Arizona mom arrested for criticizing officials at public meeting sues for rights violation

Eat your heart out, North Korea.

An Arizona mom was arrested for violating a bizarre authoritarian-style city law that forbids anyone from criticizing city officials at public meetings — outraging a free speech group that now plans to sue, officials told The Post.

Rebekah Massie, 32, was speaking out against a proposed $12,000 raise for Surprise City Attorney Robert Wingo — who reportedly already earns $266,000 annually — at a city council meeting on Aug. 20, when she was cut off by Mayor Skip Hall.

*** and ***

It wasn’t immediately clear how Massie could be arrested for trespassing at a meeting that was open to the public.

Surprise Police Chief Benny Pina and Mayor Skip Hall didn’t return calls from The Post Friday.

Sgt. Richard Hernandez, a public information officer for the city, told The Post a person may be charged with trespassing if they are asked by a “police officer or the owner of a property” to leave and refuse.

He said the police chief had not asked Massie to leave the meeting — but declined to elaborate on how the law applies to the incident, considering Mayor Hall doesn’t own Surprise City Hall, where the meeting took place.

Governor of Arizona Katie Hobbs. $95,000.

Attorney General of Arizona Kris Mayes. $90,000.

Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes. $70,000.

So why is Surprise City Attorney being paid 266,000?  That’s more than the top THREE state officials.

And, no now seems to understand that the First Amendment applies to the States under the current Supreme Court concept of “incorporation”!

I’ve often thought that Gooferment salaries were out of line and this just proves it.

If I was an Arizona citizen, then I’d insist that no one can be paid MORE than the Governor.  Just like no one should be paid more than the President of the United States.

Argh!

Park rangers and more than 100 volunteers worked together to find a missing eight-year-old Maryland boy who got separated from his family while visiting a cave in Arizona.

Tzion Maron, of Baltimore, went missing near the opening of the Lava River Caves near Flagstaff on Wednesday after his family was unable to locate him in the immediate area, prompting search and rescue crews to be called around 6:15pm.

No details about how he got lost or what he did  — right or wrong.  Would be good for an “after action  —  lessons learned”.

Watching children over the years, I’ve learned (the hard way) to never ever take your eyes off them.  They seem to be able to “disappear” in a heart beat.

Now there are things like Apple air tags and Angel Sense to help.

If you’re not holding their hand, then you better have your eyes on them.

Glad for the good result.  Great help from various groups.  And a lesson to all of us to watch “our” kids.  Even if they are not “ours”.

POLITICAL: I guess “We, The Sheeple” don’t care about honesty in Gooferment politicians and bureaucrats

The Swamp Strikes Back

One example of the evidence contained was the deposition on page 28 of one Richard Salazar, who under penalty of perjury stated that he saw multiple boxes of ballots and cash delivered from a private residence in Tempe, to Runbeck Election Services, the company hired by Maricopa County to assist in the counting of absentee ballots.

The corruption revealed in the presentation needs to be taken seriously and indeed it is, according to Thaler, at least by some people in positions of authority to investigate issues well beyond the election fraud and other aspects stated above.

Certainly seems like EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is corrupt in Arizona.

If the voters don’t care, all is lost.

So sad, “a republic if you can keep it”.

Sigh!

LIBERTARIAN: Separation of powers

How States can Undermine Biden’s Unconstitutional “Ghost Gun” Rule
Tenth Amendment Center by TJ Martinell / January 12, 2023 at 04:06PM

*** begin quote ***

Like President Trump’s bump stock ban in 2018, Biden’s new rule is unconstitutional in more ways than one. First, the Second Amendment specifically prohibits the federal government from infringing on the right to keep and bear arms. Second, this infringement doesn’t even stem from Congress passing a law. Rather, it was carried out by unelected bureaucrats in an executive branch agency who received 211,564 comments during the rulemaking process.

*** end quote ***

My Constitutional objection is to the existence of a Gooferment “agency” that is the rule maker, the prosecutor, and the executioner.  We have a separation of powers to limit the powers of out-of-control politicians and bureaucrats.

In this case the ATF, but there are many many more.

If the ATF wants to make diktats, then some other entity must enforce them and adjudicate them.

Hence, the ATF, as well as the EPA, the DofAg, and others must immediately be shut down until they can be reconstituted consistent with the Constitution.

RANT: Is anyone else tire of being made fools of?

Maricopa or Die

These same top-of-ballot counts were also less than the total votes counted for all U.S. House races.  In the nine Arizona districts, 1,325,000 votes were counted for GOP House candidates, while 1,196,000; 1,271,000; and 1,254,00 were totaled for the Senate, governor, and secretary of state GOP candidates.  Again, the Democrat side showed the normal pattern: more top-of-ballot votes.

The idea that anyone is being fooled by Democrat assertions that our elections are “free and fair” is not believed by most of the American people.  Problems with the election in Arizona have Republicans furious, and a majority of nationwide voters agree that our “sacred right to vote” is at risk.

*** end quote ***

Sad to say, but “elections” are just window dressing. It’s been exposed in numerous examples since LBJ in the 60’s thru to the recent election.

Given that we are now ruled by “tyrants” what can be done  — shut up and ignore it; revolt; malicious compliance; or “national divorce”.I’m personally tired of being made a fool of.

What about you?I’m open to suggestions.

Argh!

POLITICAL: In fact, no one know what the vote truly was!

Though affirming Biden’s 2020 win in the county, the 2021 state Senate audit found:23,344 “mail-in ballots voted from a prior address.”9,041 “more ballots [were] returned by voters than [were]  received.” 5,295 “voters [who] potentially voted in multiple counties.”  2,592 “more duplicates than original ballots.” 2,382 “in-person voters who had moved out of Maricopa County.” The audit also showed that 5,295 voters “potentially voted in multiple counties.”

I don’t understand how the media, politicians, and bureaucrats can say it wasn’t stolen.  If fact they have no #$%^^ idea what the truth is.

Argh!

And this is just one AZ county.  It’s probably the same nation wide.

RANT: Finally somebody is DOING something and it’s not taking forever and costing billions

‘We can’t wait any longer!’: Arizona Governor Doug Ducey starts building $6m makeshift border wall using barb-wire topped shipping containers that will be completed by NEXT WEEK

  • Arizona spans more than 370 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border, and has seen 430,342 migrants detained so far this year in their two sectors
  • The Yuma sector of the border is the third-busiest for migrant crossings: only Rio Grande Valley and Del Rio, both in Texas, have seen more arrivals
  • On Friday, the Republican governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, who is running for re-election in November, announced he was building a makeshift border wall
  • Ducey said that his state had run out of patience with Washington DC and was taking matters into their own hands, with a wall of 60 shipping containers

Arizona began moving in shipping containers to close a 1,000-foot gap in the border wall near the southern Arizona farming community of Yuma on Friday, with officials saying they were acting to stop migrants after repeated, unfulfilled promises from the Biden administration to block off the area.

‘Arizona has had enough,’ tweeted Doug Ducey, the Republican governor of the state, who is up for re-election in November.

‘We can’t wait any longer. The Biden administration’s lack of urgency on border security is a dereliction of duty.’

I feel for two groups of people.  OK maybe three.  First, the poor people of the USA who are competing for job with illegal aliens and suffering from the crime wave that comes with them Second, the poor people of the world trying to come to the USA illegally and are risking their live and paying the Cartels a small fortune to be smuggled in.  Third, and finally, “We, The Sheeple” who are paying for the politicians and bureaucrats to grandstand and all the social costs of illegal aliens.

Argh!
