RANT: Veteran’s Day

Sunday, November 11, 2012

RESPONDING TO BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY WISHING ALL VETS GOOD THOUGHTS FOR FIGHTING “FOR US” POSTED ON FACEBOOK.

Dearest Amy: As a Vet, who never really left the continental US, it’s only the “for us” that I have a problem with. Many times, say since 1860, but most definitely since 1900’s, and most recently in VietNam, as well as all the wars recently including Iraq, AfPAk, Libya, and on and on, have not been “FOR US”. Our political leadership have used the military as a tool for their own personal ends.

It’s a national disgrace when we have to have a “wound warriors” charity to take care of the women and men sent in our name for an unagreed ill-considered stupidity. (You know I’m a Ron Paul advocate.) We should have and should be bring every one of the boys and girls home. NOW!

I really laugh when politicians run as “peace candidates”. Even funnier, is when they say it with a straight face. Our leader’s foreign policy is to kill people. Even American’s. In cold blood, without even so much as an acknowledgement. “Collateral damage”.

The supposed anti-war movement of my generation and current is nothing more than an astro-turf wing of the liberal socialists in the Democratic Party. At least, the Republicans, with the exception of ROn Paul and the now small Taft-ing of the party, don’t even pretend to be at peace.

Finally, no one seems to see that via a policy of “abortion as birth control”, the USA has committed a genocide on itself. With an welfare / warfare state, the USA has impoverished future generations with a debt that can never be paid off. With a dumbed down State Indoctrination system called “publik eddykation”, the USA has become too stupid to think for itself. With Obamacare, you’ll now have the “best” of Soviet style medicine for the elite.

I’m sorry that past generations, including me, have failed to preserve the USA as the land of opportunity. For that, I apologize and wish you youngsters all the best in fixing our stupidity.

RANT: The election results sadden me

Thursday, November 8, 2012

Huge unemployment, record numbers not working, welfare at an all time high.

Debt soaring, deficits increasing, fiscal irresponsibility.

Foreign policy in shambles. More wars, less peace.

Lying, cover ups, media bias.

Assault on the First, Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth Amendments.

Corruption and fraud in the elections.

Obamacare fundamentally seizes control of healthcare. Death panels start killing us. Cost exponentially increase.

Pro-Life and Catholic values rejected. Marriage redefined. I am taxed to fund activities I deem abhorrent and immoral.

A second term of even more radical action can be expected.

Sorry, but the American Experiment in Liberty is traveling down the road to ruin.

If anything, this election convinces me more that we have to figure out how to secede.

Looks like, things are going to get much much worse. As the takers have outvoted the makers. And, like the nursery story, The Little Red Hen, the producers have no incentive to cooperate in the theft of the fruits of their labors.

I’d predict that the “productive class” will coast and the economic will get even worse.

I just don’t understand the logic.

But, I will not be abused. I will not be robbed, I will not kneel.

I do NOT consent.

RANT: Yeah, I’m one of “We, The Sheeple”

Saturday, November 3, 2012

Dear Usual:

Re: @0715 Tyne — just to confirm trip to 51f is off. I’m still torqued, but Jill’s email convinced me to “pick another battle”

Last night at midnight when I drove past the long gas lines, after I had read my shore neighbor’s email during a rest break, I made a decision to wimp out. I send out “stand down” messages to the “patrol” that was going to “support” my assault on Seaside Heights. I was fully expecting to get arrested.

But somewhere inside my inner cowardice took over and, with a typical Oregonian attitude, “why bother”? Earlier in the day, after my shore plumber told me not to worry about freezing pipes (i.e., one of the big missions was to open the crawlspace main drain in a lame attempt to save the water pipes). He said the first hard freeze doesn’t come until December and, with no pressure on in the house, damage was in his opinion unlikely). (He also as much as said that I could do more damage messing around with “his plumbing”. LOL! It’s everyone’s house but mine.)

My shorts are still in knot because armed men masquerading as “the police” with orders from the gang calling itself the “town council of Seaside Heights” and “Ocean County” have stolen my property. That I’ve paid extortion called “property taxes” for more than 30 years. What do you call when men dressed in funny clothes with guns prevent you from getting to your land? Sorry but it’s just another day in the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee. Differs from North Korea only by degree.

Note the “gas rationing” by the supposedly Republican Governor of the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee!

Note that supposed rational of this “martial law” order is that it’s “too dangerous”. Look at the videos. Not to dangerous for TV reporters with their generators and truck. “Authorized workers”. Owners of the boardwalk businesses. People who rode out the storm. And, various people seen in the background loading cars from their properties. Note the way the “Chief of Police of SSH” talks to an upset property owner. Like an arrogant ruler to a subject; not an employee to his boss who pays his salary.

Note that NO WHERE ELSE in the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzeeare property owners denied access. Not Ac. Not LBI. Nowhere.

And, in my neighbor’s email, she cites that they haven’t been able to control looting. People are stealing boats in Toms River to go over and loot from the devastation.

I always knew that the Gooferment was oppressive. This time its boot came down a little too hard and a little too obvious.

When my 65th birthday came and went, I figured out that I could then sign up for the Free State Project. I did; now I’m really glad I did.

“Live free or die”,
fjohn

p.s.: I’ll be opening up “wimpy@reinke.cc” to receive abuse and “I told you so’s”! Argh!

Rory McIlroy’s mistake as Europe steal Ryder Cup after tee-time error
Late scare for Ulsterman but Europeans pull off Miracle at Medinah
By PATRICK COUNIHAN, IrishCentral Staff Writer

Rory McIlroy was brought to Medinah in a police car – as Europe stole the Ryder Cup from under American noses!

Television coverage listed his start time at 12:25pm but that referred to Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is 11:25am Central Time (CT).

He said: “I was just casually strolling out of my hotel room when I got a phone call saying you have 25 minutes.

“I have never been so worried driving to the course. Luckily there was a State Trooper outside who gave me the escort, if not I would not have made it on time.”

Officials confirmed that if McIlroy was two minutes late he would have forfeited the opening hole while five minutes late, he faced disqualification.

RANT: Obama White House’s cronyism

Thursday, August 16, 2012

Did White House Commit Perjury About GM Bailout?
Posted 08/07/2012 06:55 PM ET

*** begin quote ***

Cronyism: In recent days, the scope of the Obama White House’s cronyism has become shockingly apparent. A trove of emails shows it deprived thousands of workers of their pensions to benefit unions, then lied about it.

The news site The Daily Caller has obtained internal government emails that show the U.S. Treasury Department, led by Timothy Geithner, pushed in 2009 to end the pensions of 20,000 non-union employees of GM’s Delphi auto parts unit as part of the auto bailout.

What’s truly outrageous is that, while those workers were cheated of their full pensions, union employees of the same Delphi company got their pensions paid.

This financially ruinous favoritism of union workers over nonunion workers is blatantly unfair, illegal and a violation of Constitutional guarantees of equal treatment under the law. And the reason is political.

By its own reckoning, organized labor spent nearly $400 million to get Obama elected in 2008, more by far than any other interest group. So it’s no surprise the White House punished nonunion workers and rewarded union members when it came time to “bail out” GM.

Total value of the auto industry bailout to the unions was, by one estimate, $26 billion. For the unions, their $400 million was money well spent indeed.

What’s disturbing is it now appears several White House officials may have lied about how this obvious favoritism came about. Looking at the record, Treasury and White House officials appear guilty not just of political malfeasance, but of perjury as well. On this, the Daily Caller’s email cache is damning.

*** end quote ***

Frau Reinke was always enraged about “losing” her 5k$ GM bond to the Gooferment bailout.

We knew it was a corrupt bargain, but there was no recourse.

The public, bondholders, preferred stock holders, … … everyone got <synonym for the past tense of the procreation act.>!

She didn’t loose her “lunch money”. But it still hurt her.

The pensioners lost their “lunch money”!

That’s not right.

Jobless Rate Climbs to 8.3 Percent, Creating More Anxiety for Obama and the Left
Posted by Daniel J. Mitchell

*** begin quote ***

Can we finally all agree that Keynesian economics is a flop? The politicians in Washington flushed about $800 billion down the toilet and we got nothing in exchange except for anemic growth and lots of people out of work.

Indeed, we’re getting to the point where the monthly employment reports from the Labor Department must be akin to Chinese water torture for the Obama administration. Even when the unemployment rate falls, it gives critics an opportunity to recycle the chart below showing how bad the economy is doing compared to what the White House said would happen if the so-called stimulus was enacted.

What is U6 unemployment rate ?

The U6 unemployment rate counts not only people without work seeking full-time employment (the more familiar U-3 rate), but also counts “marginally attached workers and those working part-time for economic reasons.” Note that some of these part-time workers counted as employed by U-3 could be working as little as an hour a week. And the “marginally attached workers” include those who have gotten discouraged and stopped looking, but still want to work. The age considered for this calculation is 16 years and over …

RANT: And he might have been mistaken for a SWAT officer by arriving police

Saturday, July 28, 2012

Aurora, Colo., shooting spree: A day of tears for victims and of twists in case
By David A. Fahrenthold, Thomas Heath and Joel Achenbach, Published: July 22

*** begin quote ***

AURORA, Colo. — Sunday was a day to mourn here — and ask, fruitlessly, why.

Two days after a shooting rampage killed 12 people and wounded 58 in a movie theater, President Obama flew in to praise victims and survivors. And Colorado leaders held the first large public memorial service, asking a crowd of thousands to repeat “We will remember” after each of the 12 names.

Away from these rituals, new details emerged about the suspect, James Holmes, 24. Authorities said the gunman might have killed more if his assault rifle had not jammed. And he might have been mistaken for a SWAT officer by arriving police, had not one officer spotted something odd in his body armor.

*** and ***

A law enforcement source, who is close to the investigation but not authorized to speak publicly, said something went awry in the killer’s planned assault at the theater. Police said the alleged gunman had three weapons: a Remington shotgun, a Smith & Wesson M&P assault rifle and a Glock .40-caliber handgun.

The assault rifle, which is akin to an AR-15 and is a civilian version of the military’s M-16, could fire 50 to 60 rounds per minute and is designed to hold large ammunition magazines. The source said that Holmes allegedly had obtained a 100-round drum magazine that attached to the weapon but that such large magazines are notorious for jamming.

The law enforcement official said authorities think the gunman first used the shotgun — some victims have buckshot wounds — and then began using the assault rifle, which jammed. Then he resorted to the handgun.

*** and ***

Initial police accounts said he surrendered without incident to officers who found him at his car behind the theater complex. But Oates, in an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday, described a more complicated scene in the minutes after the shooting. He said police arriving at the scene might have mistaken Holmes for a SWAT officer. He was allegedly dressed in black ballistic gear, including a helmet, a throat guard, a vest, leggings and gloves.

Oates said a piece of equipment in Holmes’s elaborate gear — he would not specify which piece — struck one of the responding officers as irregular. The officer questioned Holmes. Oates did not describe the exchange, only the result: Holmes was arrested.

Jurors announced the verdict Friday after weighing 48 charges accusing him of abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period.

Wish I could “cheer” the verdict.

I see this as indictment of the Gooferment, our civil society, and “civilization”.

In my worldview, the ONLY reason for “government” is for its supposed protection of “We, The People”.

It has CLEARLY failed. It’s failed the victims. It’s failed the communities. AND, probably more importantly it’s fail the taxpayers.

Imagine “government protection” is a service that your buying with your tax dollars — both overt and those hidden taxes I love so much like inflation and debt. Are you happy with your service in the “Sandusky” matter?

Immoral, ineffective, and certainly hugely inefficient.

Bear in mind that Penn State is a Gooferment “subset”. And, assumed voluntarily by Pennsylvania laws about teachers a higher standard of care for those under its dominion. (Note the root of that word “dominate”. Implies force.)

So it didn’t protect little kids; that’s immoral. Didn’t protect the community from a two legged varmint, And, spent a HUGE amount of resources NOT doing its job.

And, why wasn’t this plea bargained out? Not that I want him to get a wrist slap, but why did we have to pay for a circus?

I smell a politician wanting publicity.

TV camera and newsprint.

As a taxpayer, I’d gig EVERYONE in the prosecution chain of command for this waste of taxpayer money. All involved should have made a deal: he goes away until he’s 100, we convict on ONE fellony charge, and he rats out everything he did, who knew, when did they know, how he got away with it, etc. etc. etc.

We have to have some lessons learned!

Nuremberg is a city in the German state of Bavaria, in the administrative region of Middle Franconia. Situated on the Pegnitz river and the Rhine–Main–Danube.

The Nuremberg defense: “I was just following orders.”

Didn’t work for the Nazis!

I follow the news about all my “kinsmen”. While not the most uncommon name in the world, I don’t know ANY other related “reinke’s”. And, only a few unrelated Jaspers who share the name. (I try not to embarrass them for the purposes of a Google search.)

This saddens me.

Where does the State ever get right to kill its “citizens” in cold blood? One libertarian philosopher I read once made the case that in RARE  instances, it might be justifiable, if the human represented a “clear and present” danger to society (i.e., a Doctor Hannibal Lecture that was too dangerous to confine). But that would be an extreme rarity.

I’m hard pressed to find this comparable to that.

IF faced with such a “duty”, I’d have to resign.

Makes me think of Saint Thomas Moore.

“And when we die, and you are sent to heaven for doing your conscience, and I am sent to hell for not doing mine, will you come with me, for fellowship?” Paul Scofield as Thomas More in “A Man for All Seasons” (1966)

So would you, could you kill a fellow human being, no matter how flawed. If the Eastern philosophers are correct, we are all but “fingers” on the same “hand”.

Would you cut off one of your fingers without a very very very good reason?

And the death penalty is as final as we can get. No eraser can make it right.

Nope, sorry, this is “wrong” by any standard I can find.

And, if an individual doesn’t have the right to do it, then creating a mob or a Gooferment doesn’t change the calculus.

Electronic Surveillance In General

Whether it be a CCTV camera, or a body scanner, sometimes the best option is not to evade or disguise, but to pull the plug entirely. At least, that was James’ point of view after the control grid went into overdrive and he couldn’t walk his dog without a blue-shirted Swedish agent fondling him on the sidewalk or forcing him to stroll through a body scanner. Finally, he had had enough, and so, decided that if they wanted to track every move of every person, it was going to cost them.

Using commonly available parts, James built a personal EMP device. Its range was dependent on the size of the power supply he tied to it, but when used properly, it would zap anything with a circuit within several feet of him:

http://www.amazing1.com/emp.htm

The Body Scanners were useless. RFID tags went blank. CCTV cameras shorted. They would eventually be replaced, but the cost would be high, and as long as he didn’t get caught, James could experience, at least for a short time, the America of the past…

*** end quote ***

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? . . .” — Alexander Solzhenitsyn

CHIEF RAYMOND J. HAYDUCKAAdvisory: Cops catch drunk driver after near collision and chase

Hi fjohn reinke,

A drunk driver, who had been convicted four times previously for driving while under the influence, was arrested Saturday morning after nearly striking a police car and leading officers on a chase. The incident began at 1:30am as Sergeant Frank Lombardo was driving east on Route 522. William Campbell age 52 of Franklin Park was operating his 1994 Ford pickup truck south on North Umberland Way. He entered the intersection of Route 522 without stopping and nearly ran into Sergeant Lombardo’s marked patrol car. The sergeant had to slam on his brakes to avoid a collision.

The sergeant then activated his lights and siren attempting to stop the vehicle. The pickup truck accelerated and struck two curbs as it winded through the South Ridge Townhomes development. Campbell then pulled onto New Road and headed east. He turned off of New Road into a commerical development accelerating behind some buildings. Sergeant Lombardo pursued him behind the buildings where Campbell made a U-turn and came back at the officer. Sergeant Lombardo was able to get his vehicle out of the way as Campbell pulled pass. Campbell then pulled up to the rear of one of the commercial buildings and parked his vehicle. He stumbled out of the driver’s seat without explanation. Sergeant Lombardo was able to arrest Campbell without further incident.

Campbell, who in addition to four driving while under the influence convictions has ten license suspensions, was charged with driving while under the influence and eluding. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. His bail was set at $25,000. He was lodged in the Middlesex County Correction Center in default of bail.

RANT: “Audit the Fed” has some life

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

*** begin quote ***

Dear Ferdinand,

This is it!

Earlier today, I received word that Audit the Fed (H.R. 459) is now scheduled for a vote this July in the U.S. House of Representatives!

This historic moment is only possible thanks to your relentless pressure. Now we must turn up the heat to secure victory – first in the House and then in Harry Reid’s U.S. Senate.

That’s why I hope you’ll read the note below from Senator Rand Paul and take immediate action.

In Liberty,

Matt Hawes
Vice President
Campaign for Liberty

*** end quote ***

If one has to find the one single thing, that has impoverished us as a nation, while allowing the Gooferment to grow out of control and dramatically preventing us from controlling that “sprawl”, then one only has to look at the 1913 creation of the Fed.

Killing it wouldn’t solve our problems.

But it would go along way to stop the hole we’re in from being dug to even grater depths.

AND, it would stop “inflation”. The automatic debasement of our unit of account.

The Dead Old White Guys must be rolling over to see us make this basic mistake.

RANT: End Gooferment Skrules

Friday, May 25, 2012

http://ncc-1776.org/tle2012/tle670-20120513-02.html

To Hell With Public Schools
by L. Neil Smith

Attribute to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise

*** begin quote ***

It is time to end the public schools.

I just heard about a little boy—a six-year-old in First Grade—who is being treated like a sex criminal by the drooling half-wits who run the Aurora (Colorado) school system because he quoted an M&Ms commercial to a little girl his own age. Something about “I’m sexy and I know it”, a concept of which the poor kid can’t possibly have any understanding.

Everybody reading this knows that this is just the latest in an endless series—”a long train of abuses and usurpations” if I ever saw one—of Nazi-like idiocies occurring all over the country, and in Canada, as well. The last one that pissed off every intelligent individual on the continent was when a little girl drew a picture of a gun of some kind, and her father got strip-searched and their home invaded by uniformed goons with the intelligence of vicious man-eating eggplants.

*** end quote ***

If I had one quibble with L. Neil Smith, it is that he confuses “public schools” with “Gooferment Skrules” aka “Big Government Propaganda Reeducation Camps”. Or as some wag said: “Prison’s Minor League Training Program”.

I vaguely remember back in the days of my yute, there were “public schools” that were not run by the Government. Schools of Ethical Culture. The Lutherans had schools that weren’t “parochial”, but were open to anyone. I only vaguely remember those. They were gone before I was far along in school. There were “private” schools that were “public”. They had some number of slots paid for by benefactors to be given to worthy families; as I reflect you had to be smart and your family broke.

“Free” Gooferment Skrules quickly wiped them all out. Who can compete with a “free good”? Like trying to market air or dirt.

Not a doubt in my mind that the current “stupidity” of Ameirkan Yute is totally due to Gooferment Skrules. Ending them would one of the single best things that could happen.

The only thing I’d rank higher would be: End the Fed; End the “(pseudo) War on (some) Drugs”; and End the Income Tax.

But ending Gooferment Skrules would certainly be a good start and the increase in IQ would probably lead to nuking these other things!

RANT: Gooferment protection is nonexistent; circular reasoning

Thursday, May 24, 2012

EXCERPT FROM AN EMAIL ABOUT Gooferment!

But, see there is the “key fact”, the Gooferment ENABLES that bad product to make to the market in the first place. Then you think the Gooferment should “protect” us from it. It’s ineffective and inefficient. If makers were exposed to the FULL BRUNT of their mistakes, then they would be infinitely more careful.

The marketplace exacts a SWIFT and TERRIBLE justice on the “offenders”. Think Corvair. Think Thallidomide. Think Enron. Think … any good disaster. Yeah, the Gooferment got involved long after the train left the station. I remember TIME magazine breakign the Thallidomide story and had women stopping that drug LONG before the actual link was formally recognized in Europe. Which PRECEEDED the FDA by a while.

Yes, my little L libertarian “paradise” my be only in my dreams now. But it’s coming. Because humans NEED to be free. And, you can only surpress it for so long before it erupts. My exemplar is “drugs in prisons”. Humans are irrepressible; you can only kill them.

Good point about the the seat belts. But it was one passionate committed man who dragged Gooferment along kicking a screaming. Even some good things result from a big bad thing.

RANT: Nothing should be named after ANY legislators or bureaucrats — long-time or not!

Prison road renamed after long-time legislator

Sorry, but I renew my ranting objection to naming ANYTHING for “long-time legislator”. Those gangsters are well compensated for their “public service”!

Argh!

Dead vets. Preferably privates. They deserve to be remembered! Over paid fat cats, negative!

http://lewrockwell.com/spl4/re-education-camp-manual.html

Yes, the Re-Education Camp Manual Does Apply Domestically to U.S. Citizens
by Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet

*** begin quote ***

The most alarming portion of the document appears on page 56 and makes it clear that detention camps will have PSYOP teams whose responsibility will be to use “indoctrination programs to reduce or remove antagonistic attitudes,” as well as targeting “political activists” with such indoctrination programs to provide “understanding and appreciation of U.S. policies and actions.”

Let’s make one thing clear – the manual primarily deals with enemy combatants captured and detained in foreign prison camps run by the U.S. Military. However, another thing that is just as clear from reading the manual in full is the fact that it also applies to citizens detained within the United States, whether they be DCs (displaced citizens) or “civilian internees,” in other words citizens who are detained for, “security reasons, for protection, or because he or she committed an offense against the detaining power.”

Firstly, throughout the manual there are scores of references to how the U.S. Army would work together with the DHS, ICE and FEMA (page 24) to implement the policies “within U.S. territory” as part of “civil support operations” in the aftermath of “man-made disasters, accidents, terrorist attacks and incidents in the U.S. and its territories.” (page 38).

*** end quote ***

If this doesn’t convince you, then you truly are one of “We, The Sheeple” and deserve all you get.

OTOH, I and my fellow patriots may go down, but it’s going to be expensive.

See the Oppressors depend on tranquil lambs bath-ing quietly as they go to the slaughter.

RANT: Michelle as “Marie Antoinette” and she and BHO44 are really “out of touch”!

Friday, April 27, 2012

http://dailycaller.com/2012/04/26/group-michelle-obamas-spain-trip-cost-taxpayers-467k/

Group: Michelle Obama’s Spain trip cost taxpayers $467k

Published: 2:12 PM 04/26/2012

*** begin quote ***

It cost taxpayers nearly a half-million dollars for first lady Michelle Obama to travel to Spain in 2010, according to an analysis by Judicial Watch.

The right-leaning watchdog group estimated that the trip cost $467,585. It based its analysis on documents obtained from the U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Air Force.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said it took his group “two years and a lawsuit to get these documents out of the Obama administration.”

“It is hypocritical for President Obama to fire GSA officials for wasteful conference spending, while his family went on a luxury vacation in the Costa del Sol Spain that cost taxpayers nearly half a million dollars,” Fitton said.

*** end quote ***

And, the liberals, left slanted media, and the Hollywood comedians pictured Bush41 and Bush43 as “out of touch”.

That cartoon of Michelle Obama as Marie Antoinette was exactly right!

“Let them eat cake!”

Who’s Keith?

I’m not sure, but I don’t think that the date promised was 4/25. It was out of stock, then came back. I wouldn’t have ordered that far out. No sense cancelling now, but I’m not pleased.

RANT: Charity gets you slack in my thinking

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

FROM FACEBOOK:

*** begin quote ***

Hillary Rosen, please stop talking. Attacking a candidates spouse because she stayed home with her family is wrong. Mrs. Romney seems like a good person regardless of her husbands lack of inability to articulate his true position on any policy issue.

*** end quote ***

SO OF COURSE I HAVE TO CHIME IN:

*** begin quote ***

‎”Liberal” “Feminists” are nether tolerant, not champions of all women. All we have to do is look to Africa and Asia and see what happens when you don’t value half the population for what they do every day.

I’m not a Romney fan, but anyone, who gives that much to charity, gets a lot of slack. (Personally, Joe Biden’s $381 for a self-proclaimed Catholic just sends me into orbit.) By their works, you shall know them.

*** end quote ***

AND I GET BACK:

*** begin quote ***

I agree. They both seem like nice people, good parents and seem to be happy. I may disagree with them politically but as people I respect them and I certainly admire his business acumen. As for Biden, The idea that the Church gets any of his money saddens me. there has to be a better charity to give to then one who practices misogyny and whose titular head lives in the dark ages. Of course that is just IMHO.

*** end quote ***

SO I CONCLUDE WITH:

*** begin quote ***

Hmmm, “Dark Ages”, isn’t that “harsh”. For all the good works that Holy Mother Church does. As far as “misogyny”, I’m just a fat old white guy injineer and don’t do good with them big wurds. When I criticize, I try to remember: “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. In Biden’s case, even Jesus got lost his kool and physical with the money changers. When you put yourself forward as an exemplar, you’re fair game for critique. I, otoh <on the other hand> — that was my de-jargon-izer kicking in automagically — don’t pretend to exemplify anything. Except I’m proud of my humility. There’s so much I have to be humble about.

RANT: The “war on women” is BS; what I politely call “barbara streisand”

Monday, April 16, 2012

FROM A YOUNG RELATIVE’S FACEBOOK:

*** begin quote ***

LeftAction: 500,000 Strong Against the Republican War on Womenleftaction.com‎”House Republicans have launched an all-out war on women since taking the Speaker’s gavel over a year ago. Republicans must immediately end their War on Women and give women a seat at the table especially when discussing women’s health.” Friday, April 13 at 8:43pm ·

*** end quote ***

NOW WE ARE IN FOR IT:

FJohn Reinke>

*** begin quote ***

There is NO “war” IMHO. Look at Africa and Asia for “war on women”. Most men would love to be a “kept man”, but most gals are too smart for that to work!    Friday, April 13 at 10:15pm

*** end quote ***

HER>

*** begin quote ***

You’re right, there’s a global war on women. Some battlefields are bloodier than others, but it’s still war IMHO.    Friday, April 13 at 10:23pm

*** end quote ***

FJohn Reinke>

*** begin quote ***

How about the current “war on men” with the “feminization of education” that puts boys down. The natural physical activities boys prefer and must have are deemed to be disruptive or “bad”. Good girls sit still and raise their hands; bad boys get bored and distracted by all the sitting around and the Yak in Box model. Girls get scholarships; boys get discipline and expelled. Argh!    Saturday, April 14 at 9:05pm

*** end quote ***

HER>

*** begin quote ***

Boo hoo. Boys grow up to be men who get better pay and rely on women to make their sorry asses look good.    Saturday, April 14 at 9:19pm

*** end quote ***

FJohn Reinke>

*** begin quote ***

Not so sure about the “better pay” argument. Statisticians have pointed out that, adjusting for the decision to have children, the score isn’t as clear as the liberals would like you to believe.

And, there is an economic competition argument against that to be made. It goes like this. In a head to head competition of “evil corporation #1” and “good corporation #2”, where all things are equal EXCEPT evil keeps its women down whereas good maximizes them, the good corp does better than bad by virtue of it’s better “exploitation” of it’s female human resource. During bad eventually out of business.

You can sub in any single condition, labor, youth, environment, that you want and good always beats evil. In this mental experiment.

Life is not so clear because life ain’t a lab.

Where gals do “fail” is in math-ey stuff, because of the education system. A case can be made that BOTH girls and boys are hindered by the Gooferment education system. It left to the reader to show why “one size fits all” yack in the box education fails everyone? Hint: why do we have different sizes of everything?

Lol. See what happens when fat old white injineers can’t sleep. Long boring lectures!    12:29am
