Governor Phil Murphy initially offered $40 million dollars in benefits. However, Amy Torres, Executive Director of the New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice said that giving illegal aliens only $40 million dollars of other people’s money for nothing is “crumbs,” adding: “This indicates that the state is not serious aside from scoring a couple of political points with headlines by offering crumbs. …How much longer is the state going to force people to fast?”

It seems unlikely that Murphy’s counter-offer will be rounding up all the illegals asking for benefits so they can be shipped back to their home countries to finish their hunger fasts there, but it should be. This is that famous never-ending slippery slope that you hear about in action. It starts with, “Let them break the law. They just want to work. I might do the same thing in their position” to “You’re racist if you think we should enforce the laws on the books” to “We should give them taxpayer money just because they’re here illegally.” While we’re at it, why would a hunger strike persuade anyone in 2021 America? Most relatively healthy people can probably make it at least 40-50 days without food and realistically, they’re all lying about being on a hunger strike anyway. You put those illegals on a scale and come back in a couple of months and half of them will have gained weight and none of them will have starved.

Murphy can donate his money if he wants but not the Taxpayers’.

Madoff Is Dead – The Great NY Cover-Up

The Madoff case was the biggest cover-up in New York’s legal history. The lawyers have made nearly $2 billion and that does not count the fees lawyers on the opposite side charged the victims. NEVER will any journalist EVER dare to risk their career by ever reporting the truth. As for that journalist who called me, she never published the story.

Tesla With No One In Driver’s Seat Wrecks, Burst Into Flames, Kills Two Men

While the NHTSA continues to sit idly by and allow Tesla to continue to beta test its “Autopilot” and “Full Self Driving” features on public roads, yet another two men are dead after a Tesla crash where no one was reported to have been in the driver’s seat at the time.

The Tesla slammed into a tree near Hammock Dunes Place in the Houston Area, a local NBC affiliate reported. The wreck was in the “Carlton Woods subdivision near the Woodlands,” the report says.

According to authorities, “the vehicle failed to negotiate a cul-de-sac turn, ran off the road and hit the tree.”

The Taxpayers have paid for it and it should be the “golden rule” (i.e., he who has the gold, Maes the rules).

I’m sure it will be “enlightening”!

And embarrassing to politicians and bureaucrats of both parties.  (That is a euphemism because they both are identical expect for whose friends and relatives get enriched!)

There are many obvious problems with electric cars as mass-market cars, most of which have been discussed. But there’s one that’s regularly overlooked:

The lack of mass-garaging.

Having a garage, of course, is not a necessity. But without one, owning – charging – an EV becomes more . . . problematic.

Without a garage – and the electrical outlets most garages have – where do you plug the electric car in overnight to recharge? An extension cord can be run from an outlet inside the house sans garage to the car parked outside – assuming you have a long enough cord.

As a fat old white guy “e-leck-trick-cal” injineer, I know a little bit amount moving electrons.  Clearly recharging is going to be an issue in several ways.  L think that this point about recharging infrastructure is a killer.  Anyone who has recharged a phone or laptop knows how long it takes,  Now imagine if your car is unusable while you’re waiting.
