5 Unanswered Questions As FBI Raids Project Veritas Over A Missing Biden Diary
BY TYLER DURDEN
SUNDAY, NOV 07, 2021 – 03:00 PM
Authored by Jonathan Turley
*** begin quote ***
There is a curious story out this weekend on reported FBI raids of writers or associates of Project Veritas, the conservative investigative journalism outfit. Project Veritas has been described variously as “Gonzo” or “guerilla” journalism and some insist it is more of a political than a press organization. However, it fits the definition of journalism, in my view, and that makes the raids troubling. All the more troubling is the cause: the missing diary of President Biden’s daughter Ashley.
*** and ***
There are a host of unanswered questions. Here are five to start with:
- What was the context for the diary’s loss? (Did Ashley Biden leave the diary in a room or was it stolen?)
- What is the alleged federal crime (and what is the precedent for a major federal investigation over such an alleged theft)?
- What precautions were taken by the Biden Administration in light of the claimed media status of the targeted individuals?
- Why was there a delay in this action being taken if the alleged theft occurred a year ago?
- Has this matter been under investigation for a year and did the White House request the intervention of the FBI?
Regardless of how one feels about Project Veritas, there should be calls from media outlets for some answers to these basic questions. Likewise, Congress should be seeking such answers as part of its oversight responsibilities.
*** end quote ***
Remember how they acted about Hunter Biden’s forgotten laptop?
And the truth about that has been very neatly dropped down the “memory hole” and forgotten.
Just like the JFK assassination!
When we will EVER get “the truth” about anything?
“Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago’s death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to.” Colonel Jessep in A Few Good Men played by Jack Nicholson

Best survival apps for your phone
UPDATED 4 WEEKS AGOBY GIDEON PARKER
*** begin quote ***
Your phone / mobile device is one of the few things you’re almost guaranteed to have nearby in an emergency. This list covers third-party apps worth downloading and lesser-known features built into Android and iOS phones.
*** and ***
- Citizen (iOS, Android, free) is a crowdsourced incident alert system. If you or others see something such as a fire, police interaction, or terrorist attack, spread the word or even livestream video to notify other app users.
*** and ***
- Signal (iOS, Android, free) is an all-in-one app for text, voice, and video. SMS text messages (ie. normal/classic texting) are terribly insecure, and most other apps like Telegram and WhatsApp aren’t much better. Signal is the trusted, encrypted king endorsed by security experts like Bruce Schneier and Edward Snowden.

And, of course, I recommend what3words to give you a very precise location description.

Apple’s Attempt to Prevent iPhone 13 Repairs Hurts Customers and Professionals
ANDREW HEINZMAN NOV 5, 2021, 3:26 PM EDT
*** begin quote ***
When our friends at iFixit did their first iPhone 13 teardown, they called the device “a new low” for repairability. Apple took unprecedented steps to prevent “unauthorized” iPhone 13 repairs—particularly screen replacements, which (by design) break the phone’s Face ID functionality.
Screen replacements are by far the most common phone repair procedure. They’re also fairly cheap and easy to perform, so as you can imagine, they’re the bread and butter of small repair shops. But unless Apple gives you permission to perform an iPhone 13 screen or battery swap, you will end up with broken features or a non-working phone.
And I’m not exaggerating when I say that you need Apple’s “permission” to repair the iPhone 13. Its components are serialized—meaning that parts like the display and Face ID camera can identify each other using unique serial numbers. To make one of these serialized components work with a donor part, an authorized Apple technician needs to sync each part with Apple’s cloud network and request approval from the corporation.
*** end quote ***
It seems apparent that Apple wants to control its “customers” like sheep to be shorn.
As much as I am a little L libertarian, we are stuck with the current system until “We, The Sheeple” stand up and say “NO!”.
‘I’M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!’ I want you to get up right now, sit up, go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell – ‘I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore!’ Things have got to change. But first, you’ve gotta get mad!… You’ve got to say, ‘I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!’ Then we’ll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: [screaming at the top of his lungs] “I’M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!” — the character Howard Beale played by Peter Finch in the movie Network (1976)
So, I hope the anti-monopoly folks take notice of this.

Recently, on both CLASSDOJO and SHUTTERFLY, I was trying to upload a photo.
In CLASDOJO, the web site would only accept a live photo. (MY workaround was to take a photo of my phone. Argh!). In SHUTTERFLY, I was trying to upload a photo from my laptop and couldn’t get it it.
After calling in and wasting time, I found out that if I used the IOS or ANDROID client, I could easily do what I wanted. In my “after action” review, a habit I got in the military, I could NOT find anything in their “help” sections that would let me avoid the phone call.
In the future, I’ll try different versions of the same offering on the off-chance that some developer was too lazy to make all the versions functional equivalent. Argh!
I’m putting this YSK on my blog so I’ll remember to follow my own advice.
FWIW YMMV
WHY YSK: I wasted a lot of my time and that of two support organizations because their sites were not intuitive and, I never thought that their IOS / ANDROID apps would be that different. DOn’t make my mistake and ASS-U-ME that everything is identical. It MAY not be.

30 Construction Solutions That Don’t Solve Problems, Only Create Them, As Shared By This Instagram Account (New Pics)
Jonas Grinevičius and Mindaugas Balčiauskas
*** begin quote ***
Many of us instinctively know whether a design is good and user-friendly or if it’s something clobbered together at the last minute without much thought for aesthetics, the future, or our poor artistic feelings. However, some home design ‘solutions’ are so problematic, they deserve to be named and shamed far and wide.
That’s where the Russian ‘Typical Rykozhop’ project on Instagram comes in. The account documents the most egregious design and construction decisions that would make any design major’s jaw drop (watch some of them faint, too!). Scroll down for the best of the truly worst (or is that the worst of the worst?) and upvote the design solutions that you simply love to hate, dear Pandas.

It’s definitely pretty funny to this fat old white guy injineer. In a few cases, it is hard to figure out what they were trying to accomplish. And, in one, I was befuddled.
Reminds me when I was working on a new building for a Wall Street datacenter. Some SVP gave the “baby” electrician aka union apprentice for some trivial thing. I think the fellow parked in the guy’s “space”; there were no markings or assignments I was aware of. When the Unions heard about this, they had had enough of the this guy and that was the straw that broke their back. It wasn’t the first time he’d <past tense synonym for urine output> them off. So they took advantage of a blanket order to work any overtime needed to get the building done ahead of schedule, and that Saturday EVERY TRADE came in to work putting up doors. They put EVERY DOOR in a nine story building in one day just as it was drawn on the plans by the architect and signed off by everyone in the chain of command. That Sunday morning, when I came it and did my daily walk thru for site security with my supervisory team, I immediately recognized what had been done. I got the dubious pleasure of calling my SVP telling him that “I thought” (I knew) EVERY DOOR was installed backward (i.e., the holes were on the hinge side). Since these were ALL special fire doors, they have to be ordered and remade from scratch. The union’s chief steward suggested that they might want to ask a certain SVP about who could park where and ALL the trades called in sick on Monday. One of the few times I ever saw the CEO, CFO, and a bunch of other Chiefs was that Monday morning at 7AM walking through the building. By lunch time, that SVP was fired and, on Tuesday, the doors began to come down very very slowly. The building was delayed two months. And, we were all verbally informed don’t mess with the unions.
Laugh!

To clear up some terms we’ll use here, “scenius” is the concept of communal genius, but we’ll use Scenius with a capital S to describe those magical time-place combinations. Scenius is the proper noun; scenius is the common one. Ancient Greece was a Scenius. The Renaissance was a Scenius. Silicon Valley was a Scenius. (Not Boring)

The Ignoble Lie
BY TYLER DURDEN
THURSDAY, OCT 28, 2021 – 06:20 PM
Authored by Victor Davis Hanson via The Epoch Times,
*** begin quote ***
In a controversial passage in Plato’s “Republic,” Socrates introduced the idea of the “noble lie” (“gennaios pseudos”).
A majestic fiction, he says, could sometimes serve society by persuading uninformed citizens of something good for them.
*** and ***
Take Dr. Anthony Fauci, our point man on the COVID-19 epidemic.
Fauci misled the country about mask-wearing during the pandemic by claiming they were of little use. But he argued that he lied so the public would not make a run on masks, deplete the supply, and thus rob medical professionals of protective equipment.
Fauci also told “noble” lies about the likely percentage of the public needing to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. He kept raising the bar—from 60 percent to 70 percent to 75 percent to 80 percent, to 85 percent.
Apparently, Fauci feared a lower figure, even if accurate, might lull people into complacency about getting inoculated.
Fauci also lied about his own role in routing U.S. aid money to subsidize gain-of-function viral research at the Wuhan virology lab—the likely birthplace of COVID-19.
Either Fauci was hiding his own culpability, or he believed the American people might not be able to fully accept that some of their own health officials were promoting the sort of research that was partially responsible for more than 700,000 American deaths.
*** end quote ***
When will #firefauci join “let’s go Brandon” and #fjb as popular jeers.
I remember the late Rush Limbaugh suggesting that people put a cardboard frame around their TV with the words “they’re lying” on it for all TV coverage of political speeches. Where’s the “fact checkers” for Fauci? He should be ridiculed and labeled anytime his on TV. If ever.
“White man speak with forked tongue.” To quote the old cowboy TV shows before “political correctness” made it impossible to show anything remotely entertaining for fear of offending somebody somewhere. Argh!

Free Stuff Isn’t Free
BY TYLER DURDEN
THURSDAY, OCT 28, 2021 – 04:27 PM
Authored by Cal Thomas via The Epoch Times,
*** begin quote ***
It’s open enrollment season for Medicare.
Local TV stations and cable networks are flooded with ads for various insurance supplements. They promise “free” dental care, free transportation to doctors, free drugs, free dentures, and lots of other free stuff.
Paid spokespersons speak of “benefits” and “entitlements.”
They say subscribers could receive as much as $100 a month back into their Social Security checks.
Even the phone number to call to sign up is “absolutely free.”
Read the small print and you’ll find that some of the plans vary by region, some by ZIP code. Sometimes there’s a nominal cost, so it’s not actually “free.” Call a “licensed” insurance agent for more details. Licensed by whom? Probably the companies selling the plans.
Some of the ads pay aging celebrities like quarterback Joe Namath, basketball legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and comedian Jimmie Walker to pitch their products.
Notice the use of certain words and how they also are used by politicians to dupe people into believing they are not getting what they “deserve” because “the rich”—those predatory, stingy, and greedy people—are not paying their “fair share” in taxes.
*** end quote ***
TANSTAAFL (“There Ain’t No Such Thing As A Free Lunch” From Robert Heinlein’s classic)
And, all you have to do is follow the money.
That commercial is paid for by somebody somehow. Like those “charity” commercials that beg for “pennies a day” or “19 dollars per month”, someone is paying for those slick commercials too. AND, do you think those old “celebrities” are doing the commercial out of the goodness of their hearts because they “care about you”? (If you do, I have bridge or two for sale!)
“Seen and unseen” occurs to me as I tap out this post. {What Is Seen and What Is Not Seen1 By Frederic Bastiat Abridged version for Common Sense Economics}
Imagine for a moment that when LBJ created “Social Security” that the nation would have rallied in opposition to it and insisted that the Gooferment was not Constitutionally to do this wealth transfer. There were good economists who predicted all sorts of bad future effects. My uncles, sitting around the dinner table, would argue about it and what I would come to understand as “the moral hazard”. Old relatives were taking their “social security checks” and moving from the old neighborhoods to Florida. They were on the take of the Democratic “dole” and would never vote to take away or reduce “their social security”. Hell, they even demanded it increase because “how could some one live on such a small check”! Argh! The Democratic politicians and bureaucrats created the first “self licking ice cream cone” of votes.
From there is was a short putt to put EVERYONE on the dole in one way or another (i.e., “welfare”; Medicaid; Medicare).

Rutgers Professor On White People: “We Gotta Take These MF’ers Out!”

Yes, really.
“Dr. Brittney Cooper, a professor in the Rutgers Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department that goes by the Twitter moniker “ProfessorCrunk,” appeared on a September YouTube interview with writer Michael Harriot of The Root to discuss Critical Race Theory and recent attempts to oppose it being taught in elementary and high schools,” reports the College Fix.
During an outburst about white people fearing retribution if they give up power to blacks, Cooper made it clear what needed to happen for whites to relinquish control.
“The thing I want to say to you is that we gotta take these motherfuckers out, but like, we can’t say that, right?,” Cooper screeched.

White exec who sued for reverse discrimination wins $10 million suit
By Jackie Salo

A former top executive at a North Carolina-based health care system has won $10 million in a legal battle over his claim that he lost his job because he is a white man.
David Duvall, a former senior vice president of marketing and communication at Novant Health, was awarded the money by a federal jury in Charlotte on Tuesday.
In his lawsuit, Duvall had alleged that he was pushed out of his job without warning or explanation in July 2018 as the company tried to diversify top leadership positions.
“We are pleased that the jury agreed that Duvall’s race and gender were unlawful factors in his termination — that he was fired to make room for more diverse leaders at Novant,” his attorney, S. Luke Largess, said in a statement to the Winston-Salem Journal.

How COVID-19 Vaccines Mandates Are Responsible for Reduced Services to Women and Babies
A new article published by Becker’s Hospital Review shows a disturbing healthcare trend that disproportionately affects women and newborn babies. Since September 1, 2021, ten hospitals have announced they are reducing services for staffing and financial reasons. Of those ten hospitals, five have announced they are ending services related to Obstetrics, Gynecology, and/or newborn infant care. Citied as one of the contributing factors for halting services to women and babies is staff resignations related to COVID-19 vaccine mandates. In Lewiston Maine, Central Maine Medical Center is closing its neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) specifically due staff resignations over the COVID-19…

Veteran Attacked, His Service Dog Tasered After Angry Woman Wrongly Accused Him of Panhandling

Gastonia, NC — Joshua Rohrer is an honorably discharged Army veteran who, like tens of thousands of other veterans, is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after serving in Afghanistan. As a result of his illness, Rohrer hasn’t been able to hold down a job and is homeless. As panhandling is illegal in the city, Rohrer simply sits on the street and waves to folks as they walk by — which ended last week in a violent encounter with police.
*** and ***
Huffman explained that after she was tasered, Sunshine took off running and hid in a nearby store.
“[Rohrer] said, ‘My dog! My dog!’” Huffman said. “They took him to the back of the police car and slammed him on the pavement.”
That’s when Conley began filming as more officers arrived on the scene.
“It was really traumatizing,” Conley said. “I’ve never seen anything like that.”
When Rohrer bonded out, he told local media that he wasn’t begging for money, despite what the caller said. He was simply sitting there, which is not illegal at all.
“They proceeded to attack me and rough me up and use excessive force what I would consider police brutality,” he said. “I wish that they would have been calm and listen to what I had to say instead of attacking me.”
According to Rohrer’s family, after finding out his dog had been killed, he is not doing well.

A Tennessee mother has shared a chilling surveillance video showing a deranged stranger breaking into her home in broad daylight and forcing her to lock herself and her terrified toddler son in the bathroom until police came to the rescue.
Keane Winchester, 26, a married mom-of-one from Lake County, says she was spending time with her two-year-old son last Thursday when she heard someone banging on her door and a male voice yelling ‘help.’
Winchester said at first she was not sure what was happening, but then she heard the intruder punching her door and windows, she told WBBJ.

“Victim disarmament is the view that it is somehow better to see a woman raped in an alley and strangled with her own pantyhose, than see her with a gun in her hand.” — T.D. Melrose
I think that this lady should have had a “tool” to dispose of this threat. Personally, an AR15 would be excellent choice (i.e., low recoils; high stopping power; highly accurate; multiple rounds available).
As a pro-life little L libertarian, I am not for killing anyone but in “self-defense” that’s a whole different situation.

Delingpole: Last Rites Should Not Have Been Denied to Slain Catholic MP
JAMES DELINGPOLE
17 Oct 2021

The police reportedly denied access to a Catholic priest who wanted to give the Last Rites to Sir David Amess MP after his fatal stabbing.
Local priest Father Jeffrey Woolnough told The Telegraph that he rushed to the scene of the attack and explained to officers that “I was the local Catholic priest and showed them my card but I wasn’t allowed. They said no one was allowed on the crime scene.”
“Now we know more about what happened I can perhaps understand it, but it’s still a great disappointment for any Roman Catholic – they want to receive the Last Rites… I always use the analogy of priests working on the battlefields in the world wars. They were anointing the men as they were dying,” he said.

Now I wonder how it would be handled for other religions? I can’t imagine that a Muslim Man would be treated this way. Maybe a Jewish rabbi because anti-semitism is OK in Protestant England.
Argh!

Yes, We Can Trust the Fed. To Keep Devaluing Our Money
By: Stefan Gleason | Published on: Oct 15, 2021
*** begin quote ***
Former Fed chair Yellen wants us to trust current Fed chair Jerome Powell when he says inflation is “transitory” and merely the effect of supply disruptions.
She doesn’t want us to focus on the fact that the central bank is now buying well over 50 percent of all new Treasury debt. Nor does she want us to be concerned that the M2 money supply is growing at a 13 percent annual rate.
Sure, let’s trust the Fed. What the Fed can absolutely be trusted to do is continue inflating.
But that means investors can’t trust fiat dollars to hold their value. Debt instruments denominated in U.S. currency will almost certainly return less than the inflation rate. Over time, bondholders risk an enormous loss of purchasing power even if the issue never results in formal defaults.

What is a “poor” “We, The Sheeple” to do?
“Poor” is used in the sense of not rich, but yet not poor enough to qualify for the Gooferment’s dole.
Well, if you’re in the bottom of that spectrum, save your nickels and stockpile your everyday needs whenever you see a bargain. I particularly like Shoprite’s “can can” sale where the Progresso soup, which is usually near $3 / can, for a dollar if you buy ten. I was putting them under my bed and using them when I felt like soup. Have to watch the expiration dates. But I usually write them on top with a big black sharpie.
For those who are the top of that spectrum, I recommend a monthly buying program of whatever you can afford in a 50/50 gold and silver mix. It doesn’t take long before you can “amass” a decent portion of “hard money”. This presumes that you have no “bad debt” (i.e., credit cards, non-zero interest car or other capital goods credits).
You can, of course, do both.
Be aware of “shrinkflation”! That’s where the package size stays the same but the content is reduced. Unit costs are the key metric.
And, remember this when the politicians say “free”!

NYC Catholic school enrollment rising amid end of Gifted and Talented program
By Conor Skelding
October 16, 2021
*** begin quote ***
Enrollment at Catholic elementary schools in Brooklyn and Queens grew for the first time in a decade as the city scraps gifted and talented programs.
Enrollment for the current school year increased by 2.4 percent, after a decade of decline, according to the Diocese of Brooklyn.
New York’s parochial schools fully reopened more or less a full year ahead of schools run by the city Department of Education, which have seen a steep enrollment and attendance drop. More recent interest in Catholic schools has been spawned by Mayor de Blasio’s announced plan to kill the Gifted & Talented classes, as parents seek alternatives to remote learning and look for more challenging classrooms.
“The families that came to us last year stayed with us,” Dr. Thomas Chadzutko, superintendent of the Diocese of Brooklyn’s schools, told The Post in an interview. “This is a positive time for Catholic education within the diocese […] It is an alternative for families.”

I trust parents more than I do the Gooferment, the Teachers’ Union, politicians, or bureaucrats.
We know from the origins of Gooferment Skrules that their purpose was cannon fodder for the Army, willing morons for the factories, and useful idiots to vote for and be led by the elite. So maybe this is a chance to turn the tide.

The older I get, the more I think, why? The only answer I can find is hate. Hate is the beginning of a disease, like cancer. It may kill your enemy, but it will destroy you in the process too.
So I hate no one, not even Hitler. I do not forgive him. If I forgive, I am a traitor to the six million who died. But I also live for them, and live the best life I can.
Life is not always happiness, there are many hard days. Don’t blame others for your misfortunes. Remember you are lucky to be alive. Every breath is a gift.
Life is beautiful if you let it be: please, every day, remember to be happy, and to make others happy, too.

Leaked Documents: Officials Are Hiding What Happened in Wuhan
Analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola October 16, 2021
STORY AT-A-GLANCE
- Newly leaked documents released by research group DRASTIC include a March 2018 grant proposal from the EcoHealth Alliance filed with the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
- The proposal aimed to collaborate with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) to “carry out advanced and dangerous human pathogenicity bat coronavirus research”
- According to DRASTIC, the proposal involved “injecting deadly chimeric bat coronaviruses collected by the Wuhan Institute of Virology into humanized and ‘batified’ mice”
- The proposal involved the introduction of human-specific cleavage sites to bat coronaviruses; the existence of a novel furin cleavage site is a significant reason why many believe SARS-CoV-2 was created through gain-of-function (GOF) research
- EcoHealth Alliance requested $14 million from DARPA for what it expected to be a 3.5-year project; DARPA rejected the proposal but that doesn’t mean the research wasn’t ultimately carried out
- The revelations further erode the credibility of Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has denied funding GOF research at WIV, and EcoHealth Alliance’s Peter Daszak, who called claims that SARS-CoV-2 may have come from a lab “conspiracy theory”

Yet another smoking gun has been found in the origin of COVID-19, courtesy of newly leaked documents released by research group DRASTIC, or Decentralized Radical Autonomous Search Team Investigating COVID-19.
The documents include a March 2018 grant proposal that EcoHealth Alliance filed with the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to collaborate with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) to “carry out advanced and dangerous human pathogenicity bat coronavirus research.”1
The proposal was reportedly rejected by DARPA for being too risky, but the revelations further erode the credibility of Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has denied funding gain-of-function (GOF) research at WIV,2 and EcoHealth Alliance’s Peter Daszak, who called claims that SARS-CoV-2 may have come from a lab “conspiracy theory.”3

I think there needs to be a grand jury investigation to this whole matter. Perhaps some crime has been committed.
If no crime; then for sure it’s a sin.
