THE BIGGEST HUSTLE IN HUMAN HISTORY

*** begin quote ***

Obama applied for a position as an adjunct and wasn’t even considered. A few weeks later the law school got a phone call from the Board of Trustees telling them to find him an office, put him on the payroll, and give him a class to teach. The Board told him he didn’t have to be a member of the faculty, but they needed to give him a temporary position. He was never a professor and was hardly an adjunct.

The other professors hated him because he was lazy, unqualified, never attended any of the faculty meetings, and it was clear that the position was nothing more than a political stepping stool. According to my professor friend, he had the lowest intellectual capacity in the building. He also doubted whether he was legitimately an editor on the Harvard Law Review, because if he was, he would be the first and only editor of an Ivy League law review to never be published while in school (publication is or was a requirement).

So who on the BoT made that call and who pressured them?

Enquiring minds want to know!

If you just have to eat yogurt, choose plain, or you guessed it — read the label. Here’s an easy rule to go by: Don’t eat any ingredients that your grandmother wouldn’t have heard of!

*** end quote ***

That’s easy enough for a fat old white guy injineer.

Neither my maternal grandmother, and surely my paternal grandmother, ever used “strange foods”.

Laff!

The pilot really missed the glide path.

Don’t know enough to make any comment.

Seems that all systems and people failed.

Was any one watching from the tower?

Why was the rescue response so slow?

FUN: After action report @tswift13 concert

Monday, July 15, 2013

Dear Ms. Swift (@tswift13):

Re: 13 July 2013 MetLife appearance

You are missing a large sales opportunity. Clearly, from the extremely long lines at your merchandise sales booth, you are missing a LARGE volume of sales. May I suggest that some one on your staff immediately look into these lost opportunities. While many swiftees will seek your merchandise online, some percentage of sales are lost forever. As well as the bad image!

Since I know you bring your own displays, you should consider your own vending machines to augment the process or at the very least include in a venue contract a maximum line length.

I am, of course, will to consult on this matter with you at no cost to you at you convenience.

To the Met Life operators:

Good job reassigning most mens rooms to the ladies. Mond putting up some temporary signs direct us men to the few you have.

Bad job on the parking lot and traffic control. With all the engineering schools in the area, I can believe that exit traffic, and to some extent entering, is a disaster. I’ve been to many large venues that with bigger crowds empty faster. Last night, I saw an ambulance and trailing EMT truck stuck in the traffic with lights and sirens.  In addition, I’m astonish there wasn’t injuries mixing pedestrians and cars. I know I could do a better design job and I’m not that type of engineer.

RANT: Jury got it right

George Zimmerman found not guilty of murder in Trayvon Martin’s death

In this case, from what I have seen, the Jury got it right.

I think the Prosecution lived up to the expectations of Gooferment bureaucrats.

If I was the Judge, I would sight the Prosecution for malpractice (about the disclosure) and incompetence (overcharging and using the GZ interviews).

If I was the Governor, I would take the Judge aside and suggest another line of work.

If I was GZ, I’d move and change my name.

If I was MSNBC I’d switch to be an all comedy network; they are a joke.

GOLDBUG: Ugly chickens

Why Gold Will Make a Comeback

*** begin quote ***

You might be tempted to think that the global economy is recovering, the dollar strengthening and gold will finally sink into obscurity. Think again.

Central bankers like Ben S. Bernanke may tell you that banks hold gold bullion only for sake of “tradition,” but gold traders know otherwise — gold is real money, and despite what bankers, economists and mainstream investors have been saying, their actions show they are terrified of a coming currency crisis.

This Daily Reckoning video will show you exactly what is going on under the radar at some of the world’s biggest central banks, and how it is destined to affect gold prices.

*** end quote ***

There are some very very ugly chickens coming home to roost.

All the “dollars” that the Federal Reserve has created out of thin air are sitting in the Big Banks. Just cause they are not “circulating” doesn’t mean that we are off the hook.

The Gooferment must inflate to “pay off” their unsustainable debt, unfunded liabilities, and spending.

So what are us “little people” supposed to do?

Prepare for hard times. Save and invest in things that preserve your “wealth” when the situation winds down.

Learn a real skill, economize, pay down “bad debt”, buy productive land, bullets, beans, band aids, commodities.

Gold, silver, and nickels.

Anything to preserve value.

FUN: @tswift13 will keep me out late tonight #tswift #tswift13

Saturday, July 13, 2013

Yes, I finally have a life.

My ex-neice-in-law gave me Taylor Swift concert tickets for tonight’s show.

I’ll be the fat old white guy injineer singing along with all the teeny, tweeny, and teen girls.

Laff!

(Have to stay young someway. And, @tswift13 is excellent role model in a “Secular Progressive” society.)

So, I’m out for fun.

Last time I went to show like this was back in the folk singing 60’s. Although I did see one of PPM’s last shows at George Mason University. (Mary Travers, RIP)

I think Tay is this generation’s folk singer and poetess laureate. And, a very charitable person.

Interesting to me is how she has transitioned from strictly country to country / pop / teen. While growning to womanhood. Sort of like Shirley Temple Black. Wonder if she can reinvent like Madona does; without the sleaze.

Any way.

Maybe I’ll get an autograph. Laff. If for some reason I get a gold wrist band, I’ll pass it to one of the youngsters. What would I say to her? “Good job”!

RANT: Is the Zimmerman judge fair?

Friday, July 12, 2013

Sorry, while I haven’t been in the courtroom, I do think that the Procesution has proved reasonable doubt. I’m no lawyer, but it seems there is SUBSTANTIAL room for appeal.

What swings it for me is that Z had no duty to NOT follow what he perceived as a suspect.

And, clearly he was getting his butt kicked.

The left wing media with the pictures has prejudiced the jury pool.

I have no idea if he’s “guilty”; I do think that he has to be judged “not guilty”!

Sorry for all involved.

RANT: Bloomberg: The Most Dangerous Man in America

Mayor Michael Bloomberg: The Most Dangerous Man in America
By Jeff Knox on July 9, 2013

*** begin quote ***

Bloomberg has decided that his destiny is to lead our nation out of the burden of individual liberty and personal responsibility, and into the peace of conformity, subjugation, and dependency.  Through his disingenuously named organization, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, or MAIG, he has launched a personal crusade against America’s gun owners.  In just the past few months, Bloomberg has spent several millions of his own money, along with millions of other people’s money, to advance his ill-conceived notion of civilian disarmament.

*** end quote ***

Bloomberg is absurd!
