A Tennessee mother has shared a chilling surveillance video showing a deranged stranger breaking into her home in broad daylight and forcing her to lock herself and her terrified toddler son in the bathroom until police came to the rescue. 

Keane Winchester, 26, a married mom-of-one from Lake County, says she was spending time with her two-year-old son last Thursday when she heard someone banging on her door and a male voice yelling ‘help.’

Winchester said at first she was not sure what was happening, but then she heard the intruder punching her door and windows, she told WBBJ.

I think that this lady should have had a “tool” to dispose of this threat.  Personally, an AR15 would be excellent choice (i.e., low recoils; high stopping power; highly accurate; multiple rounds available).

As a pro-life little L libertarian, I am not for killing anyone but in “self-defense” that’s a whole different situation.

In the United States, no firearm is as tightly controlled as machine guns. You have to get permission from law enforcement to buy one, then you pay a special tax, all to get a fully automatic weapon. It’s everything the gun control crowd could want. Especially since people can’t buy anything made after the 1987 machine gun ban, thus making the surviving weapons extremely expensive.

Based on the arguments of anti-Second Amendment types, this should mean no one is ever killed by a machine gun.

And yet, a Houston police officer was killed with one earlier this year, as the officer’s bodycam footage makes clear.

What these people tend to forget is that criminals are ingenious.

More specifically, some criminals are ingenious. They will find all sorts of ways to do illegal things no matter what you throw up to stop them. We now have to sign in order to get certain allergy meds because some used the stuff to make meth, but since the rule went into effect, meth manufacturing has chugged along just fine, simply shifting to a different ingredient.

Guns are no different.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure a few actually do. The thing is, it shouldn’t matter. Our right to keep and bear arms isn’t to be infringed. Requiring someone to show a need or else they can’t bear arms sure as hell sounds like infringement to me.

Luckily, this case is before the Supreme Court. Many think we’ll see constitutional carry handed down by the Court. I’m more skeptical. I think we’ll definitely see the end of requirements like this. We might even see the Courts rule that shall issue is the most states can do.

Regardless, the case matters because I can’t imagine how many others got death threats but were told by the state of New York that their lives just aren’t a good enough reason to be permitted to carry a gun.

More importantly, how many of them died because they couldn’t?

President Biden’s topic was one of utmost importance Wednesday — crime and gun violence. But you wouldn’t know it from the way he spoke.

He slurred his words. He called the ATF “the AFT.” At one point, he talked about the history of the Second Amendment and “the blood of patriots” before concluding that someone would need nuclear weapons to take down the government. If you weren’t confused, you were horrified.

Biden was obviously tired, speaking in barely a monotone. He couldn’t pronounce “cognitive.”

As I said on Facebook, Biden and his speech writes are ignoring the Afghan irregulars, who armed with late 1890’s and early 1900’s weapons, fought the USSR and the USA to defeat.

Imagine what would happen in the USA where ⅓ of the population is armed with modern weapons, the hunters are even more dangerous, and our “drug gangs” have to be the finest light infantry in the world. (And “light” maybe a miss categorization.)

Argh!

After reading the actual indictment, the firearms purchased by Smith were all semi-auto pistols. There were four Glocks, a Walther, a Taurus, and a Smith & Wesson. Notably, one was listed as a “Glock G42 .390 caliber pistol.” I can’t say I’m surprised that no one caught that little error.
