RANT: PAYPAL cuts off NVIC because of their politics?
*** begin quote ***
On December 21st past the close of business hours, NVIC was notified that PayPal would no longer process donations made by our supporters effective immediately. In essence, PayPal wants to control your choices and tell you which non-profit charities you may and may not support. Pay Pal’s sudden and unexplained action against our donors comes in the middle of our annual end-of-year fund raising campaign.
*** end quote ***
I like PAYPAL BUT, (and there is always a BIG butt), I don’t think PAYPAL should not discriminate between charities based on politics or viewpoints.
If this policy is not reversed by 31 JAN 2022, then I will have to close my PAYPAL account.
If they can do it to NVIC, then they can do it to anyone. And, I can no longer patronize them.

Why Don’t People “Trust The Science?” Because Scientists Are Often Caught Lying

Authored by Brandon Smith via Alt-Market.us

There has been an unfortunate shift in Western educational practices in the past few decades away from what we used to call “critical thinking.” In fact, critical thinking was once a fundamental staple of US colleges and now it seems as though the concept doesn’t exist anymore; at least not in the way it used to. Instead, another brand of learning has arisen which promotes “right thinking”; a form of indoctrination which encourages and rewards a particular response from students that falls in line with ideology and not necessarily in line with reality.
*** and ***
Why don’t people trust the science and scientists anymore?
This is simple: Because many scientists have been caught lying and misrepresenting their data to fit the conclusions they want rather than the facts at hand. Science is often politicized to serve an agenda. This is not conspiracy theory, this is provable fact.

GUNS: A “community caretaking function” is no reason for a search
The Supreme Court today gave us a fantastic decision in a case where Gun Owners of America and its foundation (GOF) were involved!
*** begin quote ***
In Caniglia v. Strom, the Supreme Court today struck down an attempt by Rhode Island police to conduct warrantless searches for guns in a home using the so-called “community caretaking function.”
This made-up doctrine, which is a purported exception to the Fourth Amendment’s warrant requirement, permits police to engage in warrantless searches and seizures when they are carrying out any of their duties other than criminal law enforcement. For example, police may enter homes to help persons in need of emergency assistance, or may search a vehicle to recover the gun of an off-duty officer they had just arrested.
Erich Pratt, Senior Vice President of Gun Owners of America (GOA) and Gun Owners Foundation (GOF), stated:
“The Supreme Court today smacked down the hopes of gun grabbers across the nation. The Michael Bloombergs of the world would have loved to see the Supreme Court grant police the authority to confiscate firearms without a warrant. But the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the Fourth Amendment protections in the Bill of Rights protect gun owners from such invasions into their homes.”
According to GOA’s brief, after a husband and wife had an argument, the police entered their home without a warrant to search and seize the husband’s firearms based on the supposed “community caretaking” exception to the Fourth Amendment. The Rhode Island district court and the First Circuit plucked two words from a court-created doctrine in an effort to empower police to grab guns in homes whenever it seems to be a good idea.
Writing for a unanimous Court in a short opinion, Justice Thomas denied the application of the doctrine to justify the search, distinguishing between a rule that applied to an impounded car and “the right of a man to retreat into his own home and there be free from unreasonable governmental intrusion.”
Gun Owners of America and its foundation are continually bringing lawsuits across the country to defend firearm rights. GOA is unwavering in its defense of gun rights and remains the only “no compromise” gun lobby.
So GOA wishes to express its thanks to those members who assisted in this case

Boy, does Hunter Biden get a ton of breaks. The White House has basically given up on setting any ethical rules for the First Son, while the cultural elite rush to cover for his sleaze.
Last week, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki refused to commit to “basic transparency” about Hunter’s divestment from an investment fund owned by a Chinese-state entity during a White House Press Briefing. She also refused to admit his infamous laptop is authentic.
“The president’s son is not an employee of the federal government, so I’d point you to his representatives,” Psaki snarked after being asked about the China connection. She used the same lame excuse back in February: “He’s a private citizen — I would point you to him or his lawyers on the outside on any update.”
And never mind that President Joe Biden pledged last December that no family member would have a conflict of interest in his administration: “My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict with where there’s appropriate distance from the presidency and government,” he told CNN.

In the eyes of the International Olympic Committee, that’s good enough for her to play for Russia.

The Answer Is Obvious But We Still Need to Ask: Why Have No Corporate Media Journalists Covered the Biggest Story of the Year?
NOQ Report ^ | December 12, 2021 | JD Rucker

*** begin quote ***
I’m old enough to remember a time when a professional, college, or even high school athlete collapsing on the field would be major news. Depending on the name recognition of the athlete, stories would range from local to statewide to national. If it happened in other countries, their media would cover it thoroughly because even though athletes don’t make as much money abroad as they do in the United States, they are more often considered to be local heroes deserving of recognition.
Now, ask your nearest friend or family member how many athletes are known to have collapsed this year with cardiac arrests or other major ailments. We won’t even include standard sicknesses, just those that are potentially attributed to the Covid-19 vaccines such as myocarditis, blood clots, or neuropathy. Ask yourself the same question. In a normal year, we see anywhere from 30-70 such oddities among extremely healthy young athletes. How many have there been in 2021?
If you guessed anywhere under 300, you’d be wrong.
How many of these resulted in deaths? Similar to what I mentioned earlier, the death of an athlete due to heart attacks or other conditions not normally associated with young athletes always made the news in the past. There would be years when there were fewer than 10 reports that matched this criteria. In 2021, there have been 176 such deaths.

Want War? You Pay for It!
By: Mike Maharrey | Published on: Dec 12, 2021

James Madison warned us about the costs of war.
War comes with an extremely high price tag. According to the Cost of War Project by the Watson Institute at Brown University, the U.S. spent $2.26 trillion on the war in Afghanistan alone. That comes to over $300 million spent every single day over the span of two decades.
In 2018, the Watson Institute calculated that America’s “war on terror” had cost the equivalent of $23,000 per taxpayer.
But the average person has no sense of the cost of America’s neverending wars. That’s because the government primarily pays for its wars by borrowing money, effectively pushing the cost to future generations.
Imagine if every taxpayer had to write that $23,000 check.
We might reconsider perpetual war.
James Madison thought so.
*** and ***
Beyond this separation of powers, Madison wrote in his 1792 newspaper article that “each generation should be made to bear the burden of its own wars, instead of carrying them on, at the expence of other generations.” Furthermore, Madison proposed that “war taxes” should be levied in such a way as to make it clear what those dollars are paying for.
*** end quote ***
If we didn’t have “dishonest money” that can allow the politicians and bureaucrats to use the hidden tax of inflation to push the debt onto future generations, then we should have a war tax.
Take the all the Pentagon and three letter “war” agencies like the CIA, TSA, Homeland Security and divide it by the total taxpayers. RANT: “Ze” and “Sir” are attempts to redefine deviancy by those who are woke
Defiant Student Sues Catholic School Over ‘Contrived’ Demand For ‘Ze’
Bob Kellogg, Billy Davis, American Family News | Dec 4, 2021
*** begin quote ***
American Family News has pointed out in previous, related stories that this re-invented language has moved far beyond calling a male classmate “Andrea” instead of “Andy.” There are now “neo-pronouns” with made-up words “Ze” and “Zir” instead of “He” and “Her,” for example. According to the website myprouns.org, some fellow students and co-workers now demand the plural usage “they” instead of “her” or “him.” The reasons for “they” vary: Some students choose “they” instead of “him” or her” because they don’t want to be identified by a gender. Or people call someone “they” if unsure of a person’s preferred gender, because getting called the wrong gender can be harmful. Sometimes, however, “they” is used because a person wants their gender to be private, the website unhelpfully explains.
Regardless of why “they” is used, the student’s punishment at Exeter High is the latest example that these made-up language rules demand obedience and there is swift punishment for violating them.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed Nov. 4, the male student told the court he is defying the school’s policy and “will never refer to any individual personal pronouns such as ‘they,’ using contrived pronouns such as ‘ze,’ or with any similar terminology that reflects values which (the student) does not share.”
Reacting to lawsuit, radio host Todd Starnes asked his audience what happens if Exeter High students demand to be called “Turd Face” by other students, too. That crude description, he said, would be called ridiculous because that is not a real description for a person.
“Yeah,” Starnes concluded, “well there’s also no such thing as a pronoun named ‘Ze’ or ‘Zir’ but they still use them. They just made them up.”
On a more serious note, citing the lawsuit, Starnes said the student pointed out his own beliefs about male and female follow the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Goes back to my theory that, like a beehive, their can only be “one Queen bee”. Gooferment, by aiding and abetting, pedophilia in the Church sowed the seeds to “kill” a rival for the people’s adoration.

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: “Sound & fury, signifying pandering”
by DON BOUDREAUX on NOVEMBER 30, 2021
*** begin quote ***
This Government-R-Us theory is far too shaky to take seriously. So I offer an alternative answer to the question, “What is democratic government?”
My answer is: theater.
From the president down to midlevel staffers in Uncle Sam’s sprawling bureaucracies, each and every government official is acting.
Each senator is aware that he’ll be judged largely by the quality of the words he speaks publicly. Each House member knows that she is performing for an audience.
The president, of course, is less an executor of the legislature’s statutes than he is the starring attraction in the ongoing 24/7 tragicomedy known as “American Government.”
With exceptions too few to matter, the chief goal of each and every one of these officials is to convince the audience that he or she “cares” about us — that he or she feels our pain — that he or she routinely sacrifices for the good of America, possesses insights denied to less-exalted people and — if only the other party would stop being so blasted obstructionist — will perform wonderful feats that no one else can perform.
*** end quote ***
Remember that politicians and bureaucrats follow the three “rules” of politics.
Remember the three “laws” of political motivation: (1) reward your friends; (2) punish your enemies; and (3) feather your own nest.
Part of this “theater” is to continually show that they “care” about you and your problems.
It’s all an act. All “barbara streisand”. All bull <synonym for excrement>!
