The impending release of a new documentary has dramatically revived media interest in the destruction of TWA Flight 800, the Paris-bound plane that blew up off the coast of Long Island in July 1996.

Although producers Tom Stalcup and Kristina Borjesson do not name names or point fingers, the video leads the viewer to believe that the U.S. Navy accidentally shot the plane down.

The video features a half-dozen truth tellers from within the investigation, and the news of it has inspired several more to step forward, including one who talked with WND about the disaster Friday.

Mack, not his real name, cautioned that his information was limited, but his insights had merit nonetheless. Mack was a crewmember on the sub, the USS Albuquerque.

This was one of three subs acknowledged by FBI spokesman James Kallstrom as being in the “immediate vicinity” of the crash site. The other two were the USS Trepang and the USS Wyoming.

I don’t fault the police officer. He was in a bad situation. It’s only int he movies that the bad guy can get shot and the hostage walks away.

Doesn’t anyone ask why was a repeat violent felon on parole in the first place. And, when he violated his parole, why wasn’t he scooped up?

Then, let’s talk about the “NY Safe Act” and the culture of “Victim Disarmament” that exists in New York, Chicago, LA, and New Orleans.

I don’t KNOW that an armed “good guy” could have changed the outcome. But, could it have made it any worse?

Argh!

Doesn’t “feel” like 2% to me. Just like “unemployment” doesn’t feel like 8%. And, inflation, don’t make me laff, ain’t ZERO! (Gasoline four years ago was UNDER $2 / per gallon and yday I paid 3¾$ per gallon! That’s 80% over four years or 20% per year. Consider that gas costs gets built into EVERY product and service created!)

Sorry, but we a “KILLING” people.

I trace it back to the “funny money”. It allows the politicians and bureaucrats to fool us. And, the standard that money should represent.

No, I am “shocked” — as in “I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!” Captain Renault in Casablanca — at the result. It doesn’t take a foreign policy wonk to understand why the Obama Administration is so desperate to “spin” its version of how Islamic terrorists attacked the U.S. Consulate (and diplomatic safe house) in Benghazi, Libya almost two weeks ago, resulting in the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.  As the true details of that incident begin to emerge, one thing is clear: this is a security, intelligence and leadership debacle of the first magnitude.

Mr. Stevens and his colleagues didn’t have to have to die–it’s that simple.  There were warnings of a possible attack up to three days prior, from Libyan officials and Egyptian intelligence.  There are also indications that the Brits knew something was up and shared that information with us, but to no avail.  Ambassador Stevens, who reportedly told co-workers he “had a price on his head,” elected to travel to the unsecure Benghazi facility, with no dedicated security detail.  However, it is unclear if Stevens received the latest threat information before setting out for the consulate.

And, it now evident that senior U.S. officials knew the Benghazi compound was under attack as it unfolded (emphasis ours).  According to media reports, President Obama was told of the assault between 90 minutes and three hours into the incident.  He later went to bed, before the fate of Ambassador Stevens and his colleagues was determined.

Based on what we’re hearing, it seems likely that President Obama was in receipt of similar messages on the night our consulate was breached and Ambassador Stevens was murdered, along with three other Americans.  And, if NSA was monitoring terrorist phone calls in the run-up to the attack, there is a very real possibility that the commander-in-chief knew what was going on well before the “three hour” mark.  That possibility raises very real questions about what Mr. Obama knew, when he knew it, and his initial response to the crisis.

As Congress digs deeper into the incident, they should ask the NSA Director (General Keith Alexander) about CRITIC reporting from Libya on the night in question.  The amount of CRITIC reporting by NSA is very small–usually no more than a handful of messages a year.  It won’t be very hard to determine if any FLASH/CRITIC messages were sent to the White House that night; when the President received them, and exactly what he knew before his “command decision” to go back to bed.

The media and the talking heads roasted Bush43 on the events of 9/11.

Yet, with this, we hear nothing.

Having worked at NSA, I know how serious they are about the mission.

FOreign policy has taken a back seat to the economy.

Maybe I’m a curmudgeon. Maybe I’m a cynic. Maybe I’m just a disagreeable SOB.

But I’m a vet.

And, I feel that I, and all other vets, were screwed by the political governing class.

The icon is Robert McNamara.

He knew the truth about “Viet Nam, Republic of”, but played along with the “gag”.

He confessed later on.

Too late for 55k boys who made the ultimate sacrifice because they weren’t in on the “gag”.

Ditto for WW1; Wilson’s war. Ditto for WW2; FDR’s war. Ditto for Korea; Truman’s war.

Sorry, but “We, The Sheeple” have put a stop to politician’s standing on the graves of a lot of good men and women to make their speeches.

Time to call them to account.

When the “enemy” arrives at the water’s edge, then, and only then, should we be asking the youth to defend their land.

Argh!

Un-patriotic?

Not in the least. 

Dissent is by definition patriotic.

Like Ron Paul says: “… first thing smoking coming in this direction …”!

Sorry, but I think the best way to honor Decoration Day is stop creating more graves to “decorate”.

And, the fact, that a charity has to pander on TV for funds to take care of the “wounded warriors”, is further national disgrace.

Tell me about how that’s fixed and the girls and boys aren’t wasting their blood, then you can celebrate “Memorial Day”.

Anyone who has any doubt about the pro administration bias of the media or the anti gun bias of our media need only look at the current Secret Service scandal. I may be mistaken but it seems to me that over the last two weeks the news have given more time to the fuss created by Secret Service agents trying to cheat prostitutes out of their pay than it has given the Gunwalker Scandal over the last two years.

Anyone who pays attention to things will note that more people have been fired, reprimanded, or allowed to quit over cheapskate gate (doesn’t even rate caps) than have been punished over Operation Fast and Furious. Apparently the Government “error” which caused the deaths of some two hundred or so Mexican citizens, plus American citizens killed because they were visiting kin in Mexico, plus at least two American Law Enfocement agents is less noteworthy than Secret Service agents defrauding whores.

How can you possibly “get in front of it”? My experience with such was a boss at AT&T who suicided. Catholic. Two boys high school age. Nice guy. Making great money. NO ONE suspected it. He just did it. From time to time, when I hear about a suicide, I think of him. Still don’t understand why. :-(

To that end, it has been my contention that this administration, the past administration and the entire upper end structure of the military machine has failed miserably. Not only have they chosen the wrong strategy to achieve a definable victory for their nation, they chose one that has been disproportionately brutal for our forces while providing cover for the enemy and the population that has proven over and over again to be untrustworthy.

History has defined and will continue to define only a miniscule number of opportunities for a theater-wide application of the precepts of Counterinsurgency Doctrine to have been efficacious. Even a casual glance at the human terrain in either Iraq or Afghanistan, with Syria and Iran to possibly follow, should have given the critical thinker everything they needed to adequately keep COIN under lock and key in the vault of terrible ideas.

First of all, if someone can point me toward the ongoing, public record of support for America in either of these operations or the public record of Muslim denunciation of the actions of the “terrorist” or “radicalized” Muslim or Jihad as a war doctrine, Taqiyya as a deceptive practice with the intent of keeping the enemy off balance, please show me?

The clear evidence only suggests groups as defined by those who willingly strap on bombs and those who do not. Unfortunately, we know that from within the second group comes the financial and spiritual support for the first.

Suggesting you can parse these two and do harm to one while garnering support for said harm from the “moderates” simply misses the truth about religion – all religion!

We watch the wanton destruction of human life by the forces of Islam and the associated silence from the “moderates” every day. Is it the contention of those who submit to the “two Islams” vision that we should continue to assume the best of a people whose religion is belligerent to non-believers?

The First Sargent correctly imho distills the “problem” into the concept: “It not what we think, it’s what it is that counts.”

Their “moderates” support their “extremists”.

Any failure to recognize this fact in policy, strategy, or tactics dooms us to failure. And, failure, in this case, translates into dead human beings. Soldiers and civilians on both sides are lost due to the stupidity of our leadership. Or lack there of.

We need to get the girls and boys out of the fire zone until we figure it out.

“We, The Sheeple” learned nothing from Viet Nam.
