Man Finally Meets Family That Hid Him During Nazi Holocaust 80 Years Ago–And Visits the House
By Andy Corbley – Feb 7, 202

*** begin quote ***

An elderly Belgian man was able to meet the descendants of a neighbor who saved him from the Holocaust after his perseverant son and a helpful geneticist managed to track down his grandchildren.

The meeting was organized in the same house where a 5-year-old David Rossler was hidden along with his mother. Now 85, Rossler had a chance to thank the grandchildren for what their grandfather, Georges Bourlet, had done.

Mr. Bourlet lived in Auderghem, Brussels with his four adolescent children, Paul, Jacques, Anne-Marie, and Christiane. Together they gave shelter to Rossler and his mother towards the end of the war in 1944 after Rossler’s uncle and grandfather had already been seized and sent to Auschwitz.

“In Jewish tradition, there is a saying that ‘he who saves one life saves all of humanity’ – Georges Bourlet saved humanity nine times over We are submitting our testimony to Yad Vashem in hopes that he will be recognized for his heroism and granted the title of ‘Righteous Among the Nations,’” said Lionel, referencing the Israeli civilian honor for those who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust.

I’m not sure I’d have the courage to hide Jews from the Nazis.  Not only did Georges Bourlet risk his own life but also that of his family to do a brave thing.  He knew the risks and did it.  That’s “stones”.

We don’t know how many took the same gamble and were killed for it.

As I said, I’m not sure I could handle a big challenge like that.  May all my temptations be small enough for my limited abilities.

GUNS: Could the US Gooferment ever sieze all the guns?

If firearm confiscation were to become law, and gun owners fought against it, how many fatalities of either police or civilians would gun control activists be willing to accept before abandoning the effort?

Why would there be ANY fatalities?

Let’s think about the sides here:

On one side, you have gun owners, who aren’t willing to surrender their rights. They have guns.

On that same side, you have police, who (for the most part) are in favor of ‘civilian’ ownership of guns, and who (for the most part) have taken an oath to defend the constitution. They, also, have guns.

The only ones on the other side are the misguided citizens and politicians who illegally voted for gun confiscation. They, for the most part, have no guns. How, exactly, are they going to pose a lethal threat to the other side? This just seems like a non-starter, and possibly the shortest conflict ever.

The only question is, how will the victors handle those who sought to deprive them of their rights?

*** end quote ***

Sorry, but it is an interesting “thought experiment”.

I’d think it would be interesting to consider what would happen in the “inner city” first.  I’ve often written that the drug gangs would be a fine example of a guerrilla militia since Viet Nam.  Farmed by day; warrior by night.  The police can’t currently control the guns in the streets today under today’s rules.  What will happen if the elite Gooferment officials (i.e., ivory tower politicians and bureaucrats) declare it “open season”.  I doubt that police would enforce those orders.

Now let’s consider what happens in the rural areas where the average hunter may have better and more practiced with arms.  That’s not going to be pretty.

Now let’s consider all the arm chair keyboard warriors.  I’d bet that half give up their guns, but the other half would give a good account of “from my cold dead hands”.  That will be be a blood bath.

In short, it would be short, bloody, and a reaffirmation of the RKBA.

Consider that in the USA there are probably a lot more guns than people.  And, those trains will not be loading willing participants.

Most patriots will remember the Holocaust, the Japanese American interment, the Trail of Tears, and Gooferment’s violent history of suppression here and abroad.

Yes, how will the trials after work out for the gun grabbers.

Hope it never comes to that.

Peace.

The older I get, the more I think, why? The only answer I can find is hate. Hate is the beginning of a disease, like cancer. It may kill your enemy, but it will destroy you in the process too.

So I hate no one, not even Hitler. I do not forgive him. If I forgive, I am a traitor to the six million who died. But I also live for them, and live the best life I can.

Life is not always happiness, there are many hard days. Don’t blame others for your misfortunes. Remember you are lucky to be alive. Every breath is a gift.

Life is beautiful if you let it be: please, every day, remember to be happy, and to make others happy, too.

RANT: France has a lot to be ashamed of too!

France’s dark role in rounding up Jews: Previously-unseen pictures show men boarding a train in Paris watched by SS ‘Final Solution’ chief after thousands were lured to ‘routine registrations’ then arrested by French officials

  • The ‘green ticket round-up’ saw Jews in Paris invited for a ‘status review’ which appeared to be a formality
  • When they arrived, the Jews were immediately arrested and sent away to internment camps in France
  • They were held for as long as a year in the camps before they were sent to Auschwitz where they were killed
  • Photos of the round-up taken by a German soldier on a propaganda mission have been recently discovered

Remember this when you think of the poor Americans of Japanese descent who were rounded up.

Gooferment politicians and bureaucrats can NEVER be trusted.

INSPIRATIONAL: International Holocaust Remembrance Day, lest we forget!

Why this Holocaust survivor still wears his concentration camp uniform

Ed Mosberg’s hands stay steady as he slips into the striped cotton jacket and matching cap — an outfit identical to one he was issued 75 years ago, as a prisoner of the Plaszów concentration camp in Poland.

Although it brings back unspeakable memories, the 92-year-old occasionally dons the uniform, “so people remember [the Holocaust] happened. When I wear the uniform, they know,” Mosberg told The Post.

He still wears his original number plate — issued by camp guards as a way to dehumanize Jewish prisoners by taking away their names — every day. It’s now strung on a gold bracelet to replace the wires that once covered his wrists during his four years of hell.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which commemorates the 1945 Soviet Red Army liberation of the Auschwitz death camp, is on Jan. 27. But the Morris Plains, NJ, resident explained that, “For me, every day is my Holocaust Day.”

We forget at our own peril. Only a Gooferment can exterminate human beings on such a horrific scale.

To the “deniers”, this man’s, and other’s, testimony, puts them to shame.

To those who would deny anyone’s humanity, or human rights, regardless of which minority they belong to — and we are ALL a minority in some way or another — just needs to see the logical result of their stupidity.
