Wednesday, December 7, 2016A sad day in the USA’s history. Caused by the treachery of FDR. A lot of death, dismemberments, and disruptions. Caused the Baby Boom and all its associated problems. Disrupted families for decades to come. I feel that it changed my life and my attitude towards life at a very very young age. It certainly changed the USA by empowering Big Gooferment. And, it all could have been avoid if the various leaders were less egotistical and manipulative.
Requiescat In Pacem to the people that died there on that day.
A special place in Hell for the politicians and bureaucrats.

Obama began using his 068 number in 1986, the year after he moved to Chicago. Did good neighbor Ayers lend him a Connecticut social security number? To me, this seems a more likely explanation than a typographical error. Lacking the resources to probe further, however, I can only speculate.
The Times has no such excuse. Its editors have the resources. They simply choose not to employ them. From Obama’s first days on the national scene, in fact, the Times has shown itself oddly incurious about his past, his very identity for that matter.
In late October 2007, for instance, the Times ran a telling article headlined, “Obama’s Account of New York Years Often Differs From What Others Say.” Given that he was a candidate for president, the Times expected Obama to welcome the chance to reconcile his account in his 1995 memoir, Dreams from My Father, with the accounts of those who knew him.
“Yet he declined repeated requests to talk about his New York years, release his Columbia transcript or identify even a single fellow student, co-worker, roommate or friend from those years,” reported the Times’ Janny Scott. For reasons unexplained, she and her editors chose to leave this particular hole in Obama’s life unfilled.

3. An unidentified man saved the lives of several people inside the Farah Barber Shop in West Philadelphia, Pa., by shooting a 40-year-old gunman on March 22, 2015, police told NBC 10. Several people, including children, were inside the shop when the man took out a gun and opened fire. Fortunately, a passer-by pulled out his gun, ran into the shop and shot the gunman before he could kill anyone.
“The person who responded was a legal gun permit carrier,” Philadelphia Police Captain Frank Llewellyn told NBC 10. “He responded and I guess he saved a lot of people in there.”

“I guess” is pretty wishy washy. It would seem obvious that he did save a lot of lives.

6. An armed likely prevented a shooting rampage at Bonnie’s Food and Spirits, a bar in Plymouth, Pa., in September 2012. William Allabaugh shot a man in the head after being asked to leave the establishment. Mark Kytor stopped Allabaugh by drawing his gun and shooting him. Kytor may have saved many lives because police found an extra clip of ammunition in Allabaugh’s pants, The Citizens Voice reported.

Typically inaccurate reporting. I would assume the shooter had an extra magazine, not a clip. I guess it’s too much to expect the news media to at least be a little familiar with the difference. “This is my rifle. This is my gun. This is for fighting.”

Ever wonder why Star Wars decided to make Mary Sue character Rey their main focus for The Force Awakens? Well, according to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy it’s because male Star Wars fans don’t need to be catered to anymore.
Kennedy was chosen to replace George Lucas, the creator of Lucasfilm and Star Wars, when Disney bought the studio in 2012. Since then she has done a fantastic job running the studio, to the tune of $2 billion in revenue from The Force Awakens and over $3 million in merchandise.
In an interview with the New York Times, Kennedy addressed her decision to cast a female lead in her second movie in charge, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. “I have a responsibility to the company that I work with. I don’t feel that I have a responsibility to cater in some way [to those particular fans],” she said. “I would never just seize on saying, ‘Well, this is a franchise that’s appealed primarily to men for many, many years, and therefore I owe men something.’”

So, for a similar reason that I don’t watch Jane Fonda movies, I won’t be seeing this one.
Hope she feels the loss of “Male” dollars at the box office.
