Disney Got Itself A ‘If You Own A Themepark…’ Carveout From Florida’s Blatantly Unconstitutional Social Media Moderation Bill

Earlier this year, we noted that a wide variety of states (mostly those controlled by angry, ignorant Republicans) were looking to pass blatantly unconstitutional bills that sought to force social media companies to host all speech and not moderate. As we noted in that article, Florida seemed to be leading the way, and now both houses of the Florida legislature have passed the bill that is blatantly unconstitutional, and will only serve to waste a large amount of taxpayer dollars to have this law thrown out in court.

The bill, like so many other such state bills, would violate the 1st Amendment by compelling websites to host speech they have no desire to host. It’s not even worth going through the bill bit by bit to explain its many different unconstitutional parts, but like so many of these bills, it tries to say that social media websites (of a certain size) will be greatly restricted in any effort to moderate their website to make it safer. There is no way this is even remotely constitutional.

TINFOILHAT: DJT45 Chlorine Dioxide Is Unequivocal Cure ?

How Are They Ever Going To Live This One Down?
Chlorine Dioxide Is Unequivocal Cure For Symptomatic & Laboratory Confirmed Covid-19 Infection

*** begin quote ***

Remember when the President made off-the-cuff statements about using disinfectants to potentially treat the coronavirus and the news media ridiculed him, saying he belonged in the “company of pseudoscientists and purveyors of phony elixirs who promote and sell industrial bleach as a ‘miracle cure’ for autism, malaria and a long list of medical conditions.”  (April 27, 2020 NY Times).

*** and ***

Fast forward to April 2021.  The Journal of Molecular and Genetic Medicine issues data that was never released to the general public.

Statistics of Bolivia where the use of water-solubilized chlorine dioxide (ClO2) for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 was approved by law in early August 2020, demonstrate a marked reduction in cases and deaths in that country. The highest peak recorded in Bolivia was epidemiological week 29 (10,939 cases), with cases falling to 670 in epidemiological week 45,(representing a 93% decrease). The case-fatality rate decreased from 8% to 4.5% in epidemiological week 36, coinciding with the massive use of dioxide in the population without it being possible to affirm with certainty that dioxide is responsible for this decrease. From a peak of 2,031 daily cases on August 20, 2020, cases dropped to 147 daily cases on October 21, 2020, representing a 93% decrease. Daily deaths decreased from a peak of 132 on September 3, 2020 to 24 deaths on October 21, 2020, with an 82% decrease in mortality.

TINFOILHAT: Ted Kennedy dealt with the Russians to undermine the USA?

Pinkerton: John Kerry Isn’t the First Massachusetts Democrat Accused of Assisting an Enemy
JAMES P. PINKERTON
27 Apr 2021

*** begin quote ***

The memo, written by KGB chief Viktor Chebrikov, laid out some of the Democrats’ motivations: “Senator Kennedy . . . is very troubled by the current state of Soviet-American relations.” The KGB man continued, laying out an argument that showed the mind-meld between Kennedy and the Kremlin:

Events are developing such that this relationship coupled with the general state of global affairs will make the situation even more dangerous. The main reason for this is Reagan’s belligerence.

So we can see that Kennedy and the Soviets were in agreement that the key concern was Reagan’s “belligerence.”  Moreover, Chebrikov added, “According to Kennedy, the current threat is due to the president’s refusal to engage in any modification of his policies.”

Reporter Mooney notes that during this, time Kennedy was considering a presidential run, perhaps in 1984 or perhaps in 1988.

Yet in the meantime, Chebrikov continued, the Massachusetts senator wanted to prepare the field by showing that Reagan was the problem, not the Russians: “Kennedy and his friends will bring about suitable steps to have representatives of the largest television companies in the USA contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the interviews.”

The goal, of course, was to make the Soviets look good while making Reagan look bad. By this argument, if only Reagan could be gotten rid of, and a Democrat such as Kennedy installed in the White House instead, all would be well with the world.

In Mooney’s summarizing words:

Kennedy’s actions occurred at the expense of presidential authority and in violation of federal law, according to academics and scholars who are familiar with the documents.

Yet the actions of Kennedy and Tunney were not revealed until decades after they happened. And yet even when they were revealed, the MSM reaction was a non-reaction.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Why isn’t this considered a “taking” under the Fifth Amendment

‘Mom And Pop’ Landlords Dying On The Vine As Un-Evictable Tenants Enjoy Pandemic Protections

As millions of renters across America continue to benefit from sweeping protections against eviction during the COVID-19 pandemic, their landlords haven’t been so fortunate.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Unconstitutional Debt and Future Generations

Unconstitutional Debt and Future Generations

Who will pay for all this?

If Biden’s proposed corporate and capital gains tax increases pass, fewer Americans will be employed as corporations will have less money for new hiring, and investments will suffer as the cost of their fruits will increase. And the post-pandemic economic recovery, once anticipated at the end of the government’s unlawful lockdowns, will not materialize.

Add to this the near-certainty of inflation, and you will have Biden misery visited upon all. Inflation will also raise the cost of government borrowing. That means Biden’s not yet born great-grandchildren, and their unhappy generation, will be paying for Old Joe’s profligate and unconstitutional spending.

This is a “bi-partisan” outrage.

Both the D’s and the R’s are to blame.

For the life of me, I don’t understand where this train wreck ends.

Where is a “straight shooter” who will stop the hemorage of red ink?

POLITICAL: Suggesting an episode: 17th Amendment

Listen often to his podcast and made this comment to him.

I know you like “listener suggestions. (I hope you’ll consider this.)

The 17th Amendment to directly elect senators, imho, after the Income Tax Amendment, was the single most destructive Amendment to the “American Experiment”. It destroyed the ability of the States to resist “unfunded mandates” and allowed “carpet baggers” like Hillary Clinton an easy path to high elective office.

Personally, I’d love to see it repealed but doubt it’ll ever happen in my lifetime. Those, who want to get the money out of politics, could do it quickly by its repeal.

As a retired fat old white guy injineer that studied a lot of “systems”, I think it merely duplicates the House of Representative while “neutering” the State legislatures. If the 17th can NOT be repealed, then I’d just eliminate the House completely and save all that money.

I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on this topic.

PRODUCTIVITY: AMAZON strikes back at porch pirates

Tuesday, April 27, 2021

https://www.reviewgeek.com/79942/amazon-expands-in-garage-grocery-delivery-to-curb-porch-pirates/

*** begin quote ***

Amazon said Tuesday that its in-garage grocery delivery service is expanding from just five cities to over 5,000. This is an extension of Key by Amazon, and those with Prime can have Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods grocery orders left directly in their garage.

*** end quote ***

I signed up for the “garage key” and it works.

BUT, (and there is always a BIG butt), it can add a day to the delivery time.  I don’t understand why, but for high value items it’s seems an easy choice.

Now they need a “car trunk” system.
