Opinion: Major Issues We’re Following in Catholic Education in 2016

9.  NLRB Exposing Catholic Identity Concerns

The number of Catholic colleges challenging the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) continues to grow. The problems with this trend are twofold: One, the NLRB is exercising unconstitutional government oversight in attempting to determine whether or not a college is sufficiently Catholic; and two, the test applied to the colleges is exposing major Catholic identity concerns. Colleges opposing NLRB rulings now include Carroll College, Duquesne University, Manhattan College, Saint Xavier University, Seattle University and Loyola University Chicago.

In the Newman Society’s amicus brief opposing the NLRB harassment, attorneys for Alliance Defending Freedom stated:

Religious organizations have the right of autonomy over their internal governance, the right to be treated the same as all other religious groups and denominations by the government, and the right to be free from government meddling and intrusion in their operations and beliefs.

*** end quote ***

First, they come for the Catholic Schools?

Remember Gooferment Skrules are deliberately creating cannon fodder for the Army, willing morons for the factories, and useful idiots to vote for and be led by the elite.

They promote and propagandize the greatest of the State who solves all problems. Worship the Earth because there can’t be any God. It might limit the State which is the current God of Man.

Argh!

Dumb.

But, how do we get “We, The Sheeple” to stop it?

imho, the thing will eventually collapse under its own weight.

Look at how much it costs. Look at how the Teacher’s Union protects it and Big Gooferment. Look at the terrible results it produces.

The minute that the Black minority realizes how they have been screwed by the Gooferment Skrules, then things will change.

Wise up people.

Factoid: The only President that send his child to a Gooferment Skrule was Jimmy Carter. Why doesn’t anyone else? Why should anyone else?

Argh!

POLITICAL: Tom Woods destroys the JFK mythology

In a forty five minute podcast, Tom Woods destroys the JFK mythology.

Especially in vogue today, is an assertion that the JFK assasination was partially due to his opposition to the FED.  Tom destroys that illusion.

Well worth a listen in my opinion.

Here’s a reason NOT to use an ISP for your email address.

Another is that you’re locked into that ISP for email.

Argh!

May I suggest that you have your own domain?

The common wisdom, or is that common whizdumb, is to own your own name as a domain name. I own “reinke.cc”. (I like saying “sea sea me at reinke.cc”! me@reinke.cc will actually work!) I gives one quite a bit of control.

And, it’s very cheap. I know three solutions at 15$/year using wordpressdotcom with gmail, 25$/year email only with 1and1, and 60$/year for domain+email+webspace also at 1and1.

My point is not that you should use 1and1. http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=9113251 I could care less which one you use. It’s that getting on to your own domain with email is cheap and easy.

And, it’s not hotmail, yahoo, AOL, or gmail. It IS your own “personal brand”.

LIBERTY: SIX DECADES of misery

The ever-growing number of Americans who are joining the liberty movement are not interested in “reforming” the welfare-warfare state. They also have no interest in “fixing” the Federal Reserve via “rules-based” monetary policy. Instead, this movement is dedicated to auditing, then ending, the Fed and stopping the government from trying to run the economy, run the world, and run our lives. If this movement refuses to compromise its principles, we may succeed in restoring a society of liberty, peace, and prosperity in our lifetimes.

*** end quote ***

In addressing the “welfare” part of the welfare-warfare state, it’s unfortunate that those of us that want to “end welfare as we know it” are portrayed as heartless unfeeling Ebenezer Scrooges.

In actuality, nothing could be further than the truth.

If you look on the Gooferment’s failed “war on poverty”, then you will see whole GENERATIONS lost to the despair of “welfare”. Politicians and bureaucrats — mostly D’s — and “community organizers” have developed a “poverty industry” that they siphon off of. Argh!

We have more than SIX DECADES of the current system, with no end in sight of misery.

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” — attributed to Einstein

So WHY can’t we try something different?

* Eliminate the minimum wage by phasing it out over 20 years. That would do wonders for black youth unemployment.

* Eliminate the “(pseudo) War on (some) Drugs” that sends so many poor people to prison, impoverishes them, and limits their employment opportunities. And BTW inflicts crime and violence on the poor disproportionately!

* Eliminate the handouts by phasing them out over 20 years. Reduce them 5% per year.

* Eliminate the various and sundry “regulations” on the States concerning “welfare”.

* Eliminate the Crony Capitalism “regulations” of “licensing” various things like hair braiding, Uber driving, and all sorts of other stupidity.

* Eliminate the tremendous “take” off the poor by the various forms of Gooferment lotteries.

Americans are very charitable. If the taxes are reduced by reducing the welfare burden, then true charity will spring up to help the truly needy with real help. I cite Homefront NJ as an example of what a real community can do. (And, from whom, I was taught that the “welfare bureaucracy” needs lots of “clients” to justify their continued existence.)

Argh!

Why can’t we have an experiment to see if this wouldn’t work so much better?

Gooferment politicians and bureaucrats, as well as all those that make fine living off the current system.

Argh! SQUARED.

SECURITY: Multiple questions are secondary passwords

Wednesday, January 6, 2016

Argh!

Why do I get frustrated when people insist on being insecure?

# – # – # – # – #

To our eService Customers:

On December 21, 2015, Washington Gas launched its new eService portal in an effort to improve the overall online customer experience. We have expanded the online self-service options, provided you with energy consumption information and month-to-month usage comparisons, as well access to billing and payment options, such as our Budget Billing and Auto-Pay programs.

Since the launch, we have experienced some technical issues, particularly related to log on and password reset. During log on, please be aware  that you may encounter delays as you are: 1) directed to the page where you are required to change your password; and 2) answer three brief security questions, both of which conform to sound security practices. We apologize for any delays you may experience during this process.

During the next few weeks, we will remain focused on identifying, addressing and resolving deficiencies in the new system. By the time you receive your next bill and log onto our system, we expect that your online experience on our new site will have improved significantly as we approach the level of service you expect and deserve.

Until we resolve all issues, please consider using your mobile device to access the eService site. Customers accessing the site in this way are experiencing faster site performance.

As a reminder, the following payment options are still available to you:

  • Call our automated payment line at 703-750-7944 to make a phone payment with a check or credit card.
  • Contact our customer service center at 703-750-1000 for assistance with a payment. Customer service hours are 8 AM to 9 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday. The center is closed on Sundays.

There are no transaction fees for payments made through these two alternative methods. Late fees will be waived for eService customer payments delayed by the implementation of the new portal.

Thank you for your patience and for being a valued Washington Gas customer. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience these technical issues may cause. Our continued goal is to provide the best possible online experience and we will continue to provide updates and share information on the www.washgas.comhome page in the coming weeks.

Ross Ulbricht, founder of the dark web marketplace, the Silk Road, was sentenced to life in prison in spite of the fact that he committed no violent crimes — though the FBI attempted to paint a false picture that he did, albeit without filing formal charges. The prosecution was rife with corruption and scandal; two FBI agents involved in the case were charged with stealing Bitcoin during the investigation. In July, one admitted to stealing $700,000 worth of the digital currency.

ECONOMICS: Cardboard and skyscrapers are pointing to a down economy

Tuesday, January 5, 2016

Will 2016 Be the End of the Current Skyscraper Boom?
By Mark Thornton Mises.org
January 2, 2016

*** begin quote ***

The important thing to remember is that skyscrapers do not cause economic crises. Rather they are just a very noticeable example of the distortions taking place throughout the economy when interest rates are kept artificially low by the central bank.

In addition to record breaking skyscrapers, there are many less perceptible changes taking place. Entrepreneurs are building bigger, longer term projects and production processes. Relative prices, i.e., interest, land, capital, and labor prices, are being distorted. Technology, nearly everywhere, is on the fast track. The economy is booming.

*** end quote ***

And like the recent fire and two reported elevator crushings, I’m not sure that I want to be in “skyscrapers”. Or anything more than two or three stories. Maybe I’m getting old and fearful.

A recent conversation with a garbage executive confirmed that the “cardboard index” had collapsed. Despite Amazon from single handedly dropping all manner of “stuff” wrapped in cardboard, the recycling prices paid for cardboard had collapsed. This is an indication of economic activity.

So, as the doom ’n’ gloomer in the peanut gallery, I’d urge financial caution and lower expectations.

The world has become a lot more dangerous and the US has become even more divided on personalities and issues.

So fellow turtles, pull in your neck and wait the storm out.

It’s gonna get ugly out there.

GUNS: BHO44 is playing politics on “gun violence”

It Only Took A Terror Attack For Obama’s DOJ To Prosecute A Straw Purchaser
Posted by Bob Owens on December 31, 2015 at 8:54 am

*** begin quote ***

It finally took a terrorist attack in San Bernardino to finally shame Barack Obama’s Department of Justice to do it’s job and prosecute a straw purchaser. Unfortunately, we can expect them to drop this charge, as they almost always do.

*** and ***

How bad is Obama’s DOJ when it comes to prosecuting gun crime seriously?

  • Violent criminal Curtessa Franklin was busted red-handed attempting to make several straw purchases in West Virginia while wanted on several warrants. She was let go by ATF within 14 hours.

  • Jalita Johnson straw-purchased a handgun for her boyfriend, violent convicted felon Marcus Wheeler. Wheeler then used that gun to shoot Omaha, Nebraska Police Officer Kerrie Orozoco, hours before she was scheduled to start maternity leave. Johnson’s sentence, 40 hours of community service and 180 days of house arrest for her role in killing a cop.

  • Dontray Mills straw-purchased 27 for known gang members, and faced 55 federal charges. He faced 550 years in prison and nearly $14 MILLION in fines. Obama’s DOJ gave him a plea deal that let him off with probation.
*** end quote ***

This demonstrates that it’s all posturing about “gun violence”.

If BHO44 was serious about the issue, he’d have the DoJ working OT on REAL gun crimes.

And, ATF probably got bonuses — remember Fast ’n’ Furious.

The Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy. And, so are the politicians and bureaucrats!

It’s all propaganda!

10 Incredible Survival Stories From The 19th Century
T. PIKUL  NOVEMBER 17, 2015

*** begin quote ***

#10 Sergeant James Landon

Camp Sumter, commonly known as Andersonville, was a military prison operated by the Confederacy during the US Civil War. Even by the low standards of prisons at the time, Andersonville was notoriously horrible. The prison was overcrowded, and prisoners were forced to sleep in the open in disgusting, unsanitary conditions. During the Civil War, 13,000 prisoners died in Andersonville. Following the war, Captain Henry Wirz, the camp’s commander, was tried and hanged for war crimes.

Sergeant James Landon, a Union soldier from Iowa, was one of the unlucky ones who ended up in Andersonville. During a skirmish, Landon was shot in the thigh. He pried the bullet out using his knife and ran on foot from Confederate forces for five days before being captured. He was then forced to march for another four days to Andersonville. As a wounded soldier entering Andersonville’s unsanitary conditions, Landon didn’t stand much of a chance.

Amazingly, Landon survived. He was held for six weeks at Andersonville before being transferred to another prison camp. He was released from there after two months, as the Confederacy was crumbling and could no longer afford to hold prisoners. Even more amazingly, Landon didn’t receive proper medical treatment until he arrived back in the North. He lived until age 83 and was reportedly healthy and athletic throughout his life.

*** end quote ***

Speechless.

Interesting that he operated on himself. All while E&E-ing for five days?

That would be some tale to hear about. As usual, the best part gets untold!

A Marine’s Convictions: After flawed military sex assault investigation, Naval Academy teacher fights to prove he’s innocent. But is he? – Washington Post
By John Woodrow Cox Published on March 10, 2016

I found this a compelling read.

One of the most quoted excerpts from Scottish poetry is derived from Canto VI, XVII: Oh, what a tangled web we weave. When first we practise to deceive! Felicia Hemans used two lines from Marmion as an epigraph for her poem of 1827, The Homes of England.

Wow, he really “stepped in it”, and the Post reporter dug his grave with the lies.

Reporter should get a Pullitzer.

As a computer security guru, I doubt the cellphone evidence. Chain of custody was non-existent. The NCIS should have seized all the evidence at time of investigation. It doesn’t say what Stadler’s specialty was but for a USNA graduate there had to be some computer courses there. Fabricating message might not be that hard.

But Thompson was less than 100% truthful so that makes it look bad for him.

What a mess.

Author W.C. Jameson says he has found evidence Earhart was on a secret spying mission authorized by Roosevelt when she crashed

On top of that, the search for the Electra was ‘illogical and botched’, suggesting the government may have known exactly where she was all along.

TINFOILHAT: Operation Northwoods is an example

https://www.theburningplatform.com/2015/12/18/on-conspiracy-theories/

ON CONSPIRACY THEORIES
Posted on 18th December 2015

*** begin quote ***

Operation Northwoods

In 1962 the Department of Defense acting in cooperation with the Joint Chiefs of Staff submitted a paper detailing covert operation by either the CIA or other Government operatives to commit acts of terrorism against innocent American civilians, specifically to either hijack US commercial aircraft, shoot down commercial aircraft, attacks and kill US soldiers at Guantanamo or an attack on the Organization of American States with the intent of blaming the actions on Cuba in order to destabilize or overturn the government. These plans were signed and submitted by a host of top ranking US Military officials including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lyman Lemnitzer and submitted to the Secretary of Defense, Robert McNamara who would later play a large role in the US war in Viet Nam.

None of the people involved in the research, planning, drafting or submission of this authorized government conspiracy was ever charged with a crime or held accountable. In fact the chief defense has always been that it was rejected by then President John F Kennedy, rendering further discussion null and void. Think about it for a moment and decide for yourself what the implications of such a plan mean for people who are, in the words of Cass Sunstein, spectacularly well informed, i.e conspiracy theorists. The government of the United States of America, using top secret clearance and taxpayer dollars actively plotted to murder innocent Americans in acts of terror in order to instigate a war on false grounds. To know this, according to the leading expert on conspiracy theories, makes us feel safer.

Incontrovertible proof that the government does in fact engage in criminal conspiracies that target innocent civilians in order to promote government sanctioned programs or military actions while it’s criminal participants escape justice has now been established as a fact, not a theory. Why this important piece of American history is unknown to most people is not puzzling, it is because it has been deliberately pushed off to the side, dismissed as irrelevant or pointless because it didn’t happen. Conspiracy theories do not require action, however, only the conspiracy.

*** end quote ***

Conspiracy Theorists are right to ask the questions.

Gooferment will NEVER voluntarily admit “the truth”.

Of course, all Conspiracy Theorists are just “crazy”. How could the benevolent Gooferment EVER do anything bad.

Should we start a list of what has been prover?

Just remember the Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy.

From there, one can believe a lot of things.

VETERANS: Women are too valuable to waste in the military

Tuesday, December 29, 2015

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2015/12/walter-e-block/women-military/

Women in the Military
By Walter E. Block
December 21, 2015

*** begin quote ***

There is another focus from which to view this new initiative of promoting female participation in the military other than the libertarian. This is the biological. Women are the limitation of population, and its growth. It is not for nothing that the farmer keeps 50 cows and one bull, rather than the reverse. If there were 50 bulls, 49 of them would be superfluous. If there were one cow, all the bulls in the world could not by one iota increase the size of the flock.  In other words, females, at the margin, are much more important for increasing the size of the human race. They are the precious limitation on population growth. Why is the latter to be preferred?  That is because in order to create another Mozart, or Mises, or Einstein, or Rothbard, or Salk, or Bach, or Gates, we need millions of new babies. The more of them the better. If we are ever to occupy the Moon and Mars and eventually colonize worlds in other solar systems, we shall need lots of human beings. But in order to accomplish this goal, women, not men, are required (always at the margin). Men are relatively speaking, good cannon fodder. Women are too important, again from this biological point of view, to be wasted in any such manner. In World War Two, the Russians and the Germans inflicted heavy blows on each other.  There were hardly any healthy men left standing afterwards of child-bearing age. Yet, after this conflagration, they were never missed, at least not in terms of population growth. Any woman who wanted to become pregnant, such is the human condition, had little or no difficulty achieving this goal. Imagine, instead, that this war had been fought only or mainly by females, with the males taking on the role of civilians (in those quaint times, non-combatants were less targeted than in the modern era). Then, there would have been hardly any healthy women left upright afterwards. What would have happened to the population in these two countries? To ask this is to answer it: there would have been virtually no new generation.

*** end quote ***

Bottom line: Bring all the girls and boys home now!

And, women are too valuable to waste in the military.

Barefoot and pregnant is NOT the message.

Keep them safe because without them there ain’t no human race.

If that makes me a “neanderthal”, then I guess I am.

Eagle Scout finds state park gunman’s remains in Utah cave 5 years later

Shumway, a 23-year-old Utah Valley University student, told The Associated Press than he and his 15-year-old brother had decided to spend two weeks over winter break searching for Arellano — a mission their police officer father helped with five years earlier. An outstanding $30,000 reward for Arellano was part of the draw, Shumway said.

“For a poor college student, that’s pretty appealing,” he said.

Shumway added that resolving the case was a big thing for the Moab community. “There’s lots of closure that would come with finding this guy because no one really knew if he was dead or alive,” he explained.

Shumway, an Eagle Scout who grew up exploring caves and canyons in the area, said he was confident he could find Arellano’s body after studying the case and discussing the search area with his father.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: While shooting Cecil was immoral; regulations are just dumb

Obama administration enacts protections for lions
Published December 21, 2015  Associated Press

*** begin quote ***

WASHINGTON –  The Obama administration says it’s extending Endangered Species Act protections to two breeds of African lions.

The listings will be announced Monday and include an order that appears to touch on circumstances surrounding the killing of a well-known lion named Cecil earlier this year.

*** end quote ***

Yeah, with all the problems that the USA has, this was important to do?

How does that improve the world?

Don’t get me wrong. I think shooting Cecil was immoral. If you’re going to go kill a lion to prove you’re a “man”, then do it like the Zulu “boys” have to do it — alone, with a short eighteen inch spear, and a small shield made of reeds. Then, you’re a man … … or lunch for the lion! Shooting the poor dumb thing — although lions are regarded amount the Zulu and Masai as cunning and smart — from 500 yards with a precision rifle is hardly an indication of manhood. I have read that these “hunters” don’t even carry their own rifles. Having humped awhile on practice hike in the military with a light scout rifle, toting a heaving big caliber hunting rifle around on a lion “hunt” would make for a early night.

Argh!

But back to BHO44 and the Gooferment. It’s just dumb and a waste of ink.

Sigh!

INSPIRATIONAL: Ebenezer Scrooge — an architect of capitalism

Dining With Scrooge
By Gary North
December 25, 2014

*** begin quote ***

Specialization of production in 1843 was slowly extending its reign through voluntary exchange, releasing mankind from the tyranny of the weather. Excepting only the famine of the 1840s in Ireland, which began while Dickens was writing his story, the West would not again experience a famine. That long-dreaded horse of the apocalypse was put out to pasture.

The driving force of this revolution was specialization — specialization funded by capital, itself the product of thrift, by double-entry bookkeeping, and by attention to detail. In short, it was men like Ebenezer Scrooge who were the architects of capitalism.

In a heartless environment marked by scarcity, there must be careful attention to details, to ledgers, to costs of production. There must be alertness to profit opportunities, which are found where consumers demand to be served — demand through competitive bidding, one against the other. In short, there must be attention to business.

*** end quote ***

Another reason why Scrooge should be an positive icon and someone to be admired!

POLITICAL: For all of The Donald’s flaws, he nailed the Middle East mess

America First — or World War III
By Patrick J. Buchanan
December 19, 2015

*** begin quote ***

Midway through the debate, Trump cut loose with a sweeping indictment of mindless American interventionism in the Middle East:

“We’ve spent $4 trillion trying to topple various people that, frankly, if they were there and if we could have spent that $4 trillion in the United States to fix our roads, our bridges, and all of the other problems — our airports and all the other problems we have — we would have been a lot better off. …

“We have done a tremendous disservice not only to the Middle East — we’ve done a tremendous disservice to humanity. The people that have been killed, the people that have been wiped away — and for what? It’s not like we had victory. It’s a mess. The Middle East is totally destabilized, a total and complete mess. I wish we had the 4 trillion dollars or 5 trillion dollars. I wish it were spent right here in the United States on schools, hospitals, roads, airports, and everything else that are all falling apart!”

*** end quote ***

For all of The Donald’s flaws, he nailed this one.

Other than Rand Paul, all the other candidates are like escapees from the insane asylum.

The politicians and bureaucrats have made a mess of the USA — in both foreign and domestic matters. When I rant that the Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient, as well as untrustworthy, I think I understate the objection.

But I don’t know how you put the evil back in Pandora’s box.

First step has to elect a President who will step back from all the wars and the saber rattling.

Otherwise, we could all be “crispy critters” if an accident happens.

I think I know a movie quote that sums it all up.

“This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we’ll be lucky to live through it.” — The Hunt for Red October (1990) by Admiral Josh Painter played by Fred Dalton Thompson.

GOLDBUG: Gooferment prevents us from making wise economic decisions

Wednesday, December 23, 2015

http://news.goldseek.com/GoldSeek/1450365360.php

A Free Market in Interest Rates

*** begin quote ***

Under gold, the saver always has a choice. If he likes the rate of interest, he can deposit his gold coin. If not, he can withdraw it. By withdrawing, he forces the bank to sell an asset. That in turn ticks down the price of the bond, which is the same as ticking up the rate of interest. His preference has real teeth, and that’s an essential corrective mechanism.

Unfortunately, the government removed gold from the monetary system. Now you can own it, but your choices have no effect on interest. If you buy gold, then you get out of the banking system. However, the seller takes your place, getting rid of his gold and thereby taking your place in the banking system. The dollars and gold merely swap owners, with no effect on interest rates.

The Fed has kicked savers to the curb, along with gold. Now the dollar is considered to be money. And what is it, exactly? The dollar is the Fed’s IOU. If you have dollars, then you are funding the Fed. You—along with billions of others around the globe—are empowering the Fed. It can lend at any rate it wishes, because it has a seemingly unlimited credit line. The Fed is lending your wealth to profligate borrowers who use it for nonproductive purposes—and that’s putting it mildly.

*** end quote ***

One of the essential truths that I’ve learned from the Austrian School of Economics is the concept of “malinvestment”. As I understand it, because there is no free market interest rate to evaluate the value of future purchases with, people make decisions that they would not have if they knew the actual correct market set rate of interest. This brings on the boom and bust cycle that we are all too familiar with.

Essentially the interest rate is set politically.

By the way, I am sure by complete accident, the very low interest rate makes it easy for the Gooferment to carry a large debt. Last estimate, I read was the current 18T+ national debt and the guesstimated 200T+ in unfunded liabilities is what our posterity will have to deal with!

Of course, this is unpayable.

So, the Gooferment will “default” on this debt by further inflating the money supply and rob all the holders of dollars of their purchasing power. Look at any of the charts of a dollar’s purchasing power and see it go to near zero. I’ve ranted about this before citing anecdotally my sainted Father-In-Law’s fifty dollar bill that he kept in his wallet (i.e., when he put it in it work house and feed his family for a month and when he died his daughters didn’t realize what had been lost), the three silver dimes for a gallon of gas in 1963 that could buy two gallons today (i.e., loss of purchasing power), and — my personal favorite — the Smithsonian exhibit of the French gold Franc over the time of the French Kings (i.e., from hockey puck to shirt button).

With a gold standard, there is a finite limit to the amount of credit available. And, like any scarce resource in a truly free market system, the invisible hand of that market will establish the time value of money. That will allocate credit to those people who will pay the most for it. Some people will have their projects funded; others not.

What we fail to understand is that these resource usage decisions are “the Great Calculator” that takes all our wants, needs, and desires as input and “rations stuff” to maximize satisfaction.

Too hard to understand?

Try it this way. If the cost of interest is more than you can afford, then you’ll change your wants.

Argh!

The Gooferment, by the mechanism of the The Federal Reserve Bank, — a misnomer. IT ain’t “federal”. It reserves nothing. And, it ain’t a “bank”. It is a private cartel of the elite banks run for their benefit and that of the entrenched politicians. — is robbing us of our wealth and the dikw (i.e., data, information, knowledge, wisdom) to make wise economic decisions.

Argh!

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: When does a “regulation” become a diktat?

Tailpipe exhaust emissions standards are just one example of real-world government demands that have become unreasonable – and which led VW to shrug.

Reasonable would be a requirement that 95 percent of a vehicle’s exhaust stream be free of noxious-to-health gasses. VW – and everyone else – met that standard about ten years ago.

It’s not enough.

It is never enough.

The demands always escalate.

Now 97 percent must be free of noxious-to-health gasses. And then 98 percent. When that bar is reached, they will insist upon zero emissions.

*** end quote ***

Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy.

And, here’s a great demonstration of it developing a regulatory agency with a life of it’s own with a mission to crush the evil Capitalist empire.

Seems like “We, The Sheeple” better reign this nonsense in while we can still buy an auto.

GUNS: Going into bear country unprepared; foolish

New Jersey Boy Scout leader fights off black bear with rock hammer

I can’t imagine anything more stupid than going out into the woods unprepared.

To me a scout “leader” should be prepared to defend his troop.

A nice 1911 45 on his hip would have been a LOT more effective than a rock hammer.

And, depending upon the ages of the scouts, they could be packing as well.

What would out pioneering fore fathers say?

Fools and wimps, maybe.

Glad everyone survived.

TINFOILHAT: Where are the THREE San Bernadino killers?

Eyewitnesses in San Bernardino: “Three Tall White Men”
By Gary North The Tea Party Economist
December 16, 2015

*** begin quote ***

The only eyewitness identifications that I can find speak of three white men.

I looked at several published timelines of the shootings. You can, too. Search for “timeline,” “Farook,” “San Bernardino.” No victim identified the two suspects immediately after the shootings, which had ended by the time the police and firefighters arrived at 11:05 a.m. The police had no clues regarding Farook and his wife. The two were shot in a firefight at 3 p.m. They were in a black SUV . . . four hours after the attack.

Four hours. What were they doing during this time? Where were they?

 *** and ***

The post-shootout photo of the SUV shows the windshield riddled with bullet holes. These bullet holes came from in front of the SUV. The media report says this: they fired 76 rounds, while police fired 380.

Who did the counting? When? Who verified this?

How did they shoot at police from inside the SUV? For how long? How long would it take to fire 76 rounds with semi-automatics? This time includes replacing empty clips. We are supposed to believe that it took 380 rounds to kill them. If so, these are not sharpshooters.

The two are dead. So, there is no legal liability for naming them the killers. There is no “alleged” visible in the media. This ends all discussion. Of course they acted alone. Everyone knows this.

*** end quote ***

And again, all I have are questions.

  • Where are the THREE white men?
  • How did the gunmen escape?
  • Where is the video from the crime scene? (I can’t believe that a Federal facility doesn’t have cameras all over the joint!)
  • How did they target this SUV?
  • Why wasn’t their apartment secured?
  •  Where are all the “official reports”?

I’m just asking.

Yet, I have a tin foil hat?

GOVERNACIDE: This was a revenge murder by the police

When “Rescuers” Become a Death Squad: The Killing of Michael Funk
By William Norman Grigg Pro Liberate Blog
December 16, 2015

*** begin quote ***

The only casualty of an hours-long SWAT raid and hostage situation in Neenah, Wisconsin on December 5 was Michael Funk, a disabled Vietnam veteran who was a party to a $50 million civil rights suit against the same department that killed him. Funk and three other plaintiffs filed that suit seeking compensation for harm they suffered in a SWAT raid at the same location three years earlier.

*** end quote ***

Very convenient.

Read the whole story and you’ll see that Gooferment is the problem.

I’m not sure how you can clean up this mess, but taking away the “military toys” would certainly be a first step.

Argh!
