Another Idea that my wife did for me. Buy a card holding portfolio with a zipper ( 4 inches by 6 inches ). You can buy cheap one or and expensive one. Put your travel cards ( Marriott, Avis, Airline cards ), a pre-paid phone card, a quick list of emergency numbers (including car insurance number) and anything else you might need when you travel. I even move business cards for places I use out of town (dry cleaners, even kept an optometrist card for ATL when I traveled there). You can then fold itineraries, etc. in the right side and keep that with you.
I keep mine in my laptop case since I always take it, even on vacation. My wife carries hers in her makeup bag.
PS – Don’t forget business or contact cards. You’ll be surprised at who you will meet when traveling, and this make sure you have a few spares laying around.
