Seeds for Hypertension

Extraordinary results reported in a rare example of a double-blinded, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of a dietary intervention (flaxseeds) to combat one of our leading killers, high blood pressure.

*** begin quote ***

Rarely do we see a dietary study of this caliber. A prospective, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, randomized trial—you know how hard that is in a nutrition study? For drugs it’s easy: you have two identical looking pills, one’s active, one’s placebo, and until the end of the study neither the researcher nor the patient has any idea which is which, hence double blind. But people tend to notice what they’re eating. So how did they sneak a quarter cup of ground flax seeds into half of the people’s diets without them knowing? They created all these various flax or placebo containing foods, and even added like bran and molasses to match the color and texture so it was all a big secret until 6 months later when they broke the code to see who ate which.

*** end quote ***

With no side effects.

Seems like a good idea to me.

I’ll try it.

What’s to lose?

POLITICAL: Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Case Snares Bill Clinton

Will The Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Case Snare Clinton?
Is This The Scandal That Ends Hillary

*** begin quote ***

Is this the scandal that ends Hillary’s campaign? Former President Bill Clinton visited the hedonistic private island of a billionaire pedophile who police found was engaging girls as young as 12, multiple times. Now a new lawsuit may compel the former president to testify under oath about what he was doing there. The New York Post reported that Hillary is furious that Bill is mired in the scandal.

Democrat mega donor and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein was tied by Palm Beach Police to as many as 40 underaged girls and allegedly provided minor girls to Prince Andrew and lawyer Alan Dershowitz, among others. Now, a lawsuit to overturn a secret and controversial sealed wrist slap plea deal that got Epstein a mere 15 months in a Palm Beach Halfway house, may reveal what Clinton was doing on the island and why Clinton flew on Epstein’s plane 10 times to party abroad, according to FAA Logs. One woman abused on the island by Epstein told the UK Daily Mail Clinton was provided with two women “no older than 17″ when he visited Epstein’s island.

A lawsuit to overturn the secret plea and a secondary defamation suit deal filed by a respected former Judge and a Fort Lauderdale lawyer may force Dershowitz to testify, and could rope in Bill Clinton.

 *** and ***

A few nights ago on FOX, Ann Coulter spoke the truth on the Jeffrey Epstein case. She hit the nail on the head when she said, “This is the elites circling the wagon and protecting a pederast.”

Let’s take Coulter’s observations a step further: the Epstein case is about the pedophile elite VIP friends of Jeffrey Epstein circling the wagons and protecting not just Jeffrey Epstein, but themselves.

“Elitism” is really about people who believe, because they have huge amounts of power, money, and connections, that the rules of society that the common man or woman must follow do not apply to them. Jeffrey Epstein was running a well- organized sex trafficking ring that provided underage girls for himself and his pedophile friends, many of whom were VIP figures in business and politics with names you would recognize.

*** and ***

All stories like this have a butler. In this case Epstein’s Butler Alfredo Rodriguez, who was arrested and did time for his role of paymaster to Epstein, marked up a copy of Epstein’s little black book for Palm Beach Police showing who Epstein had pandered pre-teen girls to. The list, which I have seen, is mind blowing. It includes a former governor, a billionaire Republican donor, a Prime Minister, a former Senate Majority Leader, a well known lawyer, royalty, socialites and scientists. Kingpin sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s take on all this?: “I’m not a sexual predator, I’m an ‘offender.’ It’s the difference between a murderer and a person who steals a bagel.”

*** end quote ***

Really!

Remember innocent until PROVEN guilty. Provided that the Prosecutor didn’t take a dive! IF he did, then there’s no justice. And should be no peace.

We always “knew” the Bill was a pig and a moral disgrace.

How much Hillary knew, when did she know it, and what did she do about it?

(Is she still an “officer of the Court” with a law license?)

In any event, I’ve never trusted her since the details of WhiteWater (i.e., ripping off poor sometimes illiterate retirees with shady, sharp, and possibly illegal tactics) and cattle futures trading (i.e., disguised bribery).

Hopefully, this scandal gets me justice for the many (greater than 40) under age girls so molested.

And, every person involved should pay the price and be forever dismissed from being taken seriously.

Argh!

Massive Worldwide Layoff Underway At IBM
By Tekla Perry
Posted 3 Feb 2015 | 17:00 GMT

*** begin quote ***

Project Chrome, a massive layoff that IBM is pretending is not a massive layoff, is underway. First reported by Robert X. Cringely (a pen name) in Forbes, about 26 percent of the company’s global workforce is being shown the door. At more than 100,000 people, that makes it the largest mass layoff at any U.S. corporation in at least 20 years. Cringely wrote that notices have started going out, and most of the hundred-thousand-plus will likely be gone by the end of February.

 *** end quote ***

Most interesting is the lack of any comment by the political class in the “District of Corruption”, the various bureaucrats at EOE, FTC, SEC, or Labor, the “State” politicians, or the Big Media.

Wonder if this will show up on the radar of the phone DoL “unemployment numbers”.

I would point out about three years ago there was an IBM-er who said that in a few years IBM would reduce its US employment by 75%. I’m trying to find a source for that. I remember it because it was a topic of conversation with my “old friend”. He got the 3 treatment, but didn’t sue.

AS I have always ranted, the days of “personnel”, as opposed to “Human Resources”, is long over.

Will this give rise to the White Collar Union movement? If I was the AFL-CIO, then I’d be organizing.

It’s really time to move a contract workforce meme. Workers need protection form arbitrary “Resource Actions”.

In a truly “free market”, the Crony Capitalists have to compete for labor.

Clearly, anecdotally, it appears to be anti-US worker, anti-woman, and anti-age.

We’ll see if there is any reaction.

If I had a contract for service from IBM, then I’d be very afraid. Clearly, where is the work going to be done.

And BTW congrats to IBM for great optics for paying bonus and giving raises to the Executives while destroying people’s lives.

Argh!

Taylor Swift just tried to trademark “This Sick Beat.” Here’s why she can, and why it makes a whole lot of financial sense.

The internet almost exploded Thursday over news that pop star (and freshly minted New Yorker) Taylor Swift has trademarked the phrases “This Sick Beat,” “Nice to Meet You. Where You Been?,” and “Party Like It’s 1989,” among others.

Actually, that’s not quite true. Contrary to many reports, Swift has not yet been granted any of these trademarks—she’s merely applied for them and is awaiting approval by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

MONEY: Having a pantry and a garden might be a good hedge for the future

Survivalist, Prepper or Housewife?
by Katherine Grossman • November 4, 2012

*** begin quote ***

The average American housewife for most of the 20th century didn’t work for wages. Food, clothing and shelter were her specialties. She knew how to cook, sew family clothing, kill and dress a chicken and get by without electricity or indoor plumbing if she had to. She had a full pantry, backyard garden, raised her own children and had plenty of time for her outside interests and community. She also didn’t have a car payment, a TV, credit card debt and managed to marry and stay married.

The average American housewife from 1920 – 1970 would today be considered a survivalist. For many of you reading this, your great-grandma was a hard-core prepper.

*** end quote ***
I humorously shared this with all the “gals” I know.

I remember my Great Aunt Marion and her basement full of “stuff” — wrote about it in CHURCH. It was impressive.

I was told that my paternal Grandmother Reinke in Portland had a prodigious pantry, “root cellar”, and “cold storage” that was under her log cabin house and it was actually bigger than the house. This was the woman who didn’t have electricity until the 50’s and a frider until the 60’s.

I often rant on my blog that it takes “two income families” today because one person works to pay the taxes.

Not sure if we can EVER regain our lost freedoms. Not sure if we can ever get back to simpler times. But, I am sure that there will be hard times ahead.

Having a pantry and a garden might be a good hedge to have.

(Marge François is the only one I know who has the knowledge and skills to pull that off. Maybe I can induce her to move to New Hampshire and join Kelly’s Dad raising more that purple potatoes.)

Laugh.

TINFOILHAT: Titanic Coverup Unravels

The Titanic Coverup Unravels
By Christopher Condon
January 29, 2015

*** begin quote ***

Gerhard Wisnewski is a German writer of non-fiction books and articles. He writes in the German language and his books are widely read in the German-speaking countries. He has written a number of successful books, many of them dealing with what are popularly termed conspiracy theories. One of his recent books, entitled Das Titanic Attentat (“The Titanic Murder”), is about the sinking of the Titanic in April, 1912. Unlike some of his books, it is not available in English translation but is definitely worth reading if you know German.

According to the conventional version, the mighty but overconfident Titanic accidentally struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic on its maiden voyage from Europe to New York. The collision tore a hole in the ship’s hull and caused it to sink with a huge loss of life. For a long time, it was difficult to challenge this official version because the best evidence, the sunken ship itself, had permanently settled in one of the deepest areas of the Atlantic Ocean, too deep to be accessible to investigators. (Incidentally, if the Titanic had sunk just a few miles to the west of where it actually sank, it would have wound up in much shallower waters where it would have been possible, even in 1912, to get to the wreckage.) Advancements in technology, however, finally made it possible to reach the Titanic in 1985 and to photograph and otherwise examine the wreckage. The new evidence that has emerged from this and from other sources has prompted Wisnewski to rethink the traditional story and to raise some disturbing questions.

  • Why did the crew make no effort to plug the leak in the Titanic, something sailors are trained to do?
  • Why did the Titanic deliberately sail into a field of icebergs?
  • Why have none of the photographs taken of the Titanic since 1985 found much damage that could be attributed to an iceberg?
  • Why did the Titanic’s crew throw an especially lavish party on the night of the disaster, a party that made many passengers and crewmembers drunk?
  • What happened to the Titanic’s logs and nautical maps? After the Titanic allegedly hit an iceberg, the crew still had 2.5 hours to save them, yet failed to do so, offering the excuse that even 2.5 hours was not enough. A few years later, however, the Lusitania was hit by a torpedo and sank in 18 minutes, yet its crew still managed to save most of these things.
  • Why did so many passengers cancel their reservations at the last minute, including some close associates of the owner, J.P. Morgan? The cancellation was especially puzzling in the case of Mr. and Mrs. J. Horace Harding. The Hardings said that they had suddenly realized that they were in a hurry to get to New York, so they switched their reservations to the Mauretania, which was scheduled to leave Europe sooner. Apparently the Hardings had not read the timetables very closely, because although the Mauretania did indeed leave Europe sooner, it also arrived in New York later.
  • What happened to Luis Klein, a surviving crewmember and native Hungarian of the Jewish faith? After the disaster, Klein had been outspoken in his criticism of the Titanic’s captain and top crewmembers. Perhaps for this reason, he was called to testify before the US Senate. Unfortunately, on the day before he was to do so, Klein disappeared from his Washington hotel room and was never seen again.
  • After the alleged collision with the iceberg, why did the Titanic’s crew members hasten the ship’s demise by making almost every conceivable mistake?
  • Why was no effort made to delay the sinking of the Titanic by jettisoning the anchor and chains? The anchor alone weighed 50 tons.
  • Why were the sleeping passengers not awakened?
  • Why did Captain Edward John Smith commit a criminal offense by sailing his ship for days with an unextinguished fire in his ship’s coal bunker? Why did he sign a false statement in Southampton, England denying the existence of this fire?
  • Why did it take the crew 2 hours to lower all the Titanic’s lifeboats into the water when they could have done it in 1 hour?
  • Before the Titanic could deploy any of its own lifeboats, there were already lifeboats in the water that could not have come from the Titanic. From which ship did these lifeboats come? From the mysterious ship that was spotted in the distance but never identified? What was the name of that ship and why did it not come to the Titanic’s rescue?
  • Why did the Titanic crew not follow the custom of giving priority to the passengers over themselves?
  • How did a collision with an iceberg cause the Titanic to sink? Ships frequently collide with icebergs, yet rarely sink, and almost never as fast as the Titanic sank.
  • What caused the Titanic to break in half shortly before it sank? Could the breakup of the Titanic have been caused by the two explosions heard minutes before?
  • Why were the Titanic’s crew members as well as many of the surviving passengers threatened with dire consequences if they talked to reporters and investigators?
  • Why did many crewmembers quit the Titanic after the ship’s first stop in Cherbourg, France rather than complete the voyage to New York?
  • Why did the men who had been working in the Titanic’s boiler room quit and take new jobs as bricklayers before they could tell their story to government investigators?

*** and ***

Advancements in deep sea technology are making it possible to probe more and more deeply into this mystery. In recent times, for example, investigators have started to focus their attention on the four-foot-high iron letters on the bow of the ship that spell out “Titanic.” From the preliminary examination of this lettering, it appears as though these letters were fastened on top of still other letters, suggesting that the ship may once have had another name. Two of the letters have fallen off the wreck and probably disappeared forever. Underneath these letters are the letters M and P, letters which could have helped to spell out “Olympic.” Unfortunately, the other letters are rather difficult to decipher and could be interpreted in any number of ways.

There are discrepancies between what we know of the ship on the bottom of the Atlantic and the Titanic. The former appears to have been painted twice, the first time in grey and the second time in black. We know that the Olympic was painted twice, but to the best of our knowledge, the Titanic was painted only once and in black. Also, the ship on the bottom of the Atlantic was outfitted with an elaborate system to facilitate the deployment of lifeboats. To the best of our knowledge, the Olympic had such a system but the Titanic never did.

As technology progresses, we may someday know the full story of the Titanic disaster. It goes without saying that if Gerhard Wisnewski’s suspicions turn out to be correct, the reputation of J.P. Morgan will be forever destroyed.

*** end quote ***

WOW!

I never heard so many good unanswered questions about Titanic.

One should NEVER EVER trust the “story”.

Why can’t we ever get the “straight story”?

And, yet, I have a tin foil hat?

POLITICAL: The Ron Paul Curriculum and Gooferment Skrules

26 Reasons to Adopt the Ron Paul Curriculum Today (Not Next Term) . . . and 4 Not To

Ron Paul
Printer-Friendly Format

There are 26 reasons why this curriculum is what your teenage children (or grandchildren) need . . . starting today.

Reason #1: This curriculum helps you pass on your most important inheritance: your worldview. It is the only video-based, self-taught, reading-intensive, writing-intensive, online homeschool program that provides a systematic defense of limited government and the free market economy. I call this the freedom philosophy.

All of the other reasons are secondary to this one . . . even my 100% money-back guarantee. The war for your children’s minds begins early, but it becomes a high-stakes battle in middle school: sixth grade. Here, the textbooks begin the process of defending the modern state — the state which provides “free” education. Here is where millions of parents lose the battle. College is merely the “mopping up” operation. Before I get to the other reasons why your children need this curriculum, I want to go over the basics.

# – # – # – # – #

As you all know, I hate the Gooferment Skrules. Not just paying for them, but the “model” or meme of them.

The “American Gooferment Skrule” System is a direct lift of the Prussian (German) system to create cannon fodder for the Army, willing morons for the factories, and useful idiots to vote for and be led by the elite.

Question: Where do politicians and bureaucrats send there children?

Answer: Not to a Gooferment Skrule! Jimmie Carter, for all his flaws, sent Amy to “public school”. Ever hear of her again. But, I’m sure you’ve heard of the other President’s children!

So here’s a resource. Even if you don’t do the whole home school thing, then maybe you do it “after skrule”.

When I was in Good Shepherd, the Jewish kids — a few in the Catholic School with me and the ones who went to public school — would go to “Jewish School” from 3PM until 7PM during the school year and all day during the summer. Any wonder why they excelled?

YMMV and that’s why I have zero children.

Lastly, Attkisson reported to the OIG that a “suspicious” cable was attached to her Internet Service Provider’s connection box installed on her house. She opined to the OIG that perhaps this cable was being used to “tap” her house. Further investigation by the OIG revealed that the cable was a common cable used by the provider and could not be used to monitor or otherwise affect the phone or internet service at her residence.

And in response to Attkisson’s videotape of an alleged hacker deleting content from her computer screen, the report says that the activity was caused by “the back space key being stuck.”

Black Asphalt lets its 25,000 users compile and share detailed data on private motorists—whether they’ve done anything wrong or not—including addresses, social security numbers, information from traffic stops or interrogations, searches, etc. Information is shared informally without official oversight, and many of the reports end up in federal fusion centers where they can be shared with law enforcement agencies at all levels.

Desert Snow encourages users to provide data about their traffic stops by offering rewards and incentives. The more data an officer enters, the more rewards he earns. Desert Snow also holds an annual competition to recognize officers who have seized the most contraband. Top earners (to borrow a term from The Sopranos) are honored at Desert Snow’s annual conference.

The system appears to work. According to The Washington Post, police officers affiliated with Desert Snow reported seizing $427 million from traffic stops over a five-year period. In fact, Desert Snow’s methods are so lucrative, company personnel have even gotten in on the act. Last year, the Caddo County, Oklahoma, district attorney’s office contracted with Desert Snow employees to conduct interdiction operations on state highways. Working with local police officers, Desert Snow employees seized more than $1 million over six months. The firm retained 25 percent of the haul under the contract terms. Fortunately, the scheme was shut down after a local judge got wind of it and threatened to jail the Desert Snow employees who were involved.

RANT: When did “corporate america” change?

When did “corporate america” change into the uncaring ruthless quarterly profit beast it’s become?

Code of Conduct for the U.S. Fighting Force

*** begin quote ***

Article IVa. If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information nor take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.

*** end quote ***

This seemed so natural from my early days at AT&T.

When I was being managed, my supervisors were evaluated on how well they “developed” me.

When I was promoted to “management”, a full 50% of my evaluation was on how “my” people were progressing towards THEIR stated goals. Note: Not my goals for them or even the company’s goals for them.

Then came Employee Retirement Income Security Act — ERISA!

http://www.dol.gov/dol/topic/health-plans/erisa.htm

As a young “fat old white guy injurer”, I was aware of the changing landscape when I was in ingineering skrule.

Lockheed Corporation and Martin Marietta Corporation were big Engineering firms. But, we were warned against going to work for them because they were rumored (later sued) for dumping engineers out the door every five years to hire younger and cheaper engineers.

Out of this came the ERISA and the “five year pension vesting” rule.

This set off the “turnstile effect”. Every five years, people would move on to better jobs regardless if they wanted to or not. Collect those pensions.

At the same time, corporations began to shift from “Personnel Departments” to “Human Resources”.

And people became as expendable as pencils and screw drivers.

Argh!

Didn’t take very long for the “humans” being resourced to adopt an adversarial attitude towards their employers.

Took me a while to lose my AT&T trained behavior that I trusted my “leadership” to be my advocate.

That happened the first time I was “downsized” out of a job.

Luckily, I had the experience of taking a “golden handshake” from AT&T. So I dove right into the process. It didn’t hurt that they had to keep me on for six months to “transition” and “knowledge transfer”. (I learned from my exposure to the IEBW Union workers in NYC that one NEVER EVER tells anyone EVERYTHING that you know.)

After that experience, I never truly trusted a manager or a leader. Many of who were “good guys”, but one has to recognize that there are factors beyond their control. (Like the one job where the day I started, my new boss, his boss, and his boss’ boss were all nuked. For six weeks I was reporting to the CEO’s secretary with absolutely NOTHING to do.)

So, in my working career, “Corporate America” has morphed into “Crony Capitalism”, where politics, image, and political correctness have replaced results, honesty, and integrity.

It’s very sad,

I weep for the youngsters coming up behind us for the environment they are getting into.

Hence my constant preaching — save your money, don’t accumulate bad debt, be in your own business — which you are anyway — even if you’re a full time employee, and try to find 10 part-time jobs or 10 distinct income streams where the loss of any one doesn’t put you at risk of having to live in cardboard box.

MEME: The Concorde Fallacy

What Target Did Right in Canada
By Jim BlasingameGrowing Your BusinessPublished January 23, 2015FOXBusiness

*** begin quote ***

This story isn’t to call attention to the many things Target did wrong, but rather to highlight the one thing they did right: They did not become victims of the Concorde Fallacy.

In 1956, the British and French governments, along with aircraft and engine manufacturers, began the process of building a supersonic airliner. From the start the Concorde was plagued by prohibitive budget overruns. In fact, long before the wheels came up on the first commercial flight in 1976, the partnership knew the venture would never sustain itself financially. And yet they couldn’t bring themselves to shut it down.

By the last Concorde flight in 2003, the Anglo/French misadventure had become so legendary that evolutionary biologists coined the term, “Concorde Fallacy,” as a metaphor for when sticking with a troubled project costs more than starting over with a new alternative.

Ego and sovereign pride by the Concorde partnership caused the willing suspension of economic reason. Plus they failed to apply the lesson of sunk costs, which is that, “Any decision to continue a financially unviable project shouldn’t be based on what has already been spent.” In a small business, it might sound like this, “We’ve got too much invested to stop,” or “We just need to work harder.”

Pride can be productive or it can be a problem. Consider this handy admonition a mentor once gave me that I have named the Concorde Question: “Do you have a fighting chance or just a chance to fight?”

This is the best formulation of the problem of “sunken costs”.

Unfortunately, everyone, EVERYONE, thinks about the sunken cost, the lost opportunity, and looking bad.

Obama Drops Plan to Raise Taxes on ‘529’ College Savings Accounts

The Obama administration said it would drop a controversial plan to raise taxes on so-called 529 college-savings accounts, after the proposal sparked widespread criticism over its potential impact on the middle class.

House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday called publicly on the White House to withdraw its plan. Calls also were coming privately from leaders of the president’s own party.

RANT: Diktats and immunizations

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

FROM FACEBOOK

*** begin quote ***

It’s time in Illinois to pass a law that denies access to any school or any public space to families who decline to immunize their children. There should be no “personal belief waivers” ever for immunizations.

*** end quote ***

Take a look at Texas and “Gardisal” http://truthaboutgardasil.org/ AND you may wish to temper that particular “rush” to judgment.

(For the record, I am not anti vaccines. I am however for calm and reasoned discourse about them.)

We need more SCIENCE and less MARKETING . We need more EDUCATION and CHOICE; less PROPAGANDA, YELLING, and DIKTATS.

Parents don’t want sick children. And, vaccines have issues and risks.

That doesn’t mean ZERO vaccinations; nor does it mean dump them ALL into EVERY child regardless.

One size doesn’t fit all.

TAGONIST: Police makes civil asset seizures

Cities Budget Civil Asset Forfeiture As Part of their Funding

Since 2009, Washington, D.C. officers have made more than 12,000 civil asset seizures under city and federal laws, according to records and data obtained from the city by The Washington Post through the District’s open records law. Half of the more than $5.5 million in cash seizures were for $141 or less, with more than a thousand for less than $20. D.C. police have seized more than 1,000 cars, some for minor offenses allegedly committed by the children or friends of the vehicle owners, documents show. Any excuse to simply rob the people is in full bloom.

POLITICAL: Ignored Heroic Military

The Unquestioned, Ignored, Heroic Military
Lucy Steigerwald

What with its title, “The Tragic Decline of the American Military,” Atlantic Monthly’s January-February cover story at first blush appears to be a thoughtless pro-military screed. But in spite of that headline, and the cover asking “Why Does The Best Military in the World Keep Losing?” it isn’t a bad piece at all.

Author James Fallows isn’t making any edgy arguments here. He’s actually painfully pragmatic as he spells out the declining skills of military leadership due to politics. More interesting for readers of Antiwar.com, however, is Fallows mentioning the strange, thoughtless respect for the military that now permeates the American public.

The “young” easily buy into the nationalistic propaganda and “answer the nation’s call”.

Having done the oligarchy’s bidding and serving as “cannon fodder” for the military industrial complex that Ike warned us about, they return damaged.

(Remember the Prussian education system — that the USA imported hook, line, and sinker — had as its SOLE purpose was to create cannon fodder for the Army, willing morons for the factories, and useful idiots to vote for and be led by the elite!)

And, “the Nation” turns a collective “blind eye” to their situation.

Remember Heinlein’s Starship Troopers’ universe? One does not merely have the right to be a citizen and vote by virtue of what Heinlein called the mere accident of birth; rather, one has to earn this right through Federal Service that tested one’s ability and willingness to sacrifice for the greater good of the polity. Bet not a lot of vets would vote for all the undeclared wars the USA has been in since WW2?

That’s what “We, The Sheeple” have allowed the Gooferment’s politicians and bureaucrats to do in their name.

The response to this movie, and other of its ilk, is a recognition of exactly who the “bad guys” are in this morality play — the nation’s “leaders”.

Argh!

That’s why deflate-gate and all the other petty “news” is created — to distract us.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Thursday he doesn’t know how footballs became deflated during the game that got his team to the Super Bowl.

I believe him.

Solve it like the two children splitting a sandwich.

One cuts; the other picks.

So the NFL sets the specs for the balls and the teams exchange game balls.

End of problem. No muss. No fuss.

RANT: The State of the Union is propaganda

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

The State of the Union is propaganda.

The President panders to the left; the response panders to the right.

Proposing more taxes and more spending is a loser. With the R’s in control of the House, I’d be ASTONISHED if any new or increase in taxes passes.

In actuality, the deficit and the debt as a percentage of GDP has improved slightly. No thanks to anything the Gooferment, politicians, or bureaucrats did.

Argh!

The “unemployment rate” as pushed by the elite and the lapdog media is a joke. Look at the participation rate. Look at the disability rolls. Shadow Stats says that U6 is 23%. That’s one out of four territory. Black youth unemployment is 50%.

Time for some changes in the District of Corruption and it’s not increasing taxes!

Will China Pull a “Switzerland” on the US Dollar? (Video)
JANUARY 17, 2015  BY MIKE FINGER

*** begin quote ***

In his first Schiff Report video of the year, Peter Schiff explains the Swiss news that rattled the foreign exchange markets this week. Peter had predicted that Switzerland would eventually be forced to drop its euro peg, just as he’s been warning that countries like China will be forced to abandon their ties to a weakening US dollar. If investors don’t want to experience even worse losses than Europeans were hit with this week, they need to start preparing for a dollar crisis. Gold has performed very well this year, even while the US dollar and stock market moved higher, which Peter sees as an indicator that a new bull trend has started in precious metals.

Poor people in China subsidizes the American dollar.

Clearly, this is going to mean more inflation.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Obama to Propose Tax Increases

Sunday, January 18, 2015

WSJ: Obama to Propose Tax Increases on Investments, Inherited Property

President Barack Obama will call on the new Republican-led Congress to raise taxes on investments and inherited property and to create or expand a range of tax breaks for middle-income families, laying out an opening position in a debate over taxation that both parties see as a potential area of compromise.

Mr. Obama will outline the measures in his State of the Union address Tuesday night. He will propose using revenue generated from the tax increases–which would fall mainly on high-income households–to pay for a raft of new breaks aimed at boosting stagnant incomes for low- and middle-income households.

# – # – # – # – #

What an idiot!

Do you want less investments?

Do you want fewer family farms?

Do you want smaller inheritances?

Tax something and you get less of it.

AND, the “fat cats” will still figure out loopholes.

Dumb, dumber, and dumbest.

Shrink the bloated Federal Gooferment.

Reduce taxes on EVERYONE!
