You don’t have to believe that it is “partisan” to demand a verified paper trail for every election, to want a better assurance that your vote will be properly counted, than — the nothing at all you get when think that you have made your choice, and when you walk away from a “DRE” without a “VVPAT”.

It may well be that millions of Americans will “shout” their choices publicly by posting a public image of their vote on a public platform; maybe not; but again, the fact that there will be independent verification, whether it is of public or private archives, or a mixture that is up to the choice of the citizens, will chill the plans of voting-day evildoers.

Then in time, God willing, we will all go back to paper. With receipts.

And yes, O elites, we’ll go back to doing our vote counting the way it has been done for most of our nation’s history: not with “experts” and “officials” alone counting the vote, not with corrupted media prematurely announcing the winner — but rather with citizens counting the verifiable votes — yes;

I don’t trust any “computer system” to be “honest”.  

So let’s get back to paper.

I have no problem with a digital device that prepares ballot that is readable by the human being.

Given that scanners can OCR stuff with high precision that can speed the process.  

Add voter id and “Election Day” (I,e,: not election month).

The system should be verifiably trustworthy.

How does crime maim a great city like Chicago? Let us count the ways.

For starters, regular visits to the excellent news website cwbchicago.com reveal a comprehensive, if depressing, chronicle of murders, robberies, assaults, carjackings, drag races on city streets and other crimes exacting a terrible toll on the city that used to work. And all too frequently, accounts of children cut down by stray bullets sprayed by punk gunslingers.

Or track the numbers, as the Sun-Times does with murders. It counts 578 people killed in Chicago so far in 2022. That rate is down a bit from the last two years but still way ahead of the toll before the Antifa/Black Lives Matter riots blighted American city centers with looting, arson, assault, an explosion of crime and the defund the police movement crippling law enforcement across the land.

Or there’s the regular Monday adding up of the previous weekend’s mayhem and havoc. The most recent weekend tally — 35 people shot, five of them fatally, according to ABC-Chicago.

Or there’s the outbreak of fear-inducing crime in neighborhoods once deemed safe, like Chicago’s affluent Lakeview neighborhood in the shadow of world-famous Wrigley Field

There were five separate armed robber/abduction/kidnappings reported there recently over a couple of days.

Or there’s the soon-to-be unleashed wave of criminals returning to the streets under Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s bill to eliminate cash bail, a measure opposed by virtually every state’s attorney in Illinois — except of course the criminal-coddling Cook County alleged prosecutor Kim Foxx.

Or, speaking of far-left extremist George Soros’ favorite Chicagoan, a CWB Chicago analysis shows that on Foxx’s watch, the average sentence for carjackings is 9.4 years, down from 12.4 years in the seven years before she became Cook County state’s attorney.

On and on it goes, the ways to count Chicago’s misery from crime.

Braxton / Guiliani cleaned up NYC by focusing on crimes and removing the bad element of society.

I can’t imagine living in Chicago which is like a third world shithole with rampant crime.

Liberal DA’s are doing “We, The Sheeple” no favors.  Why bother arresting people if they can be back out on the street before the paperwork is done?

Violent crimes should require some bail that is tiered based on the crime, likelihood of reoffending, and will they show up for court.  Repeat offenders already out on bail or probation should be remanded.

Let’s take a few average JoeSixpacks in the court to decide if they agree with the bail recommendations?  That should be entertaining.  Put it on Pay Per View or have a live TV show vote.

There’s no transcript of @Laura Logan’s rant but in a nutshell she points to human trafficking of children across the border who then “disappear” to who knows where. 

That’s upsetting and outrageous.  These children are human beings and deserve to be treated humanely.

It also brings to mind Epstein’s and Maxwell’s “little black book of Clients” that has never been disclosed.

The Gooferment is immoral, ineffective, and inefficient. As well as untrustworthy. And, this lady needs o ur support to expose the truth.

As if there has not already been enough official fuckery over the lab-birthed Covid-19 virus, the CDC’s Vaccine Advisory Committee voted on Thursday to add Pfizer’s and Moderna’s mRNA shots to its childhood vaccine schedule.

The vote was 15 to 0 — a final supreme gesture of contempt for the people of this land.

Had none of the committee members seen reports of mRNA-vaccinated children dropping dead from myocarditis induced by the vaccines? Or read about the effect of the vaxxes on the reproductive organs? Or the enhanced incidence of cancer? Or heard about the damage that the shots instigate in human immune systems? If not, that would be astounding. The news is all over the place (if not in the mainstream news media). Was any of this discussed in their deliberations? I don’t think so, but we may never know.

Hopefully, “We, The Sheeple” will NOT “vax” anyone any more. It may take decades to get “the truth”.  Like JFK’s assassination, we may never know.

Excellent and very important points. At the very least there have to be more checks placed on power, at all levels. Term limits are essential, but is just one of many, many things that have to change.

As an incomplete but initial list I would place:

1. Strict irreversible term limits, with a cap on the total number of cumulative years in all offices combined (NO CAREER POLITICIANS, EVER). This should include heads of agencies etc., (e.g. no Anthony Fauci type careers).

2. Each and every agency has to have hiring done by a revolving citizens committee and cannot do their own hiring, ever. It’s an essential step to prevent a deep state bureaucracy.

3. No guaranteed government pensions. Every government employee should be on a 401K type plan like the rest of us.

4. All government salaries, at all levels should be determined by a public vote.

5. No city or region in the nation can have more than 2 government agencies, and the locations of those agencies should reflect the regional diversity of the nation.

6. Absolutely no insider trading of any type. Those holding federal office cannot hold or trade securities (etc.) unless done within a private trust that they have no input into or intimate knowledge of.

7. Voting must be done in person, except for the military, with at least 2 official forms of identification. Knowingly participating in fraudulent voting at any level is an automatic unappealable year in prison, at minimum.

These are just an initial list. There are many, many more things that have to be addressed and codified. In general, being in public office should have very, very few perks, and the fundamental principle that all in public office are employees who serve at the pleasure of the citizens needs to be front row and center and in the face of anyone who wants to pursue public office at any level. The stature of politicians should be no more than anyone else in society.

I like that idea.

Everyone knows that in January 49 BC Julius Caesar, about to lead part of his army across the Rubicon river, said “Alea iacta est,” “the die is cast.” Except that, according to Plutarch, what he really said was “Ἀνερρίφθω κύβος,” “let the die be cast,” and he did not so much say it as quote it, since the already-proverbial line came from the Greek playwright Menander. Anyway, in bringing an army across the stream that separated cis-Alpine Gaul from Italy proper, Caesar had committed treason. Contemplating the recent actions of our secret police, known to some as the FBI, I have often wondered where to locate their Rubicon. Was it when they conducted a dawn raid against Roger Stone, having been careful to alert CNN beforehand so they could be on hand to publicize the attack? Maybe it was when they burst into the apartment of Project Veritas’s James O’Keefe, throwing him out in the hallway in his pajamas, while they ransacked his home looking for a diary kept by Joe Biden’s daughter? Or perhaps it was when they arrested former Trump aide Peter Navarro, throwing him in handcuffs and leg irons before depositing him in jail? Or when they accosted the lawyer John Eastman and confiscated his cell phone? That seems to have become a favorite pastime of the FBI, seizing people’s cell phones. Just a couple of days ago, they took Representative Scott Perry’s phone. “But,” you point out, “Perry is a Republican and Trump ally. He has no property rights.”

But the question remains: will the American people accept that the FBI has become the Praetorian Guard for the regime? I don’t know. I hope not. Harvey Silverglate is right: given its history of lawless behavior, “it is remarkable that no sitting president has moved to abolish the FBI.” Of course, it won’t happen on Biden’s, er, watch (or during his naps). But one way or another, the FBI must be dismantled. “We need an entirely new agency,” as Silverglate observed, “and a director who has no history of having worked in or with the FBI. Agency culture is a powerful force, and if we are to have any success in ridding the nation of this menace, we best eradicate it completely and start over.”

“Eradicate it completely and start over.” I couldn’t agree more. Will this partisan assault on a once (and possibly future) president be the Rubicon we’ve been waiting for? Let’s see.

It has definitely crossed the line and demonstrated that it’s now a political tool.  That’s what the Dead Old White Guys feared most — “private militias”.  Rogue “law enforcement”.  Tyrants with their “standing armies”.

It’s up to the next President and Congress to tear this agency down and, where important and salvageable, move components to appropriate places.

The Federal Gooferment needs to return to it’s very limited nightwatchman’s role.

It does that by eleimating whole Departments.  Education and Agriculture come immediately to mind.  Followed by the FDA, CDC, BATF, Homeland Security, and even the Department of Energy.
