The Reason for Ron Paul’s Suspension from Facebook Is Revealed, and It’s Frightening

Thursday, January 14, 2021

Those who continue to argue that the social media companies are purely private ventures acting independent of US government interests are ignoring reality. The corporatist merger of “private” US social media companies with US government foreign policy goals has a long history and is deeply steeped in the hyper-interventionism of the Obama/Biden era. “Big Tech” long ago partnered with the Obama/Biden/Clinton State Department to lend their tools to US “soft power” goals overseas. Whether it was ongoing regime change attempts against Iran, the 2009 coup in Honduras, the disastrous US-led coup in Ukraine, “Arab Spring,” the destruction of Syria and Libya, and so many more, the big US tech firms were happy to partner up with the State Department and US intelligence to provide the tools to empower those the US wanted to seize power and to silence those out of favor. In short, US government elites have been partnering with “Big Tech” overseas for years to decide who has the right to speak and who must be silenced. What has changed now is that this deployment of “soft power” in the service of Washington’s hard power has come home to roost.

INTERESTING: Do your own demonstration

Think masks are a good policy?

I was standing outside the daycare the other morning. It was cold. I was wearing my mask as they require. Standing close to the door to let them know we were there, I notice the door fogging up from my breath.

So if Covid spreads by your breath’s droplets, then masks don’t stop anything.

As @tomwoods says, masks are a religion.

TINFOILHAT: Evidence Mounts of a Capitol Hill False Flag – LewRockwell

Tuesday, January 12, 2021

Wednesday night Capitol Hill violence was likely orchestrated to elevate Biden/Harris to power by ending the Trump-led GOP challenge. It had earmarks of a well-planned false flag by US dark forces. It appears that hostile-to-Trump elements infiltrated largely nonviolent Trump protesters. They got access to Capitol Hill after police and federal law enforcers opened barricades surrounding it, letting them storm the building to commit violence.  Wrongfully blaming Trump for what happened got him to pledge a smooth transition to Biden/Harris on January 20 — ending his hope for a second term. It also intimidated most Republicans to go along with what came off with military precision by a superior force against an easily overwhelmed weak one. Inside Capitol Hill, guards led hostile-to-Trump elements to designated areas. Instead of preventing violence, Capitol Hill security facilitated it in what appears to have been the climax to a homeland color revolution to end Trump’s election challenge by violently quashing it.

Was the incident in DC a false flag?

Certainly possible.

Snakes climb poles using terrifying, newly found ‘lasso’ technique – CNET

Tuesday, January 12, 2021

“Initially, the baffle did work, for the most part,”  Tom Seibert, a Colorado State University emeritus wildlife biology professor, said in a statement. “Then all of a sudden, we saw this snake form what looked like a lasso around the cylinder and wiggle its body up. We watched that part of the video about 15 times. It was a shocker. Nothing I’d ever seen compares to it.”

NY Post: Big Tech’s assault on Parler proves it’s gone full cartel

Monday, January 11, 2021

History shows that cartels do not survive without protection from governments. (From The New York Post) This is looking more like a cabal supporting each other — at the least, uniting to enforce a common political orthodoxy. A similar argument goes: If you don’t like how Facebook or Twitter enforces its rules, go build your own alternative.

SECURITY: ESS voting machine company sends threats

Monday, January 11, 2021

Well, let me explain it for you. The ExpressVote XL, if hacked, can add, delete, or change votes on individual ballots — and no voting machine is immune from hacking. That’s why optical-scan voting machines are the way to go, because they can’t change what’s printed on the ballot. And let me explain some more: The ExpressVote XL, if adopted, will deteriorate our security and our ability to have confidence in our elections, and indeed it is a bad voting machine. And expensive, too!

Seems very simple to me that we need more checks and balances. It’s not a “Conspiracy Theory”, but a realization that the “methods & procedures” REQUIRE one system to mark and different system to count.

Argh!

(IMHO both parties want an insecure system so they can cheat.)

Negative consequences of this unchecked spending

Sunday, January 10, 2021

(Don Boudreaux) Tweet George Will rightly condemns Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz for playing leading roles in unleashing Wednesday’s mob on Capitol Hill . A slice: The Trump-Hawley-Cruz insurrection against constitutional government will be an indelible stain on the nation.

My intrepid Mercatus Center colleague Veronique de Rugy has some wishes for the New Year. A slice:

The negative consequences of this unchecked spending will be huge. The Congressional Budget Office, for instance, warned that an extension of unemployment bonuses and benefits creates disincentives to work and a slowdown of the economy. This extra spending also produces an ungodly level of debt, which academic research shows will ultimately slow economic growth. This means that future generations will both live in a slower-growth environment and face higher taxes to pay for today’s obscene spending. And this doesn’t even address the cultural distortions created by programs designed to pay people not to work.

So get ready for more disincentives, higher taxes, and higher inflation.

We have selected Hartanto Gunawan as one of our Global Genevans. These are inspired individuals whose work or legacies represent key issues ranging from human rights and humanitarian concern to health and climate change as embodied by the worldwide “international Geneva” community. Hartanto now lives and works out of Wat Arun, or Temple of Dawn, an early 19th century Buddhist enclave from the reign of Rama II, which is located in the Thong Buri district of Bangkok. Overlooking the Chao Phraya River, this is where in 2007 Hartanto established the Wat Arun Rajvararam Community Learning Centre (CLC) to train teenage high school graduates as nurse assistants. The one-year course is aimed at susceptible girls from poor families, but also orphans, who are the ones most likely to be taken by the traffickers.

Hope he becomes even more successful in his mission.

Wish there was a way to contribute to his efforts.

LIBERTARIAN: For those looking for a new political party to call home … …

Saturday, January 9, 2021

https://my.lp.org/contribute/join/

*** begin quote ***

As Libertarians, we often talk about the need to break up the system and fix what is broken in government, but never would we say the way to do that is to support a bombastic megalomaniac who refuses to accept that he lost an election. What good are principles of peace, self-government, non-aggression, and mutual respect if we attempt to institute them through anger, violence, and an authoritarian autocrat?

We are against the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals, which is what Trump incited that mob to try to do Wednesday. There are real grievances out there to engage, that Trump and others have obviously exploited for their own benefit.

Libertarians know better than most how pervasive corruption is in the system. Of course our elections are a sham — the intensely polarized ruling class our forefathers warned us about has created a corrupt establishment that keeps all but the most connected, most wealthy, and generally the most extreme candidates from gaining traction. However, none of those extremist Trump supporters, fueled by his dangerous rhetoric over the last four years, are up in arms that the Libertarian presidential nominee was forbidden from the debate stage (despite winning ballot access in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam). They are mad instead that their candidate lost — and they sought to use destruction of property and violence to get their way.

Members of the Libertarian Party sign an oath not to initiate the use of violence or force to enact our political or social will on others. We understand that we must fight the system strategically and not brutally. Just as we opposed the destruction caused by rioters around the country last summer in the name of virtuous causes, we adamantly oppose this use of force to usurp an election of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Over the last few days, many members of the Republican Party have reached out to inquire about a new political home — their numbers will no doubt continue to grow in the coming days and weeks.

The Libertarian Party is here.

*** end quote ***

Welcome to all who want peace.
