Woman dramatically saved from sinkhole moments before car swallowed

A Texas woman is lucky to be alive after a dramatic video shows her being rescued from her car as a sinkhole opens in the middle of the road.

The woman — who was not identified by police — was driving her white sedan along Yandell and Gateway South in El Paso around 6:40 p.m. when a massive sinkhole opened up beneath her car due to heavy rain the area had received, reported Jam Press.

Several good Samaritans and El Paso firefighters jumped into action and managed to extract the woman from the car before it fell into the pit.

Good work by these brave fellows.  They could have been swallowed up too.

My question — not answered by the story — was she driving on a already flooded road?

I was taught to never ever drive on water where I couldn’t see the road’s surface.

Here’s a reminder of that lesson.  Water is very powerful stuff and it doesn’t take much to float a car.

Be afraid and stay alive.

ECONOMICS: Bitcoin exposes the weakness of fiat “money”

“The Bitcoin Standard” Exposes The Hidden Costs Of Fiat
by Tyler Durden Monday, Apr 11, 2022 – 03:03 PM
Authored by Archie Chaudhury via BitcoinMagazine.com,

*** begin quote ***

Dr.u Saifedean Ammos, author of “The Bitcoin Standard,” explained how fiat has hidden costs and why Bitcoin represents the next generation of money…

Detractors of Bitcoin often point to its costs – namely in the form of electricity used in proof-of-work mining and its perceived impact on the environment – as reasons for why it will never be a sustainable alternative to traditional fiat currency. These detractors often believe that Bitcoin is fundamentally unscalable, or more likely, come from the power structures that fiat currency has enabled, such as government or centralized financial institutions.

In his presentation on the main stage of Bitcoin 2022, Dr. Saifedean Ammous delivered a presentation meant to underscore the invisible costs of fiat money, and how it has been used for centuries to economically oppress the average citizen of a fiat-based economy. Dr. Ammous has long been a supporter of Bitcoin, and has written “The Bitcoin Standard” and “The Fiat Standard,” both of which have helped educate numerous individuals about the advantages of Bitcoin and the corruption that is ingrained in most fiat states.

Dr. Ammous started his speech by focusing on inflation and how using fiat money helps back a system that is inherently unequal. Dr. Ammous specifically cited how fiat inflation is used primarily for the needs of the government, saying that “The cost of fiat is currently 3.5% of all global wealth, and is used to finance government parasites, wars, and monopoly banksters.”

Inflation is the silent tax that has robbed “We, The Sheeple” of 99% of the purchasing power of their “dollars”.

The politicians and bureaucrats love it because unless you look for penny candy, or a nickel cigar you won’t see it.

That what this thrives count on.

HEALTH: Certain seems like “We, The Sheeple” should follow the money via grand jury

Exclusive: 34-Year-Old Died After Pfizer Shot, Mother Shares ‘Ridiculous’ Letters From CDC
Via Children’s Health Defense

*** begin quote ***

The mother of a 34-year-old man who died suddenly two weeks after his first dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine said she believes her son would be alive today if he had had the information he needed to make an informed decision about the vaccine.

Victor Castillo Simoes died May 5, 2021, from an acute aortic dissection — an uncommon medical emergency in which the inner layer of the large blood vessel branching off the heart’s aorta tears. The condition mostly affects men in their 60s and 70s.

*** and ***

Henrietta said U.S. health agencies are “lying to people” that there are no adverse effects associated with COVID vaccines.

She added:

“When they say there’s no causal link the vaccine caused the injury, there’s no proof the vaccine didn’t. You can’t have the number of collateral damage we’ve had in order to save x amount of people because that’s criminal. You can’t have two people die to save 8 people. You don’t even really know if they’re being saved for sure by the vaccine.”

Henrietta said she and her family are not anti-vaxxers.

“We’ve all been vaccinated, but being from New York, we were all scared out of our wit’s end and didn’t know which end was up,” she said.

“But the government knew and they kept bringing the numbers for COVID up and up and created an emergency situation while suppressing therapeutics because they would not have been able to get EUA [Emergency Use Authorization] for COVID vaccines.”

Simoes was the last in his family to get the vaccine and didn’t have access to the information available now, Henrietta said.

“Without the knowledge that there are therapeutics that actually work or potential risks of the vaccine, how can you make an informed decision?”

Henrietta said she did not want to diminish the deaths due to COVID, but to “suppress alternative treatments and mandate vaccines is criminal.”

“If you get injured what recourse do you have?” she asked. “You have no way of suing so if you become a paraplegic because of it, where do you go?

Henrietta said she will not get any boosters, nor will her husband or children.

“We don’t know if we are genetically prone to something,” she said. “No more vaccines or boosters.”

Henrietta said her life will never be the same, nor will her family.

“If this could have been avoided by more critical thinking about what we’re really doing and what can we do in lieu of vaccines I think many peoples’ adverse effects could be eliminated,” she said.

Henrietta encouraged others to do their own research, be careful about what they put into their bodies and talk to physicians who understand the risks of COVID vaccines.

Sounds like there is criminal corruption involved.

Why isn’t reporting mandatory?

Let’s start pulling professionals’ licenses for this failure.

ECONOMICS: Is the American Empire in decline — seems that way

Wednesday, August 10, 2022

“In a few words: the West is in decline and our leaders are greatly accelerating and exacerbating this decline. They can cover this up with redundant arguments about what is and isn’t a recession for so long. But at some point either the inflation will get worse — perhaps by gas shortages in Europe this winter — and/or the unemployment rate will spike. At that point, the underlying dynamics will become too obvious to ignore; for politicians and the general public anyway. Economists will likely find some other redundant nuance to debate and distract.”

It certainly seems that the “can” has finally been kicked as far down the road as it can be.  And, some very ugly economic “chickens” are going to come home to roost.

Instead of learning from the malaise in Japan, or the abject failures of previous “bailouts”, the politicians and bureaucrats have continued to increase their spendthrift ways.

“We, The Sheeple” are going to feel the pain!

An MTA bus driver crashed into an elevated subway pillar in The Bronx when she suffered a possible heart attack Thursday — leaving 12 passengers with minor injuries, cops and sources said.

The 44-year-old Bx21 driver was heading south on Boston Road when the medical episode occurred and she hit the stanchion at the West Farms Road intersection around 8:25 a.m., authorities said.
The front of the MTA bus rammed into the pole, shattering the window.
The Bx21 driver careened into an elevated subway pillar at Boston Road and West Farms Road, cops said.

She suffered head trauma and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was listed in critical but stable condition due to the medical episode, which sources said was possibly a heart attack.

POLITICAL: The D’s are raising taxes and giving corporate welfare — Remember in November!

One Democrat Senator Can Stop Middle-Class Tax Hike
COMMENTARY
By Akash Chougule — August 05, 2022

*** begin quote ***

Democrats are calling for a massive middle-class tax increase during an inflation crisis to pay for billions in corporate welfare. It sounds absurd, but it’s true.

The average American family will spend $5,520 more in 2022 to afford the same quality of life as 2021, and poll after poll shows rising costs are the nation’s biggest concern; yet Democrats in Congress are trying to raise taxes across the board to fund hundreds of billions in giveaways to politically-favored industries.

The so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” introduced by Sen. Joe Manchin in July is many things, but inflation reduction it is not. Analysis from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, which Manchin previously said is his budgetary model of choice, says that the $739 billion behemoth is unlikely to have any impact at all on inflation. Congress’ nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation says it will raise taxes on every income bracket above $30,000 per year. President Biden has repeatedly pledged he would not raise taxes on any family making less than $400,000, but the committee found that the middle class and low earners will face the steepest tax hikes under the proposal. Biden isn’t the only supporter willing to violate his commitments amid record inflation: both Manchin and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer spoke out against tax increases during recession – notwithstanding the White House’s attempts to change the definition of the word for political gain.

*** and ***

Democrats claim these taxes are borne by corporations, but it is well established and agreed upon by economists – including left-leaning experts – that much of the burden of corporate taxation is borne by workers. Estimates vary, but the Congressional Budget Office found that workers bear about 73% of the cost. For low-income households, the burden of corporate taxation outweighs that of individual income taxes.

The damage to the economy would be broad even as Manchin insists on the limited scope of tax hikes. The five industries hardest hit employ one in every four American workers, or about 40 million people in total.

*** end quote ***

Remember in November!

Even if you have to hold your nose, the R’s — who are not much better are the party out of power — hence vote them in.

You’ll have a chance to vote them out the next time around.

I’d rather a do nothing Gooferment than one party Gooferment.

NEWJERSEY: Time to end public employee pensions; private industry has moved to 401Ks — so should the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee

Sunday, August 7, 2022

https://justthenews.com/nation/states/center-square/public-employee-pensions-benefits-load-new-jersey-debt

New Jersey debt soars from public employee pensions, benefits

  • Most of the increase in nonbonded debt came from a $36.1 billion hike in state retirement benefits liabilities.

By The Center Square Staff
Updated: August 3, 2022 – 12:08am

*** begin quote ***

New Jersey’s debt obligation grew to more than $200 billion in part because the state Legislature passed a budget reflecting only the current year’s policy priorities, pension and benefit obligations before moving on to the next crisis, the director of a public policy center said.

In the state Treasury Department Fiscal Year 2021 Debt Report released July 1, state debt obligations grew from $204 million to $248 million from June 30 of 2020 to a year later.

“The overwhelming share of this debt is tied to public employee pensions and benefits. Most of it isn’t even bonded debt – it’s long-term obligations due to retirees and employees,” Micah Rasmussen told The Center Square. He’s director of the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics. “So, it’s not directly tied into the state budget, except of course the state revenue we’re spending every year on servicing the debt.”

Old Wall Street axiom: “when you are in a hole, stop digging”.

Time for pensions has long past.

Unfortunately, the unions have the politicians and bureaucrats by the throats.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Time to shut down the FBI and CIA?

The FBI has a forgotten history of ‘covert propaganda’ and political interference

  • The agency previously engaged in ‘covert efforts to influence social policy and political action’ and at times used methods ‘reminiscent of the tactics of totalitarian regimes,’ according to a US Senate report.

Nationwide secret police force?

This may be one way in which a socialist-like government may have begun America: covertly employ thousands or millions of people in the FBI or other national secret police entity who are told they are protecting America, while in reality they are merely being used to covertly stalk, harass, intimidate, and in some cases significantly harm or neutralize innocent persons.

This type of government employment would be much like being in the mafia: once a person is employed by the FBI or other government secret police entity, they “know too much” about the methods, technologies, and potential crimes of the FBI or other secret police entity.

Such persons would be fully dependent on the FBI or secret police for their monetary survival, and, due to “knowing too much,” would likely be unable to obtain employment elsewhere. The more people the FBI or other secret police entity employs, then the more people who are fully dependent on the specific type of government employment which may be nearly impossible to get out of. It is either do what the potentially corrupt boss says, or be without employment.

Forget the media propaganda like the movie with Jimmy Stewart or the TV series with Efram Zimbalist Jr.

Think about the power that J. Edgar Hoover weirded with his files on every politician and celebrity.

Time to shut down the Deep State and its corruption.

TINFOILHAT: Why didn’t “We, The Sheeple” ask questions before believing the Gooferment “experts”?

“Crazy” Questions Everyone Should Have Asked About Covid-19
By Brian J. Foley — August 3, 2022

*** begin quote ***

One of the most astonishing things about the past two-plus years and counting has been how asking certain questions gets one branded as “crazy,” “stupid,” “conspiracy theorist,” etc. Questions that, had you asked “Before COVID,” would have been … normal.

So let’s dig into our closets and put on our now-sort-of-out-of-fashion clothes, get into a time machine and travel back to, say, 2014. (I pick 2014 to “control” for the Trump Derangement Syndrome that gripped about half the country and most media the next year.)

Government officials and media breathlessly tell us that a deadly virus is rampant, and that we must take particular measures, including vaccinating everyone. Before rolling up your sleeve for an injection, you would (ask) questions.

*** and ***

First, the COVID-19 debacle — meaning not only the deaths from the illness but the collateral damage from the response — would not have occurred had these questions been asked prominently and often by a critical mass of citizens and in “mainstream” media. We would have stopped after the first set of questions regarding the severity of the illness! There was no need to do anything beyond staying home when sick and washing one’s hands regularly and taking extra care around unhealthy people.

Second, not only did a critical mass of people fail to ask basic questions, but many people, perhaps most prominently the “educated,” denounced, bullied, and harassed anyone who did. These “educated” bullies even proposed and supported grotesque coercions, including shunning, barring the “unvaccinated” from going into stores and restaurants — and earning a living.

*** end quote ***

For the life of me, I don’t know the answer to that question.

I held out for the longest time before getting “the jab”.  While I had comorbidities, my cardiologist and my GP both said “wait” for few months before giving me the green light.

Of course, right after — 24 hours — after getting the second shot, I go Covid.

Coincidence or causal?  I’ll never know.

But I keep reading about vaccine injuries and early deaths and wonder could this be “yet another conspiracy theory” on its way to becoming true?

Only time will tell.

One thing is for sure Big Pharma and the vaccine cheerleaders made a lot of money off this pandemic!

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: The 600,000 tires the Gooferment sunk have come back to be a problem

Wrightsville Beach renourishment project uncovers hundreds of thousands of tires in the ocean

Wrightsville Beach, N.C. — The shrinking shoreline at Wrightsville Beach is in desperate need of sand.

“We can’t get our ocean rescue vehicles from point A to point B in some places, because there’s just not enough beach,” Mayor Darryl Mills said.

Rebuilding that usually happens every three years is behind schedule. Officials said they have faced numerous challenges since the beach was last filled with fresh sand in 2018.

Wrightsville Beach has sourced its sand from nearby Masonboro Inlet since the 1960s, but a new interpretation of the Coastal Barrier Resources Act (CBRA), dictates that no federal dollars can be used to move sand from a CBRA-protected zone (Masonboro Inlet) to a non-CBRA zone (Wrightsville Beach). Wrightsville Beach’s renourishment is 100% federally-funded, according to local records.

*** and ***

The Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) said it placed more than 600,000 tires off the North Carolina coast in the 1970s and early 1980s, but said it discontinued the practice in 1983.

“We don’t know the exact number of tires that were deployed back then,” said Patricia Smith, the Communications Director for the NC Division of Marine Fisheries. “Basically, the Division just doesn’t have reliable deployment records from that period.”

The artificial reef closest to the potential sand harvest location for Wrightsville Beach is called the Meares Harris Reef, located about 2.5 miles offshore and spanning 649 acres. That site includes other artificial reefs made of concrete pipes and tugboats that serve as fish habitats, but the aging tires are proving to be problematic.

*** end quote ***

I guess the artificial reef project wasn’t well thought out.  And the Gooferment only has itself to blame.  Of course, the Taxpayers pay for the mistake.
