Minnesota Fraud Scheme

Nearly 50 people in Minnesota have been charged with laundering an estimated $250M in pandemic relief aid, which was intended to provide meals to children from lower-income families. The case is the largest fraud scheme to take advantage of federal pandemic programs, the US Justice Department said yesterday.

Prosecutors claim 47 individuals tied to Minnesota-based nonprofit Feeding Our Future falsely reported serving tens of thousands of meals to children across 250 sites and sought reimbursement for the cost of those meals from the Department of Agriculture’s Federal Child Nutrition Program. The individuals then allegedly laundered the funds through shell companies to buy luxury cars, property, jewelry, and other personal items. They have been charged with conspiracy, wire fraud, money laundering, and bribery (see details).

To date, more than $8B in suspected pandemic fraud has been found, including in more than 1,500 criminal cases.

I remember how DJT45 was mocked for recommending Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin early in the pandemic.  Was it the Deep State’s plan to lock down the population, take away rights, and kill us with a non-vaccine “vaccine”?  And, of course, Big Pharma was more that happy to take “free money” and I’m sure that some of it wound up bak in the pockets of the politicians and bureaucrats.

I remember how India gave away a “mystery packet of pills” to combat Covid, but we were never told what was in that packet.

I remember Sweden not locking down and surviving quite nicely.  The same can’t be said for Israel.

A topic for another day is was covid a bio-weapon and was it deliberately released?

In Scotland there’s a woman who can smell changes in body odor corresponding to the presence or onset of Parkinson’s disease.

Keeping with Scotland’s decorated history of medical discoveries, this “curse and a benefit” is now being used to develop a fast test for Parkinson’s that involves simply scraping a cotton ball over the back of the neck for examination.

More than 40 years ago, Joy Milne noticed an abrupt change in the natural odor of her husband, Les, when he was 33-years-old.

She knew herself to have a supersensitive nose, someone who couldn’t go into the cleaning section of a supermarket, but 12 years later, Les was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in an already progressive state, and it got her thinking it was the cause.

In 2012, Les, a former-doctor, went to find someone who could investigate further the connection between scent and Parkinson’s alongside Joy.

That initial inquiry led them to a professor at the University of Edinburgh who formed a team to put Joy’s sense of smell to the test.

Pipe bombs were planted on the night of January 5, at the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Democratic National Committee (DNC), according to the FBI.

Or were they?

As evidence this occurred, the FBI released surveillance videos showing a suspect, a man wearing a hoodie, carrying a backpack, walking by the RNC bomb site and sitting on a bench next to the DNC, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. the night of January 5.

The pipe bombs had 60-minute kitchen timers, which means had they been armed and viable they would have detonated before 9:30 p.m. on January 5. But they didn’t. Both could have been duds. Or they could have been constructed for other purposes.

Here’s what we know. The first bomb was discovered on January 6 by Karlin Younger, who lives next to the RNC, which lies a couple blocks from the Capitol. After placing a load of laundry in a dryer, she exited the back of her building and, while making her way to the front, she saw what she believed might be a pipe bomb at 12:40 p.m.

Excellent and very important points. At the very least there have to be more checks placed on power, at all levels. Term limits are essential, but is just one of many, many things that have to change.

As an incomplete but initial list I would place:

1. Strict irreversible term limits, with a cap on the total number of cumulative years in all offices combined (NO CAREER POLITICIANS, EVER). This should include heads of agencies etc., (e.g. no Anthony Fauci type careers).

2. Each and every agency has to have hiring done by a revolving citizens committee and cannot do their own hiring, ever. It’s an essential step to prevent a deep state bureaucracy.

3. No guaranteed government pensions. Every government employee should be on a 401K type plan like the rest of us.

4. All government salaries, at all levels should be determined by a public vote.

5. No city or region in the nation can have more than 2 government agencies, and the locations of those agencies should reflect the regional diversity of the nation.

6. Absolutely no insider trading of any type. Those holding federal office cannot hold or trade securities (etc.) unless done within a private trust that they have no input into or intimate knowledge of.

7. Voting must be done in person, except for the military, with at least 2 official forms of identification. Knowingly participating in fraudulent voting at any level is an automatic unappealable year in prison, at minimum.

These are just an initial list. There are many, many more things that have to be addressed and codified. In general, being in public office should have very, very few perks, and the fundamental principle that all in public office are employees who serve at the pleasure of the citizens needs to be front row and center and in the face of anyone who wants to pursue public office at any level. The stature of politicians should be no more than anyone else in society.

“I am not a violent person, I don’t own weapons, I don’t have a gun in the house,” she said. “So for me to even make a comment saying, ‘I feel like I need to carry something,’ it’s intimidating. Like, we shouldn’t have that feeling.”

Like Robinson, running has made me feel invincible at times. Strong, healthy, fearless. But one leer, one sexual comment, a threatening lunge, can take that away in a split second.

No one should have to feel like this. No one should be attacked on a run. No one should forget Eliza Fletcher and the run she couldn’t finish.

Sorry but it is a cruel hard dangerous world out there. In the wild, there are predators and prey.  Large and small.  And, for as much as the “civilized world” would like to ignore that simple fact of life, it’s inevitable.  

Everyone has the RIGHT OF SELF-DEFENSE!  No matter what politicians and bureaucrats say, legislate, or enforce, EVERYONE must be prepared to defend themselves from the crazies, the lunatics, and the feral humans.  Not to forget the animal kingdom’s less threats — bear, cats, and dogs. 

At the very least, every recreational runner should have a shark knife, pepper spray, and a suitable handgun.  Think of it as added “training weights”!

Then, the situation awareness to identify threats and, as necessary, eliminate them.
