One thing many anti-gunners want is for there to be an ID requirement for each and every gun sale in this country. The fact that many also oppose ID requirements for voting seems kind of hilarious to me, but it is what it is.

Most of us have had to show ID while buying a firearm at one point or another. Maybe not for face-to-face transfers, but any gun bought in a store required an ID. 

This, some would argue, makes those sales nice and secure.

Yeah, about that…

ID requirements may sound good, but the truth is that it just means the market for fake IDs gets a little bigger. Similar can be said about literally everything else means to thwart criminals in their efforts to arm themselves.

It’s a lost cause and a waste of time to keep beating heads against walls and calling it gun control.

The Gooferment has to STRICTLY enforce “felon in possession” and enhanced sentences for crimes using a firearm.

I hope DJT4547 requires each of his Assistant Attorneys General to report how many convictions they get for “felon in possession”.  The following month, the lowest scoring AAG, and their next in command, should be required to report in person, a la Apprentice style, why this happened and how it’s to be remedied.  If DJT4547 doesn’t like the excuses, then their second in command can give it a try.  I bet crime with guns will drop like a rock within a year.  Criminals are not stupid.

Yet the courts have held that and many anti-gunners have even tried to approach the AR-15 as being a particularly unusual weapon. Despite it being the most popular model of rifle in the United States, some have even tried to argue that it’s not commonly owned.

AOC, however, in acknowledging that these are one of the most popular semi-automatic weapons in the nation, is also acknowledging that they are, in fact, commonly owned.

Whether you think “commonly owned” should matter or not, the reality is that many people do accept that as the standard, and for AR-15s, that hurdle has been cleared. If there should be a hurdle or not is a different topic entirely.

This “commonly owned” should not matter since we couldn’t own an automatic weapon for decades.  Not that a wise gun owner would want one unless you were facing a mob rushing you.  Then, you’d want to put as much as you could down range and wouldn’t worry about aiming.  Only in the movies, does the hero fire without aiming.

The Marines teach fire discipline.  “One bullet; one kill”.

AOC should be thanked for the rhetorical “gift”.

They took the money and pistol-whipped the victim and are currently at-large.

Now, either this gentleman didn’t have a firearm or couldn’t get to it in time, so it didn’t turn into a defensive gun use. However, let’s say, for the sake of argument, that he did.

Do you think one shot would have ended the threat? There were four of them. According to this report, all four were armed.

In out forefathers’ days, “home invasion” was unheard of.  Crime came with a chance of death.

So too, a “home invasion” should have a high probability of “return fire”.

There’s is no excuse for the Gooferment promising “protection” and enforcing disarming victims.

Shirley Watral, the state director of the Florida Women For Gun Rights Organization, is a domestic violence survivor and professional firearms instructor. In the hearing, she shared how her views on gun ownership changed after how the man she was in love with kidnapped her and tortured her for 15 hours (via Judiciary.House.gov):

    Attempts I made to escape were met with beatings. I was no match for his size and strength. I was forced to stay seated or kneeling on the floor of the master bedroom. As the hours went by, I found no way out. I thought my salvation came when he brought out a gun and set it on the bed. Hours prior to this, no one heard my screams or came to my rescue. I saw the gun as my way to freedom. I could either use it to defend myself or get a shot off that the neighbors would hear.

Yeah, I know Christmas Eve is supposed to be about the Prince of Peace’s birthday.

But, to the victims of Domestic Violence, it often brings out the worst.

Christmas, New Years, ad Superbowl Sunday are supposedly the worst for it.  

I only know that when there’s a lot of drinking that’s when the family ugliness comes out.

Yossakorn would allegedly buy BB guns for about as much as 8,000 baht, or around $230, and sell them for 15,000 baht, or about $430.

Not too shabby of a profit, really.

Understand, Thailand has all that gun control. If gun control works as advertised, how could anyone turn a BB gun into a fully-functional firearm?

And I’m trying to figure out what video he watched on YouTube, especially since the site is known to be hell on anyone showing American audiences how to build guns, even though that’s perfectly legal here. So I’m curious just what he was watching and when did he watch it.

Put this in the “Criminals Are Not Law Abiding” and people have God-given inalienable right of self-defense.

Feel sorry for this poor guy trying to make a few bucks empowering others.

I too am interested in what YouTube video he watched.
