Rolling Stone all but retracts Ivermectin hit piece after hospital denies key assertions

Every time I write about Ivermectin I get a few emails from people telling me to literally “f*** off” and that I’m a “f***ing idiot”. Thanks for that. I hope you have a nice day too.

Perhaps I do a bad job explaining that the controversy around Ivermectin isn’t really about Ivermectin, it’s about narrative and it’s about media integrity and it’s about credibility.

Here we have a critic of Ivermectin who made a documentary examining the claims of proponents of it who was deplatformed from Youtube “for distributing medical misinformation” even though everything within that documentary would be considered in complete conformity with current guidance and policy regarding the drug.

The subtext here is profound: David Fuller, the author of the documentary told Matt Taibbi that he

“Deliberately chose to tell the story on Rebel Wisdom rather than pitching it to a legacy media outfit,” he says. “I didn’t want to give Bret’s [Weinstein] fans the chance to paint it as an ‘MSM smear.’”

Good call, ordinarily, because as Taibbi noted,

“Fuller was making a conscious effort to use an independent editorial approach, as a means of side-stepping the credibility concerns that some audiences have with mainstream outlets.”

Taibbi is making a rare use of understatement. The MSM has lost all credibiility. This is something I’ve been saying is a serious problem for a couple hundred issues of this god forsaken newsletter now.

It appears as if the algos seem to simply zero in on anything talking about Ivermectin that isn’t from a mainstream media outlet. It’s the latter part that is more worrisome than the former.

The Mouse House said it will require all salaried and non-union hourly workers in the US to be vaccinated. Additionally, all new employees must be fully vaccinated if they want to work at Disney.

“At The Walt Disney Company, the safety and well-being of our employees during the pandemic has been and continues to be a top priority,” Disney said over the weekend. “Toward that end, and based on the latest recommendations of scientists, health officials and our own medical professionals that the COVID-19 vaccine provides the best protection against severe infection, we are requiring that all salaried and non-union hourly employees in the U.S. working at any of our sites be fully vaccinated.”

Now, it could just be that the fat and cholesterol in the meat increased circulating estrogen levels, or because of meat’s growth hormones, or all the carcinogens. And galactose, the sugar naturally found in milk, may also be directly toxic to the ovary, and dairy has got all the hormones too. Hmmm, docs can NOT “prove” that broccoli is a miracle anti-cancer “drug”.

But, low cost side effect free “treatment”?  How much proof does one need?

Even if they’re wrong and they can’t say why there’s a broccoli effect, why not just jump ahead of the “proof” in case they are wright?

Doesn’t seem much downside!

“Low fat” from everyone until there’s evidence otherwise.

It’s a “no brainer” like subbing in veggies for meat.

FROM AN EMAIL TO A FRIEND:

I sympathize with everyone because “knowing” what the right thing to do is currently impossible.  There is so much “noise” from “experts” that seems to change with the time of day. 

As far as healthy children taking the new “vaccines”, that seems “unnecessary” given that the data suggests they don’t get the WuFlu and if they do it’s very mild.  But, each parent must decide what risks they will and won’t take.

I’ll never criticize anyone who makes one choice or another.  You pays your money and takes your chances. 

For me personally, I’m not very keen on the whole decision process.  Seems unsubstantiated and rushed. Even my doctors have said privately “wait and see”.  One suggested that with my various blood chemistries (i.e., high levels of D, B1, C; lack of any severe medical problems) that I may be naturally immune. (Surprised me?). 

I’m not an anti-vaxer by any means  — just finished the shingles vax and planning to get the pneumonia vax in mid-Jun  — but i never get the flu vax because it’s low benefit for the risk  — but I think one must be extremely careful about what we do is for the right reasons.  There’s no undo button.

Every time I hear a “public service announcement” by anybody, I think of ex-EPA Christie Whitman: “Ground Zero Air Is Safe” and all the mesothelioma lawyers on TV.

So to, I try to be charitable to those who have drank the Kool Aid, taken the blue pill or are making imho a “big mistake”.  I’m not a doctor, lawyer, or Indian Chief and I could be very wrong.  If I suffer harm following my opinions, then I know who to blame.  If I follow the herd, ignore my own opinions, and harm befalls me, then who do I blame.

I can state my opinions and reasons relatively firmly but everyone has to chart their own course.

As far as interference with God’s design, that’s so far above my pay grade that I can’t see it.  I do think that we are like children playing with guns  — we know so little, we don’t know what we don’t know, and have no concept of the consequences  — it’s a bad gamble.

In twenty years, maybe the TV commercials will be “if you took the J&J vaccine and had all your hair ingrown, you or your estate can be eligible for a large cash settlement.”

My concern is that “we” don’t know what we are doing with this tool.  

It’s really mischaracterization to call it a “vaccine”.  We need a new word to distinguish it from what we know as a vaccine.

Although some studies have concluded that masks help stop the spread of COVID-19, usually they have failed to replicate real-world situations.  A common approach is to evaluate the effectiveness of mask material at stopping the expulsion or intake of the aerosols presumed to be the airborne carriers of the virus.  Useful information, perhaps, but at this stage, what we need to know is whether the widespread use of masks is measurably reducing the risk of death from the disease.  To continue requiring the use of masks makes sense only if there is compelling data that death rates are lower for people who wear masks than it is for people who do not.
