Scientific Americans says “The impact of the used EV market can’t be understated.” And that’s certainly true – as used and unwanted and so unsellable battery powered devices with wilting batteries accumulate and languish on used car lots all around the country – alongside the brand-new EVs that are accumulating and languishing on dealership lots all around the country.
Scientific American says nothing about the potential “impact” of this on the car industry. Or on the economy – that is to say, on all the people whose livelihoods depend in one way or another on the manufacture and sale of cars – after the car industry collapses as a result of being pushed, Soviet-style, to build as many battery-powered devices as can be shipped (but not sold) as the factories can churn out.

Doesn’t make “economic” sense. These “cars” are an ecological disaster when they are made, when they are used, and finally when they are junked. I watch them on the road and they are “virtue signals” until they have to be plugged in. Every once in a while, I see one with a dent and wonder when is it going to ignite.

In America and across the globe, they have taken life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness away from everyday citizens. They took licenses away from stellar physicians, closed small businesses, instigated riots and division, jailed people for not wearing masks and mercilessly allowed people to die. They enabled strong-armed fear tactics that promoted submission while they smiled in our faces, all the while knowing exactly what they were doing. NOT for the greater good.
They should not be trusted.
The sheer evilness of these antics are clear as day; say and do anything to generate profit even if it completely destroys others. The unwitting and innocent lined up with absolute trust in these officials. Many corrupt spokespersons for the corrupt media. Always, always follow the money. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion aren’t part of this plan from the elitist caste system. They are of their own kind, using their homogenous class to keep us riddled with illness, fear, doubt, subservience and obedience.

Sorry but there have been rumors that in the USA politicians like Old Befuddled Joe got saline injections purporting to be covid jabs. Of course, all these reports were dismissed as “Conspiracy Theories”. Now we have evidence that at least in New Zealand, the “elite” were exempt. Fair to ask: who, why, and how?
Why don’t we have an equivalent disclosure in the USA?
Personally, I wouldn’t trust anyone shilling for big Pharma. That especially include politicians, bureaucrats, and “celebrities”. Sickle Cell Gene Therapy
The US Food and Drug Administration yesterday approved a pair of gene therapy treatments for sickle cell disease, a group of inherited red blood cell disorders caused by mutations in a gene that produces an oxygen-carrying protein known as hemoglobin. One of the treatments, called Casgevy, is based on breakthrough CRISPR technology—a Nobel Prize-winning gene-editing tool (see 101, w/video)—and is the first approved gene-editing therapy in the US.
Codeveloped by Vertex Pharmaceuticals and CRISPR Therapeutics, Casgevy involves harvesting cells from a patient’s bone marrow, editing the cells in a lab using CRISPR technology, and inserting the modified cells back into the patient’s body. The second treatment, developed by Bluebird Bio and called Lyfgenia, uses a harmless virus to introduce a gene into a patient’s body to help produce a hemoglobin substitute. Both Casgevy and Lyfgenia have been approved for people 12 years and older.

Truly it was an arduous journey.
And, while it may be hard to understand, breakthroughs are expensive. But as soon as they are made, the inventors and others work on making it available cheaply and easily. Indoor plumbing, electric light, and automobiles quickly became available to the masses thanks to the “invisible hand” of the marketplace and the incentives af making a profit.
It would be better IMHO for him to focus on the Gooferment and its incestuous relationship with Big Pharma as the barrier to quicker progress.
