A retired Qantas pilot has opened up on what may have happened during the mysterious MH370 flight that disappeared almost 10 years ago.

Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 vanished over the South China Sea during a flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China, on March 8, 2014.

The puzzling case made headlines across the world as it seemed the plane, which carried 239 people – including six Australians, disappeared without a trace.

Just one week after the plane was downed, then-Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak claimed there was a ‘high degree of certainty’ communications with MH370’s cockpit were deliberately cut.

One popular theory is the crash was a murder-suicide at the hands of captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, 53, but it has never been confirmed by authorities.

British aerospace engineer Richard Godfrey last month accused the Malaysian Government of abandoning its search for MH370.

He claims the government did not want to invest any more funding into the mission, despite several calls from victims’ families to relaunch search efforts last year.

‘In my view, the Malaysian government does not want the cause of the crash of MH370 to be known,’ he told the Sydney Morning Herald.

‘It does not help to speculate what the motives of the Malaysian Government might be with regard to MH370.’

Sad to say but this “story” does nothing to answer the questions or prove that it was a murder – suicide.

An aerospace expert believes he has finally discovered the resting place of ill-fated flight MH370 using sophisticated radio wave technology, as he claims the pilot’s ‘strange’ course suggests he was ‘being followed’.

The Malaysian Airlines flight carrying 239 people, including six Australians, vanished without a trace on March 8, 2014, shortly after leaving Kuala Lumpur for Beijing.  

Despite an extensive four-year $200million international search effort spanning more than 120,000sqm, the Boeing 777’s wreckage is yet to be found, with devastated families claiming the crash was not an accident. 

But British aerospace engineer Richard Godfrey believes MH370 hit the ocean 1,933 km due west of Perth, and lies 4,000m under the water, along a line known as the ‘seventh arc’.

I’d really like for these families to have “closure”.  And, there is a mystery to be “solved”.

Who knows what the real story is UNTIL we find the plane.  It may not give the answer but may be it will.

Buried in the lengthy report released last week by Australia’s MH370 investigators is one crucial revelation: the aircraft suffered a serious technical problem triggered by a power outage.

The Australian Defense Science and Technology report officially acknowledges the doomed Malaysia Airlines flight suffered a sudden electrical failure before its disappearance on March 8 last year, the Daily Beast found. This backs the popular “zombie plane” theory, whereby the missing plane’s avionic systems are ravaged, rendering the flight crew helpless, and the aircraft continued flying on autopilot until it ran out of fuel.

How crazy am I to thinkI actually know where that Malaysia Airlines plane is?

In the year since the vanishing of MH370, I appeared on CNN more than 50 times, watched my spouse’s eyes glaze over at dinner, and fell in with a group of borderline-obsessive amateur aviation sleuths. A million theories bloomed, including my own.

The International Business Times headlined its story “MH370: Russia’s Grand Plan to Provoke World War III, Says Independent Investigator” and linked directly to the Putin part. Somehow, the airing of my theory helped quell my obsession. My gut still tells me I’m right, but my brain knows better than to trust my gut.

Last month, the Malaysian government declared that the aircraft is considered to have crashed and all those aboard are presumed dead. Malaysia’s transport minister told a local television station that a key factor in the decision was the fact that the search mission for the aircraft failed to achieve its objective. Meanwhile, new theories are still being hatched.

This writer seems to make a cogent case why MH370 hasn’t been found.

But, I’m sure anyone who has any theory will be labeled a tin foil hat!

So far, this seems the most reasonable explanation.

A second mystery around the disappearance of Flight MH370 has largely gone unnoticed: why hasn’t the United States been in the forefront of providing information about it? The implications of this question are massive.

There would be nothing unprecedented in such an act: on at least 3 occasions, regrettably, America’s military has shot down civilian airliners, only admitting eventually to the one they could not hide. They are also indirectly responsible for a fourth.

Iran Air Flight 655 was stupidly shot down in 1988 by the USS Vincennes in Iranian waters during the Iraq-Iran War, not only killing 290 people including 66 children, but there was a long period afterwards in which the U.S. admitted no wrong-doing, offered no apology, and no compensation to its victims (only 8 years later was a quiet settlement made).

It was a quite vicious set of circumstances and the injustice of it led unquestionably to the motive for bombing Pan Am Flight 103, killing 259 people and 11 on the ground, later the same year by people still unknown.

TWA Flight 800 over the East Coast of the United States was certainly the victim of a shipboard American anti-aircraft missile accidentally released. The evidence included radar tracks and eye witnesses. But the U.S., instead of admitting its horrible error and compensating victims, conducted a long and almost farcical investigation headed up by the same FBI that gave us the farcical investigation into the Kennedy assassination.

Last, the fourth hijacked plane on 9/11, United Flight 93, of “Let’s roll” pop legend, which crashed over Pennsylvania was almost certainly shot down by an air-to-air missile from a fighter plane. A plane was seen by witnesses, the distribution of the wreckage tends to support a shoot-down, and just the sheer impossibility of America’s hundreds of billions of dollars in air defences staying asleep at the switch for a fourth event the same day argue powerfully for an attack.
