HEALTH: Ultra-Fast Genome Sequencing Could Save the Lives of Newborns | WIRED

Tuesday, March 10, 2020

Blue Shield expects that 250 to 500 newborns will be eligible for the whole genome sequencing each year, which represents about 10 percent of their insured babies treated in neonatal intensive care units in California. Company executive vice president Terry Gilliland said he will encourage other Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans around the country to adopt a similar policy. “When you think about all the pain and suffering families go through with sick babies, this is going to be an enormous benefit,” he says.

I can think back to TWO babies in my life who could have used this.  Maybe it could have prevented a one or both fatalities.  And, maybe all the associated heartbreak.

Don’t know how much it costs, but like all technology the cost will come down.

Maybe it can be done on ALL babies as well as in the womb.

God’s gift to humanity, if it becomes so!

HAPPINESS: No fretting, hesitating, calculating, or pontificating

Monday, March 9, 2020

I’ll get “concerned” when “Corona” aka Wuhan virus fatalities reach that of “normal” flue death rates.  Per John Hopkins, flu causes around 50k deaths every year.  Again, mostly among the elderly.

The 24 hour news cycle (“if it bleeds, it leads”) is whipping “We, The Sheeple” into a frenzy.

The stock market has yet to take into account the fantastically low price of oil.  Gas prices, airlines driving cost factor, and trucking expense will drop like a rock.  If I was a retail investor, I’d be buying  — cruise lines, air travel, and consumer goods.  I’d be selling all the “legacy” industries.

IMHO.  In six months, Wuhan will be like the “bird flu”  —  forgotten.  No need to panic.

Just take normal precautions with more attention to the “most common touch points” (i.e., door knobs, ATMs, bars, restaurants, Post Offices, doctors’ offices, and such).  Have to relax; look both ways when you cross the street so as not to get hit by bus or drunken driver.

Calm common sense. ZZZZzzzzz!

GOVERNACIDE: GM blamed Brooke Melton for her death, covered up real cause

Monday, March 9, 2020

“Two years after recalling 30 million cars, GM sold a record 10 million vehicles worldwide and reported a profit of $12.5 billion, which was a record,” Cooper writes. “Even though GM paid a $900 million fine to settle criminal charges with the Justice Department, no individual was ever charged with a crime.”

Isn’t the Gooferment supposed to be like the sports referee?  Calling fair or foul in the cases before them.  Well this meme is destroyed in this particular case.  The Gooferment allowed this to be covered up and no individual was held accountable.

Does this illustrate the incestuous relationship between the corporation and the Gooferment?

Remember that GM was derisively called “Gooferment Motors” after BHO44 screwed the GM bondholders and “saved” GM from bankruptcy.  The Gooferment had a bias in favor of GM’s continued existence.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Why, Oh Why, Is Daylight Savings Time Still a Thing? | The Mary Sue

Sunday, March 8, 2020

Marco Rubio of all people has proposed a bill to make DST permanent and “lock the clock,” but as with most things in Congress, it’s stalled. But it shouldn’t be. Making DST permanent might be one of the few things both sides of the aisle can agree on, so here’s hoping that the bill gets more attention and movement as we go back to daylight savings time this weekend. Hopefully, we won’t have to fall back again.

I don’t understand why we don’t just use GMT all the time everywhere.  It would simplify everything everywhere.

Now there will be some “adaption” to different labels (i.e., “9 to 5” may become “14 to 20”) but who cares.

The military has been using ZULU for forever.

Separate the Gooferment from the Clock.

GOVERNACIDE: The Teenage Girls Who Seduced and Killed Nazis

Saturday, March 7, 2020

In 1943, the sisters were joined by a third female member of their resistance cell, Hannie Schaft- a woman who would go on to be one of the most famous Dutch resistance members in all of WWII, with her activities seeing her marked for death by Hitler himself.

GUNSTeens beat a 15-year-old girl before stealing her sneakers and phone

Authorities have released surveillance footage of several young boys attacking a 15-year-old girl in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. They also stole her shoes and phone.

That’s why the Dead Old White Guys wanted folks to have guns.

Let’s imagine we are not in the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee, os as in this case the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerk, and this young woman was “packing heat”.   Say a “small 380” like a RUGER – LCP II with 7 in the magazine.  OK, rerun the incident.  The mob of 20 chase her, she stops, pulls out her gun, and takes a firing stance.  Who’s going to be first to rush her?  No one ever wants to be down range of a crazy woman with a gun; let alone one who’s in fear for her life!  True, she only has seven shots. But I assume she’ll have extra mags. I bet the “mob” will beat feet for safer targets.  And so what if she “puts down a few animals”?  I’m pro-choice and pro-life, but the RKBA means the right to be secure in your person.  Aggressors have no rights.

I’m firmly convince this would have be  another in yet a long list of DGUs (Defensive Gun Use) incidents where no shots are fires and the threat disappears.

GOVERNACIDE: Coronavirus: Who is controlling your information? (PODCAST) | Sharyl Attkisson

Tuesday, March 3, 2020

Is the government giving us the full picture on Coronavirus and other health epidemics?Government officials haven’t always done so in the past when it came to swine flu and flu shots.Do you trust them to control your information online?

Source: Coronavirus: Who is controlling your information? (PODCAST) | Sharyl Attkisson

# – # – # – # – #

In a podcast that is sure to reignite the vax – antivax debate, Sharyl Attkisson blows the lid off what should be a national expose.  In this podcast, she demonstrates that the politicians and bureaucrats are controlling what information “We, The Sheeple” can find online, that they are deliberately overstating the number of coronavirus infections — “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” — Rahm Emanuel —, and that the regular flu vaccine kills older over-65 people.  AND that the Gooferment knows it is doing this.

Time for draining the swamp.  The CDC, FDA, and all the others involved to be terminated.  Not reprimanded, demoted, or give any other slap in the risk.  They can’t be trusted to work at a McDonald’s without retraining.

I’ve always been suspicious of the safety of ALL vaccines because of the mere existence of the  “Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System”!

Now Attkisson has reported the overstatement of the coronavirus numbers as well as the problems when FDS / CDC “fast track” approvals.

The Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy.

This just proves how you can’t trust the Gooferment with your health and your life.

No flu shots for me.

INNOVATION: Forget leap day, there’s a serious plan to replace it with an extra week

Monday, March 2, 2020

At a glance, having a permanent calendar that’s the same year to year makes sense, and February has arguably been getting short shrift for far too long. But what about those extra weeks every few years? How does that even work? Unless companies are going to report earnings for a special seven-day period, it seems most logical that we just shut everything down for those days and hit the beach. And as if all this weren’t enough, the duo also propose doing away with both daylight savings time and time zones in favor of Universal Time (essentially the UK’s time zone) being used worldwide, everywhere.

Source: Forget leap day, there’s a serious plan to replace it with an extra week

I can certainly agree with the elimination of time zones!  They are just dumb.

A new and improved calendar is worth considering.  (imho)

Another Whistleblower Suicide: the Immediate and Unquestioned State Narrative of Philip Haney’s Death – LewRockwell

Sunday, March 1, 2020

SECOND OF TWO BLOG POSTS ON THIS TOPIC — SPECIFIC RANT ABOUT “Philip Haney”

*** begin quote ***

The latest so-called “suicide,” which has all the markings of a planned assassination, is that of Philip Haney. Haney was a whistleblower, and one of the founders of Homeland Security. He was a true insider that had evidence, and wrote about it in his book, “See Something, Say Nothing,” about the Obama administration’s orders to destroy the raw material that had been collected concerning Islamic terrorist groups.

*** and ***

Philip Haney was, according to those that knew him, a very happy man, had just recently gotten engaged to be married, and was attempting to publish a follow-up to his tell-all book. But do I know for a fact that he did not commit suicide?

*** and ***

The Epstein story was disappeared almost immediately, and held much more interest to the ignorant masses, so how long before this likely murder is disappeared from view?

*** end quote ***

# – # – # – # – #

Here’s the story about the death.

Here’s another “apparent suicide” that does seem to be “kosher”.

Like Epstein, it doesn’t make any sense.  Happy about to be married?

Convenient for BHO44 that he “suicided”, maybe it’s like ARKAN-cide?

If anyone decides to be a whistleblower, then they better have a depot of data “in case of my death”.

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: New FAA drone rule is a giant middle finger to aviation hobbyists | Ars Technica

Sunday, March 1, 2020

In many cases, it may not even be possible for people to upgrade their existing aircraft to the new standard. The FAA rule states that a compliant drone needs to have a serial number that was issued by the device’s manufacturer in compliance with the new rules. Yet many RC aircraft are built by small companies who never intended to get into the commercial drone business. They might not have the technical resources to comply with the new standards or the legal resources to get FAA approval.

Saturday, February 29, 2020

FIRST OF TWO BLOG POSTS ON THIS TOPIC — GENERAL RANT ABOUT “Conspiracy Theories”

It seems due to the brainwashing of the American commoner, and the almost total indoctrination machine of the state that is used to dumb down the populace at large, that apathy has become so rampant as to allow the general acceptance of fallacious state narratives. These narratives that concern the very suspicious deaths of any that challenge the ruling class or their political puppets, and almost without question, seem to be never-ending these days. There are an unbelievable number of victims of so-called “apparent suicides,” assassinations, outright murder, disappearance, strange car crashes, poisonings, and any other number of unlikely death scenarios of those that have damning information about the state, its wars, and its secrets, and have the guts to tell the truth. Coincidence is no longer a reasonable argument concerning these deaths, and actually never has been legitimate.

# – # – # – # – #

I’m fed up with the Establishment, the Deep State, Politicians, and Bureaucrats feeding us “barbara streisand” and expecting us to take it without question, confirmation, evidence, or even “reasonability”.  “Don’t Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining” … book title by the pre-eminent jurist of our day Ms. Judy Sheindlin.  That’s how I feel. She’s also famous for: “If it doesn’t make sense, it’s not true.

I think the reason, that “Conspiracy Theories” take root and hand on, is that they try to apply “common sense” to what appears implausible, impossible, or just a ridiculous explanation that we are supposed to believe and shut up.

Over the years, I’ve been building a taxonomy of the various “Conspiracy Theories” (e.g., JFK; Pearl Harbor; Lusitania) and their subsections — like 9/11 has the 1&2 WTC collapse, Pentagon, 7WTC, and the Saudi-gate (both the connection to the Saudi Royals and that they were hustled out before they could be questioned)!!!

This article has nice set of “attributes” — “apparent suicides,” assassinations, outright murder, disappearance, strange car crashes, poisonings, and any other number of unlikely death scenarios!

I’m going to get more rigorous on that taxonomy.

The CIA Coined the Term Conspiracy Theorist In 1967. Just to discredit objections.

Well that doesn’t work with me.  I’ll just adjust my tin foil hat and keep asking questions.
