NEW YORK — More than one-fifth of millennials in the U.S. — 22 percent — haven’t heard of, or aren’t sure if they’ve heard of, the Holocaust, according to a study published Thursday, on Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day. The study, which was commissioned by The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and conducted by Schoen Consulting, also found that 11 percent of U.S. adults overall haven’t heard of the Holocaust or aren’t sure if they did.

1. Babushka Lady

The ‘Babushka Lady’ is the nickname given to the unidentified woman who was present during the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The woman appeared in numerous films that captured the final moments of Kennedy’s life, she was seen standing, holding a camera to her face even though most of the surrounding witnesses had taken cover. The woman never came forward and despite multiple appeals and an extensive investigation by the FBI, her identity (and what she may know) remains a mystery to this day.

While the A-2039/S-485 bill is complex, in a nutshell it uses a heavy-handed arbitration model to line the pockets of insurance companies while drastically cutting reimbursements to the independent physicians who provide the bulk of emergency care in our state’s 72 emergency rooms. With far fewer specialists available in your local hospitals, it will make the overpriced benefits of all New Jerseyans worthless, as these doctors will not be available at all hours to cover emergencies such as strokes and traumas.

New Jersey’s Business Model
Phil Murphy wants to raise taxes to offer free tuition.
By The Editorial Board
April 6, 2018 6:32 p.m. ET
*** begin quote ***
Herewith the latest installment in our continuing coverage of the race to the bottom between two of America’s most progressive Democratic governors— Dannel Malloy of Connecticut and just-elected Phil Murphy of New Jersey. This week Mr. Murphy made his bid for the lead in his state’s downward cycle.
Governor Murphy has proposed that New Jersey provide what has come to be known as “free” community college. It is already “free” in New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Tennessee. Attached to Governor Murphy’s free-tuition commitment would be an outlay of $45 million in grants, which will come out of the state’s already stretched budget.
Governor Murphy argues that this “investment” makes sense because a larger pool of community-college graduates will attract entrepreneurs and start-ups to New Jersey. “Community college is a linchpin opportunity for us,” he says. Of course making New Jersey’s community colleges free depends on another linchpin: imposing higher taxes on other residents of the state to pay for it.
The budget that Governor Murphy’s submitted last month, a 4.2% spending increase, proposes raising the state’s highest individual tax rate to 10.75% from 8.97% on incomes above $1 million, restructuring business taxes to raise more revenue and raising the sales tax to 7%. That is essentially the governance model Governor Malloy has used since 2011, with famously unfortunate economic results for Connecticut.
New Jersey is already dead last in the Tax Foundation’s 2018 ranking of state overall business tax climates. It’s 50th in property taxes but only 48th in individual taxes. Perhaps Mr. Murphy can overtake New York and California to get to the bottom.

What is Mark Zuckerberg hiding? Facebook secretly deletes some of its founder’s private messages over fears sensitive data may be leaked

Facebook has deleted some of Mark Zuckerberg’s private messages over fears sensitive data could be leaked.
Three sources claim old Facebook messages from Zuckerberg have disappeared from their inbox.
The recipients were not notified – raising concerns about what the Facebook CEO could be hiding.
Facebook claims the change was made after the 2014 Sony Pictures hack, when a mass data breach at the movie studio resulted in embarrassing email histories being leaked.
However, the lack of disclosure has angered some users, along with the absence of a similar tool to recall messages for normal users.

Trump Should Withdraw US Forces from Syria, But He Won’t
Daniel Larison Posted onApril 4, 2018
*** begin quote ***
If Trump did withdraw US forces from Syria, it would be the only good foreign policy decision he has made thus far. The US military presence is illegal. It has no authorization from Congress, no international mandate, and our forces are in the country over the explicit objections of the recognized government. The US military presence is not needed to protect US security interests, which are not threatened by the prospect that the Syrian government might reclaim control over its own territory. No vital American interests are at stake in Syria, and therefore no American lives should be put at risk there. Staying indefinitely in Syria an attempt to oppose Iranian influence in the territory of Iran’s own ally is not only a waste of time, manpower, and resources in a dubious cause, but it is also runs roughshod over international law and the Constitution.

A 46-year-old motorist in the Loire department of central France has been warned he faces two to four months in jail after sticking his middle finger up to two speed cameras back in May 2015.
However while the driver accepted that he was speeding and paid his fines, he denied giving the one-finger salute, known as the doigt d’honneur in French (finger of honour), to two speed cameras at Saint-Forgeux-Lespinasse and Bessay-sur-Allier.
“At that moment, I was talking to my girlfriend, and I was upset because she was talking about her ex-boyfriend. The finger was intended for her,” he said.
The public prosecutor’s office said that even though the driver had already paid his fines for speeding they pressed charges against him for “insulting a person tasked with a public service mission”.

Answer: Superb Fairywrens
In an incredibly clever bid to protect their offspring from parasitic bird species that would dump their young on superb fairywrens and flee, the wrens consistently use special vocalisations while the young wrens are still inside their eggs. Before parasitic birds like the Horsfield’s bronze-cuckoo can drop their eggs off in the nest, the wren’s own babies already know the secret vocalisation pattern by heart.
When all the eggs hatch, the wren chicks incorporate the secret vocalisation pattern into their begging for food and the mother provides the chicks that produce the vocalisation pattern the most accurately with the most food. The parasite’s chicks, on the other hand, don’t know the vocalisation pattern and the mother wren neglects them.

The article advised Miami was going to try a woonerf in a four block area of the Wynwood section.
A woonerf is where cars, bikes, and pedestrians share the pavement on an equal footing.
Sounds strange. But, it works.
Experienced it on my several trips to Novara in northern Italy. Anna’s condo sits in a 1,500 year old building. The building sits on a wide street. Cars, bikes and people move freely over the street. There is no sidewalk. Everyone exercises caution. Cars travel a bit slower.
Never experienced a problem. Never even gave it a thought that the street was being shared by everyone.

Time For A Wake-Up Call: The American Movement Towards Socialism & Communism
by Tyler Durden Sat, 03/17/2018 – 12:46
*** begin quote ***
Just how popular is socialism in America? The majority of millennials are in favor of it. CNN has tweeted about Martin Luther King being a socialist before it was cool to be one. Socialism seems to be the current rage – among those who enjoy all the fruits of capitalism and protection of free speech.
While the wealth created by capitalism is now deemed to be hurtful and unfair, very little is heard about the 20 million people starved and killed under Stalin’s regime. Twenty percent of millennials consider Stalin a hero, and the media does little to dissuade them from this view. Nor does the educational system, which is eager to label American wealth as “white privilege.” History is being glossed over in favor of ideology. Sadly, today’s millennials are more ignorant of history rather than malicious. What is the excuse of teachers and the popular media?
One of the biggest confusion is that socialism and communism are different ideologies. The former may relate more to economics, while the latter is a political system. But, they both include a centralized government as a major tenet, and centralized control is only possible if citizens are denied individual rights. Socialism and communism are both totalitarian regimes that are spelled differently but function alike. It’s where a few elite despots determine the means of production, free speech must be squelched, and no opposition can be tolerated.
If Stalin seems too remote for millennials to grasp, Venezuela exists in the here and now, a graphic example of a socialist paradise.
*** end quote ***

“How cool is socialism. Ask a Venezuelan. Or his pet rabbit.”

The Grim Lessons of Charles Whitman
By Steve Campbell
*** begin quote ***
The era of mass public shootings began with Charles Whitman in 1966. He taught us all we need to know to prevent or minimize such events. We ignored his lessons.
On August first of that year,Whitman rode the elevator to the top of the Clock Tower at the University of Texas at Austin. He rolled a hand truck along with him that carried a footlocker full of guns and ammunition. Soon after ensued the first mass murder in a public place in America.
*** and ***
I. There will be warnings.
II. There are reasons.

The current state of affairs: Paralysis
There have been more and more arms restrictions and regulation. The role of defenders has been taken away from the people and deposited with SWAT teams. Has it improved the situation? Not at all!
Perpetrators are being spotted in advance, but their actions and words are ignored by the very authorities charged with defending the public. Schools are institutionally disarmed and advertised as such. Crimes that would disqualify perpetrators from purchasing weapons under existing laws are not being prosecuted. And some of these shooters seem to have been taking drugs with dangerous side-effects.
*** end quote ***
I found this very persuasive.
We know that there were so many warning signs that the Gooferment, Gooferment Skrules, and society ignored.
We need to looking into the SSRI drugs as the proximate cause of these shooting rampages.
“We, The Sheeple” can’t allow themselves to be stampeded into disarming themselves. We know for a fact that genocide follows citizen disarmament.
We need to emulate Israel and allow ARMED teachers, school staff, and grandparents to protect Gooferment Skrules. “Gun free zones” are just stupid magical thinking.
And, we need to stop depending upon the police and Gooferment bureaucrats as the “first responders” — the People are the true “first responders”.
