The criminal class isn’t going to be dissuaded by pieces of paper. Look at “restraining orders”, DWI convictions, or drug prohibition. That works well. Right?

Argh!

OH: Woman, 70, kills intruder at motel
Columbus Dispatch

“The 70-year-old woman who shot a would-be robber at a North Side motel last night is attending the All-American Quarter Horse Congress today and feels sick about the shooting, according to her son. … Sgt. Eric Pilya of the homicide squad said the woman was in a motel room with four or five others and they’d cracked open the door to get fresh air. Pilya said a man barged into the room, demanding money from those inside. Police said the woman, from southern Ohio, grabbed a gun that she had in the room and shot Wayne Winston, 25, of Columbus, who staggered into the parking lot of the motel and died. … No charges had been filed. Pilya said it’s likely that the case will be presented to a Franklin County grand jury to see whether the woman should be charged.” (10/22/09)

The Best Gun in the World
by Terence Gillespie

*** begin quote ***

Like most tools there’s an optimal gun for every task under the sun. The task here is to ensure you’ll always have it with you when you need it. This article will talk about the features of a gun tool that will get that job done. And yes, I have a specific make and model in mind.

Is the one you have with you.

Yup, it is THE HAVING one when you need it that counts.

And, I beleive we will ALL be needing them soon. DId you she that bystander child get killed by in a Chicago gang fight? Bet he could have used a gun to save his life!

Many Gun Owners, the State and Media Agree; 2a Is No Longer Relevant
by Michael Gaddy

*** begin quote ***

When I decided to write this article, I did not contact the government, submit to a background check, submit fingerprints, take a government endorsed writing class and pay for permission. What is the difference in the exercise of my inalienable right to free speech and my inalienable right to keep and bear arms? The difference is: the state currently fears my ability to resist tyranny with a firearm more than with words, but as we can see from the reaction of the government and its media lackeys to the spoken objections to the tyranny of socialized medicine, that is about to change.

Luckily, rights are not up for “agreement”. They are “inalienable”.

From my cold dead hand!

GA: Schoolteacher exchanges gunfire with carjackers
Atlanta Journal-Constitution

*** begin quote ***

“A DeKalb County schoolteacher carjacked early Sunday scored a measure of revenge against his attackers — thanks in part to their poor sense of direction. Derek Harper, 47, had just returned to his Lithonia home around 1:15 a.m. when two unidentified gunmen surprised him from behind, forcing the Evansdale Elementary teacher out of his car and onto the ground, demanding money. ‘After they figured out I didn’t have any cash on me they got into my van,’ he said. His narrow garage helped Harper sneak away. ‘One of them was having trouble getting into the passenger’s side, so while he was doing that I took off,’ said Harper, also the assistant track coach at Stephenson High. As he ran the gunmen started firing, striking Harper once in the arm before speeding off in his van, heading directly toward a dead end on Phillips Place. Knowing they’d be forced to turn around, Harper ran inside and grabbed his .380 pistol. ‘I was waiting for them,’ he said. Harper estimates he fired two to three bullets, which might have contributed to the driver crashing the van less than a block away.” (08/03/09)

Akron police investigate teen mob attack on family
By Phil Trexler
Beacon Journal staff writer
POSTED: 07:44 p.m. EDT, Jul 07, 2009

*** begin quote ***

Akron police say they aren’t ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.

But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.

It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend’s home in South Akron.

Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ”This is our world” and ”This is a black world” as they confronted Marshall and his family.

The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black.

”This was almost like being a terrorist act,” Marshall said. ”And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?”

They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall’s friend as he stood outside with the others.

When Marshall, 39, jumped in, he found himself being attacked by the growing group of teens.

His daughter, Rachel, 15, who weighs about 90 pounds, tried to come to his rescue. The teens pushed her to the ground.

His wife, Yvonne, pushed their son, Donald, 14, into bushes to keep him protected.

”My thing is,” Marshall said, ”I didn’t want this, but I was in fear for my wife, my kids and my friends. I felt I had to stay out there to protect them, because those guys were just jumping, swinging fists and everything.

”I’m lucky. They didn’t break my ribs or bruise my ribs. I thank God, they concentrated on my thick head because I do have one. They were trying to take my head off my spine, basically.”

After several minutes of punches and kicks, the attack ended and the group ran off. The Marshalls’ two adult male friends were not seriously hurt.

”I don’t think I thought at that moment when I tried to jump in,” Rachel Marshall said. ”But when I was laying on the ground, I was just scared.”

Marshall was the most seriously injured. He suffered a concussion and multiple bruises to his head and eye. He said he spent five nights in the critical care unit at Akron General Medical Center.

The construction worker said he now fears for his family’s safety, and the thousands of dollars in medical bills he faces without insurance.

”I knew I was going to get beat, but not as bad as I did,” Marshall said. ”But I did it to protect my family. I didn’t have a choice. There was no need for this. We should be all getting along. But to me, it seems to be racist.”

Akron police are investigating. Right now, the case is not being classified as a racial hate crime. There were no other reports of victims assaulted by the group that night.

The department’s gang unit is involved in the investigation, police said.

”We don’t know if it’s a known gang, or just a group of kids,” police Lt. Rick Edwards said.

The Marshalls say they fear retaliation at home or when they go outside. They are considering arming themselves, but they’re concerned about the possible problems that come with guns.

For now, they are hoping police can bring them suspects. They believe they can identify several of the attackers.

”This makes you think about your freedom,” Marshall said. ”In all reality, where is your freedom when you have this going on?”

Akron police say they aren’t ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.

But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.

Instead of being unarmed victims, guns would have ended the attack in seconds. It’s no doubt that the attackers were using deadly force. If every adult and responsible teenager had a weapon, they could have defended themselves.

Then, I’m sure we would have seen Al Sharpton protesting that these were just innocent students out celebrating Obama’s election.

I find this very depressing. It’s the beginning of race riots.

The Second Amendment says these people have a RIGHT to keep and bear arms. To protect themselves.

What if they had killed the breadwinner. Now he’s stuck for medical bills as a crime victim. Society didn’t do a good job of protecting him for his allegiance. And liberal politicians take away our gun rights every change they get!

Argh, sheeple.

GUNS: Who is responsible for personal safety?

Remember, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

*** end quote ***

Why do people feel they don’t need to defend themselves?

A gun is the “great equalizer”.

Maybe if we armed women, maybe if we taught “guns 101” in school, maybe if we forced people to take responsibility for their own safety … then just maybe crime would be miniscule.

Conservation officers in Squamish, B.C., continue to hunt for two more cougars after a rash of attacks, including one in which a mother fought off an attack on her daughter, 3, who couldn’t understand why the big kitty didn’t want to “play nice.”

Cougar gets three to the gut. Then there is no question WHICH cougar attacked.

I’m sure two legged varmints would steer clear as well.

Sheeple? Wander around like it’s their God given right to be immune from consequences! Argh!!

GUN: Women’s rights

“The gun is the great equalizer. It is the only tool that puts a 100 pound woman on the same level as a 250 pound rapist. Women’s self defense courses, emergency call boxes, and mace cannot compare to the power of a gun in a woman’s hands.”
