Lockstep: Digital ID, Canada’s Tyranny Deadline, Christian Persecution Rises | Daily Pulse Ep 117

STORY #2 – Canada has given citizens one year to surrender their firearms, calling it a “voluntary” buyback. But the reality is clear—by October 2026, anyone who refuses will face criminal charges.

Officials claim no one is being forced, yet once the deadline passes, simply keeping your own property will make you a criminal. That isn’t voluntary—it’s mandatory thinly disguised as choice.

History leaves no room for doubt. The British disarmed the colonies before the Revolution. The Ottomans before the Armenian genocide. The Soviets and Cambodians before mass killings. Even Australia, long praised as a model, later sent soldiers into the streets during COVID—dragging citizens into quarantine camps against their will.

The warning is unmistakable: when governments disarm the people, freedom does not survive. The question now is whether Canadians will defend their rights—or watch history repeat itself on their own soil.

*** end quote ***

Adolph Hitler famously said, “To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens.”

“…if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
— Churchill, The Second World War, vol. 1, The Gathering Storm (London: Cassell, 1948, 272, on the British guarantee to Poland in Spring 1939.)

“Victim Disarmament” is the first step to the trains and death camps.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? . . .” — Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Look at England and look at Australia.

How many genocides do we have to have in recorded history before we learn the lesson?

Let’s itemize some.  Just off the top of my head:

  • The genocide of the American Indians glorified in Hollywood films
  • The people of Melos were slaughtered after refusing to surrender to the Athenians during the Peloponnesian War (learned that in High School)
  • The massacre of Cathari during the Albigensian Crusade in the 13th century (also High School)
  • 1915 Armenian massacre by the Turkish-led Ottoman Empire (learned from Armenian neighbors)
  • Nearly complete extermination of European Jews, Roma Gypsies, and other groups by Nazi Germany during World War II (from neighbors who survived)
  • the killing of some three million Cambodians by the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s
  • the killing of Tutsi by Hutu in Rwanda in the 1990s.
  • The Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein, for example, portrayed its use of chemical warfare against the Kurds in the 1980s
  • The slaughter in former Yugoslavia
  • Killings in the Darfur region of western Sudan.
  • Myanmar persecution of its Rohingya Muslim minority.
  • The Yazidi genocide was perpetrated by the Islamic State
  • Persecution of Uyghurs in China
  • Stalin’s starvation of the Ukrainians

Right down to present day … …

… … both Israel and Hamas fighting to control of the Gaza Strip and killing innocent women and children.

Sorry, but giving up your guns to any gang is a recipe for disaster.  Even if that gang is the Gooferment!

Gun Rights are the palladium of rights  —  the God given right of self-defense!

GOVERNACIDE: Are Canada’s “assisted suicide laws nothing more than “eugenics” nothing more than murder by Gooferment

Terrifying new details of Canada’s advancing assisted suicide laws… including push to euthanize newborn BABIES
By GERMANIA RODRIGUEZ POLEO, US CHIEF REPORTER
Published: 10:02 EDT, 25 August 2025 | Updated: 10:25 EDT, 25 August 2025

Canada’s assisted suicide laws have continued rapidly expanding in recent years, with a group of doctors now pushing for disabled newborn babies to be euthanized.

The demand for euthanasia is so high that doctors who provide it cannot keep up, according to a new report by The Atlantic.

Assisted dying, legalized in 2016, now accounts for about one out of 20 deaths in Canada, far surpassing countries where it’s been legal for longer.

*** and ***

Canada’s road to allowing euthanasia began in 2015, when its top court declared that outlawing assisted suicide deprived people of their dignity and autonomy. It gave national leaders a year to draft legislation.

The resulting 2016 law legalized both euthanasia and assisted suicide for people aged 18 and over, provided they met certain conditions.

They had to have a serious, advanced condition, disease, or disability that was causing suffering and their death was looming.

The law was later amended to allow people who are not terminally ill to choose death, significantly broadening the number of eligible people.

Critics say that change removed a key safeguard aimed at protecting people with potentially decades of life left.

Today, any adult with a serious illness, disease, or disability can seek help in dying.

The Return of Eugenics

By Robert Weissberg  —  August 25, 2025

*** begin quote ***

If one word is guaranteed to enrage the woke mob, it is eugenics, a term conjuring up images of Hitler, the Holocaust, white supremacy, and sterilizing the feeble-minded. Yet, despite the odium surrounding “eugenics,” it is, paradoxically, making a comeback thanks to medical advances, not the rise of right-wing ideology. Vast sums are currently being invested in firms to promote eugenics, but the term “eugenics” is never uttered.

Recent newspaper stories recount how parents employ cutting-edge scientific advances in genetics to have the best possible children while avoiding deadly genetic defects like cystic fibrosis. A New York Post story – “Silicon Valley Parents Spend Thousands to Screen Embryos in Search of ‘Baby Geniuses’” — recounted parents spending upwards of $50,000 to screen embryos to discover one with the best genes for intelligence prior to fertilizing it, and then via In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) implanting it in the woman’s womb. The Post story mentions two intelligence screening start-ups — Nucleus Genomics and Heraslight — both funded by major Silicon Valley entrepreneurs.

A particularly successful illustration of this new eugenics is Orchid Health headed by Noor Siddiqui with thousands of clients thanks to its 100 U.S. clinics, a figure that doubled from the previous year. Given the complexity of human genetics, Orchid Heath’s claims to use as few as five cells from the mother’s embryo to develop a “polygenetic risk score” to predict a child’s future chances for some 1200 single-gene disorders plus more complex polygenetic illnesses such as bipolar disorder, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease. According to its mother, one of Elon Musk’s children was from an embryo screened by Orchid Heath and, at Musk’s request, the embryo was screened for intelligence (the firm does not usually screen for intelligence but will do it on request).

*** end quote ***

As gun-owning pro-life pro-choice little L libertarian, I find this deplorable.  And, interesting that two stories come to light on the issue from different authors and perspectives.

Are we so full of hubris that we can be like the ancient Aztecs, who sacrificed children to appease their “gods”.  What “god” are we appeasing?

Often I see uplifting stories about “disabled children” who grow up and have “good” lives.

And, how do these babies give their “informed consent”?  Or those with confirmed “mental illnesses”?

Sorry but this is murder or maybe even genocide when you take into account abortions!

My favorite analogy or metaphor is what if we are killing the “golden child”?

https://reinkefaceslife.com/2010/02/26/political-right-to-life/

*** begin quote ***

My greatest fear is that we will kill “the Golden Child”. In Will Crowther’s Colossal Cave Adventure game, if you killed the bird in Cave #7, you never could proceed past the snake in Cave #11. (Although it was funny to see smart engineers trying “stuff” when it was impossible to proceed.) What if the potential person that’s killed is the next Salk who will cure cancer, the next Hawkings who will explain the Universe, or the next Mother Teresa who will comfort untold number of sufferers?

*** end quote ***

If we “believe” that all humans have “rights”, and we can argue about when those rights INURE to any person (i.e., conception; birth; when they can assert them; when they can fight for them), when does our civil society recognize those rights?

Sigh!

Otherwise we are nothing more than talented savages existing in a “might makes right” world.

The Nuremberg Code is a set of ethical principles for human experimentation established after World War II, emphasizing the necessity of voluntary consent and the moral obligation to protect human subjects in research.

And today’s medical professionals are transgressors and should be hung too.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is unscientific and killing birds for no good reason

Canada Orders Mass Culling of 400 Research Ostriches Over Bird Flu, Refuses to Test Surviving Birds for Natural Immunity

  • Farmers face fines and jail time for seeking independent testing as the Canadian Food Inspection Agency fights to reinstate the culling order.

Nicolas Hulscher, MPH  —  Mar 11, 2025

*** begin quote ***

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has ordered the culling of 400 ostriches at Universal Ostrich Farm in British Columbia, citing concerns over H5N1 bird flu. However, this decision is not based on sound science and could have serious consequences for both food security and medical research.

*** and ***

Lack of Transparency and Scientific Process – Despite the importance of this research, the CFIA has refused to conduct further testing on the birds and has banned the farm from conducting its own tests, under threat of heavy fines and possible imprisonment. Why is the Canadian government refusing to study the potential antibodies ostriches have developed against H5N1 bird flu?

*** end quote ***

One has to wonder where the Gooferment gets off on its “wild goose”  —  in this case ostrich — chases?

I can imagine a conference room fill of bureaucrats sitting around trying to justify their paychecks.  Hard to imagine ANY value coming out of that room.

In the mean time, the farmers on the ground are in a much better position to dictate the course of action.

Argh!

I hate politicians and bureaucrats.

Missing hiker found alive after 50 days in Canadian wilderness where temperatures dropped below 0: ‘Unbelievable’

A young hiker lost in the volatile Canadian wilderness for more than a month was found alive Tuesday after weeks of desperate searching, according to reports.

Sam Benastick, 20, was found hobbling down a service road in British Columbia’s Redfern-Keily Provincial Park, where he had been reported missing after failing to return home from a 10-day hiking trip on October 17, according to CBC News.

*** end quote ***

Is that a record of some type?

No details of what he did right and wrong.  Clearly, he was either very lucky or had some great skills.

I’d like to know what he was carrying and doing while “lost”.   And, of course, who pays for the search and rescue?

A 16-year-old girl who went missing after getting separated from her hiking group in the Canadian wilderness was found safe after a frantic 54-hour search, officials said.

Esther Wang was found in Golden Ears Park in British Columbia, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Friday.

“She is healthy, she is happy and she is with family,” RCMP Superintendent Wendy Mehat said in a statement.

Happy ending and a great survival story. Apparently well prepared and didn’t panic. Figured her own way out. Very impressive. Not sure I’d do as well.

GUNS: It seems when you go out into the “wild” that you can no longer assume that you are the predator; you might be the prey

Science, Biology
A Coyote Unexpectedly Killed a Human in 2009. Scientists Now Know Why

  • It’s likely due to an unexpected dietary adaptation.

Monisha Ravisetti
Dec. 12, 2022 3:27 p.m. PT

*** begin quote ***

In 2009, 19-year-old folk singer Taylor Mitchell was attacked by a pack of coyotes while on a hike at the Cape Breton Highlands National Park in Canada. She was just about to start the popular Skyline Trail when climbers in the area saw the animals close-in, unprovoked.

*** and ***

“These coyotes are doing what coyotes do, which is, when their first or second choice of prey isn’t available, they’re going to explore and experiment and change their search range,” Gehrt said. “They’re adaptable, and that is the key to their success.”

From those movement devices, the team tested to see whether coyotes in the park were just familiar with people. However, patterns showed that the animals largely avoided areas of the park frequented by people. Instead, they preferred walking around at night.

“The lines of evidence suggest that this was a resource-poor area with really extreme environments that forced these very adaptable animals to expand their behavior,” Gehrt said. Or as the paper puts it, “our results suggest extreme unprovoked predatory attacks by coyotes on people are likely to be quite rare and associated with unique ecological characteristics.”

*** end quote ***

Hard to imagine that a pack of coyotes could take down a human, IF (BIG IF) that human was armed.

While I’d be most afraid of running into a bear, I’d like to be prepared.  I’d be most comfortable with my COLT 1911 45.  I think that would discourage most predators — permanently.

With nine in a magazine, and at close range — say 10 feet — I’m pretty (overconfident) that I could his the target.  Especially if it was moving towards me.  I’d also assume that the predator would not like the loud noise, flash, and smoke.

I figure that I could deal with any “no hunting” objections as long as I was still alive to dispute them.

Seriously, why would you be so naïve as to think you don’t need protection.  Back in the 70’s, in Nevada, away form the cities, I saw most folks packing some sort of firearm,  At a gas station, I ask one attendant why he was pack in at the gas pump.  I expected “crime” as the answer; “rattlesnakes” was the reply.  “They ain’t afraid of humans; horses yes, humans no”.  I filed that away in my memory banks and correctly answered the question in USAF survival school: “What animal is most dangerous to a human alone in a survival situation?”  Not bad for a city boy and I shot expert too; guess I had watched too many westerns.

YMMV but preparation beats regrets.

RANT: Bill Maher is right “we are all NOT in it together”

Maher on Canada Protests: There’s an Accurate View That Some Can Afford to Stay Home and Others Who Can’t
IAN HANCHETT — 11 Feb 2022

*** begin quote ***

Maher stated, “I thought, like during the pandemic, I talked about this many times, we would see these ads, we are all in it together. And I’d think, no, we’re not. There are some people who stay home and some people who bring them the food. If you’re just ordering Amazon and you don’t ever have to go out and your job, you can do remotely — but who’s bringing the Amazon things? The trucker.”

*** end quote ***

Like my feelings about Piers Morgan, I am finding myself more and more agreeing with Bill Maher more and more.

I think that these politicians and bureaucrats who say “we are all in it together” are just peddling more “barbara streisand”!

I guess my views are becoming more into alignment with these guys calling the hypocrites out.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Zero the corporate tax rate

Your Penny Toward a Whopper
By James Wilson

*** begin quote ***

I’m angered that Burger King has fled to Canada as a tax shelter. But I’m not angered at Burger King, which has only done what it thinks is best for its shareholders. I am, rather, angered at YOU. It isn’t Burger King that created the HIGHEST CORPORATE INCOME TAX in the world. YOU did that. And I DO NOT CONSENT!

*** end quote ***

“Corporations are merely tax collectors; not taxpayers. They merely pass their costs along.” Lawrence Alan “Larry” Kudlow is an American economist, television personality, and newspaper columnist. August 26, 2014 0830 on WMAL Mornings on the Mall Brian Wilson and Larry O’Connor

Essentially, taxing corporations hides the tax load on individuals. That’s one of the purposes of Big Gooferment is conceal how much tax we individuals are really paying. IF we knew, then the tax revolts would really start.

Add to that, the OTHER taxes that corporations pay (e.g., gas; utility; FICA for employees; “real estate”) also get passed along in their products. So when I go to the supermarket and buy a can of beans, I can’t tell how much of the price is cost of the beans, the cost to put the beans in the can, the cost of getting the can on the shelf, and the taxes paid along the way. It’s incalculable. And you politicians just love it that way.

Also, there is a another hidden layer of taxes buried in that can of beans, all of the costs of capital investment have taxes hidden in. Campbells buys a new machine to put beans in the can; how much in taxes is buried in that cost? Don’t forget the gas tax for the truck that delivered it. All buried.

Even worse is that the result of corporate taxes fall on the poor because they have spend to survive, those on fixed income who should be getting a break, families who have to spend, and the illegals who don’t get the full benefit of the taxes they are paying.

Bottom line: Only “real people” pay taxes.

My bottom line: I believe folks would be in revolt if they really knew how much in taxes they are paying.

Zero the corporate taxes. Cut the size of government.

POLITICAL: Canada starts to align retirement age with life expectancy; why can’t we?

Friday, March 30, 2012

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/canada-raise-retirement-age-67-report-184156915.html

Canada ups retirement age in bid to balance budget
By Michel Comte | AFP

*** begin quote ***

Canada’s center-right government called for the retirement age to be raised and for major public service cuts Thursday, in an austerity budget that aims to balance the books by 2016.

Tackling unpopular measures that many industrialized countries are being forced to consider as their populations age, the Canadian government said its budget would help the country move a step ahead.

“Other Western countries face the risk of long-term economic decline. We have a rare opportunity to position our country for sustainable, long-term growth,” Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said in the House of Commons.

*** and ***

Flaherty said old age security and guaranteed income supplement benefits worth up to a total of Can$15,000 and now paid out at age 65 would be offered only at age 67, starting in 2023.

He also announced the withdrawal of the Canadian penny from circulation later this year, saying it costs more to produce than its face value. The move will save the government Can$11 million annually.

*** end quote ***

Seems a simple modest change. Will it make THAT much difference to folks who are 55 now.

I’d prefer something a little more dramatic at a much earlier age. Like 40’s go till they are 70. 30’s go to 75. 20’s go to 80.

And an annual “mark to market”. Remember life expectancy is supposed to top 100 in our life time.

I’d index it to inflation and means test it. If you’ve got 10M$, then you shouldn’t need the dole. Spend down to 10 and climb aboard.

Of course, ideally, everyone would be responsible for their own retirement. Like it was in the old days.

But then we were a free country!
