‘Conspiracy Theories’ Aren’t Theoretical Anymore
By John Green

The national mood in the mid-twentieth century was very different from now.
Not everything was sunny. We had problems that needed attention. That is the nature of human existence after all. But when Ronald Reagan said, “Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem,” we just thought he was promoting self-reliance and highlighting government inefficiency. As I said, we were naïve.

As we watch all this unfold, we know that vast government criminal conspiracies are no longer theoretical. There is nothing demented or delusional about believing our government would willingly facilitate the murder a political threat. The actions of the DoJ in conjunction with the legislation proposed by the Democrats makes that perfectly clear.
The plot to place Donald Trump at the tender mercies of a prison’s “genpop” is not the only evidence of government criminal conspiracy.

Things have changed a lot since the mid-20th century. The children of the 21st century have a completely different worldview.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. doesn’t sound so crazy now that the conspiracies are no longer theoretical.

And lest we forget that JFK was killed by the Deep State to prevent him from ending the Vietnam War and sending LBJ to prison.
Can the USA ever return to its former greatness?
Not very likely, Argh!

You don’t have to be Hegel to know that if the thesis is 100% belief in the media, and the antithesis is 100% disbelief, the correct synthesis is somewhere in between. While the media is obviously paid to lie about a long list of extremely important matters, it also sometimes publishes or broadcasts accurate information, whether by accident or because the billionaires and security wonks at the top of the military-corporate power pyramid don’t really care about suppressing those particular nuggets of truthful information. The sum total of lies and truths told by authorities normally congeals into a somewhat vague and nebulous consensus reality, a set of “public myths” that most people accept and embrace, expressly or tacitly, and use to guide themselves in their collective actions.

He uses the line “today’s soulless atheist-materialist barbarian elite” to describe the new “priestly class” of “celebrities”, “experts”, politicians, and bureaucrats who produce NOTHING while being immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy.
I don’t know where this leads us to anything other than some type of “civil war” for the heart and soul of America.
I doubt that I’ll be around to see the collapse, but it’s surely coming.
I guess we need a criteria to evaluate the tin foil hat “conspiracy theories” per centage probability that they’re true in whole or in part. Remember that some past “conspiracy theories” have been proven true. Some were not completely wrong, And, some are just hanging around. I open to suggestions as to what the scale should be.

A leftist professor wants to limit executive power. This should not be news in the Age of Trump. Every leftist wants to do that, but this leftist might be slightly different. Professor Julia Azari wrote a piece for Vox arguing that the Constitution doesn’t do enough to limit executive power and suggests amending it to do so.

We need to reign in the Executive. The problem is NOT BHO44 or DJT45. The DOWG weren’t perfect and they didn’t do enough to prevent the President from becoming a King. Or worse, a Deity.
I think of how some of my Depression Era relatives “worshiped” FDR and the fights when certain uncles who were war vets pointed out his flaws (i.e., women), claims that just weren’t true (i.e., he saved us from the Depression), and “conspiracy theories” (i.e., he caused Pearl Harbor; he led us into war; he was a socialist that gave away the world at Yalta).
Maybe that where I get my “suspicion” that ALL the Conspiracy Theories have a grain of truth at the core AND SOME even are true!
Argh!
