RANT: WalMart plus an “amazon”!

WalMart promised next day delivery if I ordered in the next 15 minutes but pulled an “amazon” and delayed the delivery. If they didn’t have next day delivery, I wouldn’t have bought it. I needed something that next day; not “delayed”!

More recently, a veiled threat has emerged that China could dump all her US Treasury and agency bonds if the relationship with America deteriorates further. This appears to be a cover for China to reduce her dollar exposure more aggressively. The consequences are a primal threat to the Fed’s policy of escalating monetary policy while maintaining the dollar’s status in the foreign exchanges.

I use two Chrome profiles on my Mac. One has my personal account. The second profile has the Google account that I use for the blog (Analytics and Search Console, etc).

Whenever I have to switch between these two profiles to complete tasks, I tend to use my Mac. It is not easy to do this on a Chromebook. I cannot switch profiles as I do on my Mac or Windows PC.

Maybe I don’t understand the need for “End of Life” on Chromebooks. I’ve discarded two as my secondary machine to my primary Mac Book Air. I’d have thought that Google had created the computer that was closest to an appliance like a toaster. But they threw in the EOL as planned obsolesce. Such a shame, because the EOL ones still work.

I never saw a need for “profiles”.

Alexa “Play Aladdin Soundtrack”

This cause a lot of angst.  Daniel, to whom I’m “pop pop”, watch the original aladdin movie in the car.  As usual, he became enamored of the movie and wanted to hear the music out of the car.

No problem!

I fired up Alexa and ask for “Play Aladdin Soundtrack” and got Will Smith signing?

WTH!

No amount of rephrasing could get the sound that Daniel wanted.

It was until I was in Best Buy today that I found two DIFFERENT Aladin’s — both with the “original cast recording”.

Argh!

Disney cheats.

Maybe it’s a little thing, but I always trusted Disney and they let me down.

So sad!
