Then, on Wednesday afternoon, the Department of Justice announced that employees from Russia Today’s media outlet had invested in a $10 million scheme to create and distribute content to U.S. audiences with hidden Russian government messaging.

Crooked AG Merrick Garland announced, “The Justice Department will not tolerate attempts by an authoritarian regime to exploit our country’s free exchange of ideas in order to covertly further its own propaganda efforts, and our investigation into this matter remains ongoing.”

According to the Biden DOJ, the RT employees set up Tenet Media, a media startup company linked to conservative heavyweights Tim Pool, Benny Johnson, Dave Rubin, Lauren Southern, and Tayler Hanson.

These leading conservative talkers quickly condemned the allegations by Joe Biden’s lawless DOJ.

But the damage was done, and the DOJ tied these prominent conservatives to their latest “Russian scandal.”

It didn’t take long before these conservatives, despite being innocent, were targeted by the social media elites.

On Friday, YouTube banned Tayler Hansen’s account. Tayler had hundreds of videos of his undercover work over the years. Now it is gone. They don’t even warn you so you can save your videos!

Sure, and it just so happens that this is right in front of the election.  

How about holding announcements until you’ve won in court?

Just because Merrick Garland says something, it must be true.

They’re the deep-diving YouTubers who claim to have found missing California teen Kiely Rodni in less than a full day of looking — even after authorities spent nearly 20,000 man-hours failing to find her.

Adventures With Purpose started searching Prosser Creek Reservoir on Sunday — and within hours found what they believe is the 16-year-old’s 2013 Honda CRV with a body inside.

“WE JUST FOUND KIELY RODNI,” the volunteer group claimed on Facebook, ahead of local authorities confirming that the body was indeed the teen who went missing after a nearby graduation party on Aug. 6.

The various agencies of Gooferment bragged about how much effort they put into the search.  Only to “eat crow” when private citizens found her in less than a day.

I guess it all depends upon your motivation, tools, and training.

Like Uvalde, “who would build the roads” argument, but in this case it’s “who will find the bodies”!

RANT: The “social media” ARE utter frauds, regressive cheats, and petty censors

Dear Ken,

Twitter, it says here, has kicked the amazing actor and articulate political pundit James Woods off its vaunted platform for no other reason than that he writes truths that make the left all butt-squirmy. To me, this is the absolute last straw. These “social media” things originally presented themselves as futuristic channels of free and open communication. They are, instead, utter frauds, regressive cheats, and petty censors, stuck in the discredited and obsolete collectivist past, determined to drag everybody else back there with them.

They are also corporations, and, as such, fully as subject Bill of Rights limitations as any other tentacle of the government.

As a lifelong libertarian thinker and writer, I hate, loathe, and despise regulation of any kind. But I hate this elementary school neo-puritanism even worse. I hate some snotty asshole snatching my mail out of my mailbox. I want to hear what James Woods has to say, and I don’t buy a single syllable of the pseudo-tech bullshit they spew as an excuse for trying to control people’s lives.

I have fought censorship all my life. If Twitter fails to restore Woods’ account and never bothers him or anybody like him—Alex Jones, for example—ever again, I will begin to advocate publicly that it—and other enterprises like Facebook, Youtube, and Google itself be seized by Federal Marshals and turned over to the US Postal System. At least they pretended to mind their own damned business, and you could be locked up for messing with a mailbox.

Learnings from the Taylor Swift’s Auburn video

1) YouTube and Verizon have issues

Watching a YouTube video is a mess. You can figure out what the technical dimension the problem is. Users don’t have access to the diags necessary to tell where or what the problem really is. What’s worse one always has to be suspicious that either or both have their “thumb” on the scale. Verizon to sell FIOS or 4G. YouTube to extract payment from the ISPs.

2) YouTube software

Try resetting a video to someplace other than the beginning. Doesn’t work for me. But shouldn’t it DL the file to you so you can play it over and over. You shouldn’t need a utility or another site to collect it for you. Plus why can’t we have one open standard for video.

3) Assumption

You have to admire the innovation of these two Auburn guys, and one webmaster, for their ability to capture the essence of the inet and social media. Taylor Swift gets kudos for finding them, challenging them, and making the event. Of course, if I made 35M$ last year, I’d take a chance. Maybe not! It could have been a bust. So there was some risk in it for her. She could have been playing to an empty house. Not very likely. She could have leaked it to her fan base minutes before and I’m sure the tweens and teens would have packed the joint. I know I’d have gone. Everyone won. They got their hug; she got the buzz.

4) Make it happen

You have to admire these fellow’s ability to “instantiate” their vision. The Eastern philosophies always suggest that vision precedes actuality. These fellows demonstrated that principle. Or is it a meme? You have to visualize the end and the Universe will “make it so”. To steal a Star Trek line.

5) Noblese oblige

Taylor Swift exemplifies this meme. She could have, but never has, sat in her tour bus and counted her pennies. How to say one of her CPAs wasn’t doing this for her ( i.e.: “Taylor, do realize what this is going to cost you?” “So, how much is five million hits on YouTube worth in terms of paid downloads?”)? She seems propelled by human emotion. But buzz does translate to dollars, so she can be ‘frisky’. Knowing that the “buzz” is worth gazillions. That doesn’t diminish her. She really is an icon.

6) Fun

You have to be “hard hearted” not to enjoy the serendipity of the whole scenario. Other than a “young girl skirt” around some rowdy college students, one would be hard pressed to find a flaw in the whole video. Marginally, one can feel bad for the campus and her security people who had to make her safe. You can see the expressions on their faces that they were not happy on what should have been a sleepy afternoon. You have to wonder how the many folks who were “locked out” felt? Sorry, but I always look at the silent majority feels. I’d have been the 350+1!

What’s wrong with the inet, the iPad, YouTube, and iPad clients?

Playing around with this stuff, I realized that google search is flawed. They drop a load of results. What I want is a curated list.

For example, in fooling around with an Alzheimer’s infatuation with Taylor Swift, did a search for her on the inet, YouTube, and such.

What a mess?

The results are not pretty. No taxonomy. No authenticity. Must drive her lawyers crazy.
