The suspicious death of one of President John F. Kennedy’s mistresses just months after his death has sparked numerous conspiracy theories.

The latest version posits that socialite Mary Pinchot Meyer, a beautiful divorcee who was close friends with the Kennedys and is widely known for having a lengthy affair with the playboy President, was shot in a cover-up operation by the CIA.

A new book alleges that, in her preoccupation with her lover’s assassination and ensuing personal investigation, she may have gotten so close to the ‘truth’ that the CIA found her to be a threat.

As a result, agency operatives staged a shooting to make it look like she died due to a sexual assault that turned violent.

Whether or not the theory is true, there are a number of questionable components to the story of the months leading up to her death on October 12, 1964.

He goes on to say that she was later murdered by the CIA, who he believes organized the assassination of the President in an effort to stop him from preventing violent escalation that they wanted in the Cold War.

This has all the earmarks of a good tin foil hat story.

But there’s just nothing to hang your hat on.

The assertion that the JFK assassination was to prevent him from going on a tear for “peace” has been repeated many times.

The assertion that the CIA is part of a shadow government again many times.

The mistresses, many times.

What’s interesting in this tale is the absence of a suspect. The connection to JFK. And, timing.

Did she get too close?

Maybe.

But this side of the Pearly Gates we will never know.

Baring a break through, I’d say that the evidence supposrts an assertion that we don’t know the real story.

Just on that basis alone, that’s enough to shut down the CIA.

Why do we have it?

Another vestige of the Cold War. And why I believe the word is a dangerous place, I’m not sure that the CIA makes it any safer. Too many rogue “elephants” tromping around.

The latest memoir by a former lover makes me think twice about John F.Kennedy.

Mimi Alford’s account of her sexual dalliance with President Kennedy when she was a White House intern cannot be refuted by the late president but I have to say it rings true.

She was just 19-years-old when Kennedy, then 45, took her aside and to his wife’s bedroom where he ended her virginity.

There was worse to come. Perhaps the most damning part of the book is when Kennedy gets the very young woman to ‘service’ his White House aide Dave Powers while Kennedy looks on.

It is pretty disgusting stuff and while we all knew Kennedy was a roué, the direct evidence like this makes it a lot less appealing than the glamorous Marilyn Monroe alleged affair.

It seems like politicians have a tendency to be lying pigs.

JFK was supposedly the “first Roman Catholic President”. Acclaimed by all the Priests, Nuns, and Brothers in my schools, he was the single Greatest exemplar of Catholicism in my lifetime.

And, like most humans place on some pedestal or other by some one or some group, he’s found wanting.

It’s sad really, that leaders have so little character.

Yeah, I know who cares. “We, The Sheeple” want to watch reality shows.

But, just suppose for a moment, that this is true. Wow! The implications are stunning. We really do live in a society manipulated by a powerful elite. Like the French peasants, the Russian Serfs, Pharaoh’s slaves, it the same way today.

It’s apparent that the Warren Report was a whitewash and the truth is still unknown.

When do The People rise up and throw off their chains?

If ever.

TINFOILHAT: Thinking about TFHs and the Kennedy Assasination

The TFH (tin foil hat) category of this blog presents dikw (i.e., data, information, knowledge, wisdom) based in part on theory, observation, experience, and conjecture. While this is not a court of law, I defer to the great American Jurist, Judge Judy, “if doesn’t make sense, it’s not true”. The purpose here is to suggest some possible explanations, but not necessarily the only ones, to the phenomena we observe. Theory and conjecture should always welcome and encouraged. Of course, the best evidence is a repeatable experiment that the reader can perform to authenticate findings of fact. All else is not as good. But, unfortunately, life requires us to move forward on incomplete, inaccurate, and inconclusive information. But we tread lightly where we are unsure.

So why isn’t the Kennedy Assassination kill shot reproducible? A crappy rifle, an angle, an elevation, a moving target, and wind? Judge judy should examine this case. It doesn’t make sense.

The new book on the assassination of John F. Kennedy by Clint Hill, the secret service agent closest to him on the day, also focuses attention on another member of that service detail the driver of JFK’s car that day, William Greer, a native of Tyrone, Ireland.

Greer’s actions that day remain controversial, so much so that some crazed conspiracy buffs have claimed that he was the one to shoot Kennedy because he was an Ulster Protestant who disliked Kennedy’s Catholic faith — a fact his son admitted to.

Citing Judge Judy, this all doesn’t make sense. We may never know the truth, but it certainly is NOT the official story.

It’s hard not to have a tin foil hat when you read these “pages” that blow the lid. To me, even as a kid, that crappy gun that Oswald purportedly used was prima facie evidence that the story didn’t wash. Now that I know even more about guns, it’d have to be a miracle.
