Civil forfeiture has been effectively eliminated in only North Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico and Maine, according to the Institute for Justice. But dozens of other states have tried reforming their laws. Some have elevated the standard for burden of proof that law enforcement has to have to seize property. Others have improved the transparency of their procedures, Rulli said.

A federal loophole makes it easier for law enforcement agencies across the country to evade state reforms. The federal government isn’t beholden to state laws, Rulli said, so law enforcement agencies can call federal authorities in, which will seize property and split the profits with the local agencies.

Disney is trying to have a widower’s wrongful death lawsuit dismissed and sent to arbitration because the man had signed up for a Disney+ account several years ago.

Jeffrey J. Piccolo sued Disney Parks and Resorts in February, months after his wife, Dr. Kanokporn Tangsuan, died after she consumed food containing allergens at a restaurant in Disney World.

Piccolo said in his complaint that he, his wife and his mother went to dinner at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at the resort in Orlando, Florida, on Oct. 5. They asked several times whether Tangsuan’s allergies could be accommodated, according to the complaint. Despite the server’s having assured them, Tangsuan had a severe allergic reaction and died at a local hospital, the complaint said.

“Let’s kill all the lawyers” is a line from William Shakespeare’s Henry VI, Part 2, Act IV, Scene 2. The full quote is: “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers”. It is among Shakespeare’s most famous lines. 

First, the suit is only for 50k.  If I was on the jury, I’d question the number of zeros.  Some one made a clerical error. She’s a doctor.

Second, the Disney lawyer is trying to use an obscure factoid to absolve the restaurant of liability.

Third, the couple, knowing that she was at risk, should have been more careful.  To the point, eating out should not be a “game” of Russian roulette.  A substantive penalty should alert all restaurant operators to the risk; their insurance companies should price the risk accordingly,

Show me the women and men who are doing heroic or admirable feats of humanity.  Like the lady who planted a barren field with a humongous number of trees.  Or the young boy who build a windmill to irrigate the family plow and save them from starvation.  Or the man who prevent several hundred suicides by being on watch.

That’s news that is newsworthy.

Good headline but text “Russian missile barrage” was bad. Could it have been a false flag? Remember Ukraine shot a missile into Poland and blamed Russia. The timing is too convenient and the Russians have been extremely careful about what they hit and very circumspect about firing back.

I’d say the facts are not yet fully known to assign blame.

Missiles Strike Ukraine

At least 36 civilians were killed and more than 100 wounded across Ukraine after a Russian missile barrage hit multiple targets yesterday, including the country’s largest children’s hospital in the capital of Kyiv. The daytime attack is considered the heaviest single-day bombardment in the last four months of the Russia-Ukraine war, which is now in its 29th month (see updates). 

Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 30 of the 38 missiles, with officials saying the weapons consisted of aerial, ballistic, and cruise missiles (see the difference). At least 50 civilian buildings were damaged across central and eastern Ukraine by Russia’s airstrikes. The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting today to address the strikes.

Russia’s latest attack comes as Western leaders will meet in Washington, DC, today to kick off a three-day NATO summit. The agenda includes discussions over Ukraine’s potential membership in the military alliance and a new support package.

This is a ten on both the hypocrisy and propaganda scales. Check it for yourself. Do an internet search on the following — “Ukraine strikes Sevastopol.” Only cursory coverage. No blaring headlines in the NY Times or Financial Times or any other major paper. Ignore it. But this? Intense coverage.

Only one problem with the story — it is BULLSHIT. The children’s hospital was hit by an errant air defense missile fired by Ukraine. Whoops! What is really telling is that there was ZERO news coverage of the other sites hit by Russian missiles in Kiev. You know why? Because they were military targets and there were probably Western casualties. Russia delivered this blow in daylight during working hours in order to inflict maximum casualties on those engaged in producing or repairing weapons.

Ukrainian authorities also lied about the number of Russian missiles shot down. The Ukie Air Force claimed it downed 30 of 38 Russian missiles. Check out the following videos. You can see at least five successful Russian missile strikes in Kiev, including some secondary explosions, which normally are associated with a weapons storage facility. This is far from uncommon.  In this day of technology, we were better off when the airlines did manual seat assignment with peel off stickers.  Yes, I am that old.  When you should up to the gate, you got your sticker assigning the seat.  When they ran out of stickers, you were out of luck.  Never heard of any problems.

  •     58,209 resided in an apartment or in a mobile home lot but had no unit number as required on their voter registration application to ensure proper delivery of mail, including mail-in ballot material.
  •     4,143 were older than the oldest person in the U.S. at the time or were too young to legally register.
  •     6,348 had a date of birth that was different in 2022 than it was in 2020.
  •     253,486 voters supposedly registered on January 1st, 84,221 voters registered on another Federal holiday and 201,693 voters registered on Sunday — all times when Ohio boards of elections and state offices are closed.
  •     120,094 had registration dates in the 2022 state voter file that were earlier than their registration date in the 2020 file. 59,025 people were listed as registering to vote before they were born.
  •     243,583 had state identification numbers that had changed since 2020, even though federal laws require each voter be issued “a unique state identifier.” 34,233 had 2 to 5 registration records with different state identification numbers, making it possible for them to vote more than once.

Fleischman noted that when a Georgia judge was found having sex with a public defender outside the courthouse, the courts found that this sexual contact required new trials for the accused.

“Just as here, the guilt or innocence of those accused was irrelevant. The conflict of interest required a new trial,” he wrote.

He predicted that Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee in February would likely disqualify Willis and her entire office, which would make it difficult to try Trump before the 2024 election.

Impeach the Fulton County District Attorney and purge the whole office of the whole staff.  Lawyers should be referred to the Bar Association ethics committee.  Their fitness is at issue.  And, the Taxpayers are stuck for a lot money.  Who reimburses them?  And, all the confusion they have caused.  Can’t believe that this wasn’t  a well known office gossip topic.

Where is the Gooferment protecting US citizens?

I remember a story about some Bulgarians digging a Soviet attache.  The KGB killed them and their families.  Then, Russians were immune to Bulgarian violence.

The US Congress has the power of “Marque and Reprisal”.  Just designate some one, post a reward, and give them US sovereign immunity from prosecution.  

Like the old cowboy western show, “Wanted: Dead or Alive”.

Time to protect “our” people.  

Make Hamas start check passports.

Gooferment Skrules are training grounds for prisons.

This was a clear example of: black on white MURDER; black gangs in the school; and media bias.

While I’m not sure I want hangings, clearly this requires punishment to communicate that it’s not tolerated.

All 15 should be treated as adults.  With long prison time.

And, this can’t be an isolated incident.  The school must be shutdown and the staff dismissed.

Argh!

Gooferment Skrules are the root of the problem.
