LINKEDIN: How ungrateful can you be? LinkedIn sucks.

Vincent Wright has received a “trademark infringement” letter from LinkedIn.

Now that is hubris on the part of LinkedIn.

Vincent is the “godfather” of a ton of groups LinkedIn_XXXXX (i.e., power users, bloggers, moderators, plaxo, vets). And, has single handly been LinkedIn’s cheerleader.

This is not the first time that LinkedIn has bitten it’s users with its psycho change in policy. When they were first pandering for users, they wanted you to spread the word and link to everyone you knew. Then after a year or eighteen months, they wanted “exclusivity” so they, with zero notice, imposed the “five i don’t knows and you’re suspended” policy. Vincent single handedly calmed a revolt.

When they blew their service about groups, Vincent was a calming influence.

Eventually Vincent decided to deploy his considerable energy to more worthwhile pursuits. And, I don’t blame him.

Now, LinkedIn is worried about its trademark? They get my “that sucks” award. Trademark that!

(I’m waiting for my trademark letter as well for LinkedInJaspers.)

Guess they don’t think they need that buzz from all those local groups like LinkedIn_State, like my LinkedIn_NewJersey. Makes those folks, who decided to compete by going to LinkTo_NewYork, look like geniuses.

Well, if I was the VCs buying LinkedIn, I’d look at this tired old whore’s teeth. I’ll be deemphasizing LinkedIn.

  1. So this is how we found out that LinkedIn doesn’t know what they’re doing.

When we joined, we thought it’s for networking, right? Simple enough. After getting invitations from people we didn’t know and also inviting people we didn’t know, our accounts were placed on block! They actually “force” you to sign an agreement online to not send invitations to people you don’t know!

Excuse me? Is this a joke? The whole point of LinkedIn is to network and expand your network! How can you do that if you only contact the people you already know? What a bunch of morons. They don’t even know what their company is about.

If I just want to network with people I already know, then it’s not really networking, is it? I already have all the e-mails and phone numbers of the people I know, why does anyone need linkedin for people they already know?

LinkedIn really needs to figure out what they stand for, because as of now, they’re completely confused and they confuse their customers too. They want to stand for something, which is to allow people to network, yet they block almost everyone who contacts snobs who don’t want to accept invites.

Here’s a clue LinkedIn, perhaps you should have a better system of telling those snobs to set up their account in a way that only people who know their e-mail addresses can send them invites and “require it” for those people, instead of punishing customers who are actually there to network!

LinkedIn is a joke. It’s definitely not for networking. LinkedIn doesn’t know the meaning of networking. It’s another facebook. It only pretends to be for professionals.

Initially when we used to search for anytime we could exhaust all the search results but now there is a limit of viewing only 100 serach results.. suckers… they would one day go down… hell with them…

  3. It seems to me that Linkedin is deliberately trying to run itself into the ground.

No customer service response, no explanations before or after so-called upgrades, plus a systematic elimination of communication tools.

What is this, the Bush administration!!!!!!
