If you think Joe Biden’s bad, just imagine President Kamala …
By Piers Morgan
June 28, 2022

*** begin quote ***

Picture the scene:

It’s July 4, 2023, and President Kamala Harris is about to address the American people about Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Poland.

She’s been leader of the free world for six months since Joe Biden, implementing the 25th Amendment, abruptly resigned on the grounds of physical and mental incapacity after the Democrats suffered the worst midterm election mauling in history, losing 120 House seats and eight Senate seats.

This beat President Grover Cleveland’s long-held ignominious 1892 record of “biggest midterm wipe-out ever” and meant the Republicans seized back full control of Congress with paralyzing, agenda-wrecking majorities.

(It was reported that Biden fell into a spontaneous catatonic state after seeing the sheer size of his failure to persuade Americans he was doing a good job, though it took White House aides several days to realize he wasn’t acting normally.)

President Harris’ tenure in office has bordered on the miraculous, in that she has managed to be even worse than her predecessor — something political experts didn’t think was possible.

In fact, her presidency has been a catalog of calamities, dominated by woke-ravaged lunacy.

Her first decision was to make freshperson Congressperson Megan Rapinoe her vice president, saying how delighted she was to appoint the first gay woman to such high office — only for Rapinoe to wreck the historic moment by issuing a furious statement saying she now identified as a non-binary bisexual womb-carrier, so had never been so offended and was quitting before she even started.

Well, since we know Slo Joe isn’t running things, who’s running the show now?

Maybe Kamala might be slightly better?

VOCABULARY: What is a “right”?

French President Macron: abortion is a fundamental right for women

# – # – # – # – #

As a fat old white guy injineer, I struggle when people use words that make no sense. When they add adjectives, they don’t seem to help my understanding.

A “right” is a meme that humans have agreed that everyone “has” by virtue of their humanity with respect to other humans.

You can chat with a lion, bear, or tiger, about your “rights”.  “Rights” have to be backed up with or enforced by force.  In polite society, “rights” are mutually agreed after a long violent process of “adjudication”.

Now we can discuss “positive” and “negative” rights.  If you have a “negative” right, it’s somethings others agree not to interfere with (i.e., “free speech”).  If you have a positive “right”, then who has an obligation to provide it?

Hence, little L libertarians don’t believe there are any “positive” rights.

Now let us parse Macron’s statement: “fundamental right”.

Clearly, he is stating a case for a “positive” right.  Who pays?  Who is FORCED to provide this service?

I don’t understand what “fundamental” adds to the equation.

And, we have to understand that “abortion” is killing a living human being. Seriously, does anyone believe that life doesn’t NOT begin at conception.

Finally, how about that human life that is being killed?  When do that young human get their “rights”?  If you have to draw lines, the ones that have been suggested are: conception, first heartbeat, end of the first trimester, when “born”.  From my pov as a fat old white guy injineer, it when that child can defend his “rights” — for sure!

Sigh!

The “game” may be having a “rules” change because used cars are more valuable than the lease’s return price.

So that means you the leaser (i.e., sucker) paid more for the value of the lease than calculated and you can’t recapture that at the end of the lease by selling the “pig” privately.

Seems like something akin to theft by fraud.

D.C. woman leaves town to help mother, returns home to destroyed Jeep
By Matt Delaney – The Washington Times – Thursday, June 23, 2022

*** begin quote ***

A D.C. resident received an unwelcome surprise when she returned home after spending months away: her Jeep had been destroyed.

Susan Hekhuis left the area at the end of February to take care of her elderly mother, who had broken her leg. But when Ms. Hekhuis sent a friend to check on her Jeep a few weeks ago, that’s when her sorry tale began, Washington NBC TV affiliate WRC-4 reported.

“There I am trying to take care of my mom and do my job and take care of a million other things, and the last thing on my mind was that you towed my car and destroyed it,” she said.

News4 reported that D.C.’s Department of Public Works had towed Ms. Hekhuis’ vehicle from its original spot on Calvert Street NW since it was along the Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon route.

The only problem is that the Jeep was towed to Connecticut Avenue NW, where street parking isn’t allowed during rush hour. The car racked up five tickets in two weeks, causing it to get towed again, this time to DPW’s impound lot in Blue Plains.

*** end quote ***

Sounds like the D.C.’s Department of Public Works owes her a new car and an apology.

When they towed her car, doesn’t that mean they have a duty to protect that asset until it’s returned to its rightful owner.

Sounds like a Fifth Amendment claim.

HEALTH: The current “system” is unsustainable; the answer is NOT Gooferment “healthcare”

The Truth Regarding Health Care
By Keith R. Jackson, M.D.

*** begin quote ***

There already exist many programs for the poor and uninsured. These could be streamlined and sensibly expanded. What would classify as a necessary addition to the equation would be possible assistance with deductibles and expansion of catastrophic insurance policies for the rest of us. Improving the portability of Health Savings Accounts, making them easier to understand and obtain, would address the former. A creative solution merging government assistance with HSAs and catastrophic insurance policies could go a long way toward appeasing both sides, even though they would scream that this “solution” is wrong. One avenue for saving is the cost of administration of the health care dollar. Private insurers’ administrative costs are surprisingly much higher than the government’s. There must be a “happy medium” there, with less bureaucracy in the former and more effective administration in the latter.

*** end quote ***

I think you can look at ANY Gooferment program and see a disaster.

As a first step, the current deductibility problem (i.e., healthcare expense is deductible to employers but not employees) has to be SOLVED.

Then let that work itself out by removing the Gooferment from the “health care system”.

PRODUCTIVITY: YSK about picking someone up at a crowded event

https://www.metlifestadium.com/getting-here/maps-diagrams

I recently turned a fun event for my fiancée into a disaster when I couldn’t pick her up promptly after the Paul McCartney concert ended.

I had studied the map and instructions about drop off and pick off.  I was very familiar with the venue giving that I’d live in the vicinity for decades.

So the drop off worked well. Lot C next to E.  And we agreed that’s where we would meet.

After dropping her off, I scouted the area and figured out where I could wait.  Got back about 10PM and the concert would end at 1030.  About 10:15, the crowd started to break.

When I tried my path to the pickup, I found all roads blocked and made outbound only. Argh!  For the better part of an hour, I tried different ways to get to the pickup point.

Finally, I went with the flow and circled around the venue on connecting roads about 2 miles out. Then I tried to reenter closest to the pickup lot. Cut through a blocked gate with I moved and used a handicapped ramp break in the curbing to get to the rendezvous point 90 mintiest after the concert ended. Argh!

AFTER ACTION REPORT

Found out that the parking lots were free after 8, so I could have just parked by the rendezvous point.

Upon reflection, I should have went to the rendezvous point long before traffic pattern was with to OUT ONLY.

All directions that I was given by the traffic folks was universally wrong except for the one guy who said: “You can’t there from here.”

Ten Years Later: Over 53K Illegal Aliens Given DACA Despite Arrest Records Including for Murder, Rape, Kidnapping
John Binder — 17 Jun 20221

*** begin quote ***

Ten years ago, in 2012, former President Barack Obama created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program via executive order that has allowed nearly 800,000 illegal aliens to evade arrest and deportation.

Standards for the Obama program were set so low that tens of thousands of illegal aliens with prior arrest records for crimes like murder, rape, and kidnapping were able to secure DACA status.

In 2018, then-President Trump’s administration released comprehensive data on DACA, previously hidden by the Obama administration, that revealed the extent to which the program had successfully helped shield criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.

From 2012 to 2018, about 53,792 illegal aliens were awarded DACA despite having prior arrest records. Meanwhile, nearly 8,000 illegal aliens awarded DACA were later arrested for crimes, the data shows.fe

*** end quote ***

This is more evidence that the Gooferment’s politicians and bureaucrats have a different agenda than “We, The Sheeple”.  If they are not going to enforce the laws, then why do we bother to pretend.

At the every least DACA should not cover felons.  And, probably not even those who make a “nuisance” of themselves.

A Stranger’s Kindness Helped Boy Escape the Nazis Who Would Go On to Win Nobel Prize–And He Never Knew it
By Andy Corbley – Jun 15, 2022

*** begin quote ***

What would you do if in the middle of the night, a stranger asked you to legally declare your financial support for an immigrant family that you would never meet—and hadn’t even arrived in your country yet?

That was essentially the proposition that Barnet Yudin, a Russian-American Jew, faced one night in 1938 when a stranger, who was going door-to-door, appealed to the man asking if he could help a Jewish family from Germany flee to North America.

While Yudin hadn’t gone on to be the doctor he dreamed of being, he and his family lived comfortably in Belleville, New Jersey—and his job as a paint salesmen brought in a healthy $120 a month.

*** and ***

“None of these people would exist today without Barnet Yudin,” David said, emphasizing the difference that Yudin’s choice made.

Joe Yudin, a great-grandson, told Nat Geo that his grandfather didn’t say, “Is this kid going to win the Nobel someday, or play shortstop for the Yankees? He did what he did because it was right and didn’t mention it to anybody. He definitely had this big picture of what humanity should be like.”

Fusion Centers: A Dangerous Surveillance Partnership
By: jprivate|Published on: Apr 8, 2022|Categories: Surveillance

*** begin quote ***

A damning report on the Maine Information Analysis Center (MIAC) or Fusion Center, reveals just how intertwined corporate and government surveillance of the public has become.

Fusion centers are notoriously secretive about public surveillance and what little we know can be summed up thusly: “official secrecy, moreover, cloaks fusion centers, so what little public information is available on a particular fusion center rarely provides much detail on its unique profile.”

The MIAC Shadow Report reveals how law enforcement goes out of their way to hide who’s actually in charge of public surveillance and is preoccupied with people committing conventional crimes.

The report begins by revealing what many of us already knew or suspected; fusion centers have been and continue to surveil protesters and activists.

“Fusion centers are the nerve system of mass criminalization” the report warns. A major concern of the authors is how fusion centers use private corporations to conduct secret facial recognition and social media surveillance of ‘people of interest’ and warns that self-governing fusion centers are fraught with peril.

Despite there being a statewide ban on using facial recognition to ID innocent people, in Maine, there is evidence MIAC uses data brokers to do an end-run around privacy bans.

Abstract

The host response to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection can result in prolonged pathologies collectively referred to as post-acute sequalae of COVID-19 (PASC) or long COVID. To better understand the mechanism underlying long COVID biology, we compared the short- and long-term systemic responses in the golden hamster following either SARS-CoV-2 or influenza A virus (IAV) infection. Results demonstrated that SARS-CoV-2 exceeded IAV in its capacity to cause permanent injury to the lung and kidney and uniquely impacted the olfactory bulb (OB) and epithelium (OE). Despite a lack of detectable infectious virus, the OB and OE demonstrated myeloid and T cell activation, proinflammatory cytokine production, and an interferon response that correlated with behavioral changes extending a month post viral clearance. These sustained transcriptional changes could also be corroborated from tissue isolated from individuals who recovered from COVID-19. These data highlight a molecular mechanism for persistent COVID-19 symptomology and provide a small animal model to explore future therapeutics.

Williams Nursery is located at 524 Springfield Ave in Westfield.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Now slated to be the location of an affordable housing complex, Williams Nursery in Westfield announced they will soon be closing for good, after serving the community for over a century.

The family-owned plant nursery’s last day will be July 3, according to a lengthy Facebook post, signed by the Williams and Jackson families who own the garden. They wrote that shutting down a business that is 102 years old is “a difficult thing.”

“There have been countless wonderful customers that have passed through our doors,” the owners wrote on Facebook. “We are going to miss sharing the smiles, and chats. We know that some of you used our store as an oasis in a bump in your lives. We are grateful that we got to help smooth the edges of those bumps.”

Brindle said the Williams Nursery has been zoned for affordable housing since the 1990s, and this project will help Westfield meet its state-mandated affordable housing obligations.

Brindle explained that the Williams Nursery cannot be repurposed for another use, even for green space, because any property previously zoned for affordable housing must either:

Maintain its current use; or Be developed into inclusionary multi-family housing once the owner chooses to sell.

Unless buyers pay fair market value and are willing to maintain the property as a nursery, Brindle said the property must be sold and developed for the purpose of affordable housing.

Sorry but the Gooferment, of all levels, is out of control. Do this! Don’t do that! IF it’s YOURS, unless we say so.

Sorry but we seem to have “tyrants” all around us.

POLITICAL: The Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee is an example of “voter fraud” and has been for decades

New Jersey Rolls Include Duplicate, Centenarian, and Unborn Voters
Fred Lucas / @FredLucasWH / June 07, 2022

New Jersey resident Patrick DePaola first registered to vote in June 1927. A 50-year employee as a printer for The New York Times, he died at age 105 more than a decade ago, in December 2010.

But DePaola, who lived in Bayonne, remains listed as an “active” voter and is among 2,398 registered voters in New Jersey who appear to be 105 or older.

That’s according to a new report by the election watchdog group Public Interest Legal Foundation, which notes that the average life expectancy in New Jersey is just under 81.

But ages in the Garden State get even more unusual, the report indicates.

And both of the established “parties” are just fine with it.

Argh!

Maybe if we eliminate “voting” then we could get an honest count.

I’d like smaller subdivisions electing a representative.  Then that rep could cast the appropriate number of votes.  All building up to the 21 county reps voting for state wide offices.

Not to hard to imagine.  Just impossible to get the oligarchy out.

Argh!

What If? Questions a Bipartisan Probe of Jan. 6 Might Have Answered
Fred Lucas / @FredLucasWH / June 09, 2022

*** begin quote ***

A bipartisan investigation of the Capitol riot would dig into the security breakdown and not ignore questions that didn’t conform to a Democrat Party narrative, said Rep. Jim Banks, whose appointment to a select committee was blocked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“If I were ranking member of the committee, we would be asking the tough questions that Pelosi doesn’t want the committee to ask, because she’s responsible but she hasn’t been held accountable for the security failures at the Capitol and [on] Jan. 6,” Banks, R-Ind., told The Daily Signal.

“The more we learn, the more we realize that there were serious security failures at the Capitol, and why doesn’t this committee want to dig into that?” Banks added later. “They don’t want to dig into it because it deviates from their political narrative.”

Part Of The Problem
The January 6th Facade

Dave Smith and Robbie The Fire Bernstein bring you the latest in politics! On this episode of Part Of The Problem Dave and Robbie take a look at the January 6th hearing and what the agenda is behind it. This episode was recorded on 6.10.22

# – # – # – # – #

What could be learned?

  • Who’s Roy Epps (the cheerleader to invade the Capitol)?  Was he an agent provocateur?
  • Who were those that entered (i.e., FBI agents, instigators, contractors?
  • What communications occurred within the Gooferment about the demonstration?
  • Why were the demonstrators waved into the building?
  • What are all the facts surrounding the killing of Ashley Babbit?
  • What was Nancy Pelosi’s role in the whole affair?

When we have an honest and open discussion of what REALLY happened, then it can be on Prime Time TV.  Otherwise it’s just more of the “Bagdad Bob” show!

GUNS: The Left likes “school shootings” to advance their gun control agenda

The Most Terrifying Reality about School Shootings
By Charles Turot

*** begin quote ***

Here is the terrifying truth: the radical left wants mass murders in schools. They are useful for gaining power. I can no longer blame friends who imagine that the killers are some sort of Manchurian candidates, released to further a narrative and serve the purposes of the left. I don’t believe that, but the idea follows logically from the same conclusion I’ve drawn about school shootings: the left likes them. The left is powerful. There will be more. We could prevent them. We won’t.

*** end quote ***

One has to believe based on the evidence — like California STOPPING reporting violent threats — that the author is onto something.

Of course, we have to harden the “soft targets”, end “gun free zones” aka target rich environments, and allow people to defend themselves.

Argh!

So simple,

HEALTH: I agree the CDC, FDA, and the NIH are immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy.

https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/i-notified-the-cdc-and-fda-again?s=r

I notified the CDC and FDA again today that they are killing people

  • They will ignore me and refuse to respond other than to say I’m wrong. But at least I’ve put them on notice (again). They can’t say “nobody ever told us we might be wrong.”

Steve Kirsch

They never respond to any of my emails because they can’t.

But it’s important to put them on notice. The other recipients were Peter Marks and Janet Woodcock. I also sent it to vaccinesafety@cdc.gov, Elaine Miller, Pedro Moro, and Lorrie McNeill, and CDC outside chair Grace Lee.

Drives me crazy that these bureaucrats are allowed to draw big bucks and still employed.

I could clean the swamp by just cutting the wage take and the whole budget.

Why does the Department of Agriculture have armed agents?

GUNS: Compare the Buffalo police to the Texas response

https://palexander.substack.com/p/buffalo-police-tops-grocery-mass?s=r

Buffalo police (TOPS grocery mass shooting) show you what brave top class police are, calmed their fears, even allowed shooter their rights, but he is evil & craven & must pay; Texas (Uvalde) schoolshowed us what NOT brave police are, they did not overcome their fears, 19 stood in the hallway, should have disregarded command in this situation, hearing shots inside, 2 different sets of policing

*** begin quote ***

The Buffalo cops must be praised and distinguished for they showed us in spades what a top notch police is and can do, how they can handle a catastrophic situation

*** end quote ***

If it was in my power and I was President, I’d invite the Buffalo police to the White House and give them a medal.

But what do I know.
