Ignoring the Science: The Curious Case of Cell Phone Bans

Blanket bans on social media can also be harmful because they may offer a fig leaf that covers deeper issues, leaving them unexplored. “Depressive symptoms,” the authors of the 2023 study reported, “may not be directly associated with actual behaviors of regularly using social media but rather with some maladaptive cognitive and affective processes related to social media use.”

As ususal, the Gooferment rushes to ban cell phones in Gooferment Skrules … …

… … when that isn’t the problem?

As before, I continue to believe that the problem is “Gooferment Skrules” and the “Yack In The Box” paradigm.

How many examples do we need of Gooferment “successes” that reinforce the Prussian objective?  Create cannon fodder for the Army, willing morons for the factories, and useful idiots to vote for and be led by the elite!

One room school houses, at home education, Montessori, micro schools, self-directed learning, internships, apprenticeships —  all point the way that the Gooferment is the problem; not the solution.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Individual responsibility with profit motives can more correctly ensure that capital infrastructure gets maintained

Thursday, February 26, 2026

https://51st.news/potomac-spill-dc-trump-emergency-disaster/

After the massive sewage spill into the Potomac, a shitload of questions remain

  • Meanwhile, Trump has waded into the debate, and Bowser asked to declare it a presidential emergency disaster.

Martin Austermuhle
February 19 2026 12:43 PM

*** begin quote ***

It was a month ago that a massive pipe running from the Virginia suburbs to the Blue Plains Advanced Water Treatment Plant in D.C. ruptured, resulting in a massive discharge of raw sewage into the Potomac River.

The spill itself has been largely contained, but the political shitstorm has just started. Questions are flying about what D.C. Water knew about the condition of the aging sewage pipe, what the agency and local jurisdictions could have done to better notify the public, how long the repairs will take, and what the ultimate impact on the river might be.

*** end quote ***

As usual, the Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy.

Aging infrastructure and conflicting jurisdictions makes for great political headlines but does nothing, less than nothing, to get to the root of the problem.

Bottom line: Privitization at least demonstrates that individual responsibility with profit motives can more correctly ensure that capital infrastructure gets maintained.

Hopefully, “We, The Sheeple” will recognize the villians in this drama.

One can complain about HOAs but for the most part they seem to —  for the most part —  can manage their infrastructure.  Imagine it is the “solution” to Gooferment boondoggles?

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Stuff that is “incorrectly weighed” needs a consumer watchdog incentive

Georgia Man Picks Up 5-Pound Ham At Walmart. Then He Checks It On The Scale: ‘This Is The Second Time With The Kentucky Legend’
by Braden Bjella — January 27, 2026 6:00 pm

*** begin quote ***

In this video, which currently has over 6.4 million views, Wrigg looks over the refrigerated section with Kentucky Legend ham. After just a few seconds, he’s able to identify several hams that have significantly incorrect weights listed.

Bringing them all to the scale, Wrigg first demonstrates the scale’s accuracy by placing a 2-pound weight on it. Then, he weighs the hams. Consistently, each ham is around 3.1 pounds lighter than it claims to be on the package.

In a later video, Wrigg voices his concerns to an employee. The employee then verifies that the meats were incorrectly weighed.

*** and ***

In a TikTok DM exchange, Wrigg told BroBible neither Walmart nor Kentucky Legend has reached out to him about his videos. In the meantime, he has reached out to reached out to the Georgia Department of Agriculture Weights & Measures.

“I want is an explanation on why [there] were not better controls in the grocery department,” he said. “I have three videos and three different Walmarts with three different meats and three different brands; I found all of it in under seven minutes in each store. They seem to have no care to be surveying and checking their prices, whether they’re marking them or not.”

He further expressed a desire for procedures to be put in place to prevent this from happening. Wrigg added that, in his view, these procedures should have been added after the $45 million settlement.

How come in Japan, companies are scrupulous that the picture must match the product?  But here in the USA, it’s like everything is “optional”.  The best way is to put the consumer in charge of “quality control”.  How about a Gooferment diktat that if a consumer can find a defect in labeling, then they get the item free and a check for 100 times the price.

In the cited example, that $25 ham would cost the company $2,500.  I bet that would make their eyes water and they’d find a way to solve the problem.  Maybe a second offense, could add a zero to the end of the multiplier.  And so forth and so on.

Hello, at a 10,000 mutiplier, I’d be at the store with my own scale.  More profitable than Bitcoin mining!

It’s all about incentives.  And neither Gooferment or their “Corporations” have the right ones in place.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: DJT47 needs to STOP “administrative warrants”

ICE Cops are Invading Homes Without Court Warrants
by Adam Dick | Jan 22, 2026

*** begin quote ***

United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) cops — often masked, out of uniform, and intent on quickly escalating the force they initiate while yelling out orders and curses — have been demonstrating over the past few months the danger of police directed to menace and suppress instead of to serve and protect.

A Wednesday Associated Press article by Rebecca Santana details one of the tactics employed by ICE cops in their rampage — storming into homes without judge-signed warrants authorizing that they may enter and for what particular purposes. The US Constitution was supposed to restrain such home invasions in the nation that rose post-revolution from the colonies that had been subjected to British soldiers operating under general warrant powers. Strict requirements were imposed in the Fourth Amendment in regard to searches and seizures. ICE, though, is bypassing that restraint in its current home invasion practices.

“Federal immigration officers are asserting sweeping power to forcibly enter people’s homes without a judge’s warrant, according to an internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement memo obtained by The Associated Press, marking a sharp reversal of longstanding guidance meant to respect constitutional limits on government searches,” wrote Santana to begin hear article. ICE cops, Santana related, are just acting under supposed authority from “administrative warrants” ICE creates for itself.

Clearly, what started out as a “great idea” (i.e., remove criminal illegals) has degraded into a <synonym for excrement> show!

I think it is fair to hold everyone in the chain of command personally —  both civilly and criminally —  liable for violation of Constitutional Fourth Amendment Rights.

If I was on a jury, then my verdicts would be influenced by these violations!

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Counseling for ideological thoughts?

Thursday, January 22, 2026

Schools Flag 11-Year-Olds as Terrorists for Questioning Mass Migration | Daily Pulse

  • They’re training kids to report “bad thoughts.” One wrong move—and the system takes over.

The Vigilant Fox
Jan 13, 2026

*** begin quote ***

STORY #1 – Students are being monitored for thought crimes through a government-funded video game in UK schools.

Kids as young as 11 are warned that they could be flagged as potential terrorists simply for questioning mass migration.

The game, Pathways, puts students in control of a white character navigating so-called moral dilemmas. If they express the “wrong” opinion, share the “wrong” video, or attend a protest defending British values, their extremism meter climbs. The penalty? Counseling for ideological thoughts or a referral to PREVENT—Britain’s official counterterrorism program.

Even researching immigration statistics is treated as suspicious. If a student dares to “look into it more,” the game warns: you’re being radicalized.

Looking up the truth is now a red flag.

This isn’t education. It’s psychological conditioning—pressuring children to stay silent, conform, and report their peers for independent thought.

Maria Zeee exposes what happens after a child is flagged, and just how little power parents have once the state takes over.

*** end quote ***

Well, what do “We, The Sheeple” expect when you have Gooferment Skrules?

The Prussian model of “education” is to create cannon fodder for the Army, willing morons for the factories, and useful idiots to vote for and be led by the elite!

It’s nothing more that an “indoctrination camp”.

This was once a land where every sane person knew how to build a shelter, grow food, and entertain one another. Now we have been rendered permanent children. It’s the architects of forced schooling who are responsible for that.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Leave bear eviction to the private sector

Saturday, January 17, 2026

Giant bear living under LA man’s house finally leaves after 37 days — thanks to this bizarre method
By Jeremy Louwerse
Published Jan. 8, 2026, 6:18 p.m. ET

*** begin quote ***

The bear eviction finally happened Tuesday after Johnson contacted “The Bear League” — a group from Lake Tahoe that specializes in bear removal emergencies.

“We heard about Ken, we felt bad for him and flew down and got the bear out,” said Ann Bryant, the founder and executive director.

The crew jumped into action, firing paintballs into the crawl space until the bruin had enough — retreating from its den.

“The bear was gone in 20 minutes,” Bryant said.

The paintballs are filled with vegetable oil and sometimes “they hit the bear in the rump,” added Bryant — who said her organization does between six and eight bear extractions a day.

Johnson told The Post he quickly covered the crawl space with two layers of plywood and sandbags to prevent the bear from ever coming back. The Bear League also placed an “electric mat” in front of the crawlspace designed to give a small shock if stepped on.

The shock mat proved to be handy when the bear returned Wednesday but got zapped.

*** end quote ***

Take note that the Gooferment’s efforts caught the wrong bear.  That made me laugh.  We all know that the Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy.  Why do they keep demonstrating it to us?

Like most private sector fee market solutions, it was quick and easy.  And, painless except to the bear who found it a PIA (pain in the ass)! Laugh!

Seriously, about the only thing the Gooferment is good at is killing things!

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Create a “Devil’s Advocate” to speak against pardoning people

Thursday, November 13, 2025

Trump on why he pardoned Binance CEO: “Are you ready? I don’t know who he is.”
Trump family business could benefit from pardon of crypto ex-con Changpeng Zhao.
Jon Brodkin – Nov 3, 2025 2:15 PM

*** begin quote ***

President Trump says he still doesn’t know who Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao is, despite having pardoned Zhao last month.

CBS correspondent Norah O’Donnell asked Trump about the pardon in a 60 Minutes interview that aired yesterday, noting that Zhao pleaded guilty to violating anti-money laundering laws. “The government at the time said that C.Z. had caused ‘significant harm to US national security,’ essentially by allowing terrorist groups like Hamas to move millions of dollars around. Why did you pardon him?” O’Donnell asked.

*** end quote ***

After the Biden fiasco of autopen pardons, @realDonaldTrump should create a “Devil’s Advocate” to speak against pardoning people.  Maybe we could get Judge Judy to chair a TV trial with a retired judge to act as the Devil’s Advocate versus the lawyer who thinks his client deserves one.

Put it on Pay Per View for a few buck to defer the expense.  It’d make Survivor or the Bachelor look tame by comparison.  Judge “Don’t Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining” Judy Sheindlin could hear both sides and then issue a recommendation to the President.  Of course, that recommendation meeting could be on PPV too where the President could sign it for all to see.

I love this idea.  (Who doesn’t love their own “baby”?  No matter how ugly.). Your comments welcome.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: end the IRS and the FCC

It Didn’t Start With Trump

By Ron Paul, MD

The Ron Paul Institute

October 21, 2025

*** begin quote ***

The administration of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt used tax investigations against political opponents.

*** and ***

President John F. Kennedy used the IRS and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to drive his conservative critics off the radio.

President Lyndon Johnson also used the IRS and the FCC to silence conservative critics.

*** and ***

President Richard Nixon used the IRS to target political enemies. The Nixon administration also threatened television and radio companies with revocation of their broadcast licenses unless they provided favorable coverage of the administration.

*** and ***

During the Clinton administration, the IRS not only targeted conservative and libertarian organizations it audited Paula Jones after she sued President Clinton for sexual harassment.

*** and ***

During the George W. Bush years, the IRS targeted organizations critical of the Iraq War.

*** and ***

When Barack Obama assumed the presidency, the tax agency turned its attention back to conservative and libertarian groups, with a focus on organizations associated with the Tea Party.

*** end quote ***

So, let’s “nuke” the IRS and the FCC.

Seems like a good start.

Many if the abuses of power all originate from the Federal Gooferment “regulating” “We, The Sheeple”.  Since we are supposed to be a Federal Republic, the Federal Gooferment should only interact with the various State Gooferments that created it.  Leave “We, The People” alone.

Argh!

Let’s start Limited Government!

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Gooferment diktats and “inspections” don’t keep us safe

Monday, September 22, 2025

https://www.malone.news/p/homesteading-the-food-emancipation?publication_id=583200&post_id=173665120&isFreemail=true&r=3snn7d&triedRedirect=true

Homesteading: The Food Emancipation Proclamation
By Joel Salatin
Robert W Malone MD, MS
Sep 15, 2025

*** begin quote ***

If you said, I want to buy a can of your homemade canned tomato soup, I can’t sell it to you. The current system only allows availability in the marketplace from the industrial choice. If you ever notice a food recall, they’ll put down the brands that are being recalled. There’s 25 brands, they’re all coming from the same tube. People walk into Walmart and they say, well, what do you mean we don’t have food choice? Look at all the brands, all the colored labels. Well, they’re all industrial. So what we want, what the society, the culture is yearning for right now. Buyers want affordable unadulterated food. You can’t get that at the supermarket. Old farmers need a way to get out. We talked about that on the tour. Young farmers need a way to get in and inner city food deserts need a solution besides the food bank.

*** and ***

In order for me to offer you a chicken pot pie, did you like that chicken yesterday? Yeah. Yeah. In order for me to offer you a chicken pot pie, I have to have an inspected kitchen, a hasp plan, hazardous analysis, critical control point plan, and there’s no template for making these. And if you take the template off the inspection service website, they will automatically cast it out.

I have to have a licensed bathroom, not a composting toilet, and it doesn’t matter that our kitchen is a hundred yards from two in our house, two in mom’s house. It has to be on site, a licensed leach field for that bathroom and a certified cold chain with 24 7 thermometer, computer microchip reading. That’s just to get you a chicken pot pie.

*** and ***

Ultimately, these food safety laws have nothing to do with food safety. All other hazardous substances, prescription drugs, fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, name your thing, you can’t buy them. You can’t give them away. You can’t possess them, and you certainly can’t feed ’em to your kids. But food, the prohibition is only on the seller. You can buy it, you can use it, you can feed it to your kids, you can feed it to your neighbors, you can give it away. You just can’t sell it. So who’s kidding? Who here is this really food safety? If it was really dangerous for me to butcher a beef in the field and take out a T-bone steak and sell it to you, if it was really dangerous, it ought to be I can’t give it away. You can’t buy it and you certainly can’t feed it to your kids. So the hypocrisy of this is so glaring that it defies imagination.

*** end quote ***

Argh!

What more can I say?

Sorry but the Gooferment politicians and bureaucrats have a slew of regulations that don’t make sense.

Let the “free market” decide what we can and can’t put in out bodies.

We are NOT the Gooferment’s “livestock” to be “managed” at their whim.
