Now that’s a “beauty queen”. No one should have to kill a fellow human being. But self-defense here did what all the Gooferment courts could NOT — protect her rights. How does that bumper sticker go “God made man and woman; Sam Colt made them equal”! Florida is catching up on NH for my affection with the Castle Doctrine. (Defend your home and the Gooferment bureaucrats can’t bother you. Nor can the dead guy sue.) “Better judged by 12 than carried by six”.

Brown, who reigned as the 2009 Miss Tierra Verde, snatched her gun from a nearby bedroom and shot the suspect several times – hitting him in the chest, groin, thigh and back, her fiance said. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.

Panthaber, meanwhile, said he and his fiancee are lucky to be alive. He said he purchased the pink handgun for Brown last Christmas and that the two had gone to target practice together.
“She was not a good shot at the range,” he quipped.

Good enough. Only four shots. She may have violated an old “rule of thumb” that I quoted in Church:
“Ask God’s help between each pull of the trigger. I like “JMJHELP’ myself. Feel free to select your own short one. This rifle has eight shots. When the clip springs out, it’s empty. You should play dead. Lay as flat as you can and pray. Someday, someone may kill you with your own weapon. But they should have to beat you to death with it. Because it’s empty.”
Keep shooting until the weapon is dry.
