In the spring of 2020, Jon Chapple and a friend were debating lockdown. Jon was pretty vehement. He said he thought it was obvious that shutting down the country, and effectively making the NHS a Covid-only service, was a huge error. It would kill more people than it saved in the long run, Jon told his friend. What Jon didn’t know was that one of the people lockdown would condemn to death would be him.
How could he possibly have known? Jon was 32, a music journalist turned PR who had recently married Nikki, his childhood sweetheart. They grew up two streets away from each other in Essex. The couple were incredibly happy, planning to move into a bigger place, start a family; life was sweet, apart from an annoying stomach complaint Jon had seen the GP about in January.
He’d been referred for a colonoscopy that was supposed to happen in March, but lockdown kiboshed that. The appointment was pushed back until August when a benign polyp was discovered in Jon’s bowel. The consultant said he didn’t have the right tool to take it out (he didn’t mention it was because the growth was so large) but he told Jon he’d get him back in to do it. “It was no big deal, I thought,” recalls Jon.

What a national disaster! A simple colonoscopy could have save him a lot of suffering and maybe Gooferment cost him his life.

A Missouri middle schooler was so determined to make it to his graduation, he ended up walking 6 miles.
Losing out on an opportunity for a ride there, 8th-grader Xavier Jones asked his friend and brother to walk along with him, remembering something a mentor at Yeatman Middle School had told him.
“‘If I want it, I got to go get it,’” Jones told Fox News, remembering the advice. Together, the young men walked over 10,000 steps and two-and-a-half hours through St. Louis to arrive at the school.

While Ahlam Tamimi, the mastermind of the 2001 Jerusalem pizzeria bombing, enjoys legal protection in neighboring Jordan, her 16th victim — 53-year-old Chana Nachenberg — died in a Tel Aviv hospital after 22 years in a coma. New York-born Nachenberg was at the restaurant with her two-year-old daughter, who was also injured in the bombing.
Ahlam Tamimi, a Hamas terrorist of Jordanian nationality, received 16 consecutive life sentences from an Israeli court for orchestrating the suicide bombing. In 2011, She was released in exchange for an Israeli soldier held in Hamas captivity for five years.
According to Tamimi’s own admission, she chose the popular West Jerusalem restaurant because it was well-frequented by religious Jews. The suicide bomber, on Tamimi’s orders, blew himself up inside the Sbarro pizzeria. The blast initially killed 15 people, including seven children and a pregnant woman. More than 130 people were injured in the bombing.

While I am personally against the death penalty, sometimes it’s warranted.

After 2 verbal requests to accompany the leading assault elements in the Normandy invasion had been denied, Brig. Gen. Roosevelt’s written request for this mission was approved and he landed with the first wave of the forces assaulting the enemy-held beaches.
