Currencies are the lifeblood of trade and the economy; if a currency fails, the entire economy fails. Yet, most people rarely think about the health or buying power of the money in their pocket. People don’t research how often currencies actually falter and how common it is for inflation or stagflation to strike nations. They just assume that the money they have will be as useful tomorrow as it is today. They also assume that money will never change in a dramatic way.

This lack of interest in how money works is likely due to the fact that people are not taught how their money is created. It’s not discussed in schools, the truth is avoided in colleges and the mainstream news rarely mentions it. People think our government and treasury handles all of that, but the reality is that our government does NOT create our money; at least, it’s not in charge of the process. Central bankers are, and they operate from a “quasi-independent” position.

The public would never readily accept CBDCs as money unless their existing money lost most of its buying power and the current system was in the gutter. This is how new levels of empire are born; a major crisis allows for the elites to consolidate control while the people are distracted by their own private disasters. ‘Many’ US Secret Service text messages written between January 5 and January 6 last year have been deleted, the Homeland Security Inspector General said in a stunning letter on Thursday. The messages were allegedly erased after the inspector general’s office asked the law enforcement office for electronic communications as part of its probe into the US Capitol attack. The letter, first obtained by CNN, is addressed to the top members of the House and Senate Homeland Security Committees. It states that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told its watchdog the messages were deleted ‘as part of a device-replacement program.’ The inspector general also accuses DHS employees of stonewalling requests for information until they were reviewed by the department’s lawyers. ‘This review led to weeks-long delays in [the inspector general’s office] obtaining records and created confusion over whether all records had been produced,’ the letter states.

They refused to sit beside German soldiers when they rode on public transportation—an act of defiance that enraged the Germans so much that they made it illegal to stand on the bus if there were seats open.
  • An illegal press was established in order to keep everyone informed after the Nazis attempted to cut Norway off from the BBC. When the German military began to conscript young men into the army, thousands fled to neighbouring Sweden to escape service. The Germans promptly withheld ration cards from those who didn’t sign up—at which point the resistance stole some 150,000 ration cards, and the military was forced to stop their efforts on that front.
  • As for the Norwegian Jews, although 700 were shipped to Auschwitz, the remainder—1000 or more—were smuggled into Sweden by the resistance, which was no small accomplishment.
  • Germany occupied Norway until the end of the war. Around 40,000 Norwegians were imprisoned during the interim, and over 10,000 lost their lives. Another 40,000 or so had escaped to Sweden and slowly began returning home when the Germans began to leave.

The motion for summary judgment, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and Durie Tangri LLP, explains that the Archive’s Controlled Digital Lending (CDL) program is a lawful fair use that preserves traditional library lending in the digital world.

The brief explains how the Internet Archive is advancing the purposes of copyright law by furthering public access to knowledge and facilitating the creation of new creative and scholarly works. The Internet Archive’s digital lending hasn’t cost the publishers one penny in revenues; in fact, concrete evidence shows that the Archive’s digital lending does not and will not harm the market for books.

“Should we stop libraries from owning and lending books? Every year, the 3,000-foot-high peak becomes awash with the red, yellow and orange leaves of fall, making it a popular destination for barbecues and youthful revelry.

In October 2006, Rokkō provided the perfect place for Mitsutaka Uchikoshi, a 35-year-old civil servant, to go picnicking with a group of friends. After a day spent sharing food and stories near the peak, Uchikoshi’s friends decided to take the cable car back to Rokkō’s base and head home. Uchikoshi chose to hike down one of the mountain paths alone.

Then he disappeared.

On his way down, Uchikoshi lost his footing, causing him to slip, knock his head and break his pelvis. Unable to move or call for help, he lay wounded on the side of the mountain. At night the autumn cold, dropping as low as 50 degrees Fahrenheit, crept into his bones. He passed out.

After 24 days, he was found by a passing climber and transferred to Kobe City Medical Center General Hospital. He was extremely hypothermic and cold to the touch. Many of his organs were failing. According to news reports at the time, Uchikoshi’s doctors reasoned he had fallen into a state “similar to hibernation,” just like a groundhog might.

Celebrate the True Meaning of Freedom on Independence Day

For some, freedom means the right to vote, for others it represents the opportunity for an education. Two months ago the VLB Voices of Veterans Oral History Program launched a video project called “What Freedom Means” as a way to honor our Veterans and military members on this upcoming Independence Day. We asked Texas Veterans, military members and their supporters to share their thoughts and feelings about freedom and why it’s meaningful to them.

All of these ideas about the liberty we enjoy remind us that we owe a lot to our Veterans and military members without whom none of these freedoms would exist. They are proud to wear their uniforms and serve this great nation, and in turn, we are proud to honor and serve them.

On this Fourth of July, as you reflect upon the anniversary of our independence, we ask that you express your gratitude to a Veteran or military member for the great sacrifices they have made for our country.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!

I wonder how many people even think about how many have died or worse to “give” us out “freedom”?  

I’m sure all the politicians and bureaucrats will out in force to lead parades.  But have been selling us into bondage.

On March 30, 2010, Obama signed the Health Care and Education Act charging the U.S. Department of Education to make 100 percent of all government-funded college loans, effective on July 1 of that year. In 2010, student loan debt totaled $760 billion. In 2022, the total outstanding student loan debt will more than double to a record $1.7 trillion. In 2017, a study by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York concluded that “more federal aid to students enables colleges to raise tuition more.” Raising U.S. higher education tuition costs to a level middle-class families cannot afford is not a problem as long as the government makes the taxpayer pay the price.

The Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy.

Went to check out and the ETA switched to SIX day delivery.

Why did Amazon waste my time?

Placed an order for delivery. Went thru no problem.

Two days later an email that there is a problem. No phone call!  No real alternatives.

Call and after bouncing around, I got some one who explained they do NOT fill that type of prescription. 

Argh!

Bottom line they really screwed me.
