Ideas Please

QUESTION

Asked by “MASTER”

I need Ideas Please!!?

I am a really creative writer except I dont know any good topics could you guys and gals please help me?

ANSWER

Dear “MASTER”:

Well, ideas are a dime a dozen. Unfortunately, good ideas are priceless. I’ll give you a couple. You’ll have to decide which is what!

As I understand it, you’re looking for fodder that you use as grist for your mill.

If you’re interested in creating systems that will spew out ideas, then you need to read the Edward De Bono sites (main link cited) about lateral thinking, paradigms, memes, and a lot of other strange ideas.

If you’re interested in having people bring interesting ideas to you, start a free blog at wordpressdotcom. (I would suggest that you spend the 15$ and get your own domain names. You might get lucky and hit the next meme buster, ebay, or pet rock dot com. If you do, that 15$ will allow you to move easily.

Hope this helps. I’m interested how it works out for you. Drop me a note sometime. My blog may have helpful “stuff”.

Indian Share Investor

QUESTION

Asked by “Rajesh”

My thoughts is correct??? about my future !!!!?

i want to be a investor in indian share market.
it is right or wrong ?
please answer this dear all….

ANSWER

Dear “Rajesh”:

Well, it’s a little hard to tell someone, anyone, that their “thoughts are incorrect”. It’s a little like telling some one that their opinion is wrong. How can an opinion be wrong? If I say my opinion is X, then the only way it can be “wrong” is if my opinion is really Y or Z and I lied, forgot, or had a brain freeze. But, opinions, your thoughts, can rarely be “wrong”. It’s obvious that English isn’t your first language, or your typing leaves something to be desired. And, you don’t tell us you age or country. But permit me to make some observations and give you an opinion.

I’m going to assume that you are young and trying to decide on a career path. I don’t know where in your life you are: under parent’s wing, striking out on you own, plowing your “field”, “harvesting rewards”, or planning your estate. But, assuming you are in stage one or two, I would observe that it’s best to keep your options open. It gives you future flexibility. Clearly if you said doctor, lawyer, or indian chief (n.b., that’s an American joke describing the head of native american indian’s tribe and used as metaphor for jobs you have to be born into), you have to take a certain path. To be an “investor in the indian share market”, which I assume to be a trader in the Indian Stock market), you can do that by aiming your career path in that direction.

My suggestion is that you, take the advice I’ve given in the past: (1) manage your finances carefully and not get into “bad” debts (i.e., student loan for a useful degree or home mortgage is “good” debt; a car loan is “iffy”; credit card and consumer debt is “bad”); (2) get an education for a white collar job; (3) get a blue collar skill (i.e., I have never seen a poor plumber); (4) if you can, have one or more web based businesses; (5) make sure you have and enjoy all the experiences that make life worth living (i.e., party a little); (6) make the world a better place (i.e., be a “good person” how ever you define it).

So, if that means “being an investor”, then go for it. But, I’d urge you to look for things that give you more choices in the future, not less.

Hope this helps. I’m interested how it works out for you. Drop me a note sometime. My blog may have helpful “stuff”.

QUESTION

Asked by sheratonsami

How can I contact my fans?

I participated successfully Q&A, as a result I got amazing fans, and I would like to contact and email them, to build a good friendship with them, but I didn’t know how?

ANSWER

Dear “sheratonsami”:

Well, you didn’t say what the Q&A was about, but if it was about tomorrow’s winning lotto numbers, then I’d be a fan too. Assuming that you have further contact with your old fans, or their contact information, then you might be able to offer them some reasons to be bigger fans. Or, going forward, if you have more Q&As, then you can be ready to build that fan base. I can think of some things that you can offer, that might encourage more and bigger fans. Like, the ability to ask the questions that they forgot or didn’t get to ask. Like, the summary of all the Q’s & A’s that were asked that they missed, didn’t hear, or didn’t comprehend. Like, pointers to examples, further info, or related material.

My idea would be to have business cards that point to your website / blog.

For under a fifty bucks, some effort, some calendar time, imho, you can get better “known”. I’d suggest a blog as the underlying engine for building your fan base and enthusiasm.

(1) Check for an available domain name you like (www dot sheratonsami dot com is available), but don’t buy it yet.

(2) Get a free wordpress blog at www.wordpress.com. Sign up as “sheratonsami”. Or whatever domain name you decide on that is available.

(3) Buy the domain name feature from wordpress for $15 — it includes the registration of the domain name. (How’s that for cheap?)

(4) You now have a web site and a domain name. Use the blog posting part to put fresh content on your blog. Put something meaningful there daily.

(5) Use the pages part to put more static posts like your Q&A summaries, pictures, stories, prices, or event schedules out on your “site”.

(6) Sign up for the free Gmail for Domains and get email via your domain. You can be sheratonsami at sheratonsami dot com.

(7) Sign up (free) at the various blog directories.

(8) Submit to the search engines

(9) Use the search engines to “find” yourself which improves your site in the search engines eyes. :-) [That’s circular reasoning! By telling the search engine to look for me and finding it, it makes me more find-able by regular people.]

All this is about building your “brand” with your fans. On your business card, put your name, web address, and email. So you’ll have a professional website with up to date content for cheap. And, your fans will love it. What fan wouldn’t. And it’s really cheap and easy!

Yell if you want help with it. (I’m free and do this stuff for fun!) And, let me know how you make out if you decide to try it.
