One thing sucks on the net is identifying unique people.
Just try finding your classmates from your high school class.
Even fellow college alums are hard; high school is near impossible.
My advice: start collecting now.

OK, but try and find the missing ones via “search”. Facebook and LinkedIn at least have the concept of personal identity. But, unless someone links between them, they look like different people. Cla$$mate$ is too expensive for the casual searcher, and us cheap ones too.
Agreed about the deaths. It’s traumatic to find comrades are now passed. While it will come to us all, I’d prefer to not be “slapped in the face” with a reminder.
The internet is still not conducive to finding people.

I couldn’t disagree more. Between Facebook and Classmates.com, nearly two thirds of my graduating class from 26 years ago have been found in just one year. Since people are creatures of habit, it’s generally the case of find one, find many all a the same time.
Now add Linked-In and it gets even easier. Don’t be discouraged, they’re out there. The only bad part is when you find out someone is deceased. At age 43, that’s a tough one to handle!
