So is this a condition if them getting military disability?

Or, if they are not on disability, is this a de facto admission that they are disabled?

As I awake from a rare restful slumber,

Dying red leaves resplendent in the brightest morning shine I see.

It’s the fall. Dying time. For all old leaves.

No rage just sad awareness that the cold winter and death for all that’s old is just a breath away.

Not sad. Just a fact. Make way for the new, the young, the untired.

Body Doubles: A Very Handy Politico’s Tool, From LBJ to HRC
By Phillip F. Nelson
September 14, 2016

*** begin quote ***

An interesting story about a purported “Hillary Double” is now bouncing around the internet, even though it has not yet broken through the “glass ceiling” that covers the Mainstream Media (MSM), except for a few places where it is mentioned in hushed tones, as yet another “conspiracy theory.”

*** and ***

The accompanying report notes the fact that when Mrs. Clinton left the event at the 9/11 memorial ceremony she collapsed and had to be lifted by several of her attendants into her van. Clearly, that vehicle is specially equipped to accommodate her needs and is never very far away from where she is. After it drove off, instead of taking the obviously very ill candidate to a hospital, it turned out that less than an hour later, she emerged from her daughter Chelsea’s apartment building looking as “fit as a fiddle.” Still another rumor has it that Chelsea’s apartment includes a special room that is equipped just for her mother’s needs: A standard hospital room, with the bed and all the other related medical appliances one might find in a hospital.

What gives the story “legs” (no pun intended) is that when Hillary did emerge from the apartment building, she seemed to have lost about 20 pounds in the process and had apparently even changed her earrings, even though she seemed to be wearing the same clothes as she previously had worn at the ceremony. But another interesting point was observed which also makes the entire vignette quite a bit more enigmatic: She was alone, not one Secret Service agent or the large black man in suit and tie who is usually always at her side, carrying something that looks a lot like a medical device even though her campaign says it’s only a flashlight (But why is he always carrying it in the daylight)? And worse, she wanders out to the sidewalk and proceeds to hug a young girl, even though she was just diagnosed with contagious pneumonia! As America is temporarily “relieved” to see the candidate recuperate almost instantly to what had seemed to be a severe, life-threatening medical emergency, the cloak of concern simply morphs into one of astonishment. Not to the wonders of modern medical treatments that could work so immediately, but to the question of what is truth, contrasted with what is possibly related to the worlds of sorcery and black magic: A product not of medical technology, but that of the world of ages-old gypsies and grifters: It’s known colloquially as “blue smoke and mirrors.”

*** end quote ***

Sorry, but I agree that they are using a “body double”.

The tip off is nothing that looks like Secret Service!

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: The “civilian” Gooferment has more troops than the USMC!

British Exit Not a Done Deal
By Jason Stapleton –  Jun 24, 2016 673

*** begin quote ***

Markets are in an uproar today after the UK voted to leave the EU. But has anyone bothered to look at what happens next? I think a lot of people believe that a British separation from the EU is inevitable, even imminent but nothing could be further from the truth.

By my estimation, it’s going to take at least two and a half years for the UK to make it’s transition and that’s assuming there are no political shenanigans that come up. Considering that a mere 2% separated the winners from the losers, it would not be at all unlikely to see some MP’s step up to block the referendum from being implemented.

What you need to understand is that we are years away from any change coming to the trading relationship between the UK and EU, and a lot can happen between now and then.

From the EU discussion, we’ll move to guns where I’ll play some interesting comments from Charlie Rangel, who apparently believes he deserves to be protected by guns while you should be forced to fend for yourself.

*** end quote ***

Obviously, BREXIT, if not sabotaged by the effete elite, will take several years to unwind.

Hopefully, it will spur a bunch of mini —EXITs.

I hope New Hampshire is one, but I think Texas needs to lead and be first. (Although, imho, North Dakota with the fracking oil and the only State Bank — the Bank of North Dakota — is the best prepared to EXIT since it doesn’t need the “services” of the Federal Reserve.)

ALSO

Jason excoriates Rangel with his snide laugh at the stupid “law abiding people”. (Made my blood boil!)

ALSO

Jason points out that the “civilian” Gooferment has more troops than the USMC! WTH!!!

Department of Education has SWAT teams? Why?

EPA, IRS, NOAA, FDA … … why?

POLITICAL: Ann McLane Kuster maybe “listening”, but I’m unimpressed

Thursday, June 30, 2016
June 27, 2016

Dear Mr. Reinke,

Thank you for reaching out to me with your views regarding Selective Service, more commonly known as the military draft.  Listening to my constituents is a fundamental part of my job as it helps me to best represent you and New Hampshire’s priorities in Congress.

The men and women who serve our country deserve our utmost respect and recognition, regardless of their gender.  Today, women are taking on more responsibilities in our Armed Forces than ever before, from assuming new combat roles to reaching new heights in military leadership.  I support recent reforms allowing women to serve in new military combat roles, because all Americans should share in the responsibility of protecting our freedom and preserving our way of life.

As you may know, Selective Service was originally enacted in 1917 as a response to World War I.  It has existed in various forms since that time, with today’s version, enacted in 1980, requiring all males to register for potential military service in the case of an emergency.  An amendment to the FY 2017 National Defense Authorization Act(NDAA), approved during House Armed Services Committee markup, would also require women to register.  As your Representative, please know that I will keep your thoughtful views in mind if I have the opportunity to vote on legislation concerning the Selective Service.

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me.  I strive to maintain an open dialogue with the people of New Hampshire about issues important to our district.  If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact my Concord office at (603) 226-1002 or my Washington, DC office at (202) 225-5206.  I also encourage you to sign up for my e-newsletter at http://Kuster.house.gov/contact/newsletter, visit my website at http://Kuster.house.gov, follow me on Twitter at @RepAnnieKuster, or check out my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/CongresswomanAnnieKuster

Sincerely,

Ann McLane Kuster
Member of Congress

SURVIVAL: Misconceptions that will kill you in your TEO planning

Friday, May 6, 2016

Seven Common TEOTWAWKI Misconceptions, by Brian T.

*** begin quote ***

Misconception number four:  Roving criminal hordes will come from the urban environment to your rural home or Bug Out Location (BOL).  Nope, these people do not play chess or even checkers; they do not plan ahead much at all.  Criminals, with few exceptions are lazy.  And many are on drugs.  Yes, a few will flee at the very beginning if they have a specific refuge in mind, the uncle with the farm, but most will not leave their familiar comfortable environment.  Even if they have an operational vehicle capable of the trip it is likely to be low on fuel, particularly these days.  They will burn up what little fuel they have driving around their usual haunts, to the liquor and drug stores, then to the convenience or grocery store like they did before the event until their tank is empty.  Walking or biking to save fuel will never cross their mind. No gas means no travel for this group.  There will be rare exceptions.

*** and ***

In a crisis, do not plan on doing things you have never done and do not plan on other people’s behavior to change, neither one is very likely.

*** end quote ***

Interesting.

Reminds me of that story where the guy build a retreat, and unbuilt it, that was virtually undetectable.

Maybe all the planning and thinking about TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) is just foolishness.

But it does make sense to plan for the bad things that can happen more frequently (i.e., storms, power outages, financial turmoil, political unrest).

Doing nothing / planning nothing just ensures failure.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Case against Temple physics professor after making evidence error

*** begin quote ***

An American scientist who was accused of being a spy for China has had all the charges against him dropped after the FBI admitted it had made a massive mistake in arresting him in the first place.

Federal agents had claimed they had evidence that Dr Xi Xiaoxing sent the secret blueprints for a sophisticated U.S. device called a ‘pocket heater’ to Chinese scientists.

But months after the physics professor was led away in handcuffs from Temple University, where he works, the FBI admitted the blueprints they found were not for the heater at all – but for a totally innocuous gadget.

On Friday night, Dr Xi, 57, said in a phone interview reported in the New York Times: ‘I don’t expect them to understand everything I do. But the fact that they don’t consult with experts and then charge me? Put my family through all this? Damage my reputation? They shouldn’t do this. This is not a joke. This is not a game.’

*** end quote ***

Maybe the agents have been listening to the Donald and his anti-Chinese rhetoric?

In actuality, the Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. And here’s an example.

Black Eye for the FBI.

Guess they have to go back to setting up fools for charges.

Herding Cats: Texas Independence Faces Challenges From Within

Wednesday, February 25, 2015

In an interesting post, Longcore points out that we need to focus all our attention — laser like — on liberty and property rights. I’d have said “life, liberty, and property” cribbing from the Founding Fathers. But , if you just have to focus on one, to me it’s “liberty”. Hope others among “We, The Sheeple” listen. Especially when the Oligarchy reprised it’s favorite mantra “We have pass these internet regulations for net neutrality, so you mundanes can see what’s in them” yesterday. Argh!

Herding Cats Herding Cats

Have you ever thought about herding cats?

Cats are known for their aloof independence. Sure, your cat will curl up in your lap and purr while you pet him, but how often do you see cats sit…or speak…or fetch on demand? Nobody trains guard CATS. There are no Feline Units in your local police department. So the visual image above of cowboys herding cats is meant to be absurd, showing that corralling a bunch of snooty independent cats is a tough job.

“Herding Cats” also accurately describes efforts to get independence-minded patriots to work together. Let me tell you a story that illustrates this phrase well.

Back in the decade of the 2000s, I shifted from being an activist, conservative, Marine Corps-loving, pro-war, pro-gun, rock-ribbed Republican to being a Libertarian. I had read book after book about liberty, and it became quite clear in…

The bottom line is that the president settled on a controversial, high- risk strategy here in a difficult and problematic manner — and then sought to use his mastery of pop culture to change the story to a more palatable one. But some stories just can’t be gussied up.

More important for the president’s future fortunes is this lesson: You can only spin for so long before you start spinning yourself. Spin and spin and spin and soon you have a whirlwind to reap.

Donald Sterling Agrees to Sell L.A. Clippers, Drop Lawsuit

Donald Sterling, the L.A. Clipper’s embattled owner, has agreed to sell the basketball team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and is dropping a lawsuit against the NBA, his lawyer said.

Mr. Sterling initially vowed to fight a deal struck last week by his wife, Shelly Sterling, to sell the team to Mr. Ballmer for $2 billion. The NBA in April set out to force him from the league after racist comments he made became public in a recording.

The league’s board of governors must approve any sale.

For thise who have read my biography of Frau Reinke, I tell the story of how she was put in an overflow ward at Saint Peter hospital and some bozo was smoking. When the staff did not ever care to fix the situation, I call the Fire Depoartment. That crusty old New Brunsiwck Fire Cheif certainly cared!

When I read this story, I gave myself a patt on the back. It was many years ago. I forget the date. And, whle Frau Reinke was majorly POed at me, I never felt bad.

Now I feel proud of that decision!

Maybe if you kick in, I promise NOT to send it to you. (Ask my relatives who got one of my books as Christmas presents! Revenge. I can do it again this year.)

Laff.

Congratulations!

Your personal fundraising page for National Novel Writing Month 2013 is nowlive and ready for donations.

How do I start fundraising after I sign up?

Send emails to your five favorite people. Let them know how they’ve influenced your creativity, and how much their support would mean now.

Want more tips? Check out our Camp NaNoWriMo Fundraising 101 page.

How much does my support actually help?

Last year, 75% of our income came from donors and fundraisers like you. Without you, we couldn’t have supported the 450,000 novelists, 80,000 students in our Young Writers Program, and 615 libraries in our Come Write In program who wrote with us last year. It’s why we want to shower you in gratitude; you will feel a pleasant glow, beginning…now.

Will we earn the thank-you donor goodies?

Every dollar you raise will go towards our programs, and will also earn you the donor goodies for the total amount you’ve raised by December 20. If you get one person to donate $25, you’ll get the NaNoWriMo donor gifts for the $25 level. Get twenty people to donate $25, and we’ll send you the gift armada of the $500 thank-you package. (See donor goodie details at: store.nanowrimo.org)

INSPIRATIONAL: “Be Present” is like “Be in the moment” or “Mindfulness”

The 10 Habits of Highly Successful Hunter-Gatherers

*** begin quote ***

Habit #4: Be Present

We can all do a self-inventory now of the attention we give our phones or other technological devices. We can confess to ourselves how much we let residual work infiltrate our personal lives. Don’t forget what I think is one of our biggest trip-ups in modern living: the penchant for mental chatter. Truth be told, how much time do we spend caught up in replaying a conversation from the previous evening, imagining multiple stressful scenarios that might take place when we confront a certain person about x, y, and z, worrying about what other people think of our outfit or hair today? Let’s face it, our modern disconnect is rampant distraction.

Can you imagine if Grok walked across the savanna perpetually lost in thought about his latest wardrobe experiment? (As if he ever saw his reflection anyway…) He wouldn’t last long enough for it to matter. For our ancestors, life was an exercise in continual hyper-vigilance. Not every second, but close. It wasn’t just the risk of becoming another creature’s dinner either. Attentiveness also meant watching for weather, catching migratory patterns, and deciphering water sources – just to name a few examples.

The Primal Connection is to be found in giving the moment your full attention. It’s about minding the difference between thoughtful deliberation or reflection and so-called monkey brain. It’s about throwing off the strangling self-absorption we trap ourselves in every day standing in line with our phones or with our mental chatter. See the people, places, and possibilities in front of you. Feed this “highly successful” habit by observing your loved ones – all the changes and uniqueness that’s right there to be appreciated. Go on a walk with the goal of finding at least a dozen things you’ve never noticed. Use mindfulness check-ins to remember to come down from the mental busyness and come back to center throughout the day.

*** end quote ***

It’s hard not to “multi-task”.

It’s not like we are computers.

And even when they “multitask”, there is a certain about of inefficiency in doing it.

I remember coding BALR 14,15, Using 15, with all sorts of saving and restoring. That’s all “wasted effort”. We used to carefully consider if the “overhead” was worth the “gain”.

Sitting just doing one thing. Fully engaged. With no distraction. Is the closest thing we get here on the dirt.

If you’ve ever been in “the zone”, it’s as if time stands still. (And, I’ve had some Theology lecture that proved the principle that Hell is real and unending!)

If you’ve NEVER been in “the zone”, how sad!!!
