GUNS: Woman and firearms

Just for women: 23 Truths about Firearms

*** begin quote ***

9. Your safety is your responsibility. Not your husband’s, nor the police, nor your kids.

*** and ***

11. If a gun isn’t possible or desirable in your circumstances, come up with Plan B. One of my friends keeps a baseball bat near the front seat of her minivan. Another always has the most powerful pepper spray on the market in her purse, and yet another keeps an 18″ length of steel rebar wedged between the driver’s seat of her car and the middle console. Whatever your choice, always be aware of the location of your weapon, practice using it, and be comfortable with the thought that one day you may have to use it.

12. Don’t listen to celebrities and politicians who go on hysterical anti-gun rants. Remember, they can afford armed bodyguards and state-of-the-art home security systems. (Interesting that it’s okay if their bodyguards are armed but they don’t think law-abiding citizens should be able to own and carry guns.) I am my kid’s armed bodyguard.

*** and ***

Are there any other truths I’ve missed?

*** end quote ***

The three S’s? (Shoot, shovel, and shutup!)

“Gun control” = “Victim Disarmament”

“Victim disarmament is the view that it is somehow better to see a woman raped in an alley and strangled with her own pantyhose, than see her with a gun in her hand.” — T.D. Melrose

The woman who’s hunted can become the hunter.

“God made men and women; Sam Colt made them equal.”

“Gun control has nothing to do with guns and everything to do with control.” — Mark Steyn

“For the cost of one of those expensive phones, one person could have ended this shooting spree.” referring to the Norwegian massacre. Like most “shooting incidents”, disarmed people are allowed to be slaughtered. Misguide liberal fantasies prevent good honest people a fighting chance to defend themselves.

Who, in their right mind, would want to be on receiving end of some crazy woman’s “pea shooter”? Even wearing a vest wouldn’t be a guarantee of safety. Ever seen how people shoot? While they may aim for the center of mass, that isn’t where the bullet always winds up.

You know the politicians have armed bodyguards. But that’s denied to the common folks — the Mundanes. Like the Warsaw Ghetto Jews. Waiting to be murdered.

Guns are just another tool.

And, as Heinlein wrote: “An armed society is a polite society.”

GUNS: Packs of Wild Dogs threaten Saint Louis children?

Are Packs of Wild Dogs Roaming the North Side Of St. Louis?
Kevin Killeen, KMOX News

*** begin quote ***

St. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Ten years after a fourth-grade boy was attacked and nearly eaten alive by wild dogs in north St. Louis, city leaders are scrambling to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Aldermanic President Lewis Reed is sounding the alarm. “I’ve witnessed packs of dogs, 10 and 15 dogs running together, and I’ve seen all these dogs I’m talking about they don’t have collars, they don’t have tags, these are truly wild dogs,” he said.

*** end quote ***

Are you kidding me?

Americans are being terrorized by varmints. Pioneer Americans must be rolling over in their graves. Using golf clubs to protect the children.

A young child can’t protect themselves?

A 22 is enough to take down any dog.

An adult with any handgun should be able to dispatch any threat. A pack might require a high capacity magazine.

But this should be a short lived threat.

Remember what the Chinese call dogs …. “DINNER”!

“We, The Sheeple” have become wimps.

GUN: Shot the wolf in the head with a 44-Magnum

Idaho Bowhunter Reportedly Kills Charging Wolf

KALISPELL, Mont. — Idaho wildlife officials say six wolves have been killed since wolf hunting season started there, but they say one wolf might not have been part of the hunt.

Pictures sent in to NBC Montana show a woman posing next to an adult wolf carcass.

The viewer claims the woman was bow-hunting in Northern Idaho when the wolf saw her and charged. She reportedly dropped her bow and shot the wolf in the head with a 44-Magnum.

*** end quote ***

Yup it’s a dangerous world out there.

Four legged predators.

The hunter becomes the hunted.

And, “God made men and women; Sam Colt made them equal.”

Nice to see that there are some folks in this world that have their heads screwed on straight.

Personally, I trust women to go armed ANYWHERE.

Predators sometimes only have two legs.

That’s what the Second is all about!

I’m sure either variety would have been suitably “impressed” with the 44 Magnum.

GUNS: Concealed Carry Recognition Bill

Rep. Paul Broun Introduces Concealed Carry Recognition Bill

Pro-gun champion Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) recently introduced a concealed carry recognition bill, H.R. 2900, that allows law-abiding citizens who can legally carry concealed in their home state to carry all across the country, as well.

*** end quote ***

It would seem that since driver’s license are accepted across the fifty states that gun licenses would the same thing.

Of course, a proper reading of the Second Amendment would make this law unnecessary.

Guns are just another tool.

Why should the Gooferment monopolize the right of self-defense?

GUNS: Five Gunwalker Questions

Five Gunwalker Questions the Media Won’t Ask, and the Obama Administration Won’t Answer
by Bob Owens

*** begin quote ***

The scandal is not complicated, and would be revealed by the answering of five simple questions that the media dare not demand answers to from this Administration.

1. Who came up with the idea of allowing guns to be purchased by straw purchasers and then “walked” across the border by smugglers?

2. Who authorized Operation Fast and Furious in the Department of Justice?

3. Who authorized Operation Fast and Furious in the Department of Homeland Security?

4. Is Operation Fast and Furious the only operation of its type, or were there similar operations in Texas, Florida, and other states as evidence suggests?

5. What, precisely, did Barack Obama, Eric Holder, and Janet Napolitano know about Operation Fast and Furious, and when did they know it?

*** end quote ***

All gun owners, who put up with the abrogation of their Second Amendment by the BATF, are entitled to the truth.

Arlington man who fatally shot burglar gets 12 years for murder
By Diana Hefley, Herald Writer

*** begin quote ***

EVERETT — In the end, a judge decided that the case wasn’t about a murder.

What Keira Earhart did was more akin to manslaughter, Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Larry McKeeman concluded on Wednesday. He sentenced the Arlington man to a dozen years in prison — three years below the standard range.

Earhart shot Ryan Rzechula in the back on Nov. 16, 2009. Earhart, 39, encountered Rzechula about three hours after a break-in at his Arlington house, a quarter-mile away. Earhart had gone looking for the burglar and his wife’s missing jewelry. He suspected that Rzechula, 25, was responsible for the break-in and called 911.

*** end quote ***

“Shoot, shovel, and shut up” only applies if you can get to shovel without interruption. Humans generally attract more attention. Especially if you call 911.

If you call the donut eaters, you have to be happy with their “service”.

Plus pursuit is dumb since the perp may have acquired a bigger better gun.

That “three hours” is going to weigh against him.

Too bad since now we’ll have to listen to all the anit-gun propaganda.

But, there’s a fine balance to be found here.

But what were the donut eaters doing for these businessmen? Taking reports.

If we ended the “(pseudo) War on (some) Drugs” then theft probably wouldn’t necessary to support a habit.

All signs point at the stupidity of the diktats of the politicians and bureaucrats!

GUNS: Norway massacre; a failure to defend oneself

Norway: ‘At least 87’ killed in terror attacks
Gunman massacres teenagers at summer camp after explosion rocks centre of Oslo.
By Damien McElroy, Foreign Affairs Correspondent12:05AM BST 23 Jul 2011

*** begin quote ***

Relations and friends of those caught up in the attack were warned not to phone in case the ringing gave away the location of those hiding from the gunman.

“We were in the grass. We had to be quiet as we hid,” said Lisa Irene Johansen, one of the crowd. “He was wearing a police uniform, with a shooting vest, and there was complete panic as he shot.”

*** end quote ***

Score another massacre for the “no guns” culture.

For the cost of one of those expensive phones, one person could have ended this shooting spree.

I don’t understand people. Self-defense is both a RIGHT and a RESPONSIBILITY.

And, the beauty of allowing people to defend themselves, the whole flock of Sheeple are defended.

Even a girlie 380 “pocket rocket”, aimed badly at the killer, could have turned the day. Surely the killer had to reload? To kill 80+.

When do “We, The Sheeple” wake up and say enough is enough. Wishing guns away works as well as wishing drugs away.

“An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.” —- Robert A. Heinlein

Good people, when permitted to defend themselves, will defend civil society.

I’d even assert that the mere POSSIBILITY of a “few sheepdog in the flock” would be enough to discourage criminals.

Who’d want to be on receiving end of some crazy woman’s “pea shooter”? Even wearing a vest wouldn’t be a guarantee of safety. Ever seen how people shoot? While the may aim for the center of mass, that isn’t where the bullet always winds up.

I’m for unrestricted carry.

Don’t tell me we need instacheck; that means that the criminals buy guns on the street where they always have.

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Now that’s a “beauty queen”. No one should have to kill a fellow human being. But self-defense here did what all the Gooferment courts could NOT — protect her rights. How does that bumper sticker go “God made man and woman; Sam Colt made them equal”! Florida is catching up on NH for my affection with the Castle Doctrine. (Defend your home and the Gooferment bureaucrats can’t bother you. Nor can the dead guy sue.) “Better judged by 12 than carried by six”.

Armed Beauty Queen Fatally Shoots Intruder in Florida Home Invasion
By Cristina Corbin
Published March 22, 2011

*** begin quote ***

When a burly ex-convict forced his way into a posh Florida home last week, he had no idea what awaited him — a 25-year-old beauty queen with a pink .38-caliber handgun.

*** and ***

Brown, who reigned as the 2009 Miss Tierra Verde, snatched her gun from a nearby bedroom and shot the suspect several times – hitting him in the chest, groin, thigh and back, her fiance said. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.

*** and ***

Panthaber, meanwhile, said he and his fiancee are lucky to be alive. He said he purchased the pink handgun for Brown last Christmas and that the two had gone to target practice together.

“She was not a good shot at the range,” he quipped.

*** end quote ***

Good enough. Only four shots. She may have violated an old “rule of thumb” that I quoted in Church:

“Ask God’s help between each pull of the trigger. I like “JMJHELP’ myself. Feel free to select your own short one. This rifle has eight shots. When the clip springs out, it’s empty. You should play dead. Lay as flat as you can and pray. Someday, someone may kill you with your own weapon. But they should have to beat you to death with it. Because it’s empty.”

Keep shooting until the weapon is dry.

:-)

That book really does have everything I know in it. Somewhere.

Get armed; stay alive and protect your loved ones. Remember “Dial 911 and die”.

GUNS: The heck with “wasp spray”; get a gun and practice

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

SOMEONE FORWARDED SOME INTERNET “ADVICE”:

*** begin quote ***

Note: Read all the way to the bottom, wasp spray and key fob are the best ideas of all!

There are some really great tips here: The best are near the end. Common sense applied in a vigorous way.

*** begin “advice” ***

THIRTEEN THINGS YOUR BURGLAR WON’T TELL YOU

If you don’t have a gun, here’s a more humane way to wreck someone’s evil plans for you. (I guess I can get rid of the baseball bat.):

WASP SPRAY

A friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area was concerned about someone coming into the office on Monday to rob them when they were counting the collection. She asked the local police department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that she get a can of wasp spray instead.

The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is a lot more accurate, while with the pepper spray, they have to get too close to you and could overpower you. The wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the hospital for an antidote. She keeps a can on her desk in the office and it doesn’t attract attention from people like a can of pepper spray would. She also keeps one nearby at home for home protection. Thought this was interesting and might be of use.

*** and ***

Put your car keys beside your bed at night. Tell your spouse, your children, your neighbors, your parents, your Dr.’s office, the check-out girl at the market, everyone you run across. Put your car keys beside your bed at night.  If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies. This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It’s a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage. If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won’t stick around. After a few seconds all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won’t want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

P.S. I am sending this to everyone I know because I think it is fantastic. Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can’t reach a phone. My Mom has suggested to my Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn’t hear him. He can activate the car alarm and then she’ll know there’s a problem.

*** end “advice” ***

*** end quote ***

I’ve read the “wasp spray” advice before.

In the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee and other of the socialist states, you can’ do that legally. (Don’t yell at me. I don’t make the diktats.) It gives the presumption of preplanning.

AND, in line with the great libertarian rules of thumb, like “the three Ss — shoot shovel and shutup”, “better judged by 12 than carried by 6”, and “Where Guns Are Outlawed Terrorist Need Only Boxcutters” — I wouldn’t tell you not to do it. It’s your tush.

BUTT (there’s always a big but) for woman your size, I suggest a nice 380. And, no one’s going to have to compromise their safety. A 1911 might be too big. It’s the gun that tamed the Philippines. A hopped up native with a machete found it difficult to advance when hit ANYWHERE with the equivalent of a ¼ car.

If you don’t want a handgun, I’d then suggest a shotgun. No aim required. And, jacking the shell into the chamber makes a sound that is very satisfying.

One thing the mainstream media never reports is what the gun nuts call “the violence avoided by a firearm”. You’re at home and wave your shotgun at an intruder who runs away; that will NEVER be reported in the press.

Remember an old and true, military motto, “Si vis pacem, para bellum” from Flavius Vegetius Renatus circa 375 AD: “If you want peace, prepare for war.”

Donna Nobis Pacem!

GUNS: The lesson of Arizona is more guns for self-defense and the defense of others

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

http://agebuster.wordpress.com/2011/01/10/gun-control

Gun control

*** begin quote ***

Should just anyone be allowed to buy a gun?

*** end quote ***

Yes, anyone should be allowed to guy a gun.

Remember, that we have a Federal Instant Check, no one is reporting on that. Wasn’t that supposed to stop that? No one’s calling that to account. And, what about all the folks, who knew he was a “nut case” and did nothing.

The purpose of the Second Amendment is to empower the people to protect themselves from both bad people and their own government. The first thing that tyrants do is to disarm the people. Look at all the genocides in history, and the ESSENTIAL thing you’ll find is an unarmed citizenry.

The Government, which I call the Gooferment based on their track record, can’t protect you. What’s even funnier is its courts (no conflict of interest in that) have thrown out suits saying that the police have no duty to protect you. Restraining orders, “dial 911”, and the “(pseudo) War on (some) Drugs” are gigantic examples of stupidity.

I wish no one harm, but we can’t let this incident sway us from the principle, the RIGHT to keep and bear arms in our own defense.

Think how much different it would have been if there was an armed citizenry at this incident. It may have stopped the “shooting gallery” before it started. Criminals are cowards. Victims shouldn’t be defenseless.

“Gun Control” is victim disarmament. What “gun control” should be is hitting what you aim at!

THAT’S the lesson we should take from Arizona.

FL: Self-defense law gets man released from jail

Gunfire erupted on a Newtown street in May, leaving Patrick Barbour dead on the road and Alphonse Gallo in jail facing a murder charge and the possibility of life behind bars. But a judge listened to the details of the killing and ruled that Gallo, 35, should not be prosecuted for murder because of Florida’s stand-your-ground law, which allows people to use deadly force to defend themselves. Gallo testified that Barbour and several other men confronted him May 15 …. The two had a minor fight about 30 minutes earlier. Gallo testified that Barbour, 24, threatened to rob him and then pulled a handgun from a pocket. Gallo, who had a concealed weapons permit to carry a handgun, said he drew his own gun and fired at Barbour three times.

Putting Brian Aitken in prison isn’t going to make New Jersey any safer. It might, however, make some of the state’s residents think twice before calling the police, particularly if they own guns. It might even make some New Jersey gun owners wonder if they have more to fear from the state’s ridiculous laws and overly aggressive cops and prosecutors than they do from criminals. GUNS: Turn that goat into shepherd’s pie!

“Nobody saw what actually happened. They heard Bob yell,” Baccus told the Daily News.

The goat stayed, standing over Boardman, as he lay on the ground bleeding.

Bill Baccus, a park ranger not on duty but familiar with mountain goats, said he moved forward with a safety blanket and shook it at the goat, the newspaper reported.

He also pelted it with rocks, and after what seemed like a long time, “it moved away, but it stayed close by,” Jessica Baccus said.

*** end quote ***

Are you kidding me? The attack in the first place while attempting to “shoo away” an aggressive goat, then the first aid delayed, and everything complicated by the thing “hanging around” — all because We, The Sheeple have lost our stones and our Second Amendment rights! If he’d have been properly outfitted for a hike, like a Misguided Child, he have had his primary weapon, a rifle, to send the darned goat to pet heaven. Even a secondary weapon, like a girlie 380, would have been enough to “shoo away” anything smaller than a grizzly. Grizzly might have required a reload. My personal preference, from my time in the ‘Effete Force’, is the good old urban yute discouragement device Colt M1945. Guaranteed to turn an “aggressive Mountain Goat” into Shepherd’s Pie. And, “discourage” everything including the aforementioned grizzly. Of course, the poor victim would then have to face charges for the firearm’s discharge, ruining the goat’s day, and who knows what else PETA could dream up. But he’d be alive. Unbelievable!

Should You Shoot a ‘Child’?
by Karen De Coster

*** begin quote ***

Unfortunately, so many people have been taught to always submit, submit, submit – to the government, to folks with badges, and to the criminals. It’s a part of the propaganda and conditioning process that is used to quell critical thinking and individual resistance. Folks have been brainwashed to believe that no property they own is worth taking the life of another. However, none of these reeducated citizens can explain exactly how it is you go about finding out what your aggressor wants from you. Kindly asking questions first with the intention of pondering over the answers will certainly get you a trip to the morgue.

In a car theft, the car thief wants your property – whether it’s for a joy ride or turning a profit. That is to say, he’s looking for and making off with an empty vehicle. By definition, a carjacking shows much more violent intentions. The carjacker knowingly and purposely confronts an individual (or individuals) in an aggressive manner and the end result for the victim is often violence or death. The aggressor may desire to take the victim along with the vehicle, or, as is often the case, the attack and ensuing response from the victim results in a panicked aggressor who reacts with brute force. If the carjack victim is a woman, there is the additional risk of enduring a brutal rape.

His voice rises as he weighs the questions yet again. How do you treat a child like an enemy combatant? How do you threaten violence, even in self-defense, against a little boy? How do you shoot a pistol-packing 12-year-old child so warped that he’s willing to blow you away just to steal a car whose dashboard he probably can’t even see over?

How do you not?

*** end quote ***

The news story calls a 15 year old a “pre-teen”. That’s wrong.

When a child picks up a weapon to do a felony, then they forfeit the label “child”.

We need some new labels.

A criminal threat makes one a “target”.

GUNS: Gun Rationale

Saturday, October 2, 2010

PEOPLE ASK ME WHY?

Why I Carry a Gun?

My old grandpa said to me ‘Son, there comes a time in every man’s life when he stops bustin’ knuckles and starts bustin’ caps and usually it’s when he becomes too old to take a beating.’

I don’t carry a gun to kill people.
I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don’t carry a gun to scare people.
I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid.
I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil.
I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government.
I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry.
I carry a gun so that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.
I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m a cowboy.
I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.

I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man.
I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate.
I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don’t carry a gun because I love it.
I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

Police protection is an oxymoron.
Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I’m too young to die and too old to take a beating’

…..author unknown (but obviously brilliant)

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. >From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are ‘subjects’.

During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

If you value your freedom, please spread this anti gun-control message to all of your friends.

The purpose of fighting is to win.
There is no possible victory in defense.
The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.
The final weapon is the brain.
All else is supplemental.

SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN!
SWITZERLAND’S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE.
SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!
IT’S A NO BRAINER!

DON’T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALLLAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.

GUNS: Ms. Tori should have had an “equalizer”

Young woman ‘randomly beaten to death by jobless teenager who had rowed with girlfriend’
By Heidi Blake
Published: 8:49AM BST 09 Aug 2010

*** begin quote ***

A young woman was allegedly beaten to death in a random attack by an unemployed teenager who had recently rowed with his girlfriend.

Toni Rudman, 24, was dragged off the street in broad daylight and beaten to death in a nearby builders’ yard in Plumstead, south London.

*** end quote ***

This is a perfect blog fodder.

In the land of “no guns” and “no self-defense”, the strong criminal prevails. What about this woman’s “rights”. Supposedly protected by the Gooferment. ANd, taken away by a 19 year old rogue.

While technically correct, “teenager” is a misnomer. He’s a thug. Perhaps, you could call him a “young adult”, but “teenager” isn’t appropriate. He’s a criminal.

Now, I can’t be sure that a gun would have made a difference, BUT I would certainly like to see Ms. Toni Rudman given a fighting chance. Sam Colt is correctly applauded, “God made man, but Samuel Colt made them equal,” originated as advertising slogan for Colt Manufacturing. It should have been: “God made men and women, but Samuel Colt made them equal”! I can’t say for certain that a nice little 380 in Ms. Tori’s hand would have saved her life. But, I, for one, think that she should have had a chance to defend herself.

That’s what Sheeple on both sides of the pond would like to forget. The world is a dangerous place. And, as if the four legged varmints were not enough of a threat, “We, The People” have allowed a whole subspecies of two legged ones to thrive. While I am a right to lifer where babies are concerned, I’m a little L libertarian who thinks that Ms. Tori had the “unalienable right to life”. As does the “teenager”, up to the point where he initiated force on Ms. Tori. At that point, he made a choice. And, he suffers the consequences of that choice. Ms. Tori SHOULD have had the option to defend her life.

As an interesting thought experiment, if Ms. Tori had been “packing heat”, and if she dropped the “teenager” with a magazine load, then would she have been charged? Probably, because he was just “misunderstood” and she would have “over reacted”.

Another interesting thought experiment, if “open carry” was legal, and if she had on her stylish holster, do you think the “teenager” would have attacked her? Remember Robert A. Heinlein admonishment. “An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.” He wrote a whole book about an armed society. Juvenile science fiction? I think not.

We are living in a time when the Sheeple are convinced by their politicians and bureaucrats that the timeless laws are suspended. The old ones no longer apply. Just yesterday, I heard Mayor Bloomberg pontificating about “keeping firearms out of the hands of criminals”. The only way that is going to happen is if he cuts off their hands. Criminals don’t obey laws. It may be a bumper sticker, but it’s still true: “When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns”. (I call Bloomberg a pontificator, because he has tax-payer supplied 24/7 armed security. And, even before he was mayor he had bodyguards. (I know I met him twice and saw him several times on Wall Street. He was a real SOB then. I doubt he’s changed. Thought he was right then; no doubt still does.) Unless you think the hulking guy, with the strategic bulge who was always with him, was really his “aide”.

Bottom line: I grieve for Ms. Tori. She was killed by the Gooferment. Just as surely as if they had beaten her to death themselves. England is the land of fools. They think that a Gooferment diktat can repeal the laws of nature. Those twits have made it back into the Jungle. Survival of the fittest. The strong can kill all those weaker than themselves. With just the barest of inconvenience. Watch the results. This “teenager” will be portrayed as: a poor helpless waif; totally misunderstood; who was failed by society which should have given him a job; and was a romantic rejected by his life’s love. Get out the violins and flowers. You will think he’s saint who stumbled.

Instead, he’s evil. A criminal who preys on the weak. To satisfy his blood lust. He deserves to be removed from the gene pool. Just as he did Ms. Tori.

I’d suggest a “must carry” law. And, mandatory gun training and swimming lessons for everyone. Especially girls. Since they seem to get the shit end of the stick.

Gandhi said “Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.” Perhaps, he was wrong. Their self-delusion that they could legislate away the inalienable right to life and propagating that idea around the world will be the blackest. What they did to India was just a subset of that misdeed.

To arms, to arms, the British are coming. Even worse, their misguided idea have seeped into “liberal” minds here.

We need to revise that to the foolish idiots are coming to impose their will on us. Who care what costume they wear? All though lets hope they are nice and bright so were can aim at an easy target.

Sorry, Ms. Tori, you should have had a fighting chance. You should have been able to defend yourself with a true “equalizer”.

More importantly, we need to make Vermont-style carry the law of the land here. Nothing like “Ms Tori” should happen here. Arm all the women and girls. I trust them to make good decisions.

GUNS: “Well Regulated” means hitting what you aim at!

When Michael Lish returned home to find the back door and a window ajar, he entered cautiously with his handgun for protection. As he inspected the home, a man dressed in dark clothing and wielding a sword sprung out at him. Police say the burglar threatened Lish and walked toward him. Lish fired a shot, wounding the burglar who fell to his knees. The burglar reached behind his back in an apparent attempt to grab another weapon, forcing Lish to fire two more shots, killing him. The burglar, who was on probation at the time of his death, was also carrying two illegally possessed guns, a knife and a stun gun. (Tulsa World, Tulsa, OK, 04/03/10)

Sniper Targets Oakland Cops
By CHRISTIE SMITH
Updated 6:27 AM PDT, Tue, Jul 20, 2010

*** begin quote ***

The latest incident happened Sunday at about 11:30 p.m. Patrol officers were on a traffic stop near 8th and Adeline Streets in West Oakland when they heard shots. They were detaining people in a car on suspicion of drug-related offenses.

*** end quote ***

Good thing that the “disadvantaged urban yutes” never learned about marksmanship. Shooting down requires extra elevation because of the greater bullet drop. Better for the police that the “snipers” aren’t trained. Any “misguided child” after boot can make that shot; however, it’s doubtful they would. If we ended the (pseudo) War on (some) Drugs, then the police wouldn’t be down range on a hot range or in a one direction free fire zone.
