Subject: WHAT A SWEET LADY

Thought more than once about forwarding this. The language is bad, but is the least offensive part of these quotes from her. Note: I know…some of you will say you hear this from many women but they aren’t looking to run for the presidency!

Her attitude toward those people protecting her & those that work for her display her true colors.

MADAME HILLARY CLINTON ~~ WHAT A SWEET LADY!?!

ORIGINAL AUTHOR OF THIS E-MAIL HAS PROVIDED MANY REFERENCES FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO CHECK THE AUTHENTICITY OF THESE REMARKS

EIGHT QUOTES FROM 8 DIFFERENT BOOKS….my ears are still ringing! Sorry about the language but these are her actual words. What a sweet -lady?

(1) “Where is the G*damn flag? I want the G*damn f**king flag up every morning at f**king sunrise.” From the book “Inside the White House” by Ronald Kessler, p. 244; Hillary to staff at the Arkansas Governor’s mansion on Labor Day 1991.

(2) “F**k off! It’s enough I have to see you shit-kickers every day! I’m not going to talk to you, too!! Just do your G*damn job and keep your mouth shut.” From the book “America Evita” by Christopher Anderson, p. 90; Hillary to her State Trooper bodyguards after one of them greeted her with “Good Morning.”

(3) “If you want to remain on this detail, get your f**king ass over here and grab those bags!” From the book “The First Partner” p. 259; Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident.

(4) “Stay the f**k back, stay the f**k back away from me! Don’t come within ten yards of me, or else! Just f**king do as I say, Okay!!?” From the book “Unlimited Access” by Clinton’s FBI Agent-in-Charge, Gary Aldrige, p. 139; Hillary is screaming at her Secret Service detail.

(5 )”Where’s the miserable c**k sucker?” (otherwise known as “Bill Clinton.” From the book “The Truth about Hillary” by Edward Klein, p.5; Hillary shouting at a Secret Service officer.

(6 )”You f**king idiot” From the book “Crossfire” ~ p. 84; Hillary to a State Trooper who was driving her to an event.

(7) “Put this on the ground! I left my sunglasses in the limo. I need those f**king sunglasses! We need to go back! From the book “Dereliction of Duty” p. 71-72; Hillary to Marine One helicopter pilot to turn back while en route to Air Force One.

(8) “Come on Bill, put your d**k up! You can’t f**k her here!!” From the book “Inside the White House” by Ronald Kessler, p. 243; Hillary to Gov. Bill Clinton when she spots him talking with an attractive female
.
* * * * *

This ill-tempered, violent, loud-mouth, hateful and abusive woman wants to be your next President, and have total control as Commander and Chief of our Military; the very Military for which she has shown incredible disdain throughout her public life. Surely the people of the United States can do better than this!

# – # – # – # – #

MY RESPONSE:

I have less trouble with her language or lack of class.

I do have a problem with her track record and lack of accomplishments. I really don’t care if she’s a capital B <synonym for female dog>!

I do care about her ethical lapses that have been well documented. Off the top of my head: her dismissal as from the Watergate committee for unethical behavior by a leading D; White Water; and Option-gate. And on and on.

And, one might even over look these “character flaws”, if she was getting <synonym for excrement> done. Again off the top of my head, Hillary-care, her “career” as the carpet bagging Senator from NY, and her recent stint as Secretary of State with its dismal results.

I’m sorry that woman have advanced her as their “standard bearer”. They would have been better served by Condi Rice, or any of the countless businesswomen, or heck even some stay at home Moms who could do a better job.

Argh!

Note that I am an equal opportunity dis-like-er, there are certain R’s that have an equal amount of disdain for.

RANT: Comedian Joan Rivers Dies at 81; Requiescat In Pacem

Thursday, September 4, 2014

Comedian Joan Rivers Dies at 81
Joan Rivers, a talk-show host, actress and red-carpet critic who rose to the top of comedy’s ranks while unapologetically skewering everyone and everything she passed along the way, died Thursday in New York following complications from a medical procedure. She was 81 years old.

Ms. Rivers rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s on the talk-show scene. After first appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” in 1965, Ms. Rivers started a talk-show career that included stints on “The Tonight Show” and “The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers” on Fox in 1986. Ms. Rivers become a permanent fixture on TV after that, most famously as a critic of celebrity fashion.

Changing the Game in Youth Sports

Posted In Leadership, Problems in Youth Sports, TED talks

On April 26, 2014 I had the honor of presenting a talk at TEDx Bend Oregon entitled “Changing the Game in Youth Sports.” The power of the TED platform, and its international recognition as a brand that brings “ideas worth sharing” to the forefront of conversation, was such an incredible platform to be able to present the 14 minute version of the Changing the Game Project mission.

Suggest this should be required watching to “license” adults to watch youth sports.

Reminds me of an Evy story.

I had thought I’d reported this one, but I can NOT find it. If you know where I did write it up, please let me know where, compare the recitations, and see if my memory is failing.

Don’t remember when. It might have been when she had her 28-1 “dream team”.

I remember her perennial instructions to Tom, the assistant coach and ex-Marine, and me, as the ball boy, “Don’t yell at the girls. Tell them what they did right. Tell them how to do it right. But unless they specifically ask you want they did wrong, don’t tell them that they did it wrong. They will then focus on not getting yelled at instead of having fun.”

Anyone, who knew Ev, knows you disregarded her instructions at your own peril. Especially about her beloved basketball.

So I recollect “we” were playing and one of our “star guards” was having a bad day. As I remember it was a close game. It might have been against Doug of Saint Matthias, who believed he could out-coach any mere woman.

So the Dad of the “star guard” was “coaching” her from the spectator’s side. Loud enough for folks in the next county to here. And, it wasn’t Ev’s style of “positive encouragement”.

So, when her Irish patience ran out, which as I recollect lasted until the THIRD quarter — never lasted that long with me, she called time out. Turned to Tom and said: “Please take the huddle and tell some jokes to loosen them up.” She walked across the court DIRECTLY to the Dad.

(As her husband, I could see the “smoke” coming from her ears.)

She went to the Dad and whispered in his ear till the ref blew his whistle.

(It seemed like a very long time out. I think the ref was waiting for her to finish. That Dad had some non-positive comments for the ref and his ability. I know I wouldn’t have interrupted her. The refs all liked her because she rarely gave them <synonym for excrement>!)

She walked back across and said to the girls: “OK, now let’s focus, and have some fun. Saint Augustine … (the school’s name) …” to which the girls all finished “… pray for us.”.

The game went on. I remember “we” won going away.

Oh the Dad? Never heard a peep from him for the REST OF THE SEASON.

A week or so later, at a KofC meeting, one of the other Dad’s came over to me and said: “I didn’t know you married a Marine Drill Sargent?” I said: “Huh?” While he could NOT hear every word, the ones he repeated were mildly surprising.

The line that I loved was: “When she is on THAT court, she MY player; NOT YOUR daughter. Don’t you %^&*@ dare speak to my PLAYER that way EVER again.”

That was Our Girl. Very Lady-like. Until the pot boiled.

Funny, all the other Dads got the message.

No one wanted to be “called out” like that.

Like the @tswift13 song, she was “FEARLESS”!

Especially where “her girls” were concerned.

WRITING: FOWG’s tunnel

2011 Highway 2
After Action Report

This was the away team’s 571st consecutive nightly effort to bring people out of NuYurk. The eight man team was dedicates to helping the refugees escape. For security purposes, after the first night, we pledged to do it for as long as possible. To prevent leaks, we kept the operation a closely guarded secret.

Our Sister Church would collect refugees in the meeting house. After dark, they would hood the refugees and load them into a member’s delivery truck. It would bring them to the East End Warehouse that was built over the west entrance. Lashed together the refugees were led down and through the tunnel to the East End Barn. There they were loaded onto three smaller delivery trucks. Those trucks each went to our Church by different routes; timed to arrive at different intervals.

At the Church, the refugees were unhooded, assigned a shepherd, and sent on their way to Canada, New Hampshire, Maine, or other free counties.

On the night of Christmas Eve, our activity was uncovered. Elements of the NuYurk State Secret Police surrounded the West End Warehouse. While we were unarmed, as our faith demanded, we did have some diversions planned. Fireworks and explosions were to divert them while we saved as many as we could.

The team and about 25 refugees were taken. It’s unfortunate that several of the Secret Police died as a result of gunshot wounds. And, despite assertions of their state run media, we were all unarmed.

As previously agreed the team, stood mute.

After several months in jail, a release was negotiated by the Swiss Embassy.

Historical Marker:

FOWG’s tunnel In the last days of the United States of America, a man, aware of the Shoah, bought a farm on the New Your State / Vermont border. For a decade, alone, he carved out a 4.2 mile tunnel. When the Terrors struck in what was to become the Pepuls Republik of Nu Yurk, Nu Jerzee, and Chusetts, but before their “Real Id”, fences, and Border Patrol could limit the movement of “political undesirables”, thousands of people fled to safety.

In this particular place, aided by the Society of Friends on both sides of the border, it’s estimated that over 36,000 people reached safety via the tunnel. Many details are lost, due to the silence of all involved.

After the collapse of the People’s Republik, the west end of the tunnel was rebuilt and the two sites across the now peaceful border was dedicated as a shrine to Courage, Liberty, and Civil Disobedience.

The meaning of the one sign, “FOWG’s highway to hell”, over the Vermont barn is lost. But, there is no doubt of the meaning of the other: “Bon courage a vous tous / God Bless Vermont”.

One can only wonder who FOWG was and why he undertook this Noah-like project. He passed before it was used for its intended purpose. So many details are lost; what was not lost was lives. This was life saving effort to those refugees and their progeny.

“At 4:30 a.m. ET today, during routine network maintenance, an issue with our Internet backbone created disruption with our Internet and On Demand services,” the company explained, in a statement emailed to FoxNews.com. “As of 6 a.m. ET services were largely restored, as updates continue to bring all affected customers back online.”

Time Warner Cable spokesman Scott Pryzwansky told FoxNews.com that the company is still investigating the root cause of the outage, and, at this stage, is unable to provide a definitive number of affected customers

TINFOILHAT: Louis Freeh, Curious Car Crash, Media black out?

Curious Car Crashes: Louis Freeh, The Man With The Secrets
By Russ Baker on Aug 28, 2014

*** begin quote ***

Any serious student of history is on alert for “interesting accidents.” Because sometimes they are accidents. Sometimes, they’re not.

We have no opinion at the moment on the one-car-wreck that left former FBI director Louis Freeh badly injured around noon on August 25, other than to note some curious facts: the police were hours late informing the office of the governor of Vermont; Freeh was flown by helicopter to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in New Hampshire under armed guard, and has remained under armed guard; the hospital has refused to confirm that he is a patient, even after reports of two surgeries; at least for the first few days no one has answered the phones at his company, Freeh Group International.

*** and ***

Louis Freeh was appointed by George H.W. Bush to the federal bench in 1991. In the first year of Bill Clinton’s presidency, Clinton named Freeh head of the FBI.

Right from the start, the Freeh FBI was drenched in controversy. The “screw-ups” were legion—from the exposure of fraudulent FBI crime lab results to the wrongful blaming of an innocent man for the bombings at the Atlanta Olympics—to the bloody standoff and shootout at Ruby Ridge.

*** and ***

If he dared, Louis Freeh could shed a great deal of light on two decades of frequent security emergencies that have led to the greatest buildup of state power in the history of the United States—and limited Americans’ freedom and privacy as never before. Freeh’s strange crash—like most such incidents (see the bizarre one-car crash that killed national security reporter Michael Hastings) – will almost certainly be explained as a flukish accident.

And Freeh, the lucky survivor, is unlikely to volunteer to spread truth about the crash, or any of the other curious events in which he has been involved as the consummate intelligence-establishment insider.

*** end quote ***

Sorry, I know I am called a tin foil hat Conspiracy Theorist.

But did you hear about this accident?

And on the internet where everything is reported.

Do you realize how much he may know about the scandals and bodies?

Yet, I have the tin foil hat!

HARDWARE: Bond multiple internet connections

Monday, September 1, 2014

Carrier grade capabilities coming down to high end user price levels.

It’s easily now in the SMB range. Won’t be long before it’s in SOHO.

Bond 4g, 3g, cable / fios, cell phone bandwidth together.

Never dreamed of in the old days.

Wow.

*** begin quote ***

Introducing SimplyBonding from 3Gstore
3Gstore is thrilled to announce our new hosting service that allows you to bond multiple internet connections with minimal equipment and easy setup: SimplyBonding. Unlike failover or load balancing, a bonded connection takes multiple internet connections and COMBINES them. The resulting connection is both faster and more reliable: if you have 3 internet connections that are bonded together and one goes down, your connected devices and apps will never know there was a failure – even apps that maintain persistent connections!

Video: SimplyBonding Unbreakable Internet

What is bonding?

When businesses need a more reliable internet connection, they often turn to Failover or Load Balancing, features familiar to many users and available on a variety of consumer and enterprise grade routers. Failover routers have the ability to switch over to a secondary connection when one internet connection goes down, but you lose the connection during the switchover (and again when the primary connection comes up again and it switches back), and failover doesn’t help with connection speeds. Load Balancing routers split the traffic load amongst multiple internet connections, but they do not aid in reliability or increase speed. Failover and load balancing are useful features, but they are NOT the same as bonding.
A bonded connection takes multiple internet connections and COMBINES them to create a faster and more reliable stream. The concept of bonding (AKA aggregating) internet connections has been around for years, but it has historically been prohibitively expensive and very complicated to deploy and manage. SimplyBonding solves both of those problems!

RANT: Loris Lerner’s IRS emails do still exist…

Sunday, August 31, 2014

Dear Friend & Supporter,

We wanted to make sure you saw the breaking developments in our IRS investigation. In a bombshell admission, forced out by Judicial Watch lawsuits, the Obama Administration has disclosed that backs-ups of Loris Lerner’s IRS emails do still exist…

Please donate right now to keep the heat on Obama’s IRS.

Judicial Watch Statement on Discovery of Backups for “Missing”
Lois Lerner IRS Emails

Judicial Watch announced the following developments in our IRS missing emails investigation. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton stated:

Department of Justice attorneys for the Internal Revenue Service told Judicial Watch on Friday that Lois Lerner’s emails, indeed all government computer records, are backed up by the federal government in case of a government-wide catastrophe. The Obama administration attorneys said that this back-up system would be too onerous to search. The DOJ attorneys also acknowledged that the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) is investigating this back-up system

We obviously disagree that disclosing the emails as required would be onerous, and plan to raise this new development with Judge Sullivan.

This is a jaw-dropping revelation. The Obama administration had been lying to the American people about Lois Lerner’s missing emails. There are no “missing” Lois Lerner emails – nor missing emails of any of the other top IRS or other government officials whose emails seem to be disappearing at increasingly alarming rate. All the focus on missing hard drives has been a diversion. The Obama administration has known all along where the email records could be – but dishonestly withheld this information. You can bet we are going to ask the court for immediate assistance in cutting through this massive obstruction of justice.

Here is the second set of sworn declarations by IRS officials in response to Judge Emmet G. Sullivan’s investigation into the missing emails of Lois Lerner and other IRS officials. The declarations were provided after close of business on Friday, August 22.

Sincerely,

Your Judicial Watch Team

Court Upholding Ban on Militia-Suitable Firearms Ignores Key Second Amendment Purpose
By David Codrea published on August 15, 2014 in Legal Issues

*** begin quote ***

U.S. District Judge Catherine C. Blake decided Tuesday against plaintiffs in Kolbe v O’Malley, a challenge to Maryland’s Firearm Safety Act, ruling “assault weapons” and their standard-capacity magazines “fall outside Second Amendment protection as dangerous and unusual.”

The Clinton-appointed judge went through double-jointed judicial contortions, revealing politically-motivated hostilities to be dissected by no shortage of legal scholars and pundits. They, and readers following their work, will be examining case details and disconnects, including prejudicial weapon descriptions, agenda-driven “expert” testimony, and myriad questionable assertions presumed by the court to be indisputable facts. Those include allegations of enhanced danger posed by the affected firearms, challenges to the effectiveness of the weapons in home-defense situations, dismissal of the relative distribution of such guns among the population, abuses of the demonized weaponry by criminals, and offensive police training comparison arguments used to undermine equal protection and disparage gun-owner competency. Those can then all be balanced against fraudulent “compelling state interest” and judicial scrutiny-level arguments, as if the security of a free State isn’t the most compelling interest, and as if unalienable rights don’t merit the strictest scrutiny.

*** end quote ***

What part of “shall not be infringed” doesn’t the judges, politicians, and bureaucrats not understand?

You can not parse a “right”!

The ability to resist the Gooferment and it’s Gestapo is fundamental.

Sellout: JPFO to be handed off to SAF — unless we stop it
Friday, August 22nd, 2014

*** begin quote ***

I was hoping I wouldn’t have to post this, but now that we’re out of alternatives I’ll be as succinct as I can and attempt (no doubt unsuccessfully) to keep my most heated personal judgments to a minimum.

Somebody reminded me this week of that statement from Aaron, the late, great founder of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership. That was how Aaron contrasted himself and JPFO with Alan Gottlieb and Gottlieb’s SAF/CCRKBA.

Aaron wanted to educate people so that victim disarmament would go away. He would have been thrilled to be able to close JPFO’s doors and say, “We’ve done it.”

On the other hand, he despised Alan Gottlieb and saw him as an opportunist who used scary mailings to turn SAF/CCRKBA into a fundraising factory. He saw Gottlieb as a person who needed and wanted “gun control” because that’s what kept the money and the publicity flowing.

*** end quote ***

Nine-year-old girl kills shooting instructor with an Uzi submachine gun in U.S.

# – # – # – # – #

This is STUPID in action.

Where where the parents?

Where did this “shooting instructor” get his training?

Has anyone ever fired a full auto? Which ever way it ejects, than it will move in the opposite direction.

The joke in boot was that if an untrained shooter is firing fully auto at you, then go low and charge when it runs out in a few seconds.

During the “War of Northern Aggression”, Union supply officers wanted to discourage repeating rifles because it would encourage soldiers to waste ammo and exacerbate supply shortages.

Full auto is for defending again a Banzai charge. Nothing else. The Marines have proven that semi-auto is “good enuf”!

When recently I was a “strange gun shoot” (i.e., 15 different guns from 22 to 50 cal semi-auto fixed mount machine gun), there was an instructor and range safety officer at every firing position as well as 5 range safety officer watching each of three stations and one Chief Range Safey Officer in something like a tennis umpire’s chair watch the entire range and commanding “Hot and Cold”.

Argh!

What were these fools going to do next? Have the child juggle a few running chainsaws.

Between the open carry fools, who damage the cause, and this one, we don’t need “gun control advocates” to oppose us, we are doing the job for them.

TGIF: LIBERTY IN AMERICA DURING THE GREAT WAR
by Sheldon Richman
August 15, 2014

*** begin quote ***

The Justice Department under Attorney General Thomas Gregory encouraged citizen surveillance through its link to the American Protective League, “a group of amateur sleuths and loyalty enforcers,” in Kennedy’s description. Said Gregory, “I have today several hundred thousand private citizens — some individuals, most of them as members of patriotic bodies, engaged in … assisting the heavily overworked Federal authorities in keeping an eye on disloyal individuals and making reports on disloyal utterances.” Kennedy says that by the end of the war, the APL had 250,000 members.

This was also the period in which the United States got the Espionage Act and amendments known as the Sedition Act. Under the authority of the Espionage Act, Postmaster General Albert Sidney Burleson banned publications from the mail or stripped them of their second-class mailing permits for even suggesting that Wall Street or the arms industry controlled the government. Criticizing the government was regarded as aiding the enemy.

POLITICAL: Too much of a pistol

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

[Those of us who served in the “old Army” (pre-1985) would insist that the M1911A1 firing the .45 ACP meets all the requirements. The Thompson-LaGarde Tests of 1904 led the Army and the Cavalry to decide a minimum of .45 caliber was the most effective pistol cartridge. They noted, however, that training was critical to make sure a soldier could score a hit in a vulnerable part of the body. But it seems clear that the 1911 with the .45 round has one major drawback – it is too much of a pistol for female personnel to handle.]

VETERANS: The serviceman’s 56-year struggle to get benefits

Monday, August 25, 2014

VA Disputed Claim – Willie McCall $100,000+ – source Associated Press

WSFA-TV, a Montgomery television station, reported that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is giving an Alabama veteran more than $100,000 after the serviceman’s 56-year struggle to get benefits. Korean War veteran Willie McCall, 85, suffers from debilitating, combat-related health issues. During his time as a rifleman during the Korean conflict, the weather was so cold it left him with frostbite, jungle rot and circulation issues, McCall said. Despite multiple diagnoses, McCall was denied VA benefits and those denials date back to the late 1950s.

Recent documents showed the VA sent McCall to a doctor to assess his condition before the latest hearing on his claim. Despite the doctor’s written order confirming the combat wounds, the VA didn’t consider that document and denied McCall’s benefits again. To appeal would have taken another year and a half. Before totally giving up, McCall’s nephew, Freddie Porterfield, contacted the 12 News Defenders. They took the problem to the Central Alabama VA and after review McCall’s benefits were granted. The VA’s decision came after several weeks of calls, forms and multiple emails.

In addition to approving the claim VA gave McCall a check for more than $100,000 in back pay. This was the monetary compensation he would have received backdated to the time his initial claim was submitted. The VA also set up more appointments for potential compensation for other health claims.

Anyone think that Gooferment is a “good idea”?

RANT: Use of the word “Heroes”

Saturday, August 23, 2014

I believe “Heroes” is a word reserved for those who do something “heroic”.

  • Run into a burning building to save a stranger’s little child.

  • Stand up for a minority at risk of your own safety like that black man protecting the innocent trucker during the Rodney King riots.
  • Or the whistle blower who stands up for what’s right at risk of their personal career and paycheck.

While some folks are “exemplars” of the behavior that we all want to exhibit, I rarely believe the word “heroes” is warranted.

And, I’d be very embarrassed if it ever was applied to me and I didn’t “earn it”.

Just my humble opinion for what it is worth.

I think there are many folks out there who are positive and negative examples.

But “heroes” are few and far between.

At the end of the day, “Doing” and “Accomplishing” is more important than “Acting” and inflated “Labels”.

And there is such a thing as “Stolen Valor”.

My next rants should be about “public servants” and “first responders” as misused terms.

EVLYNN: 10,500 ml of my best platelets donated

Friday, August 22, 2014

I was able to donate a “triple”. 10,500 ml of my best platelets. (Laff! Since it’s about 95% of my platelets, it must include my “best”. Fret not, the body replaces them in 24 hours.) I’m told that’s enough to help 6 people. Or more, if the “bank” is short, then I presume they “cut” them. Ev’s bags ranged from a low of 190 ml to a high of 320 ml.

Feel free to join in. It’s truly the “gift of life”.

One of the regulars was a “no show”, so can you fill in?

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the man, 21-year-old Marquise Trevel Yates, broke into a home on Seabrook Cove Road, off Arlington Expressway, about 6:30 a.m. and threatened the homeowner, 50-year-old Foster Coker, at gunpoint.

Police said there was a struggle between Yates (pictured below) and Coker, but Coker was able to get away.

“The homeowner was able to retrieve a firearm and the suspect of the robbery was deceased at the scene,” said Sgt. Michael Paul.

According to the police report, Coker retrieved his personal firearm and exchanged gunfire with Yates. Coker’s wife, Pam, also fired her personal handgun at Yates, who died at the scene.

Wow!

While as a pro-life pro-choice little L libertarian, I am saddened at the loss of any human like!

But the chutzpah of an occupied home invasion is stunning.

What else can people do?

One less criminal! And, hopefully, the message gets out!

OCOEE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) – The victim of a violent purse-snatching in Orange County is telling her story to Fox 35 after being discharged from the hospital.

74-year-old Charlotte Dunaway was released from Orlando Regional Medical Center, but is still recovering from Friday’s attack at an Ocoee Publix.

I guess Florida hasn’t issue enough carry permits.

What chance does a 74 year old woman have against two “urban yutes”?

It’s hard not to stereotype when you see videos like this.

I imagine “Harry Callahan” at the Publix. Wonder what he’d say or do there?

“I know what you’re thinking, punk. You’re thinking “did he fire six shots or only five?” Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow you head clean off, you’ve gotta ask yourself a question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya, punk?” — Clint Eastwood as Harry Callahan in the 1971 classic “Dirty Harry”

INTERESTING: Continually transmit a vehicle’s position

LOOK OUT! CARS MUST BE ABLE TO WARN EACH OTHER SAYS GOVERNMENT

*** begin quote ***

Cars and light trucks of the future must be able to talk to each other and warn of potential dangers. This first step from the government requiring the technology could prevent thousands of accidents and fatalities.

How would it work? A radio signal would be used to continually transmit a vehicle’s position, speed and other info. Other cars equipped with the same technology would be able to read the data and warn of any potential collision. The range of the radio signal is limited to about 300 yards. Plenty of distance to warn your car of any potential accidents.

*** end quote ***

I’d rather have the self-driving Google cars.

And my “Big Brother” paranoia rises to the top.

  • Your car “broadcasts” that your tags, insurance, or inspection is expired. And the “revenue agents” are summoned to ticket you. Or maybe you’re tried in absentia?
  • Your car records your speeding and is used against you in a court of law. It hears you texting, exiting, or smoking and notifies the appropriate “revenue agent”?

  • It has a breathalyzer add on?
  • Your neighborhood mechanic disables the feature. So much for that much ballyhooed save at the stop light.
  • Hackers take over your car? Impossible, yeah right!

  • How long until Crony Capitalists figure out other <synonym for excrement> to force you to put on your car?
  • And yet another pos that will fail and / or require maintenance.
  • Also, roadside checkpoints to ensure it’s working “to protect the public”.

I think I don’t like this idea until the “bugs” are out of the District of Corruption.

It was WELL established during the Cold War that the Russian KGB had a very simple response to anyone who “molested” their Ambassador, Consul, Embassy Staff, and some said even Russian Tourists.

They would seek out the miscreant and KILL them, their immediate family, and any other relatives that were handy.

Even if the “molestation” was accidental.

The joke at the time was that muggers would ask for their victim’s passports to prevent retribution.

And, while I am a little L libertarian, who is an anti-interventionist, BHO44 has to drop something on somebody to make a point!

Argh!

Bring all our girls and boy home NOW, and MYOB! Then this stuff won’t happen!

Argh squared!

MONEY: The tomato soup standard of value

Monday, August 18, 2014

http://keywestlou.com/a-good-time-last-night

*** begin quote ***

Then to Publix. I bought nothing. Cost $51. How do families do it?

When I was in high school, I worked in what was then called a supermarket. The time 1949. Supermarkets then were not the huge stores of today. Not even close. One of my jobs was to stock the shelves. One of the items was Campbell Tomato Soup. Five cents a can. I noticed Publix was having a Campbell Tomato Soup sale. Four cans for $4.95. $1.24 a can.  Although more than 60 years later, still a major increase!

*** end quote ***

I would suggest to you that the difference is not “a major increase”, but a way to recognize that the value of “a dollar” — whatever that is — has dropped from 0.05 to 1.24.

Some economists — mostly from the Von Mise’s “Austrian School” — have asserted — I believe correctly — that the dollar has lost anywhere from 99.9% to 90% of its value depending on the interval you choose to measure.

In your specific example, it’s 95%!

Argh!

It’s about the Federal Reserve System, that is the OPEC of American Banks, Gooferment debt, Gooferment spending, cowardly politicians, and spendthrift bureaucrats.

The dollar, like the history of the French Franc, has been “devalued” day by day. Today the dollar is a shadow of its former self.

That’s the problem.

Tomato soup hasn’t become more expensive; the dollars used to buy it are worth so much less. Ditto gas. Ditto every other product or service.

Argh!

Ron Paul Says U.S. ‘Likely Hiding Truth’ About MH17 Crash

HuffPo reports that in an Aug. 7 post at, Voices of Liberty, Ron Paul said he believes the U.S., with all its intelligence-gathering capabilities, should have a clear idea of what happened on July 17 when MH17 was shot down over Ukraine, killing all 298 people on board. But much of that information, he says, has likely been withheld from the public.
