INOVATION: Researchers Create a Metal Structure That Will Not Sink or Stay Submerged Under Water

Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Even more remarkable is that the trapped air remains trapped almost indefinitely, which the researchers discovered after deliberately submerging one of their aluminum water-repelling sandwiches underwater for two whole months after which it immediately floated back to the surface once released.

VETERANS: Veterans’ Day should be renamed to Armistice Day

Pro-war propaganda
Tom Woods

*** begin quote ***

Pro-war propaganda.

A fellow I do a fair amount of business with posted on social media today that this is not a day for “antiwar propaganda.”

Nonsense.

Veterans’ Day was originally Armistice Day, in commemoration of the cessation of hostilities in World War I. The armistice was signed in the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in 1918.

For four years, Europe tore itself apart, and sent millions of men into a meat grinder for no good reason. Tens of thousands would die, and the front would move a matter of yards.

Especially on this hundredth anniversary of the original Armistice Day, how does anyone seriously expect to honor the fallen without any discussion of the madmen who sent them into this horror?

Did their deaths occur in some abstract realm, outside time, space, and causation?

Or were they killed in specific ways, under orders from particular people?

Anyone speaking in mere platitudes today is an enemy of mankind.

The left-liberals and neoconservatives alike, who always seem to put aside their pretend differences when an idiotic war is in the offing, and who make saccharine speeches about democracy and openness and peace, are enemies of mankind.

As a reminder of how deranged our cultural elite and political establishment are, how many major political figures of the past hundred years have been dismissed from polite society for urging too much war?

There are lots of things that get you demonized and ostracized in America, but that ain’t one of them.

Usually it gets you called a “statesman.”

This is deranged.

Especially on Veterans Day should we speak out against war and the lying propagandists who foment them.

And the state cheerleaders who make excuses for them. (Why, Saddam really did have WMDs! etc.)

Especially culpable are the so-called conservatives who claim to distrust government propaganda — and yes, they’re indeed very sound on the milk subsidies question — but who can’t ape that Pentagon press release fast enough.

To hell with all of them.

*** end quote ***

The best way to “celebrate” Veterans’ Day is DEMAND that “we” stop creating so many of then, and “wasting” their lives,  IMMEDIATELY.

Never met a vet who disagreed.

Interesting.

One would think that the original publisher has it in electronic form and could just submit the file.

If the original publisher has no plans for future publishing, then it would seem like a big win for humanity.

TINFOILHAT: Can PG&E deliver power at all?

Was There Another Reason For Electricity Shutdowns In California?
Authored by Richard Trzupek via The Epoch Times,

*** begin quote ***

According to the official, widely reported story, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) shut down substantial portions of its electric transmission system in northern California as a precautionary measure.

Citing high wind speeds they described as “historic,” the utility claims that if they didn’t turn off the grid, wind-caused damage to their infrastructure could start more wildfires in the area.

Perhaps that’s true. Perhaps. This tale presumes that the folks who designed and maintain PG&E’s transmission system are unaware of or ignored the need to design it to withstand severe weather events, and that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) allowed the utility to do so.

Ignorance and incompetence happens, to be sure, but there’s much about this story that doesn’t smell right—and it’s disappointing that most journalists and elected officials are apparently accepting it without question.

*** end quote ***

Here’s an interesting theory as to why PG&E has to cut power to Customers.

Of course, there’s no way for Joe-Sixpack to know if this is true, but it’s an “interesting question”.

I’d bet there’s some truth to it.

California’s Prop 47 leads to rise in shoplifting, thefts, criminal activity across state
By Barnini Chakraborty | Fox News

*** begin quote ***

California is one of a handful of states that doesn’t hand out plastic shopping bags. To get one, the purchaser has to pay an additional dime. Residents looking to save ten cents and spare the environment typically put merchandise in a purse, backpack or have it in their hand when they walk out, an unintended consequence of which is shoplifters can easily “fit in and walk out” with the paying crowd.

“It’s nuts,” Michelin said. “Stores are going to be forced to lock up all their merchandise.”

ADMINISTRIVIA: Rebooting me, the blog, and life

2019-Nov-01 1841

On October 12, I had a mitral valve repair.

https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/007411.htm

It was minimally invasive and no problems were expected.

Unfortunately, the anesthetic impacted my prostate and it shut the urinary tube.  A catheterization solved that problem.

Apparently, the drugs prescribed to allow my recovery sent my bp and pulse into highs and lows.  Changing them around — eliminate some, change others — seemed to get me back level.

Recovery took longer than I expected and wasn’t as easy as I anticipated.

But, I think I’m back to where I was before I was “fixed”.

The Atomic Bombings Reconsidered

Friday, November 1, 2019

That redefinition of morality was a product of World War II, which included such barbarities as Germany’s systematic murder of six million Jews and Japan’s rape of Nanking. While the worst atrocities were perpetrated by the Axis, all the major nation-states sliced away at the moral code — often to the applause of their leaders and citizens alike. By 1945 there were few moral restraints left in what had become virtually a total war. Even F.D.R.’s prewar concern for sparing enemy civilians had fallen by the wayside. In that new moral climate, any nation that had the A-bomb would probably have used it against enemy peoples. British leaders as well as Joseph Stalin endorsed the act. Germany’s and Japan’s leaders surely would have used it against cities. America was not morally unique — just technologically exceptional. Only it had the bomb, and so only it used it.

November 1, 1945 was schedule for the invasion of Japan.

Who knows how many on both side would have died?

WW2’s “tactics” really ended the protection of non-combatant civilians.

So why should we be surprised that “terrorism” has emerged as the tool of Fifth Generation asymmetrical warfare?

Report: Ukraine ‘Whistleblower’ Had ‘Professional Relationship’ with 2020 Democrat

Wednesday, October 9, 2019

The Examiner’s report raises further questions about the so-called “whistleblower” and his complaint, which alleges President Donald Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate allegations of corruption against former Vice President and 2020 White House hopeful Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. In an August 26th letter, Atkinson said the officer was found to have harbored “political bias” in favor of a rival political candidate to President Trump. York’s report contradicts a claim by CNN anchor Jake Tapper, who stated last week that the so-called “whistleblower’s” political bias was that he was a “registered Democrat.”

TINFOILHAT: The Implosion of Building 7 Remains the Irrefutable ‘Smoking Gun‘ of a 9/11 Inside Job – LewRockwell

Tuesday, October 8, 2019

The dramatic thrust about 9/11 that is always the undercurrent of the mainstream narrative goes as follows: “Middle Eastern highjackers piloted American planes with American passengers into American buildings, killing thousands of Americans, so let’s make them pay!” As a support for this narrative, however, the destruction of Building 7 a full 7 hours later is at best anticlimactic. In fact, a closer examination of the evidence surrounding Building 7 begins to erode the entire narrative, and start us questioning whether the whole scene really played out the way we are being told.

If, as seems to be a growing consensus now, that all 3 buildings had been prepared for controlled demolitions in order to advance the narrative above, then perhaps Building 7, too, was meant to be hit by a plane. As it turns out, its demolition 7 hours later appears to have been damage control for a part of the plan that went wrong.  By that time, word was getting out on the ground that Building 7 was going to be taken down. Reports came to journalists and other onlookers from law enforcement officers, the fire department and others that the building was going to be taken down, and that people should leave the area.

The video below provides compelling testimony of this, since it is from a collection of people who were there as it was happening, and with no particular agenda other than to say what they were told, what they heard, or what they saw.

All that is necessary is to ask the question.

If this upsets, some people so be it.

If this is true, then it becomes the biggest hit on Gooferment propaganda since Pearl Harbor. (Referring to FDR engineering the Japanese attack to get out of the Great Depression.)

While this story is not imho “proven” yet, it certainly is more open and honest that the NIST report or other Gooferment “pronouncements” on the whole 911 disaster. NIST never shared its data or models for “security” reasons. That’s what the Gooferment always says.

Remember that the CIA created the phrase “Conspiracy Theories” to discredit any disagreement with the “official story”.

In my opinion, from my brain square in my tin foil hat, a Conspiracy Theorist merely needs to assert “inconvenient facts”, ask questions, or put “small holes” in the Gooferment propaganda balloon to have default credibility. They may be wrong. They may have been wrong on other topics in the past. BUT, (and there is always a BIG butt), they deserve a “fair hearing”; not dismissal out of hand.

If there is a “conspiracy”, it’s from the “Deep State” and / or “the rich elite”. So, “We, The Sheeple” need to suspect everything they are EVER told by Gooferment politicians or bureaucrats.

As I said in my recent vaccine post, where the NY DOH bureaucrat swears that vaccines are same, I point to my personal “EXHIBIT #1” of Christie Todd Wittman, the head of the EPA, assuring us that the air around the 911 site was safe to breathe. Argh! TO quote a famous TV jurist, “I wouldn’t believe you, if your tongue came notarized.” … attributed to Judge Marilyn Milian, but may have an earlier history.

YMMV, but I think the Gooferment “explanation” of 911/7WTC is suspect at best.

Court Forces Release of Clinton WikiLeaks Discussion Email that Confirms State Department Knew about Her Email Account — Judicial Watch | Judicial Watch

Monday, October 7, 2019

“Judicial Watch just caught the State Department and DOJ red-handed in another email cover-up – they all knew about the Clinton email account but covered up the smoking-gun email showing this guilty knowledge for years,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

The scope of court-ordered discovery that produces this email find includes: whether Secretary Clinton used private email in an effort to evade the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); whether the State Department’s attempt to settle this FOIA case in 2014 and 2015 amounted to bad faith; and whether the State Department has adequately searched for records responsive to Judicial Watch’s FOIA request.

During a recent hearing, Judge Lamberth specifically raised concerns about a Clinton email cache, carterheavyindustries@gmail.com, discussed in a letter to Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) and wants Judicial Watch to “shake this tree” on this issue.

While I did not pay for, authorize, nor supervise their dam project, I think they would be highly offended that you call their skillful use of natures building materials ‘debris.’I would like to challenge your department to attempt to emulate their dam project any time and/or any place you choose. I believe I can safely state there is no way you could ever match their dam skills, their dam resourcefulness, their dam ingenuity, their dam persistence, their dam determination and/or their dam work ethic.

Biden visited Ukraine at least a dozen times over the next two years, ostensibly to help new pro-Western president Petro Poroshenko root out corruption. But what was Biden really doing? We should be told.

Have Online Reviews Lost All Value? – WSJ

Saturday, September 28, 2019

Chris McCabe, who evaluated seller performance while employed at Amazon and who now runs a consulting firm for its retailers, estimates the number of inauthentic reviews on the site to be around 30%. Amazon estimates it at less than 1% and said it spent more than $400 million last year alone to protect customers from reviews abuse, fraud and misconduct, leading to action against more than 5 million reviewers. Even so, “Amazon doesn’t have the right defenses,” Mr. McCabe said.
