RANT: Where’s the Rose parade? Or any of the New Year’s parades. No Mummers?

I miss them all. Were all the parades cancelled?

    The 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade, with the theme Just Imagine…, will take place on Monday, January 2, 2012 in accordance with the “Never On A Sunday” tradition and will be broadcast commercial-free live at 8:00 a.m. on KTLA 5 and KTLA.COM with hosts Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards.

    CLASSIC PARADE FOOTAGE: On January 1st at 9:00 a.m., KTLA 5 will broadcast an encore of the 93rd Rose Parade, first aired on January 1, 1982. This particular parade is significant to KTLA 5 because it is the first time Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards hosted parade coverage together. This classic Rose Parade broadcast is a tribute to three decades of Bob and Stephanie’s coverage of the Tournament of Roses Parade on KTLA 5.
