A shirtless hiker who went missing in remote California mountains has been found alive after 10 days after he vanished – saying he surviving drinking water from his boot and eating wild berries.  
 
Lukas McClish, 34, didn’t tell anyone where he was going when he set off on a three-hour walk through the Big Basin Redwoods State Park in Boulder Creek on June 11.
 
He planned to visit some rare granite outcroppings in the area.

Maybe a lucky fool who overestimated his skills.  Going on a hike without telling anyone where and no supplies?
 
</sarcasm> … Hell, I won’t go to the local McDonalds without telling someone where I’m going. .. <sarcasm/>
 
Seriously, I really wonder about people’s intelligence level and sanity.When I was in USAF survival school, we were taught to “plan to be lost”.  And we were in a national forest in Idaho.  And, you can really feel “lost” in a forest and disoriented very quickly.  A proper compass, topological map, and proper “survival” kit is essential for a good outcome.
 
Never mind that he was unarmed in cougar country.  
 
And, btw, who pays for his rescue?  It would seem that the Big Basin Redwoods State Park would see “rescue insurance” to everyone to defray the cost of reducing the unprepared.

A heartbroken mother whose daughter was allegedly raped and murdered by a teenage MS-13 gang member from El Salvador has filed a lawsuit against the federal government for playing “Russian roulette with our lives,” accusing agents of failing to stop the suspect at the border.

Tammy Nobles, the mother of 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton, argues in her $100 million lawsuit that both the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services failed her daughter by allowing the unidentified migrant into the country without confirming his identity.

Nobles and another grieving mother testified on Thursday in front of the House panel conducting an impeachment inquiry into Alejandro Mayorkas, who they accuse of not enforcing federal immigration laws.

Perhaps, when the gangs kill a politician or a bureaucrat, then something will get done!

Residents of a small town in Ohio fear for their health and safety after huge clouds of toxic chemicals were released in a controlled explosion following a train derailment earlier this month.

About 50 cars, including 10 carrying hazardous materials, derailed in a fiery crash in East Palestine at about 9pm on Friday, February 3.

Homes within a one-mile area were soon evacuated as vinyl chloride was slowly released from five of those cars. Authorities then ignited the gases for a ‘controlled release’ of the highly flammable, toxic chemicals in a controlled environment, creating a dark plume of smoke seen miles away.

I point to my personal “EXHIBIT #1” of Christie Todd Wittman, the head of the EPA, assuring us that the air around the 911 site was safe to breathe. 

I wouldn’t believe any Gooferment assurances about safety,

Where are the Ohio Senators and Representatives?  The Ohio governor, all their politicians, and bureaucrats?

Any wagers that they are not down there breathing that “air”?

  • Surveillance footage caught the moment a New York City bodega worker allegedly stabbed a customer to death after the man pushed him
  • Jose Alba, 51, was seen sitting behind a counter at the Blue Moon Convenient Store when 37-year-old Austin Simon confronted him
  • Simon then pushed the man into a shelf before yelling at another customer trying to purchase something from the store
  • He then pulls Alba out of the chair, at which point Alba allegedly pulls out a large knife, which he plunges into Simon’s neck and chest at least five times
  • Simon was later pronounced dead at a local hospital
