Job Interview question!!!?
Ok I got fired from my last job for being late to work alot…..I been working for a temp agentcy now and im still employed with them. When I got fired I was 19 years old, that was my first real job, Now Im much older and I learned from my mistake…..Now when they ask me why did I leave my first job, what should I tell them so they would still considered me for the job??? I really really want this job, I dont want to mess things up for my future. please help!!!

Juan: You’ve collected a lot of good answers. Honesty is the best policy. But how would they know you got fired from a job when you were 19 (which must be so last year)? Did you steal the cash AND the cash register in addition to being tardy? Most folks won’t want to know that you were “fired”. That’s a giant red flag. Especially if you proudly admit it. So as I understand it, your resume has “XYZ temp” and “ZYX Stores”. Didn’t you have lots of other “jobs”. Mowing lawns. Don’t pad what you don’t have. Also the temp jobs, did you just work at one place? You could list the ones that kept asking you back as a bullet point under XYZTEMP. If you kept being used by DEFG Enterprises, even if its a few weeks here and there, you can use that as evidence of your value.
