Thousands were inspired by the moment that happened on April 14th, after it was shared on Reddit.

It may look like the woman, who was being drenched on the sidewalk, began holding the umbrella over a covered baby stroller, but upon closer inspection, you can see it was someone in a wheelchair holding a newspaper to cover their head.

Not only did the driver go out of his way, the woman used the umbrella to shelter the person in the wheelchair instead of herself.

Now here’s a good question for a “Conspiracy Theory”.  Apparently, there are four good alternatives for what happened.  It’s seems to be a well proven “fact” that something did happen. But, since I have not touched the hull or have someone reputable touch it, I can’t know for certain.

The author makes a plausible motivation for why NATO might have done something, but that is not evidence.  And, one can’t really expect any reliable dikw (i.e., data, information, knowledge, wisdom) from Russia on the topic.  

The whole Ukrainian tale about sneaking cruise missiles in while the crew was distracted by drones seems less likely. 

So we just have to wait and see what “leaks” out.

And, I’m sure I’ve mentioned that EVERYONE  — regardless of age  — needs a will, a durable complete function power of attorney, a medical power of attorney, as well as an advance directive.  If an attorney says one size will fit all, get another attorney.  If someone says “do it yourself online at http;//… …”, get your legal advice from someone with a valid law license in your state and who specializes in estate law.  Don’t fall for​ the 99$ advertisements either.  Doing it correctly will entail at least two visits to a lawyer and a few hundred dollars in legal fees.

P.S., the will should have “self-proving” affidavits.  If it doesn’t, find another lawyer.

P.P.S., the lawyer as part of the fee should “vault” your original will for you and just give you copies.  One of which is for your executor.

P.P.P.S., Do NOT put these papers in a safe deposit box in YOUR NAME.  It’ll be sealed on your death.  I paid for my executor to rent a save deposit box in her name and my stuff is in there.  Easy cheap work around.

Remember all the famous people who died without paperwork and left a mess to get sorted out in the courts.  Wills bring out the worst in nice people.

I would point out that the USA overthrew the elected Government in the Ukraine when it was pro-Russia. 

I would also point out that the USA via “Voice of America” encouraged the Hungarian revolution and then (once again) “hung the poor dupes out to dry”.

The USA should just stop being the instigator and MYOB!

Oh BTW, Chris Coons should go put boots on the ground; not “our” young women and men.

TECHNOLOGY: Banks should have a better security system on checks

A friend got a check “washed” that had been mailed in a drop box, altered, and cashed.

Needless to say, they didn’t even conceive of such happening.

I suggested a few follow ups on what to do. 

First and foremost, immediately file a police report.

He’d notified bank and changed accounts Updated on the credit reporting agencies (transunion, experian, equifax, etc).

Then, he’s going to notify all the places he hold accounts.

Argh!

I think IMHO the banks should have the ability for account holders to “pre post” the checks they write with the check number and amount.  In effect, “write” it twice — once on paper and once on line.  Then if the check gets altered, the bank will no to reject it.  Seems simple enough to me and would be a great “value added service”.  I’d think it would be real popular with business.  After all the bank’s bill pay is almost that already.

Once again we learn that the Gooferment has really really messed up “health”, “health care”, “health care insurance”, or something else like our lives.

Just separate “health insurance” from employment by making health insurance premiums deductible from the top line, just as it is for businesses, and level the playing field.

After all you don’t lose your car insurance when you change jobs.  Why should health insurance be any different?
