Rush Limbaugh unloads on fleeing advertisers
‘You won’t get apologies from people like Bill Maher
by Joe Kovacs

*** begin quote ***

PALM BEACH, Fla. – Radio giant Rush Limbaugh offered a second apology to a Georgetown University graduate student today after calling her a “slut” and “prostitute” last week, saying he descended to the level of the left, and added he would replace the advertisers who have abandoned his show over the controversy.

“I became like the people we oppose. I ended up descending to their level,” Limbaugh said. “It’s important not to be like them, particularly in fighting them.”

So, since I’ve been watching this train wreck unfold, I found: (1) the gal is NOT a 23 year old with a legitimate gripe; (2) she’s actually a political type; (3) contraception is freely available from Target two blocks from the school for 9$/month; (4) Rush apologized (sort of); (5) President Obama stoked the fire; just like his MO with the “beer summit”; and (6)  she’s enjoying her 15 minutes of fame.

So, just like I wrote in support of Don Imus, I wrote CARBONITE in SUPPORT of Rush. And will write to the others.

I’m not a Rush fan. I have listened him. He’s too “conservative” and supports the “warfare state” while he rails against the “welfare state”. But, he may have been a little dumb too. He should have suspect that this was a trap. But he fell for it. I would have to, but than I’m just a blogger; not a “trained broadcast professional”.

I’m outraged by the media’s selective outrage. The way they treated Sarah Palin. And, the lack of uproar when the “liberal” democratic operatives disguised as media commentators talked about Monica Crowley, Laura Ingram, and Michelle Malkin is biased. Some of those comments were a lot worse!

In SUPORT of RUSH, I came to sign up another computer. But I found out that you’ve abandoned him. Take a look at the situation again. True, he went over the line, but she was a trap. She’s not what she claims to be, and it’s becoming OBVIOUS that this a Democratic dirty trick. When you go back to him, so to I will come back to you.

POLITICAL: Sarah hits a “home run” with her CPAC speech (video) (story)

Washington, D.C. — A few protesters mic-checked Sarah Palin’s keynote speech at CPAC today but didn’t last long. Nothing could touch Palin, who had the crowd on their feet for large portions of her speech.

The protesters in the back of the room yelled “Mic-check!” and were immediately greeted with a standing crowd — and Palin herself — chanting “USA, USA.” Security quickly whisked them out of the room.

“We just won — see how easy that is,” Palin said after they’d gone.

And at least in terms of reception, she did win today. Palin’s speech got the biggest reaction of any at CPAC — much more so than any of the presidential candidates. The audience gave her standing ovation after standing ovation and some even yelled “Run Sarah run!” — more telling of the GOP field’s inability to connect with voters than any poll.

An inspiring lady! I only agree with her on about ½ the issues, but I like her, her presentations, and her enthusiasm. And, I think she’s not a phony. Unlike the others, other than Ron Paul, who are “white men speaking with forked tongue.” Her writers really polished her message nicely with Rolling Thunder, Don’t Tread On Me, Red – White – and – Blue Americans, To Big To Bear Any More, and my favorite WTF “Win The Future” — “and, I’m the idiot”. About 35 inspiring minutes. Reminded me of RWR40 (Ronald Reagan).

RANT: Borrow from China to give it to the Muslim Brotherhood?

Humpty Obumpty and the Arab Spring
By Spengler
DC Insanity: Washington Borrows From China and Gives The Money To The Arabs

*** begin quote ***

(Editor’s Note: I keep giving you proof of the myriad ways that the global collapse will occur. It could come from within DC. But is just as likely to come from outside the USA as other nations implode. And don’t forget about the European Union. HALF of its member nations are already bankrupt. And OBama commits $20 Billion to Arabs…money that we are borrowing to “lend” to the Arab nations that are in trouble.)

I’ve been warning for months that Egypt, Syria, Tunisia and other Arab oil-importing countries face a total economic meltdown (see Food and failed Arab states, Feb 2, and The hunger to come in Egypt, May 10). Now the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has confirmed my warnings.

*** and ***

Whatever the Group of Eight actually had in mind, the proposed aid package for the misnomered Arab Spring has already become a punching bag for opposition budget-cutters. “Should we be borrowing money from China to turn around and give it to the Muslim Brotherhood?” Sarah Palin asked on May 27.

Maybe I’m being taken in by the “stupidity” of Sarah Palin, but this make as much sense as BHO44 stopping Gulf drilling and giving 2B$ to Brazil to drill in the Gulf.

Time for “We, The Sheeple” to speak up!

DisHonors Awards Held Thursday

And the winner is:

# “I’m not that convinced that that’s her baby….The daughter — who we know is fertile because she’s knocked up again, or maybe for the first time…she did like take a five-month leave from high school because she had [uses fingers to indicate quote marks] ‘mononucleosis’ right around the time the baby was being born. And the mother, the so-called, you know, okay, maybe it is the mother, but, you know, she was back to work three days later. You don’t smell something?…It’s not like they’re not willing to lie about everything else.” — HBO’s Bill Maher on Real Time, September 5, 2008 promoting the left-wing conspiracy theory that Sarah Palin’s infant son is actually her daughter Bristol’s baby.

POLITICAL: Rush points out that Powell is an “inside the beltway” person

Rush Responds to General Powell

December 15, 2008

*** begin quote ***

The Democrats and the liberals always have, and I guess McCain and Colin Powell are showing their true colors. Here is Colin Powell telling the Republican Party what to do after he voted for Obama! I know what really has Colin Powell upset, it’s because I said his endorsement of Obama was about race, and I’m not supposed to say those things. These things are supposed to go unsaid. The Republican Party nominated Powell’s perfect candidate. The guy’s going after moderates, independents, Democrats, a guy who is not conservative at all, McCain, didn’t stand up for much conservative, and he’s out there now saying he won’t support Palin if she seeks the presidency again, or he might not.

*** and ***

What’s going on here with this Colin Powell thing is that the Washington establishment — Powell’s not a Republican. McCain’s not a Republican. These guys are not even mavericks. They are Washingtonians. Washingtonians have their own culture and their own desires, and it is to matter. They don’t care who’s in power, they just want to be closely associated with whoever is. That’s the name of the game and they want press adulation. They want to be loved and adored by the media, they want fawning treatment, they want to be thought of as something special, unique, dignified and so forth, and that’s the Washington establishment. These guys are Washingtonians. And what is a Washingtonian? Who are these people? Ladies and gentlemen, they have driven this economy into the toilet. Washingtonians are tone deaf in terms of how you and I actually live and the things that matter and are important to us. Washingtonians are grabbing as much power for themselves right now as possible. Washington does not live in the rest of the country, does not live in the same world we do. What they’re doing now is looking for ways to silence opposition. They don’t care about the timid ineffective opposition. They like Republicans and conservatives who are ashamed of their views and their fellow citizens. What they want to do is silence people like me because they can’t abide debate or opposition or challenges to their status and their authority.

*** end quote ***

I only listen to Rush from time to time. I’ve heard him urge Bush to stand tall and be the fiscal conservative. Bush spent like there was no tomorrow.

Bush’s legacy is the TSA. An army of gooferment employees and voter for the Democratic party. When does the TSA go away? NEVER! We should be taking a lesson from El Al. The airlines should be COMPLETELY responsible for security. As they should have been all along.

Arm the pilots. A cheap and easy solution. Arm the people. The policy of “victim disarmament” kills us.

Simple direct “solutions”.

Drug gangs fighting over turf like during Prohibition? End the drug war.

Prison overcrowding? Pardon all non-violent drug offenders.

Drug addiction? It’s a medical problem, treat it that way.

Bailouts? Chapter 11! Or, 7!!

Immigration? End welfare. (We want to take the plastic bag off the Statue of Liberty. Bring us all the refuse of the world willing to work hard in America. The land of OPPORTUNITY; not welfare. We have fat poor people to quote one bright observant fellow.

Runaway federal spending? Cut the federal budget 10% every year.

Lifetime politicians? Stop paying them. Stop pensions for them. Stop free healthcare for them.

On and on, there are simple solutions that increase our liberty.

The Washington politicians haven’t been listening to ANYONE. Let alone Rush.

A plague on all their houses!

POLITICAL: Why Sarah Palin matters? Money!

From The Times
September 5, 2008
Sarah Palin: it’s go west, towards the future of conservatism
Her thrilling convention speech showed that the Governor of Alaska is a force to reckoned with. But she might be more than that
Gerard Baker

*** begin quote ***

First of all she offers an opportunity for an ailing Republican party to reconnect with ordinary Americans. She’s conservative, but her conservatism is not that of the intolerant, uncomprehending white male sort that has so hurt the party in recent years. She is much closer to a model of the lives of ordinary Americans – working mother, plainspoken everywoman juggling home and office – than any Republican leader in memory.

*** end quote ***

I correctly forecast her selection. As first among three women back on March 3rd, I hedged my bet. The R’s just HAD to pick a woman.

BUTT, and there is always a big but!

I missed an even bigger thing that she brought to the ticket, fund raising power!

The root of all evil is the mother’s milk of any political campaign!

POLITICS: What Sarah P does to the election, IMHO!

I have no like for either set of candidates. Force is force. Whether its the R’s tell in me what to do or the D’s telling me what to do, I still object to getting told what to do.

That being said, I think the media is missing the real wild card that Sarah P is.

In the USA, half the people don’t vote. Don’t blame them because voting doesn’t change squat.

Half of that no-voting half are women. If Sarah can bring out 5% of that 25% of self disenfranchised women. The election is OVER!

Of the voting half of the USA, it usually breaks 25% D, 16%R, and 9% swing.

Remember the Hilary inspired backlash? It is a concern that may be as much as 4%. The media keeps saying of that 4% “where are they going to go”. They don’t have to go anywhere. They just don’t have to NOT come out to vote.

Soooo, it could be a razor thin election.

That’s what SarahP does to the election!

Of course, I can root for every one to lose.
