GOVEROTRAGEOUS: Politics trumps justice?

Minnesota state employee who allegedly caused over $20K in damages to Teslas is let off by woke DA — as cops slam deal
By Patrick Reilly

*** begin quote ***

A progressive district attorney has declined to charge a Tim Walz state employee allegedly caught causing $20,000 damage by vandalizing half a dozen Teslas — a decision ripped by the “frustrated” local police chief.

The suspected vandal, 33-year-old Minnesota government employee Dylan Bryan Adams, was allegedly spotted keying the vehicles and stripping their paint off while out walking his dog around the city.

Despite what police believe to be evidence of Adams committing felonies, Hennepin County District Attorney Mary Moriarty will seek diversion rather than criminal charges.

*** begin quote ***

Sorry, but this is an example of selective justice.

Hopefully, a civil suit will find for punitive damages.

Maybe “We, The Sheeple” in Minnesota may have something to say about this travesty.

The DA should be fired and possibly disbarred for this miscarriage.  And, as a State employee, the citizens have a right to expect better conduct from their “employee”.

Argh!

DISCOURAGING: Broken homes seems to be “acceptable”; not selfishness

I was devastated when my father abandoned me — yet liberals make excuses for broken homes
By Adam B. Coleman
Published March 30, 2025, 3:54 p.m. ET

*** begin quote ***

A child growing up in a broken home automatically puts them at a disadvantage. Studies across the board show that children of two-parent families have a better chance of success in education, in business . . . in life. Yet too often, society doesn’t do enough to encourage these unions, even saying it doesn’t matter. In his new book, “The Children We Left Behind: How Western Culture Rationalizes Family Separation & Ignores The Pain Of Child Neglect,” Adam B. Coleman explains how this is a terrible mistake of selfishness. An excerpt:

Why didn’t my father love me? Why did my father abandon me?

*** end quote ***

This really hit home.

I can still feel the “sting” of rejection.  And, these and other questions just get suppressed.  Maybe I should have been in “therapy”?  Even though that was unheard of.

At some point in time, one has to “grow up”, “grow a pair”, or “just accept the cards that life deals you”.

Shut up and move on.

But especially as the “game clock” winds down, the “Shoulda, coulda, and woulda! “ thinking emerges.  How would I have been different and how would my life have evolved differently.

Unfortunately, there’s no “time” VCR to remind and rerun / retry life.

“… checked the Eternal Possibilities Machine, which generates all the possibilities for use in creating the alternative worlds. In all those probability lines …” CHURCH 10●19●62 (Vol 1) 978-0-557-08387-9 page 45

I guess every child feels this and maybe that’s why things are this way now.

One of the many many things we’ll never know.

Sigh!

Experts reveal what caused Buddy Holly’s plane to crash 65 years ago today
By Social Links for Hillary Andrews, FOX Weather

So many sing about “the day that music died” on Feb. 3, 1959, when Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson were killed in a plane crash.

Don McLean coined the term in his 1971 hit “American Pie.”

The song about the decline of the 60s starts with the death of the three young musicians, “the end of the happy 50s,” he told Forbes Magazine.

Investigators point to quickly-changing wintry weather conditions that were not communicated to the inexperienced pilot as the cause of the crash that left such a tragic mark on music history.

Just a sad remembrance of the “happy 50’s”.

.VOCABULARY: As new euphamism ‘Promoted outwards’

World’s 5th richest man Bernard Arnault coins new phrase for being fired: ‘Promoted outwards’

By Shane Galvin

Published Jan. 29, 2025, 11:55 p.m. ET

*** begin quote ***

Arnault came up with the eye-roll-worthy corporate jargon Tuesday during an investor call for LVMH, the parent company of Louis Vuitton, Sephora, Dior, Fendi, Tiffany & Co, and several other luxury brands.

The French billionaire made the “promoted outwards” comment while discussing social media company META’s decision to lay off low-performing employees, according to Fortune.

Arnault, 75, claimed that those who lost their jobs are actually being “promoted” to better jobs at different companies.

*** end quote ***

I agree with him.  I’ve been ‘promoted outwards’ five times and, in four of those five, I got a better job rather quickly.  In the fifth one, I decided that I’d had enough of “employment” and retired.  My fiancé and friends gave me a nice surprise party to celebrate.  While I regret “retiring”, (Retirement is boring), I didn’t work myself to the grave for the benefit of a sow soulless enterprise that lost its way.  (That is you AT&T!).

Sigh!  Unfortunately I was born after the gold watch era was ending and before “your own business” became the way to FU money.  But, all in all, I survived it all even if “I didn’t do it MY WAY”.

Each era has its own challenges.

Success for your generation is: (1) ruthless financial discipline — no bad debt; (2) a life long interest in learning — education — a degree — they can’t take it away from you; (3) a NON-OFFSHORABLE white collar job in order to save big bux; (4) a blue collar skill for hard times — never saw a poor plumber; (5) one or more internet based businesses — your store is always open; (6) a free time hobby that generates income; and (7) a large will-maintained network of people who can “help” you.

I’ve blogged it before many many times and I think it’s still true.

POLITICAL: Scott Presler, an American success story, flips PA for DJT47

How a long-haired gay giant helped Trump flip Pennsylvania red

  • Standing at 6’5″ and 200 pounds with 22 inches of long brown hair running down his back, the gay conservative political activist told The Post, “I’m a big boy.”

*** begin quote ***

Presler also proved himself to be something of a political titan this year.

After losing Pennsylvania by some 80,000 votes in 2020, former President Donald Trump flipped the Keystone State red this November by 120,000 ballots.

Scott Presler helped register 50,000 Republicans in Pennsylvania, which went for Trump by 120,000 votes. Getty Images

That’s due in no small part to Presler, whose nonprofit Early Vote Action put the Trump campaign’s “Swamp the vote” strategy into action in Pennsylvania, registering Republican voters and getting them to vote early, by mail, or “by whatever means necessary,” the group’s website reads.

Quite a fellow.  It’s an American success story.  Maybe you, the reader <breaking the fourth wall>, could get involved and accomplish something.  Anything!

Regardless of how you feel about “politics”, the USA needs patriots to save the nation from the forces of evil.  Debt, deficits, “counterfeiting”, dispair, and Crony Capitalism.  Time for the “sunshine patriots” to step aside and let “We, The Sheeple” clean our Agean Stables.

If this fellow can do it, so can any of us.

A young hiker lost in the volatile Canadian wilderness for more than a month was found alive Tuesday after weeks of desperate searching, according to reports.

Sam Benastick, 20, was found hobbling down a service road in British Columbia’s Redfern-Keily Provincial Park, where he had been reported missing after failing to return home from a 10-day hiking trip on October 17, according to CBC News.

Is that a record of some type?

No details of what he did right and wrong.  Clearly, he was either very lucky or had some great skills.

I’d like to know what he was carrying and doing while “lost”.   And, of course, who pays for the search and rescue?

ENCOURAGING: A problem and a prescription to solve it (mostly)

Question for Trump to solve: Just how many million migrants did Joe let in? 8 million? 12? 15?
By Andrew Arthur
Published Nov. 13, 2024, 7:35 p.m. ET

*** begin quote ***

President-elect Donald Trump has promised to crack down on the southern border and deport those here illegally.

But the million-dollar question left by the Biden administration: Just how many people is that?

A recent House Judiciary report says that “For almost four years, Americans have watched as President Joe Biden and border czar Vice President Kamala Harris have abandoned the southwest border and welcomed nearly 8 million illegal aliens into the United States.”

But that 8 million is likely an undercount — and perhaps by a lot.

The House Committee on Homeland Security estimated in the spring that there would have been 10 million encounters during Biden’s four-year term. And that doesn’t include “got-aways” — people who crossed illegally without ever talking to a Border Patrol agent.

There are, meanwhile, all kind of “parole” and other programs the Biden administration used without Congressional approval to fly immigrants in directly from South America and other parts of the world.

*** end quote ***

OK, so the answer is “a lot”.  Some proportion are criminals or neer’do’wells,  While the rest are a mix of those seeking a better life or some who want to collect on the dole.

How do we differentiate who is a “Priority One Removal” and who don’t we really care about?

Fortunately some really smart people have some great ideas.

Expediting Deportation, Using Carrots and Sticks
By Ned Barnett

<< EDITOR ADDED DATE 2024-11-13>>

*** begin quote ***

How do you deport the roughly twenty million individuals living illegally in the United States? For a lot of reasons, this will be a huge challenge, and likely a costly one – when was the last time the government did anything even remotely correct without it busting the budget?

Well, for one thing, you could try offering incentives for people to make their deportation easier than it might otherwise have been.

First, offer them an option. Go home on your own, and you will be eligible to apply for legal residency, along with anyone else who wants to come to America and who hadn’t broken our laws to get here.

*** and ***

What about the stick? Tell this same population that if the government has to take actions to deport them, they will have to wait for more than the current ten years before even getting to the end of the line for legal immigration, lengthening the time before they can return to America, but this time as legal immigrants.

*** end quote ***

And, the details outlined seem very reasonable.

Then DJT4547 and his team can focus on the criminals, welfare cheats, and sanctuary cities and NGOs.

I like this approach.  We’ll see how they tackle it.

Bill Maher urges Democrats to ‘look in the mirror’ after Kamala Harris’ election loss
By Nicholas McEntyre

Bill Maher slammed the Democratic party as “losers” and urged them to “look in the mirror” following Kamala Harris’ presidential election loss to President-elect Donald Trump.

Maher, who once predicted that Harris would win the election, revealed that he “did not vote for the winner,” but accepted the election results — unlike his late-night counterparts earlier in the week.

“We had an election,” Maher said during his “Real Time” monologue on HBO Friday night. “I did not vote for the winner, we’ll see what the winners do now. They won, now they have reality they have to deal with. We’ll see what they do.”

*** end quote ***

The lady Sarah Isgur made an excellent point about inflation. That everyone just breezed by and ignored. It is one thing to say “inflation is down”. But what is meant is that the rate is down. People are forced to look Iive with the inflated prices. Those prices n ever return to previous values. To real people see that is what they think of as inflation. As Bill Clinton famously told his team “it’s the economy, stupid”. And he was so right. People see the inflated prices as their economy. And the host and liberal guest just breezed by the crux of their “inflation problem”.

Bil Maher made some other excellent points.

  • The floating garbage in the ocean!
  • High stock market and low unemployment.
  • The liberal condecension
  • The R’s became the party of the working man.

But he did not:

  • The missing 15 million Biden voters proving the 2020 fraud
  • The perfidy of Harris and the D’s that Joe Biden was “sharp as a tack”
  • The media’s disinformation was against “We, The Sheeple”

Make no mistake Bill Maher is a liberal with whom I disagree a lot with.  But like Piers Morgan, I think he is an “honest” liberal who I can respect and listen too.  I don’t need an echo chamber.  Although where would a little L libertarian find one?

There’s a meme going around Twitter and Facebook about political opinions.

Different opinions.Different opinions.

Now that I can get behind.  Different opinions but still can listen to what they say.

Iran executes California man Jamshid Sharmahd after abducting him during international flight layover, convicting him of terror charges
By Ronny Reyes
Published Oct. 28, 2024, 1:44 p.m. ET

Iran has executed a California resident after Iranian agents abudcted him during a flight layover in Dubai four years ago, officials said.

Sharmahd, 69, a German-Iranian dissident who lived in Glendora with his family, was accused by the Islamic Republic of planning a 2008 attack on a mosque that killed 14 people and wounded over 200 others.

His family disputes the terror charges, claiming Sharmahd is among the many Iranian dissidents who have been kidnapped or tricked into returning to Iran in recent years.

*** end quote ***

Almost regardless of whether he was a US citizen or just a resident, the USA should have stepped up for him.  But we are too busy making enemies in the region.

Now, at the very least, the USA should PNG some folks.  Maybe aim for the embassy workers.  Make it inconvenient for them.

And we should shut down all the attacks on and rhetoric about Iran.

Germany Shutters Iran Consulates

Germany ordered the closure of all three Iranian consulates there yesterday, expelling 32 Iranian diplomats and leaving only Iran’s embassy in Berlin. The move followed Iran’s execution of German-Iranian citizen Jamshid Sharmahd.

Sharmahd, 69, was executed Monday after being sentenced to death last year on terrorism charges. Following his 2020 capture by Iranian forces in Dubai, Sharmahd was accused of leading a US-based Iranian opposition group and planning a 2008 mosque attack in Shiraz, killing 14 people and wounding more than 200 others. The US and human rights groups criticized the trial, alleging Sharmahd was not given proper representation.

The news escalates tensions between the two countries, with relations previously strained by Iran’s nuclear program and human rights abuses and Germany’s support for Israel. Germany halted trade incentives with Iran in 2022, reducing exports to approximately $1.3B in 2023, a 24% decrease from the previous year. Germany is now calling for EU-wide sanctions against those involved in Sharmahd’s execution.

PEACE: Using a nuclear bomb should be unthinkable; Hibakusha’s peace prize should remind us of that

Japanese organization Nihon Hidankyo, a grassroots movement of atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday, in a warning to countries who have nuclear weapons not to use them.

Witnesses to the only two nuclear bombs ever to be used in conflict, members of the group, also known as Hibakusha, have dedicated their lives to the struggle for a nuclear-free world.

*** end quote ***

Using a nuclear bomb should be unthinkable.  But when in a war and you’re losing, suddenly the unthinkable becomes very thinkable.

The USA Gooferment should IMMEDIATELY tell Ukraine and Israel that they will no longer supply money and weapons for their wars.

Russia, who much to my surprise, seems to be the “adult in the room” and has offered to negotiate peace.

Israel and the Arab world must come to the peace table.  And. Since the Gooferment loves twisting arms so much, let that become their number 1 priority.

Finally, NATO, which has long outlived its intended purpose, should shut down and give everyone a “peace dividend”.
