NEWJERSEY: What was he doing out after ONE DWI charge?

Journalist ratioed for declaring illegal alien fatal DWI suspect (with two prior arrests this year) had “largely clean driving record”
August 14, 2025 Matt Rooney

*** begin quote ***

His conviction record may be light? After all, he came here illegally from somewhere else! But to suggest a man with three pending DWI charges in a single year has a “largely clean” driving record is, at best, grossly manipulative particularly since the debate is over whether Phil Murphy’s sanctuary statehood regime prevented this asshole from being deported; had he been deported after either of the other alleged DWIs this year, then a mother and her child would still be alive today.

*** end quote ***

What was he doing out after ONE DWI charge?

If I was the judge, I’d have found a way to keep him off the road.  And, after the third charge, I’d say he was a “near and present” danger, and needed “quarantining”.

Lock him up until the trials.

Argh!

And, maybe the judge should be recalled or retired?

Argh!

NEWJERSEY: Unfortunately, the New Jersey taxpayers have to live in the real world.

This isn’t leadership

My heart is breaking for the state of New Jersey — and I am furious.

The Democrats push preschool expansion for 3- and 4-year-olds while ignoring the crumbling schools we already have — schools with no busing, failing test scores, stripped extracurriculars, and students forced to pay to participate in basic activities. All while their parents are crushed by obscene taxes.

Meanwhile, irresponsible school districts are using our tax dollars to go on lavish trips to Honolulu, hold open bar events, and spend $225,000 on balloon decorations — while holding their hands out claiming there’s no money for teachers, programs, or transportation.

They’re seizing a multi-generational family farm through eminent domain to force mandated “affordable” housing that our communities can’t afford and our infrastructure can’t support.

They’ve turned their backs on clean, affordable natural gas and shut down reliable power sources — chasing green energy fantasies that don’t exist — while we import energy from fossil fuels and coal-burning states and pretend it’s progress.

The Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee has been “fiscally raped” by the Democrat party, the “Teachers’ Union”, and all sorts of leftist liberal midwest with dreams of an “ideal world”.

Unfortunately, the New Jersey taxpayers have to live in the real world.

All the economics are headed in the wrong direction.

Dismal results, escalating costs, and a complete utter failure of any type of political supervision or will to address the problem.

When faced with an utter collapse, I suggest we “declare victory” and let the parent do what they want.

In the HANDS ACROSS NEW JERSEY tax revolt, I proposed a 60 year “solution’ to migrate from the current system to a radial solution.  It was simple:

  • Recognize that for what the Taxpayer spends on “education”, all students could go to the Princeton Hun Academy (obviously absurd)
  • All schools would be “gifted” to the schools’ staff to organize (subject to some restictions on selling the real estate)
  • All students would be giver “red vouchers” representing the State’s contribution to their education.
  • For the next 20 years, each year 5% of the red vouchers would turn “green” meaning the parents and guardians could “spend” them at any accredited school (meaning there would be a few rules around it)
  • For the following 20 years, 5% of all “red vouchers” would turn “green”.
  • For the final 20 years, the State would reduce the gross voucher amount by 5%
  • At the conclusion of 60 years, “public education” would no longer exist
  • I had a lot of details that (1) schools would have to post a bond to guarantee that they would stay in business; (2) School share holders would be locked in for some period of time; and (3) anyone moving in state would be “green”,

And, we could finally be free of the Gooferment Skrules, the Teachers’ Union (influence in politics), and the Prussian Model of “School” (making cannon fodder for the Army, willing morons for the factories, and useful idiots to vote for and be led by the elite).

Unfortunately, I wasn’t up to the task of selling the idea.   The R’s (republicans as opposed to the Democans) infiltrated the HANJ organization and destroyed any hope.

Sigh!

Imagine the Gooferment took over the shoe industry and only made average one-size-fits-all size 8½ shoes. How would that work out?  Yup, just like today’s education “system”.

Argh!

GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Time for patriots to “water” the Tree of Liberty — vote them all out

Op-Ed: Americans Once Again Betrayed by Their Own Uncle Sam
Dale Glading
Cross-Posted from DaleGlading.com

*** begin quote ***

It may be the greatest betrayal of Americans by their own government in U.S. history, right up there with Congress raiding the Social Security “lockbox” to pay current expenses. In that latter instance, the $2.8 trillion surplus that the Social Security Administration amassed from the mid-1980s through 2020 has been invested in interest-bearing Treasury securities. In other words, by investing in T-bills, the SSA has loaned the federal government money for its general operating budget, money that will have to repaid to cover future benefits by borrowing even more money (with interest) down the road.

Got it?

As a result of that “rob Peter now to pay Paul later” mentality, Social Security is expected to deplete its trust fund by 2037, after which benefits will have to be reduced by approximately 25% for the program to remain solvent. That means that a government program that was built upon the shoulders of Baby Boomers in the workforce is projected to collapse when those same Boomers are fully retired.

Sounds like a Ponzi scheme on steroids to me.

<< EDITOR ADDED: Absolutely!>

*** and ***

Even worse, FEMA is now in no position to assist American citizens in the path of Milton because it mismanaged its $33 billion budget, only $20 billion of which is actually designated for major disaster relief. How incompetent, unconscionable, and unforgiveable is that?

By comparison, Samaritan’s Purse operates on a $1 billion annual budget and provides far more emergency relief in a far more effective manner. According to Christianity Today, “the organization’s 160,000-square-foot warehouse and offices in North Wilkesboro, NC employ 385 people who buy, repair, maintain and retrofit millions of dollars’ worth of medical equipment, generators and water filtration systems, much of them donated. The warehouse has six emergency field hospitals ready to ship, four with tents, hospital beds, anesthesiology equipment, X-ray machines, and surgical suites – all engineered to fold into a plane’s fuselage. There are also miles of plastic tarps, mountains of clothing and boxes full of small brown teddy bears with the Samaritan’s Purse logo – a cross inside a circle.”

*** and ***

And so, I suggest the following: impeach Secretary Mayorkas for a second time and turn the rest of FEMA’s annual operating budget over to Samaritan’s Purse.

*** end quote ***

Clearly, the Federal Gooferment is a complete failure in so many many dimensions.  Time to start over.  Let’s dissolve “The United States” into its component parts and let the individual States figure out the problem.  Just declare bankruptcy and let the chips fall where they may.

NEWJERSEY: Is NJ doomed to become more unaffordable?

10 not-so-fun facts about Phil Murphy’s FY 2025 budget

February 27, 2024 Matt Rooney state budget

*** begin quote ***

  • Notwithstanding taxes rising again (see below), Murphy’s budget includes a $1.8 billion structural deficit and a $5 billion deficit over two years.
  • We were told that the corporate business tax surcharge had sunset, but Governor Murphy wants to retroactively tack a 2.5% tax (the “Corporate Transit Fee”) on state businesses effective January 1st. It’s a clear break with his Election 2021 promise to not raise taxes in his second term, and its purposed goal is to save NJ Transit from complete collapse. Good luck.

*** and ***

  • The StayNJ program – Election 2023’s big gimmick – is getting a relatively paltry $200 million infusion.

*** end quote ***

Not that it matters much who you vote for or against, the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee blunders along to be joke of the world in terms of affordability.  I can’t believe that ANYONE stays here if you have any other choices.

Sigh!

NEWJERSEY: Repeal the 17th Amendment; like alcohol prohibiition and the “war on some drugs” it was just a mistake

Is this really the best we can do?
November 16, 2023 Matt Rooney Election 2024 0

*** begin quote ***

Direct election of U.S. senators wasn’t always the case; it was viewed as a necessary reform. One infamous instance in the late 19th century involved our immediate neighbor to the south (Delaware) lacking representation in the U.S. Senate for two whole years owing to an epic impasse in its state legislature. Reformers believed, perhaps understandably, that the people would produce better results than the bosses and their hand-chosen state representatives.

The law of unintended consequences had other ideas. Cory Booker is no Daniel Webster, folks, as if you needed me to tell you!

A crook, an evil queen and an empty suit (who donated his suit to the Smithsonian).

Is this the best we can do? Really?

Even for New Jersey, notorious for making questionable electoral choices, this primary constitutes a new low. We’re slumming it and it shows in the results.

*** end quote ***

Time to get out the Constitutional Eraser and repeal a bunch of “amendments” the 16th, 17th, 25th, 26th, and 27th.

While we are at it, time to enact  term limits on ALL elective federal offices to ZERO consecutive terms in the same office.  And, let’s put some teeth in the 9th and 10th!

Argh!
